ਜਾਇਰਾਵਪ੍ਰਤਿਯਹੈਉਚਾਰੋ॥
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ (ਸਾਡੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਇਹ ਕਹੋ
ਤਵਦੇਖਨਕੌਹਿਯੋਹਮਾਰੋ॥੪॥
ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
‘Go and tell the Raja that we wan ted to have the pleasure of meeting him.( 4)
ਯੌਸੁਨਿਬਚਨਰਾਵਤਿਹਆਯੋ॥
ਇਹ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਥੇ ਆਇਆ।
ਚਾਰਿਚਾਰਿਭੀਤਰਿਬੈਠਾਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਚਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੌਕੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Getting such communication he came over, but on his way, he established the posts of four persons each.
ਤਿਨਆਯੁਧਦੇਖਨਕੌਲਏ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਲਏ।
ਹਾਥੋਹਾਥਕਾਢਿਕੈਦਏ॥੫॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਹੱਥੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਕਢ ਕੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੫॥
Then he requested Raja to show him his arms, and he readily agreed.(5)
ਆਯੁਧੁਕਾਢਿਐਸਬਿਧਿਦਏ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਕਢ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਜੋਰੇਏਕਬਨਾਵਤਭਏ॥
ਕਿ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਜੋੜੇ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਗ ਗਏ।
He gave in all those and, then, ordered new clothes them.
ਜਾਕੀਬਾਹਸੀਵਿਦੋਊਲੀਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੀ ਲਈਆਂ
ਬਿਨੁਬਾਧੋਮੁਸਕੈਜਨਦੀਨੀ॥੬॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਬਿਨਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਕਸ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੬॥
The sleeves of those were prepared such that, without tying even, the arms could not be moved.(6)
ਏਕਭਾਟਕੌਭੇਦਬਤਾਯੋ॥
ਇਕ ਭਾਟ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਦ ਦਸ ਕੇ
ਰਾਜਾਕੇਮੁਖਪੈਕਹਾਯੋ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਤੇ ਇਹ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ
He trained a bard to say to Raja at his face,
ਜੋਸਭਸਸਤ੍ਰਦੈਮੁਝਡਾਰੇ॥
ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ
ਤੌਦਾਤਾਤੂਜਾਨਹਮਾਰੈ॥੭॥
ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਸਾਡਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਮਝੋ ॥੭॥
‘If you give me all your arms, only then I will consider you benevolent person.’(7)
ਯਹਸੁਨਿਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਦੈਡਾਰੇ॥
ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਹੋਰਰਹੇਮੰਤ੍ਰੀਨਨਿਵਾਰੇ॥
ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੋੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ (ਉਹ ਦੇਣੋ) ਨਾ ਟਲਿਆ।
Acquiescing to the request, the Raja handed over the arms in spite of the warning of his ministers;
ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਨਿਰਾਯੁਧਭਯੋ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ-ਹੀਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ
ਬਾਗੋਆਨਿਤਾਹਿਪਹਿਰਯੋ॥੮॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ (ਚੋਗ਼ਾ) ਪਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੮॥
They had envisaged the fact, that the Raja could not use his arms now, as he was going to wear white clothes.(8)

ਸੋਬਾਗੋਪਹਿਰਿਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਬਾਹਕਢੀਨਹਿਜਾਹਿ॥
ਉਸ ਚੋਗ਼ੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
Raja put that gown on, through which arms could not be taken out.
ਤੀਰਖਾਨਠਾਢੋਹੁਤੋਮੁਸਕੈਲਈਚਰਾਇ॥੯॥
ਖ਼ਾਨ ਕੋਲ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਕਸ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ॥੯॥
Teer Khan, who was standing there, tied up his arms.(9)

ਸੁੰਦਰਰਾਜਪੁਤ੍ਰਤਹਭਾਰੋ॥
(ਖ਼ਾਨ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ) ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰਾਜ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋ,
ਤੁਰਤਤੇਗਕਹਤਾਹਿਸੰਭਾਰੋ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਰਤ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਰ ਸੰਭਾਲੋ।
(He said,) ‘You are a prince, come quick and strike a blow.’
ਤਮਕਿਵਾਰਤਾਤੁਰਕਹਿਕਿਯੋ॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੁਰਕ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ
ਬਾਹਨਦੁਹੂੰਦੁਧਾਕਰਿਦਿਯੋ॥੧੦॥
ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ) ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਦੋ ਦੋ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ॥੧੦॥
(As he could not,) Then the Turk struck and cut his both the arms.(10)

ਏਕਰਾਵਅਗਨਿਤਤੁਰਕਕਹਲਗਿਲਰੈਰਸਾਇ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਇਕ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰਕ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਸਨ, (ਉਹ) ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਦ ਤਕ ਲੜਦਾ।
Raja was all alone, but the Turks were in great number.
ਸੁੰਦਰਕੌਰਾਜਾਭਏਮਾਰਤਭਏਬਜਾਇ॥੧੧॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੧॥
The handsome Raja was killed after challenges.(11)

ਜਲਕੇਅਸ੍ਵਅਸ੍ਵਇਕਜਾਯੋ॥
ਦਰੀਆਈ ਘੋੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਕ ਘੋੜਾ ਸੀ।
ਸੋਬਾਗਾਰਾਜੇਕੇਆਯੋ॥
ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਚੋਗ਼ਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ।
There was one (humanoid) horse, which was of good breed, it came near Raja.
ਚਰਵੇਦਾਰਤਾਹਿਲੈਗਯੋ॥
ਚਰਵਾਹੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਥੇ (ਰਾਜ ਮਹੱਲ ਵਿਚ) ਲੈ ਗਏ
ਭੇਦਰਾਨਿਯਨਕੌਲੈਦਯੋ॥੧੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਦਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੨॥
He took the Raja’s one garment and disclosed everything to the Ranis.(12)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥

ਕੁੰਕਮਦੇਘਨਸਾਰਦੇਯੌਸ੍ਰਵਨਨਸੁਨਿਪਾਇ॥
ਕੁੰਕਮ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਘਨਸਾਰ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ (ਸਾਰੀ ਗੱਲ) ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ।
Kookum and Ghansaar, both the Ranis, when heard this,
ਮਤੋਬੈਠਿਦੁਹੂੰਅਨਕਿਯੋਜੂਝਿਮਰਨਕੇਭਾਇ॥੧੩॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਜੂਝ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ ॥੧੩॥
They both decided to kill themselves fighting.(13)
ਜੌਹਮਰੇਪਤਿਲਰਿਮਰੇਸਮੁਹਬਦਨਬ੍ਰਿਣਖਾਇ॥
ਜੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਤੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਲੜ ਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ
‘If our husband has succumbed to the injuries inflicted to his body,
ਤੌਹਮਹੂੰਸਭਲਰਿਮਰੈਨਰਕੋਭੇਖਬਨਾਇ॥੧੪॥
ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮਰਦਾਵਾਂ ਭੇਸ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲੜ ਮਰਾਂਗੀਆਂ ॥੧੪॥
‘Then we all will die fighting disguised as men.’(14)

ਇਹ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ।
ਸਭਹੂੰਭੇਖਪੁਰਖਕੋਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਸਭ ਨੇ ਮਰਦਾਵਾਂ ਭੇਸ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
After scheming like this, they all disguised themselves as men,
ਏਕਦਿਸਾਕੁੰਕਮਦੇਗਈ॥
ਇਕ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਲ ਕੁੰਕਮ ਦੇਈ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ
ਦੇਘਨਸਾਰਦੂਜਦਿਸਿਭਈ॥੧੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਘਨਸਾਰ ਦੇਈ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਚਲ ਪਈ ॥੧੫॥
And planned Kookum to raid from one side and ,Ghansaar from the other.(15)

ਕੁੰਕਮ ਦੇਈ ਅਤੇ ਘਨਸਾਰ ਦੇਈ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ।
They all agreed to the plan and all of them put the clothes of men.
ਦੁਹੂੰਓਰਠਾਢੀਭਈਜੁਧਕਰਨਕੇਭਾਇ॥੧੬॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਡਟ ਗਈਆਂ ॥੧੬॥
From one side Kookum started and from the other Ghansaar.(l6)
