ਸਭੈਚਮਰੁਤੂਮੈਬਿਨਾਯਾਪੁਰਮੈਹ੍ਵੈਜਾਹਿ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ-) ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਸ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿਮਟ ਜਾਣ।
He pronounced, ‘Except me every body get stuck.’
ਜਹਤਹਨਰਨਾਰੀਹੁਤੀਲਗੀਰਹੀਛਿਤਮਾਹਿ॥੨੦॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਜੋ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਸੀ, ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਮਟ ਗਈ ॥੨੦॥
Then all the men and women, where ever they were, they plunged on the ground.(20)
ਸੋਤਜਗਤਬੈਠਤਉਠਤਚਿਮਟਗਏਛਿਨਮਾਹਿ॥
ਸੌਂਦੇ, ਜਾਗਦੇ, ਉਠਦੇ, ਬੈਠਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਚਿਮਟ ਗਏ।
All those who were sleeping, awake, standing or sitting got stuck with the ground.
ਕੂਕਉਠੀਪੁਰਮੈਘਨੀਨੈਕਰਹੀਸੁਧਿਨਾਹਿ॥੨੧॥
ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੀਖ ਚਹਾੜਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੱਧ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ ॥੨੧॥
No one remained in his senses and lamentations were prevailing all over.(21)
ਪਤਿਧੋਤੀਬਾਧਿਤਫਸਿਯੋਪਾਕਪਕਾਵਤਤ੍ਰੀਯ॥
ਪਤੀ ਧੋਤੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਫਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਰਸੋਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਫਸ ਗਈ।
Husband was stuck while tying his lion-cloth and the woman was stuck while cooking.
ਨੌਆਤ੍ਰਿਯਸੋਵਤਫਸਿਯੋਕਛੁਨਰਹੀਸੁਧਿਜੀਯ॥੨੨॥
ਨਵੀਂ ਵਿਆਹੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ (ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਫਸ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ (ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ) ਜੀ ਦੀ ਹੋਸ਼ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ ॥੨੨॥
The husband sleeping with newly wed was stuck and no one remained rational.(22)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਸਾਹੁਪੁਤ੍ਰਤਬਹਤਾਕੇਆਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਸ (ਨਾਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।
ਕਹਾਭਯੋਕਹਿਤਿਸੈਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਜੋ (ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ।
The Shah’s son came there and told him what had happened.
ਜੁਕਛੁਕਹੋਮੁਹਿਕਾਜਕਮਾਊ॥
(ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਨਾਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਹੋ, ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਬੈਦਹਿਢੂਢਿਤਿਹਾਰੇਲ੍ਯਾਊ॥੨੩॥
ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਵੈਦ ਨੂੰ ਲਭ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੨੩॥
(He said,) ‘I will act the way you tell me and I will go and get a hakim (lay doctor).’(23)
ਲੈਘੋਰੀਸੁਤਸਾਹੁਸਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਘੋੜੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਿਆ
ਖੋਜਿਬੈਦਕੋਸੰਗਲੈਆਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਵੈਦ ਨੂੰ ਲਭ ਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।
The Shah’s son rode a mare to go in search, and to request the hakim to come.
ਤਹਜੰਗਲਕੀਹਾਜਤਿਭਈ॥
ਉਸ ਵੈਦ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਹਾਜਤ ਹੋਈ
ਘੋਰੀਸਾਹੁਪੁਤ੍ਰਕੋਦਈ॥੨੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਘੋੜੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੨੪॥
He (barber’s son) felt to go to meet the call of the nature, after handing over the mare to the son ofthe Shah.(24)

ਜਾਇਬੂਟੈਤਬਬੈਠਿਯੋਲਈਕੁਪੀਨਉਠਾਇ॥
ਤਦ ਉਹ ਲੰਗੋਟੀ ਚੁਕ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਬੂਟੇ ਪਾਸ ਜਾ ਬੈਠਾ
Undoing his lion-cloth he postured to relieve himself.
ਡਲਾਭਏਪੌਛਨਲਗਿਯੋਕਹਿਯੋਚਮਰੁਤੂਤਾਹਿ॥੨੫॥
ਅਤੇ (ਜਦੋ) ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਡਲਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਗੁਦਾ ਨੂੰ) ਪੂੰਝਣ ਲਗਿਆ (ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ, 'ਤੂੰ ਚਿਮਟ ਜਾ' ॥੨੫॥
As soon as he picked up and used a stone (to wipe off), he (Shah’s Son), pronounced, ‘get stuck.’
ਹਾਥਲਗੋਟੀਰਹਿਗਈਡਲਾਫਸਿਯੋਬੁਰਿਮਾਹਿ॥
ਲੰਗੋਟੀ (ਵੈਦ) ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਡਲਾ ਗੁਦਾ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਗਿਆ।
The corner of the lion-cloth remained in his (barber’s son’s) hand
ਚਰਨਝਾਰਕੇਸੰਗਰਸੇਤਾਹਿਰਹੀਸੁਧਿਨਾਹਿ॥੨੬॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰ ਝਾੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਲਝ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੁੱਧ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ ॥੨੬॥
And the stone was stuck in his rectum His feet were clung in the rope and he lost all his consciousness.(26)
ਲਏਅਸ੍ਵਨੀਸਾਹੁਕੋਪੂਤਪਹੂੰਚ੍ਯੋਆਇ॥
ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਘੋੜੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ
When the Shah’s son brought hakim on a mare,
ਕਹਿਯੋਬੈਦਮੈਕ੍ਯਾਕਰੋਂਇਹਦੁਖਕੋਸੁਉਪਾਇ॥੨੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਿਆ। ਹੇ ਵੈਦ! ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ, ਇਸ ਦੁਖ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਉਪਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੭॥
He asked, ‘Oh, hakim, how can I remedy this adversity.’(27)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਸਾਹੁਪੁਤ੍ਰਤਬਬਚਨਉਚਾਰੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਸੁਨੋਬੈਦਉਪਚਾਰਹਮਾਰੋ॥
ਹੇ ਵੈਦ! ਮੇਰਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਸੁਣੋ।
The Shah’s son suggested, ‘Dear Hakim, listen to me, my remedy,
ਹਮਰੋਇਹਆਗੇਦੁਖਭਯੋ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ (ਇਕ ਵਾਰ) ਅਗੇ ਇਹ ਦੁਖ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ
ਇਹਉਪਚਾਰਦੂਰਿਹ੍ਵੈਗਯੋ॥੨੮॥
(ਜੋ) ਇਹ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੨੮॥
‘Previously I suffered as well and through this it was remedied.’(28)

ਯਾਘੋਰੀਕੇਭਗਬਿਖੈਜੀਭਦਈਸੌਬਾਰ॥
ਇਸ ਘੋੜੀ ਦੀ ਭਗ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਸੌ ਵਾਰ ਜੀਭ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
‘I had thrust my tongue in the vagina of the mare for a hundred times,
ਤੁਰਤਰੋਗਹਮਰੋਕਟਿਯੋਸੁਨਹੁਬੈਦਉਪਚਾਰ॥੨੯॥
ਹੇ ਵੈਦ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਇਸ ਇਲਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਰੋਗ ਤੁਰਤ ਕਟ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੨੯॥
‘Then, listen hakim, my curse was eliminated immediately.’(29)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਤਬੈਬੈਦਸੋਊਕ੍ਰਿਆਕਮਾਈ॥
ਤਦ ਵੈਦ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ
ਤਾਕੇਭਗਮੈਜੀਭਧਸਾਈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜੀ ਦੀ ਭਗ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਭ ਧਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
The hakim wanted to try by himself, and thrust his tongue in the mare’s vagma.
ਕਹਿਯੋਚਮਰੁਤੂਸੋਲਗਿਗਈ॥
(ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੂੰ ਚਿਮਟ ਜਾ' ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜੁੜ ਗਈ।
ਅਤਿਹਾਸੀਗਦਹਾਕੋਭਈ॥੩੦॥
ਉਸ ਖੋਤੇ (ਵੈਦ) ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਾਸੀ ਹੋਈ ॥੩੦॥
He (Shah’s son) announced, get stuck, it was caught there and a great funwas ensued.(30)
ਲਏਲਏਤਾਕੋਪੁਰਆਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ
ਸਗਲਗਾਵਕੋਦਰਸਦਿਖਾਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।
He (Shah’s son) brought them to display in the village (where all people were already stuck).
ਬੈਦਕਛੂਉਪਚਾਰਹਿਕਰੌ॥
(ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਵੈਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ-) ਹੇ ਵੈਦ! ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਉਪਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ
ਇਨਕੇਪ੍ਰਾਨਛੁਟਨਤੇਡਰੌ॥੩੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ ॥੩੧॥
Every body requested hakim, ‘Please imply some antidote to release us.’(31)
ਪੁਰਜਨਬਾਚ॥
ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਅਧਿਕਦੁਖੀਪੁਰਜਨਭਏਕਛੂਨਚਲਿਯੋਉਪਾਇ॥
ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਾ ਨਾ ਚਲਿਆ।
Whole populace was in turmoil but they were helpless to do anything.
ਚਲਤਫਿਰਤਯਾਕੋਨਿਰਖਿਰਹੇਚਰਨਲਪਟਾਇ॥੩੨॥
(ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ) ਚਲਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਗ ਗਏ ॥੩੨॥
Seeing them walking in, they fell on their feet (and begged),(32)

ਹਮਰੇਨਾਥਉਪਾਇਹਿਕੀਜੈ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਥ! ਸਾਡਾ (ਕੋਈ) ਉਪਾ ਕਰੋ
ਅਪਨੇਜਾਨਿਰਾਖਿਕਰਿਲੀਜੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ (ਸਾਡੀ) ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
‘Please promote some resolve, and considering us all as your own subject, save us.
ਇਨੈਕਰੀਕਛੁਚੂਕਤਿਹਾਰੀ॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਕੋਈ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
