ਅਧਿਕਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਤਿਨਕੇਸੰਗਠਾਨੈ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ) ਨਾਲ ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ,
ਮੂਰਖਨਾਰਿਭੇਦਨਹਿਜਾਨੈ॥੧੪॥
ਪਰ (ਉਹ) ਮੂਰਖ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੧੪॥
She loved many shady characters who could not understand this foolish woman.(14)

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ) ਨਾਲ ਰਮਣ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕੁੱਤੀ (ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨ) ਲਈ
She would make love with others but denounced her co-wife as bitch.
ਏਕਦਰਬੁਹਮੈਚਾਹਿਯੈਜੌਦੈਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਰਾਜ॥੧੫॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਧਨ (ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ, ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿਓ ॥੧੫॥
And the openly declared that she just wanted one son, which God would give her.(15)

ਯਹਸਭਭੇਦਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਜਿਯਜਾਨੈ॥
ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਸੀ,
ਮੂਰਖਨਾਰਿਨਬਾਤਪਛਾਨੈ॥
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਸੀ।
The Raja in fact knew all these happenings but the foolish woman had not discerned.
ਰਾਜਾਅਵਰਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਨਬੁਲਾਵੈ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ
The Raja in fact knew all these happenings but the foolish woman had not discerned.
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਕੇਭੋਗਕਮਾਵੈ॥੧੬॥
ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੧੬॥
The Raja himself used to invite many other ladies to make love with them.(16)

ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਿੱਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਤੀ (ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਜ) ਉਤੇ ਨਾ ਬੁਲਾਏ।
The woman, whose husband does not invite her into bed, is ill-fated.
ਤਿਹਦੇਖਤਤ੍ਰਿਯਅਨਤਕੀਸੇਜਬਿਹਾਰਨਜਾਇ॥੧੭॥
ਉਸ (ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਧਿੱਕਾਰ ਹੈ) ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਜ ਉਤੇ ਰਮਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਏ ॥੧੭॥
And the man, whose wife adores the bed of another person, is hapless.(17)

ਮੂਰਖਨਾਰਿਭੇਦਨਹਿਪਾਵੈ॥
ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਸਵਤਿਤ੍ਰਾਸਤੇਦਰਬੁਲੁਟਾਵੈ॥
ਸੌਂਕਣ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਧਨ ਲੁਟਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
The foolish (Rani) did not care and kept on squandering the wealth.
ਤੇਵਾਕੀਕਛੁਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਨਮਾਨੈ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੀ ਸੀ
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਭਏਕਛੁਔਰਬਖਾਨੈ॥੧੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਪਾਸ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਦਸਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੧੮॥
She would not give him much respect, but when she encountered him, she showed different attitude.(18)

ਸੁਨੋਰਾਇਇਕਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਸੁਭਤਾਹਿਬੁਲਾਇਯੈ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਸੁਣੋ; ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਓ।
‘Listen, my Raja, a female is very auspicious,
ਤਾਸੌਮੈਨਬਿਹਾਰਬਿਸੇਖਕਮਾਇਯੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰੋ।
‘By making love with her one is alleviated,
ਐਸੀਤ੍ਰਿਯਕਰਪਰੈਜਾਨਨਹਿਦੀਜਿਯੈ॥
ਅਜਿਹੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਲਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ
‘If such a woman comes across, one should not let go,
ਹੋਨਿਜੁਨਾਰੀਸੋਨੇਹੁਨਕਬਹੂੰਕੀਜਿਯੈ॥੧੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ॥੧੯॥
‘(Might be) one had to abandon his own female.(l9)
ਚੌਪਈ॥

ਭਲੌਵਹੈਜੋਭੋਗਕਮਾਵੈ॥
ਉਹੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
‘One who indulges in lovemaking is favoured,
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਸੋਦਰਬੁਲੁਟਾਵੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਨ ਲੁਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
‘And he fritters away wealth in various forms.
ਨਿਜੁਤ੍ਰਿਯਸਾਥਨਨੇਹਲਗੈਯੇ॥
ਤਦ ਤਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ
‘One should not indulge in the one whom one cannot own,
ਜੋਜਿਤਜਗਆਪਨਨਕਹੈਯੈ॥੨੦॥
ਜਦ ਤਕ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥੨੦॥
‘And unless one has won over, one should not declare her as his own.(20)

ਤੁਮਰਾਜਾਸਮਭਵਰਕੀਫੂਲੀਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿਨਿਹਾਰਿ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੌਰੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਫੁਲ ਸਮਝੋ।
‘You are Raja, an women are blossomed flower,
ਬਿਨੁਰਸਲੀਨੇਕ੍ਯੋਰਹੋਤ੍ਰਿਯਕੀਸੰਕਬਿਚਾਰਿ॥੨੧॥
(ਆਪਣੀ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਸ ਲਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਾਏ ॥੨੧॥
Without any reservations, you savour the juice of their love.(21)

ਜਿਹਤੁਮਚਾਹਹੁਤਿਸੈਲੈਆਵਹਿ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਅਬਹੀਤੁਹਿਸੋਆਨਿਮਿਲਾਵਹਿ॥
ਹੁਣ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਣ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
‘Whosoever you want, could be brought to delight you.
ਤਾਸੋਭੋਗਮਾਨਿਰੁਚਿਕੀਜੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਚਾਹੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਰੋ।
ਮਧੁਰਬਚਨਸ੍ਰਵਨਨਸੁਨਿਲੀਜੈ॥੨੨॥
ਇਹ ਮਿਠੇ ਬੋਲ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਲਵੋ ॥੨੨॥
‘You enjoy sex with her profoundly and heed to my solemn oration.’(22)
ਯੌਰਾਜਾਸੋਬੈਨਸੁਨਾਵਹਿ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ
‘You enjoy sex with her profoundly and heed to my solemn oration.’(22)
ਬਹੁਰਿਜਾਇਰਾਨੀਯਹਿਭੁਲਾਵਹਿ॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
She would talk to the Raja as such and create confusion in the mind of the Rani (co-wife),
ਜੌਹਮਤੈਨਿਕਸਨਪ੍ਰਭੁਪਾਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਰਾਜਾ (ਸਾਡੀ ਫਾਹੀ) ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲੇਗਾ,
She would talk to the Raja as such and create confusion in the mind of the Rani (co-wife),
ਅਨਿਕਤ੍ਰਿਯਨਸੋਭੋਗਕਮਾਵੈ॥੨੩॥
ਤਦ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੇਗਾ ॥੨੩॥
By telling her, ‘If he gets out of our noose, only then he could have sex with some other woman.’(23)

ਐਸਭਾਤਿਨਿਤਭ੍ਰਿਤਨਕੇਨਿਸਦਿਨਸੋਚਬਿਹਾਇ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਇਹੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ
The Raja’s hirelings were alarmed and they reflected,
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਸਮਝਿਕਛੁਦੈਨਹੀਰਾਨੀਧਨਹਿਲੁਟਾਇ॥੨੪॥
ਕਿ ਰਾਜਾ (ਅਜ ਕਲ) ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਰਾਣੀ ਧਨ ਲੁਟਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੪॥
That the Raja was not dishing out but the Rani was profligating the wealth.(24)

ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ
ਭਛਭੋਜਅਰੁਮਦਹਿਮੰਗਾਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਮੰਗਵਾਈ।
The Raja called the Rani one day and ordered for the food and wine.
ਅਧਿਕਮਦਹਿਰਾਜਾਲੈਪਿਯੋ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀ ਲਈ,
ਥੋਰਿਕਸੋਰਾਨੀਤਿਨਲਿਯੋ॥੨੫॥
ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪੀ ਲਈ ॥੨੫॥
The Raja drank a lot but the Rani swallowed a little bit.(25)
