ਬਾਲਕਬਾਰਤਜੇਬਰਨਾਰਿਤਜੋਅਸੁਰਾਰਿਯਹੈਠਹਰਾਈ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਬਾਲ, ਬਾਲਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਛਡਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਛਡਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹੀ (ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਨਿਸਚਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
‘I am leaving the boys, the girls and the wife along with all their skirmishes.
ਜਾਇਬਸੋਬਨਮੈਸੁਖੁਸੋਸੁਨੁਸੁੰਦਰਿਆਜੁਇਹੈਮਨਭਾਈ॥੬੭॥
ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਵਸਾਂਗਾ। ਅਜ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗੀ ਹੈ ॥੬੭॥
‘Listen, the pretty lady, I will go and dwell in the jungle, and attain the bliss, and this I like it very much.’(67)

ਜੋਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਪਤਿਛਾਡਿਕੈਬਸਤਧਾਮਕੇਮਾਹਿ॥
(ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਜੋ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
The wife, who renounces her husband and remains at home,
ਤਿਨਕੋਆਗੇਸ੍ਵਰਗਕੇਭੀਤਰਿਪੈਠਬਨਾਹਿ॥੬੮॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਗੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਣਾ ਨਸੀਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥੬੮॥
She gets no reception in the heaven hereafter.(68)

ਬਾਲਕਨਬੋਰੌਰਾਜਇੰਦ੍ਰਹੂੰਕੋਛੋਰੌਔਰਭੂਖਨਨਤੋਰੋਕਠਿਨਾਈਐਸੀਝਲਿਹੌਂ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੋਬ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ, ਇੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਠਿਨਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਲ ਲਵਾਂਗੀ।
‘I will forsake the children and cast off (god) Indra’s Domain. ‘I will break all my ornaments, and get ready to face all sorts of inconveniences.
ਪਾਤਫਲਖੈਹੌਸਿੰਘਸਾਪਤੇਡਰੈਹੌਨਾਹਿਬਿਨਾਪ੍ਰਾਨਪ੍ਯਾਰੇਕੇਹਿਮਾਚਲਮੈਗਲਿਹੌਂ॥
ਪੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਫਲ ਖਾ ਲਵਾਂਗੀ, ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹਿਮਾਲਾ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿਚ ਗਲ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।
‘I will live on leaves and wild fruits, and fight with the reptiles and the lions.
ਜੌਨਹੌਸੁਹੈਹੌਮੁਖਦੇਖੌਪਾਛੇਚਲੀਜੈਹੌਨਾਤੌਬਿਰਹਾਗਨਿਕੀਆਗਿਬੀਚਬਲਿਹੌਂ॥
ਜੋ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਹੋਵੇ (ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ) ਮੁਖ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਪਿਛੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ (ਤੁਹਾਡੇ) ਵਿਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜ ਮਰਾਂਗੀ।
‘And without my beloved master, I will rot in Himalayan colds. ‘Come what may be, but, imbued in your vision, I will follow you.
ਕੌਨਕਾਜਰਾਜਹੂੰਕੋਸਾਜਮਹਾਰਾਜਬਿਨਨਾਥਜੂਤਿਹਾਰੋਰਹੇਰਹੌਂਚਲੇਚਲਿਹੌਂ॥੬੯॥
ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! (ਤੁਹਾਡੇ) ਬਿਨਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਮਾਜ ਕਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਥ! (ਜੇ) ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਹੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਰਹਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਲੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਚਲਾਂਗੀ ॥੬੯॥
‘Failing which I will scorch myself in the fire of isolation. ‘Oh, my master, without you what good is this reign. ‘If, My Master, you go, I will depart to.(69)

ਦੇਸਤਜੋਕਰਿਭੇਸਤਪੋਧਨਕੇਸਮਰੋਰਿਜਟਾਨਿਸਵਾਰੌਂ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਦੇਸ ਛਡ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਪਸਵੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੇਸ ਬਣਾ ਲਵਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰੋੜ ਕੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਲਵਾਂਗੀ।
‘I will relinquish my country, and, with mated hair, become a yogin (female ascetic).
ਲੇਸਕਰੌਨਕਛੂਧਨਕੌਪ੍ਰਭਕੀਪਨਿਯਾਪਰਹ੍ਵੈਤਨਵਾਰੌਂ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਧਨ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਮੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੁਤੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਵਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ।
‘I have no monetary affections and would sacrifice my life on for the sake of your shoes.
ਬਾਲਕਕ੍ਰੋਰਿਕਰੌਇਕਓਰਸੁਬਸਤ੍ਰਨਛੋਰਿਕੈਰਾਮਸੰਭਾਰੌਂ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ।
‘Renouncing all my children and the fancy living, I will put my mind in the meditation of God.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਕੋਰਾਜਨਹੀਮੁਹਿਕਾਜਬਿਨਾਮਹਾਰਾਜਸਭੈਘਰਜਾਰੌਂ॥੭੦॥
ਇੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। (ਮੈਂ) ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰ ਫੂਕ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ ॥੭੦॥
‘I have nothing to do, even, with god Indra and, without my lord, ‘I will put my dwellings on fire.(70)
ਅੰਗਨਮੈਸਜਿਹੌਭਗਵੈਪਟਹਾਥਬਿਖੈਚਿਪਿਯਾਗਹਿਲੈਹੌਂ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਭਗਵੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਖੱਪਰ ਫੜ ਲਵਾਂਗੀ।
‘Adoring the saffron clothes (of an ascetic), I will take a beggingbowl in my hands.
ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਨਕਾਨਧਰੈਅਪਨੇਤਵਮੂਰਤਿਭਿਛਹਿਮਾਗਿਅਘੈਹੌਂ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਿਖਿਆ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।
‘With (yogic) ear-rings, I will be contended with begging for your sake.
ਨਾਥਚਲੌਤੁਮਠੌਰਜਹਾਹਮਹੂੰਤਿਹਠੌਰਬਿਖੈਚਲਿਜੈਹੋ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਥ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।
‘Now I stress it to you that I will never remain in the house and,
ਧਾਮਰਹੋਨਹਿਬਾਤਕਹੋਪਟਫਾਰਿਸਭੈਅਬਜੋਗਿਨਹ੍ਵੈਹੌਂ॥੭੧॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਾਂਗੀ। (ਇਕ) ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, (ਮੈਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਫਾੜ ਕੇ ਜੋਗਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ॥੭੧॥
Tearing off my clothes, will become a yogin.’(71)
ਰਾਜਾਬਾਚੁ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਰਾਨੀਕੋਰੂਪਨਿਹਾਰਿਮਹੀਪਤਿਸੋਚਬਿਚਾਰਕਰਿਯੋਚਿਤਮਾਹੀ॥
ਰਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਗਾ।
Watching the Rani in such a state, the Raja deliberated and said,
ਰਾਜਕਰੋਸੁਖਸੋਸੁਨਿਸੁੰਦਰਿਤੋਹਿਤਜੇਲਰਕਾਮਰਿਜਾਹੀ॥
ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ! ਸੁਣ, ਤੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਰਾਜ ਕਰ। ਤੇਰੇ (ਘਰ) ਛਡਣ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਕਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
‘You rule over with bliss. Without you all the children will die.’
ਸੋਨਮਿਟੈਨਹਟੈਬਨਤੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਝਾਰਿਪਛੋਰਿਭਲੇਅਵਗਾਹੀ॥
ਪਰ (ਭਾਵੀ) ਮਿਟਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ; (ਰਾਣੀ) ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣੋ ਹਟਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝਾੜ ਕੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਟਿਆ।
The Raja tried to entice her but she did not concede.
ਮਾਤਪਰੀਬਿਲਲਾਤਧਰਾਪਰਨਾਰਿਹਠੀਹਠਛਾਡਤਨਾਹੀ॥੭੨॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਵਿਲਕਦੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਹਠੀ ਨਾਰ ਹਠ ਨੂੰ ਛਡਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੭੨॥
The Raja thought) ‘On one side the mother earth is becoming desperate but the stubborn lady is not surrendering.’(72)
ਅੜਿਲ॥

ਜਬਰਾਨੀਨ੍ਰਿਪਲਖੀਸਤਿਜੋਗਿਨਿਭਈ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਚਮੁਚ ਜੋਗਣ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
When the Raja found that Rani had really become a yogin,
ਛੋਰਿਨਚਲਿਯੋਧਾਮਸੰਗਅਪੁਨੇਲਈ॥
ਤਾਂ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਛਡਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
He decided to leave the home along with her.
ਧਾਰਿਜੋਗਕੋਭੇਸਮਾਤਪਹਿਆਇਯੋ॥
(ਉਹ) ਜੋਗੀ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।
In ascetic’s garb he came to see his mother.
ਹੋਭੇਸਜੋਗਨ੍ਰਿਪਹੇਰਿਸਭਨਦੁਖਪਾਇਯੋ॥੭੩॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੇਸ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੭੩॥
Everybody was astonished to see him dressed as a yogi.(73)

(ਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ!) ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਾ ਕਰੋ (ਤਾਂ ਜੋ) ਬਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਸਕਾਂ
‘Please bid me farewell, to enable me to go to the jungle,
ਬੇਦਬਿਧਾਨਨਧ੍ਯਾਇਹੌਜੌਭਵਕੇਭਗਵਾਨ॥੭੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਸੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਅਰਾਧਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ ॥੭੪॥
‘And, contemplating on the Vedas, meditate on the Lord God,’

ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! (ਮੈਂ) ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਵਾਂ, ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਰਹਿ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰ।
‘Oh, my son, the dispenser of comforts, I am sacrifice to You
ਤੁਹਿਕ੍ਯੋਕਰਿਜਾਨਕਹੋਮੁਖਤੇਅਤਿਹੀਦੁਖਲਾਗਤਹੈਮਨਕੌ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਹਾਂ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
‘How can I ask you to go, it puts me in tremendous adversity.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹਤੇਤੁਹਿਕਾਢਿਇਤੋਸੁਖਛਾਡਿਕਹਾਕਹਿਹੌਇਨਲੋਗਨਕੌ॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ ਕਢ ਕੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਹਾਂਗੀ।
‘When you go away, what would I tell the entire Subject.
ਸੁਨੁਸਾਚੁਸਪੂਤਕਹੋਮੁਖਤੇਤੁਹਿਕੈਸੇਕੈਦੇਉਬਿਦਾਬਨਕੌ॥੭੫॥
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਸਚ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਨ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਾਇਗੀ ਦਿਆਂ ॥੭੫॥
‘Tell me son, how can I bid you farewell to leave.(75)

ਮੇਰੇਕਹਿਯੋਮੰਤ੍ਰਬੀਚਾਰੋ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਮੰਨ ਲੈ।
‘Yielding to my request, don’t go to jungle.
ਲੋਗਨਕੇਕਹਿਬੋਅਨੁਸਰਿਯੈ॥
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚਲ
ਰਾਜਜੋਗਘਰਿਹੀਮਹਿਕਰਿਯੈ॥੭੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਾਜ-ਜੋਗ ਮਾਣ ॥੭੬॥
‘Listen to the people and try to attain yogic domain at home.’(76)

Raja had bowed his head before his mother and said,
ਊਚਨੀਚਰਾਜਾਪ੍ਰਜਾਜੈਹੈਜਮਕੇਐਨ॥੭੭॥
ਕਿ ਉੱਚੇ ਨੀਵੇਂ, ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਯਮ-ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਗੇ ॥੭੭॥
‘The high and the low, and those above the subject, will all go to the domain of death.’(77)
