ਮਾਤਕੀਬਾਤਨਮਾਨੀਕਛੂਤਜਿਰੋਵਤਹੀਰਨਿਵਾਸਹਿਆਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਮਾਤਾ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੀ (ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਰੋਂਦਿਆਂ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਰਣਵਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ।
He did not agree to his mother, and, leaving her in distress, he came to the palace of Rani.
ਆਵਤਹੀਦਿਜਲੋਗਬੁਲਾਇਜਿਤੋਧਨਹੋਘਰਮੋਸੁਲੁਟਾਯੋ॥
ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਧਨ ਸੀ, ਸਭ ਲੁਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Immediately he called Brahmins, the priests, and whatever wealth there was in the house, he distributed.
ਸੰਗਲਏਬਨਿਤਾਅਪੁਨੀਬਨਿਕੈਜੁਗਿਯਾਬਨਓਰਸਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਬਨ ਵਲ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ।
He took his wife with him, became yogi and travelled towards the jungle.
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਕੈਦੇਸਭਯੇਅਥਿਤੇਸਭਜੌਜਗਤੇਸਯਹੇਠਹਰਾਯੋ॥੭੮॥
ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ॥੭੮॥
After renouncing the country, he became a mendicant and determined to get into ruminations.(78)

ਲਾਬੀਲਾਬੀਸਾਲਜਹਾਊਚੇਬਟਤਾਲਤਹਾਐਸੀਠੌਰਤਪਕੋਪਧਾਰੈਐਸੋਕੌਨਹੈ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਸਨ, ਉਥੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਕੰਢਿਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਤਾਲਾਬ ਸਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਤਪ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਧਾਰਿਆ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?
The laudability of this jungle makes (god) Indra’s garden Who is there, who could meditate quietly in such a jungle,
ਜਾਕੀਪ੍ਰਭਾਦੇਖਿਪ੍ਰਭਾਖਾਡਵਕੀਫੀਕੀਲਾਗੈਨੰਦਨਨਿਹਾਰਿਬਨਐਸੋਭਜੈਮੌਨਹੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ('ਖਾਂਡਵ') ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਫਿਕੀ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ। (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਨੰਦਨ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੁਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Which is abounded (with trees) like the stars in the sky?
ਤਾਰਨਕੀਕਹਾਨੈਕੁਨਭਨਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋਜਾਇਸੂਰਜਕੀਜੋਤਿਤਹਾਚੰਦ੍ਰਕੀਨਜੌਨਹੈ॥
ਉਥੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਬਸਾਤ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਥੇ ਨਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦਨੀ (ਦਿਸਦੀ ਹੈ)।
Neither there could come the Sunrays, nor the Moonlight enters Neither there were the gods visible, nor were seen the demons.
ਦੇਵਨਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋਦੈਤਕੋਊਨਬਿਹਾਰਿਯੋਜਹਾਪੰਛੀਕੀਨਗੰਮ੍ਰਯਤਹਾਚੀਟੀਕੋਨਗੌਨਹੈ॥੭੯॥
ਉਥੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੈਂਤ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਥੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੰਛੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੀੜੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੭੯॥
Neither it was approachable to the birds, nor the insects could trod in.(79)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਜਬਐਸੇਬਨਮੈਦੋਊਗਏ॥
ਜਦ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ,
ਹੇਰਤਤਵਨਮਹਲਕੋਭਏ॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਥੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
When they reached such a jungle, they saw a palace like house.
ਤੁਰਤੁਤਾਹਿਨ੍ਰਿਪਬਚਨਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਤੁਰਤ ਉਥੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ
ਤਪਕੋਭਲੇਠੌਰਹਮਪਾਯੋ॥੮੦॥
ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਤਪ ਲਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੮੦॥
The Raja declared that he had found a place for meditation.(80)
ਰਾਨੀਬਾਚ॥
ਰਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:
Rani’s Talk
ਯਾਮੈਬੈਠਿਤਪਸ੍ਯਾਕਰਿਹੈ॥
ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ
ਰਾਮਰਾਮਮੁਖਤੇਉਚਰਿਹੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ 'ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ' ਉਚਾਰਾਂਗੇ।
Here I will meditate by reciting the name of Rama.
ਯਾਘਰਮੈਦਿਨਕਿਤਕਬਿਤੈਹੈ॥
ਇਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ
ਭਸਮੀਭੂਤਪਾਪਸਭਕੈਹੈ॥੮੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਸਮੀਭੂਤ (ਸਾੜ ਕੇ ਭਸਮ) ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ ॥੮੧॥
We will spend a lot of time in this house anderadicate our sins.(81)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥
ਦੋਹਰਾ:

ਰਾਨੀਜਾਹਿਬੁਲਾਇਕੈਭੇਦਕਹਿਯੋਸਮਝਾਇ॥
ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ (ਵਿਅਕਤੀ) ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਭੇਦ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਦਸੀ ਸੀ,
The Rani had called some body and made him to discern (the secret).
ਵਹੈਪੁਰਖਜੁਗਿਯਾਬਨ੍ਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿਮਿਲਤਭਯੋਆਇ॥੮੨॥
ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਿਆ ॥੮੨॥
Then that man in Yogi’s attire appeared to meet the Raja.(82)
ਚੌਪਈ॥
ਚੌਪਈ:

ਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੋਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿਕਹਿਯੋਸਮੁਝਾਈ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਸਮਝਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ
ਜੋਗੀਵਹੈਪਹੂੰਚ੍ਯੋਆਈ॥
ਕਿ ਉਹੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਹੈ।
She told the Raja that the some yogi had come.
ਮਰਤਬਚਨਮੋਸੋਤਿਨਕਹਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ ਸਨ,
ਸੋਮੈਆਜੁਸਾਚੁਕਰਿਲਹਿਯੋ॥੮੩॥
ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਅਜ ਸਚ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ॥੮੩॥
Whatever he (Yogi) had told me at the time of his death, is becoming true. (83)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥
ਦੋਹਰਾ:

ਉਠਿਰਾਜਾਪਾਇਨਪਰਿਯੋਤਾਕਹਗੁਰੂਪਛਾਨਿ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪਿਆ।
Raja, believing him to be his Guru, bowed on his feet.
ਬੈਠਿਗੋਸਟਿਦੋਨੋਕਰੀਸੋਮੈਕਹਤਬਖਾਨਿ॥੮੪॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ (ਜੋ) ਗੋਸਟਿ ਕੀਤੀ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਖਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੮੪॥
What discourse he delivered, I (the narrator) am going to relate it now.(84)
ਜੋਗੀਬਾਚ॥
ਜੋਗੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:
Yogi’s Talk
ਨ੍ਰਹਾਇਨਦੀਸੋਜੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਬੈਠਹੁਗੇਹ੍ਯਾਂਆਇ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਜਦੋਂ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਨਦੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਥੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੋਗੇ,
‘After ablution in the rivulet, when you sit here,
ਤਬਤੁਮਸੈਮੈਭਾਖਿਹੋਬ੍ਰਹਮਬਾਦਿਸਮੁਝਾਇ॥੮੫॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਵਾਦ ਦੀ (ਗੱਲ) ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਮਝਾਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੮੫॥
‘I will convey you the essence of the Godly knowledge.’(85)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਐਸੇਜਤਨਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਕੋਟਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਅਜਿਹੇ ਯਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਥੋਂ ਟਾਲਿਆ
ਛਾਤਬਿਖੈਇਕਨਰਪੈਠਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਛਤ ਉਤੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Thus she made the Raja to go away from the place, and assigned another person to sit on the roof-top.
ਸਾਧੁਸਾਧੁਇਹਬਚਸੁਨਿਕਹਿਯਹੁ॥
(ਇਹ ਵੀ) ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ 'ਸਾਧੁ, ਸਾਧੁ' (ਸਤਿ, ਸਤਿ)
ਤੀਨਬਾਰਕਹਿਕੈਚੁਪਰਹਿਯਹੁ॥੮੬॥
ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਜਾਣਾ ॥੮੬॥
Saying three times, ‘listen to the Saint’s words,’ then kept quiet.(86)
ਨ੍ਰਹਾਇਧੋਇਰਾਜਾਜਬਆਯੋ॥
ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਇਆ
ਤਬਤਿਹਨਰਯੌਬਚਨਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਉਸ (ਜੋਗੀ ਬਣੇ) ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
When Raja came back after bathing then he uttered the words,
ਸੁਨੁਨ੍ਰਿਪਜਬਮਾਟੀਮੈਲਈ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮਿੱਟੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਈ
ਧਰਮਰਾਜਆਗ੍ਯਾਮੁਹਿਦਈ॥੮੭॥
ਤਾਂ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੮੭॥
‘Listen, when I had died, it was done with the consent of the Lord of Righteousness.’(87)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥

ਤੈਰਾਜਾਕੋਤੀਰਤਜਿਕ੍ਯੋਨਆਯੋਇਹਠੌਰ॥
ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ?
(The Voice)’Why have you come here after deserting the Raj, the reigning?’
ਮੋਸੌਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਬਖਾਨਿਯੈਸੁਨੁਜੋਗਿਨਸਿਰਮੌਰ॥੮੮॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਅਗੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ-) ਹੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਤਾਜ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਦਸੋ ॥੮੮॥
(The Raja )’Oh the Supreme Yogi, please narrate to me the whole story.’(88)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਧਰਮਰਾਜਮੁਹਿਬਚਨਉਚਾਰੇ॥
(ਜੋਗੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ ਸਨ,
(The Voice) ‘What the Lord of Righteousness had expressed to me,
ਸੁਹੌਕਹਤਹੌਤੀਰਤਿਹਾਰੇ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Now I am going to tell you.
ਮੋਰੀਕਹੀਰਾਵਸੌਕਹਿਯਹੁ॥
(ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ) ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ,
‘He had asked me to make you to abide by this,
ਨਾਤਰਭ੍ਰਮਤਨਰਕਮਹਿਰਹਿਯਹੁ॥੮੯॥
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ (ਤੂੰ) ਨਰਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਰਮਦਾ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ ॥੮੯॥
Failing which, you will keeping on roaming around in the hell.(89)
ਜੈਸੋਕੋਟਿਜਗ੍ਯਤਪੁਕੀਨੋ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਯੱਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ (ਫਲ ਹੈ)
‘Like the benefit of the meditation of thousands of years
ਤੈਸੋਸਾਚਨ੍ਯਾਇਕਰਿਦੀਨੋ॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਚਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ (ਫਲ ਹੈ)।
You must indulge in the Justice.
ਨ੍ਯਾਇਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਲੈਰਾਜਕਮਾਵੈ॥
(ਜੋ) ਨਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
‘One who does justice according to the righteousness of Shastras,
ਤਾਕੇਨਿਕਟਕਾਲਨਹੀਆਵੈ॥੯੦॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਕਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੯੦॥
‘The god of destruction does not come near him.(90)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥
ਦੋਹਰਾ:

ਜੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਨ੍ਯਾਇਕਰੈਨਹੀਬੋਲਤਝੂਠਬਨਾਇ॥
ਜੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
‘The Raja who does not execute justice and depends on falsehood,
ਰਾਜਤ੍ਯਾਗਤਪਸ੍ਯਾਕਰੈਪਰੈਨਰਕਮਹਿਜਾਇ॥੯੧॥
ਰਾਜ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਹ) ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੧॥
‘And, after forsaking governance, goes to meditate, he is destined for hell.(91)
ਬ੍ਰਿਧਮਾਤਾਅਰੁਤਾਤਕੀਸੇਵਾਕਰਿਯੋਨਿਤ॥
ਬਿਰਧ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ
‘He should have served his aging mother,
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਨਬਨਕੋਜਾਇਯੈਯਹੈਧਰਮੁਸੁਨੁਮਿਤ॥੯੨॥
ਅਤੇ (ਰਾਜ ਪਾਠ) ਛਡ ਕੇ ਬਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ। ਹੇ ਮਿਤਰ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਇਹੀ ਧਰਮ (ਕਾਰਜ) ਹੈ ॥੯੨॥
‘Had listened to the righteousness and not gone to the jungle.(92)
ਜੌਹੌਜੋਗੀਵਹੈਹੌਪਠੈਦਯੋਧ੍ਰਮਰਾਇ॥
ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ,
‘I am the same yogi, whom the Lord of Righteousness had sent.’
ਹੌਂਈਹਾਬੋਲੈਤੁਰਤੁਅਪਨੋਰੂਪਛਪਾਇ॥੯੩॥
ਤਾਂ ਤੁਰਤ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੂਪ ਛੁਪਾ ਕੇ ਇਥੇ ਬੋਲੇ ॥੯੩॥
Thus had spoken the one who had been hiding (behind the cove).(93)
ਜਬਜੋਗੀਐਸੇਕਹਿਯੋਤਾਹਿਭੇਦਸਮੁਝਾਇ॥
ਜਦ ਜੋਗੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਭੇਦ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਸੀ,
When the yogi had made the Raja to understand his explication,
ਸਤਿਸਤਿਤਬਤਿਨਕਹਿਯੋਤੀਨਬਾਰਮੁਸਕਾਇ॥੯੪॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਸਕਰਾ ਕੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ 'ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ' ਕਿਹਾ ॥੯੪॥
He smiled and repeated three times, ‘it is true.’(94)
ਜਿਯਬੋਜਗਕੌਸਹਲਹੈਯਹੈਕਠਿਨਦ੍ਵੈਕਾਮ॥
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਉਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਠਿਨ ਹਨ
(And he continued) ‘It is easy to live in this world,
ਪ੍ਰਾਤਸੰਭਰਿਬੋਰਾਜਕੋਰਾਤਿਸੰਭਰਿਬੋਰਾਮ॥੯੫॥
ਕਿ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਏ ॥੯੫॥
‘But, to run the reign during day and meditate at night, both are not two tiresome duties.’(95)

ਮਹਾਰਾਜਜੈਸੀਸੁਨਿਬਾਨੀ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ,
ਚਿਤਕੈਬਿਖੈਸਾਚਕਰਿਮਾਨੀ॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਈ
Listening to such pontificating, the Raja deemed it true in his heart.
ਦਿਨਕੌਰਾਜੁਆਪਨੌਕਰਿਹੌ॥
ਕਿ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ
(He determined) ‘I will rule over the country during day and, at night,
ਪਰੇਰਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੇਰਾਮਸੰਭਰਿਹੌ॥੯੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਰਾਮ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ॥੯੬॥
I will delve in meditations too.’(96)
ਰਾਨੀਮਹਾਰਾਜਸਮਝਾਇਸਿ॥
ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ
Thus Rani prevailed cognisance on the Raja.
