ਮਾਨਹੁਰੰਕਨਵੌਨਿਧਿਪਾਈ॥੧੪॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਨੇ ਨੌਂ ਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੪॥
He pulled her towards him like a treasure coming into the hands of a pauper.(14)

ਮੀਤਅਲਿੰਗਨਆਸਨਚੁੰਬਨਕੀਨੇਅਨੇਕਤੇਕੌਨਗਨੈ॥
(ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਿਤਰ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲਿੰਗਨ, ਆਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਲਏ, (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕੌਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
He performed sex and had kisses in so many ways that no one could count.
ਮੁਸਕਾਤਲਜਾਤਕਛੂਲਲਤਾਸੁਬਿਲਾਸਲਸੈਪਿਯਸਾਥਤਨੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹਸਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿਲਾਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹੀ।
The woman, feeling shy but smiling, remained affixed to his body.
ਝਮਕੈਜਰਜੇਬਜਰਾਇਨਕੀਦਮਕੈਮਨੋਦਾਮਨਿਬੀਚਘਨੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਜ਼ਰੀਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੜਾਊ ਕਪੜੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਮਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਬਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚਮਕ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
Her embroidered clothes were shinning like lightening in the clouds.
ਲਖਿਨੈਕੁਪ੍ਰਭਾਸਜਨੀਸਭਹੀਇਹਭਾਤਿਰਹੀਅਤਿਰੀਸਿਮਨੈ॥੧੫॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਖੀਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੀਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੀਆਂ ॥੧੫॥
Beholding all this, all her friends got envious in their minds.(15)
ਕੰਚਨਸੇਤਨਹੈਰਮਨੀਯਦ੍ਰਿਗੰਚਲਚੰਚਲਹੈਅਨਿਯਾਰੇ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਚਲ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਲਕਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਿਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
Their bodies sparkled like gold and their coquettish eyes were as sharp as arrows.
ਖੰਜਨਸੇਮਨਰੰਜਨਰਾਜਤਕੰਜਨਸੇਅਤਿਹੀਕਜਰਾਰੇ॥
(ਉਹ) ਮਮੋਲਿਆਂ ('ਖੰਜਨ') ਵਾਂਗ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ (ਉਹ) ਕਜਲਾਖੇ ਕੌਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਨ।
They were looking as the epitome ofthe pied-wagtail and cuckoo birds.
ਰੀਝਤਦੇਵਅਦੇਵਲਖੇਛਬਿਮੈਨਮਨੋਦੋਊਸਾਚਨਢਾਰੇ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਢਾਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
Even god and devils got satiated and they looked as if the Cupid had cast them in a mould.
ਜੋਬਨਜੇਬਜਗੇਅਤਿਹੀਸੁਭਬਾਲਬਨੇਦ੍ਰਿਗਲਾਲਤਿਹਾਰੇ॥੧੬॥
ਹੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਨੈਣ ਜੋਬਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲਾਲ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੬॥
‘Oh, My Love, under .the prime of youth, your two eyes are the embodiment of red-rubies.’(16)

ਪ੍ਰੀਤਦੁਹਾਨਕੀਅਤਿਬਢੀਤ੍ਰੀਯਪਿਯਾਕੇਮਾਹਿ॥
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧ ਗਈ।
Their love reached the extremes and she felt as if she was amalgamated with the lover.
ਪਟਛੂਟ੍ਯੋਨਿਰਪਟਭਏਰਹਿਯੋਕਪਟਕਛੁਨਾਹਿ॥੧੭॥
ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਉਤਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ (ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਕਪੜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਪਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਦੋਵੇਂ ਭਾਵ-ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ) ॥੧੭॥
They both got rid of their aprons and remained there with no secret in between.(17)
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਆਸਨਕਰੈਤਰੁਨਤਰੁਨਿਲਪਟਾਇ॥
ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਆਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿਕਾ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਪਟਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
Cuddling and cuddling each other they indulged in taking various position,
ਮੋਦਦੁਹਨਕੋਅਤਿਬਢ੍ਯੋਗਨਨਾਗਨੀਨਜਾਇ॥੧੮॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਇਤਨਾ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੮॥
And the urge achieved the extremes and they lost the counts.(18)

ਚਿਮਟਿਚਿਮਟਿਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਲਕਮਾਵੈ॥
ਲਿਪਟ ਲਿਪਟ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਤੀ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਲਪਟਿਲਪਟਿਤਰੁਨੀਸੁਖੁਪਾਵੈ॥
(ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਲਿਪਟ ਲਿਪਟ ਕੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Embracing and snuggling the Raja was enjoying the love-making,
ਬਹਸਿਬਹਸਿਆਲਿੰਗਨਕਰਹੀ॥
ਹੱਸ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਆਲਿੰਗਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ
And, by squeezing and clasping the woman, he was feeling blissful.
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਸੌਬਚਨਉਚਰੀ॥੧੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੯॥
Laughing and smiling she made love and expressed loudly her contentment.(19)

(ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਆਸਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
Adopting different postures she took positions and experienced alleviations.
ਲਪਟਿਲਪਟਿਸੁੰਦਰਰਮੈਚਿਮਟਿਚਿਮਟਿਤ੍ਰਿਯਜਾਇ॥੨੦॥
(ਉਹ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਿਪਟ ਲਿਪਟ ਕੇ ਰਮਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਚਿਮਟ ਚਿਮਟ ਕੇ (ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੨੦॥
Embracing and cuddling they indulged ravishingly and the woman felt fulfilment by nuzzling.(20)

ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਕੇਅਮਲਮੰਗਾਏ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮੰਗਵਾਏ
ਬਿਬਿਧਬਿਧਨਪਕਵਾਨਪਕਾਏ॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਕਵਾਨ ਪਕਵਾਏ।
They acquired various intoxicants and arranged many viands.
ਦਾਰੂਪੋਸਤਔਰਧਤੂਰੋ॥
ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, ਪੋਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਧਤੂਰਾ (ਮੰਗਵਾਇਆ)।
ਪਾਨਡਰਾਇਕਸੁੰਭੜੋਰੂਰੋ॥੨੧॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਸੁੰਭੜੇ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ॥੨੧॥
Also obtained wine, marijuana and weeds and chewed beetle-nuts laden with safflowers.(21)

ਅਫ਼ੀਮ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਗ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ
After taking very strong opium and cannabis,
ਚਤੁਰਪਹਰਭੋਗਿਯੋਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿਤਉਨਮੁਚਿਯੋਅਨੰਗ॥੨੨॥
ਚਾਰ ਪਹਿਰ ਤਕ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਮਣ ਕੀਤਾ, ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਵੀਰਜ ਖ਼ਲਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੨੨॥
They made love during all the four watches bUt never felt satiated,(22)
ਤਰੁਨਤਰੁਨਤਰੁਨੀਤਰੁਨਿਤਰੁਨਚੰਦ੍ਰਕੀਜੌਨ॥
ਮਰਦ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਵੀ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦਨੀ ਵੀ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੈ।
As both, the man and the women, were at the prime of youth and the Moon was in full swings too.
ਕੇਲਕਰੈਬਿਹਸੈਦੋਊਹਾਰਿਹਟੈਸੋਕੌਨ॥੨੩॥
ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਹੜਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਹਟ ਜਾਏ ॥੨੩॥
They made love with gratification and none would accept the defeat.(23)
ਚਤੁਰਪੁਰਖਚਤੁਰਾਚਤੁਰਤਰੁਨਤਰੁਨਿਕੌਪਾਇ॥
ਚਤੁਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਚਤੁਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੈ, ਜਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਜਵਾਨ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ
The wise man always seeks and gets a wise and young woman,
ਬਿਹਸਬਿਹਸਲਾਵੈਗਰੇਛਿਨਕਿਨਛੋਰਿਯੋਜਾਇ॥੨੪॥
ਹੱਸ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਗਲੇ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਛਡਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨੪॥
And happily and cheerfully clUtches her and leaves her not.(24)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਜੋਚਤੁਰਾਚਤੁਰਾਕੌਪਾਵੈ॥
ਜੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਚਤੁਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਬਹੂੰਨਛਿਨਚਿਤਤੇਬਿਸਰਾਵੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਸਾਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
When a clever one meets a smart one, one does not wish to forsake the other.
ਜੜਕੁਰੂਪਕੌਚਿਤਹਿਨਧਰੈ॥
ਮੂਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਧਰਦਾ।
ਮਨਕ੍ਰਮਬਚਤਾਹੀਤੌਬਰੈ॥੨੫॥
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕਰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸੇ (ਚਤੁਰ) ਨੂੰ ਵਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੫॥
The diverse ones, he considers imprudent and ugly in his heart and keeps his mind and words to marry the first one.(25)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥

ਚੰਦਨਕੀਚੌਕੀਭਲੀਕਾਸਟਦ੍ਰੁਮਕਿਹਕਾਜ॥
ਚੰਦਨ (ਦੀ ਲਕੜੀ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਇਕ) ਚੌਕੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਲਕੜ ਦਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਕਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
Sandal-woods stool is better but what use is the huge piece of wood.
ਚਤੁਰਾਕੋਨੀਕੋਚਿਤ੍ਰਯੋਕਹਾਮੂੜਕੋਰਾਜ॥੨੬॥
ਚਤੁਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਤੇ) ਮੂਰਖ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਕਿਸ ਕੰਮ ॥੨੬॥
A wise woman longs for a perceptive man, but what will she do with a fool?(26)
ਸੋਰਠਾ॥
ਸੋਰਠਾ:

ਤਰੁਨਿਪਤਰਿਯਾਨੀਕਚਪਲਚੀਤਿਭੀਤਰਚੁਭਿਯੋ॥
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪਤਲੀ, ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਚਲ ਸੀ ਜੋ (ਮਿਤਰ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਖੁਭ ਗਈ।
The young husband is kind and he makes his home in her heart.
ਅਧਿਕਪਿਯਰਵਾਮੀਤਕਬਹੂੰਨਬਿਸਰਤਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਤੇ॥੨੭॥
ਅਧਿਕ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮਿਤਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਸਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨੭॥
He endows her lot of love and is never disregarded.(27)
