ਬਹੁਰਿਆਪਨੇਧਾਮਨਜੈਹੈ॥
ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
‘Any woman who will see him, she will not be able to retain her senses,
ਤਾਹੀਪੈਆਸਿਕਹ੍ਵੈਰਹਿਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਆਸ਼ਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
ਰਾਮਨਾਮਕੋਜ੍ਯੋਂਨਿਤਕਹਿਹੈ॥੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
‘And the way she recalled Sri Ram, she will recollect your son.(9)

ਤਵਸੁਤਕੋਜੋਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਨੈਕੁਨਿਹਰਿਹੈਨਿਤ॥
ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਕੋਈ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਵੀ ਵੇਖੇਗੀ,
‘Any woman, who will come across your son, may be even very little,
ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਘਵਕੇਨਾਮਜ੍ਯੋਂਸਦਾਸੰਭਰਿਹੈਚਿਤ॥੧੦॥
ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਾਂਗ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਯਾਦ ਰਖੇਗੀ ॥੧੦॥
‘Like Sri Raghav Ram, she will cherish him for ever.’(10)

ਜਬਰਾਨੀਐਸੇਸੁਨੁਪਾਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ
ਬੋਲਿਸਾਹੁਕੋਧਾਮਪਠਾਯੋ॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
When the Rani had pondered over this, she called the Shah to her house.
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਆਸਨਤਿਹਦੀਨੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਆਸਣ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਉਰਅਪਨੇਤੇਜੁਦਾਨਕੀਨੋ॥੧੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਖ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੧੧॥
She provided him varied postures and did not let him go away. (11)
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥

ਤਬਲਗਰਾਜਾਤੁਰਤਹੀਧਾਮਗਯੋਤਿਹਆਇ॥
ਤਦ ਤਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
Then suddenly Raja came to that place.
ਚਾਰਿਮਮਟਿਯਹਿਤਹਦਯੋਸੋਕਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਉਪਜਾਇ॥੧੨॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਮਟੀ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੨॥
With afflicted heart, she pushed him up the tower.(12)
ਦੋਸੈਗਜਦੋਬੈਰਕੈਲੀਨੀਸਾਹੁਮੰਗਾਇ॥
ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਸੌ ਗਜ਼ ਦੇ (ਬਾਂਸ ਦੇ) ਦੋ ਝੰਡੇ ਮੰਗਾ ਲਏ।
The Shah, then, collected two bamboo sticks of two hundred yards each
ਬਡੀਧੁਜਨਸੌਬਾਧਿਕੈਬਾਧੀਭੁਜਨਬਨਾਇ॥੧੩॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਧੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ (ਆਪਣੀਆਂ) ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੩॥
And through very large buntings, he tied up his arms with them.(l3)
ਰੂੰਈਮਨਿਕੁਮੰਗਾਇਕੈਅੰਗਲਈਲਪਟਾਇ॥
ਮਣ ਕੁ ਰੂੰ ਮੰਗਵਾ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਲਪੇਟ ਲਿਆ
He asked for one quintal of cotton and woofs and wrapped them around him.
ਬਾਧਿਘੋਘਰੋਪਵਨਲਖਿਕੂਦਤਭਯੋਰਿਸਾਇ॥੧੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਘੋਘਰੇ (ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਚੰਮ ਦਾ ਥੈਲਾ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਦਾ ਰੁਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਦ ਪਿਆ ॥੧੪॥
When there came the fast wind, he pushed himself (over the rivulet)(I4)

ਜ੍ਯੋਂਜ੍ਯੋਂਪਵਨਝਲਾਤੋਆਵੈ॥
ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਹਵਾ ਦਾ ਝੌਂਕਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ,
ਧੀਮੈਧੀਮੈਤਰਕਹਜਾਵੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ (ਹੇਠਾਂ ਵਲ) ਖਿਸਕਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
As the wind blew, he had, very slowly, slipped away.
ਦੁਹੂੰਬੈਰਕਨਸਾਹੁਉਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਝੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾਇਆ
ਗਹਿਰੀਨਦੀਬਿਖੈਲੈਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਨਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆ ਸੁਟਿਆ ॥੧੫॥
With the help of two bamboos, he was blown to the deep rivulet.(15)
ਘੋਘਰਨਜੋਰਨਦੀਨਰਤਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਉਹ) ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਘੋਘਰਿਆਂ (ਤੂੰਬਿਆਂ) ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਦੀ ਤਰ ਗਿਆ
ਧੁਜਨਹੇਤਤਹਹੁਤੋਉਬਰਿਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਝੰਡਿਆਂ (ਬਾਂਸਾਂ) ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ।
With the help of woofs he swam over and using the bamboos, he crossed over.
ਰੂੰਈਤੇਕਛੁਚੋਟਨਲਾਗੀ॥
ਰੂੰ (ਨਾਲ ਲਿਪਟੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ) ਕੋਈ ਸਟ ਨਾ ਲਗੀ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਨਬਚਾਇਗਯੋਬਡਭਾਗੀ॥੧੬॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ) ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੬॥
In view of cotton around him he was not hurt and he was able to save his life.(16)

ਜਬਤਾਕੋਜੀਵਤਸੁਨ੍ਯੋਰਾਨੀਸ੍ਰਵਨਨਮਾਹਿ॥
ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ,
When Rani heard that he had escaped with his life,
ਯਾਦਿਨਸੋਸੁਖਜਗਤਮੈਕਹਿਯੋਕਹੂੰਕੋਊਨਾਹਿ॥੧੭॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ (ਉਸ ਲਈ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੁਖ ਵਾਲੀ (ਹੋਰ) ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ॥੧੭॥
There was no other news in the world which, could appease her more.(17)

ਕੂਦਿਸਾਹੁਜੋਪ੍ਰਾਨਬਚਾਯੋ॥
ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੁਦ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਬਚਾਏ ਸਨ,
ਤਿਨਰਾਜੈਕਛੁਭੇਦਨਪਾਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਭੇਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
By jumping in the rivulet, Shah saved himself and the Raja could not detect any thing.
ਤਬਰਾਨੀਧੀਰਜਮਨਭਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਰਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧੀਰਜ ਹੋਇਆ
ਚਿਤਜੁਹੁਤੋਸਕਲਭ੍ਰਮਗਯੋ॥੧੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਭਰਮ ਸੀ, (ਉਹ) ਸਾਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੮॥
Then Rani felt relieved and she thanked that the secret was not out.(180)(1)

ਬਜਵਾਰਾ (ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਨਗਰ) ਵਿਚ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਬਨੀਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
In the city of Bajwara, a Shah, named Kewal, used to live.
ਨਿਸੁਦਿਨੁਕਰੈਪਠਾਨਕੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੋਸਗਰੋਕਾਮ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਠਾਣ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੧॥
Day and night, he used to do all types of work in the house of a Pathan.(1)

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਹਪਵਤੀਤਾਕੋਜਗਚਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਪੁਹਪ ਵਤੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
A lady lived in his house, whose name was Pohap Wati.
ਬਾਕੇਸੰਗਨੇਹੁਤਿਨਲਾਯੋ॥
(ਇਕ) ਬਾਂਕੇ (ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ) ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਾਲ ਲਿਆ
ਕੇਵਲਕੋਚਿਤਤੇਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ॥੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੋ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨॥
She fell in love with a friend and disregarded her husband.(2)

ਏਕਦਿਵਸਕੇਵਲਗਯੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੋਕੌਨੇਕਾਜ॥
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ।
Once, Kewal came to his house for some errand,
ਦੇਖੈਕ੍ਯਾਨਿਜੁਤ੍ਰਿਯਭਏਬਾਕੋਰਹਿਯੋਬਿਰਾਜ॥੩॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਬਿਰਾਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
And he saw that the woman and her paramour were seated there.(3)
