(ਵੈਰੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਬਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਰੱਸੇ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਤੰਗ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਦੀ ਅੰਬਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ,
She destroyed the canopies, separated the palanquins from the elephants.,
ਮਾਨਹੁਆਗਲਗਾਇਹਨੂਗੜਲੰਕਅਵਾਸਕੀਡਾਰੀਅਟਾਰੀ॥੧੩੨॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਮਹੱਲ ਦੀ ਅਟਾਰੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੩੨॥
It seemed that Hanuman after setting Lanka on fire, has thrown down the loft of the palace of the citadel.132.,
ਤੋਰਕੈਮੋਰਕੈਦੈਤਨਕੇਮੁਖਘੋਰਕੇਚੰਡਿਮਹਾਅਸਿਲੀਨੋ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ (ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ) ਤਲਵਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਮਰੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Chandi, taking her superb sword, twisted the faces of the demons with her blows.,
ਜੋਰਕੈਕੋਰਕੈਠੋਰਕੈਬੀਰਸੁਰਾਛਸਕੋਹਤਿਕੈਤਿਹਦੀਨੋ॥
(ਜਿਹੜੇ) ਦੈਂਤ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਗੇ ਠਿਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ) ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
She destroyed those demons, who had obstructed her advance with their strength, being arrayed in rows.,
ਖੋਰਕੈਤੋਰਕੈਬੋਰਕੈਦਾਨਵਲੈਤਿਨਕੇਕਰੇਹਾਡਚਬੀਨੋ॥
(ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ) ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰਕੇ (ਡਰ ਵਿਚ) ਡੋਬ ਕੇ ਉਤਸਾਹ-ਹੀਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਚਬੀਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
Eroding the demons by creating fear, she ultimately crushed their bones.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਣਕੋਪਾਨਕਰਿਓਜਿਉਦਵਾਹਰਿਸਾਗਰਕੋਜਲਜਿਉਰਿਖਿਪੀਨੋ॥੧੩੩॥
ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਲਹੂ ਨੂੰ ਪੀ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਸਤ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੀ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧੩੩॥
She drank the blood as Krishna quaffed fire and the sage agastya drank the water of ocean.133.,
ਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਕੁਵੰਡਕਰੰਗਹਿਜੁਧਕਰਿਓਨਗਨੇਭਟਆਨੇ॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ (ਉਥੇ) ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
Chandi began the war very swiftly holding the bow in her hand, she killed the unaccountable number of demons.
ਮਾਰਿਦਈਸਭਦੈਤਚਮੂੰਤਿਹਸ੍ਰਉਣਤਜੰਬੁਕਗ੍ਰਿਝਅਘਾਨੇ॥
(ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਗਿਦੜ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਰਝਾਂ ਰਜ ਗਈਆਂ।
She killed all the army of the demon Raktavija and with their blood, the jackals and vultures satisfied their hunger.,
ਭਾਲਭਇਆਨਕਦੇਖਿਭਵਾਨੀਕੋਦਾਨਵਇਉਰਨਛਾਡਿਪਰਾਨੇ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮੱਥੇ (ਅਥਵਾ ਮੁਖ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ
Seeing the dreadful face of the goddess, the demons ran away from the field like this.,
ਪਉਨਕੇਗਉਨਕੇਤੇਜਪ੍ਰਤਾਪਤੇਪੀਪਰਕੇਜਿਉਪਾਤਉਡਾਨੇ॥੧੩੪॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਣ ਤੇ ਪਿੱਪਲ ਤੇ ਪੱਤਰ ਉਡ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੪॥
Just as with the blowing of swift and forceful wind, the leaves of the fig tree (peepal) fly away.134.,
ਆਹਵਮੈਖਿਝਕੈਬਰਚੰਡਕਰੰਧਰਕੈਹਰਿਪੈਅਰਿਮਾਰੇ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਝ ਕੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
With great the mighty Chandika, holding the sword in her hand, destroyed the horses and the enemies.,
ਏਕਨਤੀਰਨਚਕ੍ਰਗਦਾਹਤਿਏਕਨਕੇਤਨਕੇਹਰਿਫਾਰੇ॥
ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਚੱਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਦਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੇ ਪਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Many were killed with arrows, disc and mace and the bodies of many were torn by the lion.,

ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਸੈਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਦਲ (ਫ਼ੌਜ) ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਥਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
She killed the forces on horses, elephants and on foot and wounding those on chariots hath rendered them without chariots.,
ਸਿੰਧੁਰਐਸੇਪਰੇਤਿਹਠਉਰਜਿਉਭੂਮਮੈਝੂਮਿਗਿਰੇਗਿਰਭਾਰੇ॥੧੩੫॥
ਉਥੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਡਿਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੫॥

All the army of Raktavija ran away in fear of the goddess.,
ਕਹਿਓਦੈਤਪੁਨਿਘੇਰਕੈਕਰੋਚੰਡਿਕੋਨਾਸ॥੧੩੬॥
ਦੈਂਤ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ (ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ) ਇੱਕਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ॥੧੩੬॥
The demon brought them and said, “I shall destroy Chnadi.”136.,

ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੀਰ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਮੁੜ ਪਏ
Hearing these words with ears, the warriors returned and holding their swords in their hands,
ਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਸੋਜੁਧੁਕਰਿਓਬਲਿਕੈਅਤਹੀਮਨਕ੍ਰੁਧਤਹ੍ਵੈਕੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
And with great rage in their minds, with great force and swiftness, they began the war with the goddess.,
ਘਾਉਲਗੈਤਿਨਕੇਤਨਮੈਇਮਸ੍ਰਉਣਗਿਰਿਓਧਰਨੀਪਰੁਚੁਐਕੈ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਲਗੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਹੂ ਚੋ ਚੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਗਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝਰਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਲ ਡਿਗਦਾ ਹੈ)
The blood flowed out from their wounds and falls on the ground like the water in the cataract.,
ਆਗਲਗੇਜਿਮੁਕਾਨਨਮੈਤਨਤਿਉਰਹੀਬਾਨਨਕੀਧੁਨਿਹ੍ਵੈਕੈ॥੧੩੭॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਗ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ (ਤਿੜ ਤਿੜ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਵਜਣ ਦੀ ਧੁਨੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੭॥
The sound of the arrows appears like the cracking sound produced by the fire burning the needs.137.,
ਆਇਸਪਾਇਕੈਦਾਨਵਕੋਦਲਚੰਡਿਕੇਸਾਮੁਹੇਆਇਅਰਿਓਹੈ॥
(ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਦੀ) ਆਗਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਡਟ ਗਈ।
Hearing the command of Raktavija the army of the demons came and resisted before the goddess.,
ਢਾਰਅਉਸਾਂਗਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਨਿਲੈਕਰਮੈਬਰਬੀਰਨਜੁਧਕਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਢਾਲਾਂ, ਬਰਛੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The warriors began to wage war holding their shields, swords and daggers in their hands.,
ਫੇਰਫਿਰੇਨਹਿਆਹਵਤੇਮਨਮਹਿਤਿਹਧੀਰਜਗਾਢੋਧਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਉਹ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਧੀਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਇਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
They did not hesitate to come and have plucked up their hearts firmly.,
ਰੋਕਲਈਚਹੂੰਓਰਤੇਚੰਡਿਸੁਭਾਨਮਨੋਪਰਬੇਖਪਰਿਓਹੈ॥੧੩੮॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵੇਖ (ਚਾਨਣ ਦਾ ਘੇਰਾ) ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੩੮॥
They withheld Chandi from all the four sides like the sun encircled by clouds from all directions.138.,
ਕੋਪਕੈਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਕੁਵੰਡਮਹਾਬਲਕੈਬਲਵੰਡਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ
The powerful Chandi, in great rage, hath caught hold of her mighty bow with great force.,
ਦਾਮਿਨਿਜਿਉਘਨਸੇਦਲਪੈਠਿਕੈਕੈਪੁਰਜੇਪੁਰਜੇਦਲੁਮਾਰਿਓ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਵੈਰੀ) ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਪੁਰਜ਼ੇ ਪੁਰਜ਼ੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ (ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੈ)।
Penetrating like lightning amongst the clouds-like enemy, she hath cut asunder the army of demons.,
ਬਾਨਨਿਸਾਥਬਿਦਾਰਦਏਅਰਿਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਕਵਿਭਾਉਬਿਚਾਰਿਓ॥
ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਆਇਆ
She hath destroyed the enemy with her arrows, the poet hath imagined it in this manner:

ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਹਰੇ ਦੇ ਜਲ-ਕਣ ਉਡ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਤਿਵੇਂ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੂੰਬੇ ਅਥਵਾ ਚੀਥੜੇ) ਉਡਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੯॥
It seems that the arrows are moving like the radiant rays of the sun and the bits of the flesh of the demons are flying here and there like dust.139.,
ਚੰਡਿਚਮੂੰਬਹੁਦੈਤਨਕੀਹਤਿਫੇਰਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਕੁਵੰਡਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
After killing the enormous army of the demons, Chandi hath swiftly held up her bow.,
ਬਾਨਨਸੋਦਲਫੋਰਦਇਓਬਲਕੈਬਰਸਿੰਘਮਹਾਭਭਕਾਰਿਓ॥
ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ) ਸੈਨਾ ਪਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਦਹਾੜ੍ਹਿਆ।
She hath torn the forces with her arrows and the mighty lion hath also roared loudly.,
ਮਾਰਦਏਸਿਰਦਾਰਬਡੇਧਰਿਸ੍ਰਉਣਬਹਾਇਬਡੋਰਨਪਾਰਿਓ॥
ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ (ਸੈਨਿਕ) ਸਰਦਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਵਹਾ ਕੇ ਤਕੜਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
Many chieftains have been killed and the blood is flowing on the ground in this great war.,
ਏਕਕੇਸੀਸਦਇਓਧਨੁਯੌਜਨੁਕੋਪਕੈਗਾਜਨੇਮੰਡਪਮਾਰਿਓ॥੧੪੦॥
ਇਕ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਮਾਨੋ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਹੱਲ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੪੦॥
The head of one demon hath been kicked by the bow thrown away like the lightning desecrating a palace.140.,

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ('ਪਉਨ-ਪੂਤ') ਨੇ ਲੰਕਾ ਦਾ ਬਾਗ ਪੁਟ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧੪੧॥
Just as Hanuman, the son of wind-god, uprooted the garden of Lanka.141.,

ਬਲਵਾਨ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਗੱਜ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵੈਰੀ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਟਿਆ।
Very powerful Chandi, thundering like clouds, hath showered her arrows on the enemy like rain-drops.,
ਦਾਮਿਨਿਸੋਖਗਲੈਕਰਿਮੈਬਹੁਬੀਰਅਧੰਧਰਕੈਧਰਿਮਾਰੇ॥
ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
Taking the lightning-like sword in her hand, she hath cut into halves the trunks of the warriors and thrown them on the ground.,
ਘਾਇਲਘੂਮਪਰੇਤਿਹਇਉਉਪਮਾਮਨਮੈਕਵਿਯੌਅਨੁਸਾਰੇ॥
ਜਖ਼ਮੀ ਭੁਆਟੜੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਥੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ) ਕਵੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇੰਜ ਉਪਮਾ ਢੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The wounded revolve and like this according to the imagination of the poet.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਪ੍ਰਵਾਹਮਨੋਸਰਤਾਤਿਹਮਧਿਧਸੀਕਰਿਲੋਥਕਰਾਰੇ॥੧੪੨॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਲਹੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਧਸੀਆਂ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਕੰਢੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੪੨॥
Within the flowing stream of blood are drowned the corpses formulating the banks (of the stream).142.,
ਐਸੇਪਰੇਧਰਨੀਪਰਬੀਰਸੁਕੈਕੈਦੁਖੰਡਜੁਚੰਡਿਹਿਡਾਰੇ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੋ ਦੋ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
In this way, the warriors cut into halves by Chandi, are lying on the ground.,
ਲੋਥਨਉਪਰਲੋਥਗਿਰੀਬਹਿਸ੍ਰਉਣਚਲਿਓਜਨੁਕੋਟਪਨਾਰੇ॥
ਲੋਥਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਲੋਥ ਡਿਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਲਹੂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਪਰਨਾਲੇ ਵਗ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
The corpse hath fallen on the corpses and the blood is flowing enormously as if millions of spouts are feeding the flow.,
ਲੈਕਰਿਬਿਯਾਲਸੋਬਿਯਾਲਬਜਾਵਤਸੋਉਪਮਾਕਵਿਯੌਮਨਿਧਾਰੇ॥
(ਭੂਤ-ਗਣ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਦੂਜੇ) ਹਾਥੀ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਆਈ ਹੈ,
The elephants are bumped against the elephants and the poet imagines it like this,
ਮਾਨੋਮਹਾਪ੍ਰਲਏਬਹੇਪਉਨਸੋਆਪਸਿਮੈਭਿਰਹੈਗਿਰਿਭਾਰੇ॥੧੪੩॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਮਹਾ ਪਰਲੋ ਵੇਲੇ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਚਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਟਕਰਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੪੩॥
That with blowing of the wind each other.143.,
ਲੈਕਰਮੈਅਸਿਦਾਰੁਨਕਾਮਕਰੇਰਨਮੈਅਰਿਸੋਅਰਿਣੀਹੈ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਵੈਰਨ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਏ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ (ਉਹ) ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Holding her terrible sword in her hand, Chandi hath begun her function with powerful movement in the battlefield.,
ਸੂਰਹਨੇਬਲਿਕੈਬਲੁਵਾਨਸੁਸ੍ਰਉਨਚਲਿਓਬਹਿਬੈਤਰਨੀਹੈ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਵੈਤਰਨੀ ਨਦੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵਗਣ ਲਗਿਆ।
With great force she hath killed many warriors and their flowing blood seems like Vaitarni stream.,
