ਚਿਤਅਪਨੇਮੈਰਾਖਿਯਹੁਕਿਸੂਨਦੀਜਹੁਭੇਵ॥੭॥
(ਇਹ ਗੱਲ) ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ॥੭॥
‘Please keep it in your heart and do not reveal to any body.’(7)
ਐਸੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੋਭਾਖਿਕੈਦਿਨਦ੍ਵੈਚਾਰਬਿਤਾਇ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨ ਬਿਤਾਏ
After, when about four days had passed, she expressed,
ਸਕਲਕੋਠਰਿਨਤੇਲਏਸਭਹੀਜਾਰਬੁਲਾਇ॥੮॥
ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਕੋਠਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਯਾਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ ॥੮॥
That all his lovers should come out of their houses.(8)
ਆਪਨਸੋਲੌਡਿਯਨਸੋਂਜਾਰਦਏਚਿਮਟਾਇ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
She assembled all her maids and their friends,
ਪਠੈਏਕਚੇਰੀਦਈਕਹੌਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਸੋਜਾਇ॥੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ ਦਿਓ ॥੯॥
And, then she sent a maid to tell the Raja.(9)

ਜੁਮੈਤੁਮੈਸਿਵਬਾਨੀਕਹੀ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸ਼ਿਵ-ਬਾਣੀ ਕਹੀ ਸੀ,
‘What I told you about Shiva’s utterances,
ਵਹੈਬਾਤਤੁਮਰੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਲਹੀ॥
ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲ (ਮੈਂ) ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖੀ ਹੈ।
‘I have seen that happening in your house.
ਛੋਰਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਚਲਿਤੁਰਤਨਿਹਾਰਹੁ॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਤ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਵੇਖੋ
ਕਛੂਕੋਪਨਹਿਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਬਿਚਾਰਹੁ॥੧੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੦॥
‘Now leaving the Shastras come with me, and please don’t get angry.’(10)

ਤੁਰਤਬਚਨਸੁਨਿਨ੍ਰਿਪਗਯੋਕੇਲਕਰਤਜਹਤ੍ਰੀਯ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਤ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਥੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਰਤੀ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
On learning this, Raja immediately reached there where the ladies were making-love.
ਸਿਵਕੇਬਚਨਸੰਭਾਰਿਕੈਠਟਕਿਰਹਤਭਯੋਜੀਯ॥੧੧॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੧॥
Observing the utterances of Shiva coming true, he was astounded.(11)

ਮੁਹਿਜੁਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਸਿਵਬੈਨਉਚਾਰੇ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਹੀ ਸੀ,
ਸਾਚਭਏਵਹਧਾਮਹਮਾਰੇ॥
ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਚਮੁਚ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Be thought, ‘Whatever Shiva predicted, is being proved true in my own house.
ਰੂਪਮਤੀਮੁਹਿਝੂਠਿਨਕਹਿਯੋ॥
ਰੂਪ ਮਤੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਬਸੋਸਾਚਤਵਨਕੋਲਹਿਯੋ॥੧੨॥
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥
‘Roop Kala was after all not telling lies. I have recognised her truthfulness now.’(12)

ਰਤਿਕਰਿਕੈਸਭਹੀਤ੍ਰਿਯਨਦੀਨੇਜਾਰਉਠਾਇ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਤੀ ਮੰਨਾ ਕੇ ਯਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
After making love all the woman were sent away,
ਆਪੁਆਨਿਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੋਕਹਿਯੋਬਹਿਗੀਬਾਤਬਨਾਇ॥੧੩॥
(ਰਾਣੀ) ਆਪ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਹਿ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ ॥੧੩॥
And Rani herself came and sat near the Raja.(13)
ਜੋਮੈਤੁਮਸੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਕਹਿਯੋਬਾਤਅਬਵਹੈਲਹੀ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਹੁਣ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਵੇਖੀ ਹੈ।
‘My Raja, as I told you, it did transpire that way.
ਕੋਪਨਚਿਤਮੈਕੀਜਿਯਹੁਸਿਵਕੇਬਚਨਸਹੀ॥੧੪॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸਹੀ ਹਨ ॥੧੪॥
‘And now never get angry at Shiva, because his utterances are true.’(l4)
ਕਿੰਨਰਜਛਭੁਜੰਗਗਨਨਰਮੁਨਿਦੇਵਅਦੇਵ॥
ਕਿੰਨਰ, ਯਕਸ਼, ਸੱਪ, ਗਣ, ਨਰ, ਮੁਨੀ, ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ (ਆਦਿ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ)
Kinnar, Jachh, Bhujang, Gann, Humans and Ascetics, all types of gods,
ਤ੍ਰਿਯਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਕੋਚਿਤਮੈਰੰਚਨਚੀਨਤਭੇਵ॥੧੫॥
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੫॥

ਸਾਹੁਏਕਗੁਜਰਾਤਕੋਤਾਕੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਇਕਪੂਤ॥
ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
There lived a Shah in Gujarat, who had a son.
ਸੌਦਾਕੌਚੌਕਸਕਰੈਪਿਤੁਤੇਭਯੋਸਪੂਤ॥੧॥
ਜੋ ਪੂਰੀ ਚੌਕਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੌਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਉ ਦਾ ਸੁਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਨਿਬੜਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧॥
He was an obedient boy and was very alert in business.(1)
ਨਾਊਕੇਇਕਪੁਤ੍ਰਸੋਤਾਕੋਰਹੈਪ੍ਯਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਇਕ ਨਾਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।
He esteemed the son of a barber,
ਸੂਰਤਿਮੈਦੋਊਏਕਸੋਕੋਊਨਸਕੈਬਿਚਾਰ॥੨॥
ਸ਼ਕਲੋਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਨ। (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਕੋਈ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੨॥
And they looked alike so much that no one could distinguish.(2)

ਸਾਹੁਪੁਤ੍ਰਸਸੁਰਾਰੇਚਲੋ॥
ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੌਹਰੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਿਆ
ਸੰਗਲਏਨਊਆਸੁਤਭਲੋ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਨਾਲ ਨਾਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
Shah’s son took barber’s son with him to his in-laws.
ਗਹਿਰੇਬਨਭੀਤਰਦੋਊਗਏ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਗਏ
ਬਚਨਕਹਤਨਊਆਸੁਤਭਏ॥੩॥
(ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਨਾਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਬੋਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ॥੩॥
When they were passing through the thick jungle, the barber’s son called him.(3)
ਨਊਆਕੇਸੁਤਬਚਨਉਚਾਰੇ॥
ਨਾਈ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਸੁਨੋਸਾਹੁਸੁਤਬੈਨਹਮਾਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਕ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ।
Barber’s son said, ‘Listen, you the son of Shah,
ਤਬਹੌਯਾਰਤੁਮੈਪਹਿਚਾਨੌ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਿਤਰ ਮੰਨਾਗਾ,
ਮੇਰੇਕਹਿਯੋਅਬੈਜੌਮਾਨੌ॥੪॥
ਜੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੰਨੋ ॥੪॥
‘I accept your friendship only if you do me a favour.(4)

ਅਸ੍ਵਬਸਤ੍ਰਸਭਅਪਨੇਤਨਕਿਕਮੋਕੋਦੇਹੁ॥
ਆਪਣਾ ਘੋੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਥੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ
‘You give me your horse and all your clothes,
ਯਹਬੁਗਚਾਤੁਮਲੈਚਲੌਚਲਿਆਗੇਫਿਰਿਲੇਹੁ॥੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਗਠਰੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੈ ਲਓ ਅਤੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਗੇ ਚਲੋ ॥੫॥
‘And taking this bundle you walk in front of me.’(5)

ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਤਾਕੌਬੁਗਚਾਨਿਜੁਸਿਰਿਧਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਠਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਧਰ ਲਈ।
The son of Shah acted as told and put the bundle over his head.
ਨਿਜੁਘੋਰਾਪੈਤਾਹਿਚਰਾਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆ
ਅਪੁਨੇਬਸਤ੍ਰਨਸੋਪਹਿਰਾਯੋ॥੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੬॥
He (Shah’s son) made him to ride his horse and put on him (barber’s Son) his clothes.(6)
