Nat, Fifth Mahalaa:
नट महला ५ ॥
ਜਾਕਉਭਈਤੁਮਾਰੀਧੀਰ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਧੀਰਜ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ,
Whoever has You for support,
जा कउ भई तुमारी धीर ॥
ਜਮਕੀਤ੍ਰਾਸਮਿਟੀਸੁਖੁਪਾਇਆਨਿਕਸੀਹਉਮੈਪੀਰ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਮਿਟ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਚੋਭ ਭੀ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
has the fear of death removed; peace is found, and the disease of egotism is taken away. ||1||Pause||
जम की त्रास मिटी सुखु पाइआ निकसी हउमै पीर ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਤਪਤਿਬੁਝਾਨੀਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਬਾਨੀਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇਜਿਉਬਾਰਿਕਖੀਰ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਤਪਸ਼ ਬੁਝਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਇਉਂ ਰੱਜ ਗਏ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਲਕ ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
The fire within is quenched, and one is satisfied through the Ambrosial Word of the Guru's Bani, as the baby is satisfied by milk.
तपति बुझानी अंम्रित बानी त्रिपते जिउ बारिक खीर ॥
ਮਾਤਪਿਤਾਸਾਜਨਸੰਤਮੇਰੇਸੰਤਸਹਾਈਬੀਰ॥੧॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਹੀ ਮਾਪੇ ਹਨ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਹੀ ਸੱਜਣ ਭਰਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
The Saints are my mother, father and friends. The Saints are my help and support, and my brothers. ||1||
मात पिता साजन संत मेरे संत सहाई बीर ॥१॥
ਖੁਲੇਭ੍ਰਮਭੀਤਿਮਿਲੇਗੋਪਾਲਾਹੀਰੈਬੇਧੇਹੀਰ॥
(ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ) ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਨ ਦੇ ਭਿੱਤ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਉਂ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਹੀਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀਰਾ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The doors of doubt are thrown open, and I have met the Lord of the World; God's diamond has pierced the diamond of my mind.
खुले भ्रम भीति मिले गोपाला हीरै बेधे हीर ॥
ਬਿਸਮਭਏਨਾਨਕਜਸੁਗਾਵਤਠਾਕੁਰਗੁਨੀਗਹੀਰ॥੨॥੨॥੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ (ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਆਨੰਦ-ਮਗਨ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੨॥੩॥
Nanak blossoms forth in ecstasy, singing the Lord's Praises; my Lord and Master is the ocean of virtue. ||2||2||3||
