ਜੋ ਕੁਝ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਕਹੋਗੇ ਉਹੀ ਹੁਣ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ
ਤਵਆਗ੍ਯਾਫੇਰਿਹੈਨਕੋਈ॥੪੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਕੋਈ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੇਰਾਂਗੀ ॥੪੪॥
‘I will render every service to your desire and will never evade.’(44)

ਮੈਯਾਸੋਗੋਸਟਿਕਰੋਕਹਿਅਲਿਦਈਉਠਾਇ॥
'ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ'। (ਇਹ) ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
‘I will have a talk with him alone, saying so she made all the others to leave the place.
ਆਪੁਆਇਤਾਸੋਰਮੀਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਹਰਖਉਪਜਾਇ॥੪੫॥
ਆਪ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਮਿਤਰ) ਨਾਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਰਮਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੀ ॥੪੫॥
Then, herself, started to quench the thirst of her heart.(45)
ਲੈਤਾਕੋਘਰਚਲੀਮਨਮਾਨਤਕਰਿਭੋਗ॥
(ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਮਨ ਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਚਲੀ।
She felt homely with him, and commenced favourite sex-plays.
ਯਾਹਿਮਿਲਿਯੋਸਭਹਰਿਕਹੈਭੇਦਨਜਾਨਹਿਲੋਗ॥੪੬॥
ਸਭ ਇਹੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ (ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਨ, (ਪਰ ਅਸਲ) ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੪੬॥

ਤਵਨਜਾਰਕੋਸੰਗਲੈਚਲੀ॥
(ਉਹ) ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਕੁ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ
ਲੀਨੇਸਾਥਿਪਚਾਸਕਿਅਲੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਯਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਈ।
Then she brought her paramour to her home along with other fifty friends.
ਗੋਸਟਿਹੇਤਧਾਮਤਿਹਆਵੈ॥
ਉਹ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ
ਸੰਕਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਕਰਿਭੋਗਕਮਾਵੈ॥੪੭॥
ਅਤੇ (ਰਾਣੀ) ਸੰਗ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਦੀ ॥੪੭॥
With sweet talks, she impressed all, and, then making them to leave, she enjoyed sex-plays.(47)

ਤਵਨਜਾਰਸੌਯੌਰਹੈਨਿਜੁਨਾਰੀਜਿਯੋਹੋਇ॥
ਉਹ ਯਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
The lover lived there as if he was living with his own wife.
ਲੋਗਗੁਰੂਕਹਿਪਗਪਰੈਭੇਦਨਪਾਵੈਕੋਇ॥੪੮॥
ਲੋਕੀਂ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਯਾਰ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੇ, ਪਰ (ਇਸ) ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਿਆ ॥੪੮॥
But the people considered him Guru and did not understand inner secret.(48)
ਚੰਚਲਾਨਕੇਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਕੋਸਕਤਨਕੋਊਪਾਇ॥
ਚੰਚਲ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਿਆ।
No one can understand the cryptic character of women,
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਸੂਰਸੁਰਅਸੁਰਸਭਬ੍ਰਹਮਬਿਸਨਸੁਰਰਾਇ॥੪੯॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਦੈਂਤ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕੇ) ॥੪੯॥
Not even Sun, Moon, gods, demons, Brahma, Vishnu and Indra.(49)(1)

ਗੰਗਜਮੁਨਭੀਤਰਬਸੈਕੈਲਾਖਰਦੀਦੂਨ॥
ਗੰਗਾ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਕੈਲਾਖਰ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਸਥਿਤ ਸੀ।
There exists a valley at Kailakhar, at the confluence of the River Jamuna and the Rives Ganga.
ਤਿਹਠਾਲੋਗਬਸੈਘਨੈਪ੍ਰਤਛਪਸੂਕੀਜੂਨ॥੧॥
ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੧॥
The people of that place lived a life of destitute, like the animals.(1)

ਬਹੁਰਿਸੁਮੰਤ੍ਰੀਬਚਨਉਚਾਰੇ॥
ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ।
ਸੁਨਹੁਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਪ੍ਰਾਨਨਤੇਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਸੁਣੋ।
The Minister said, ‘Listen My most cherished Majesty,
ਏਕਕਥਾਤ੍ਰਿਯਤੁਮਹਿਸੁਨਾਊ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ
ਤਾਤੇਤੁਮਰੋਤਾਪਮਿਟਾਊ॥੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦਾ ਦੁਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
‘Now 1 will tell you the story which will illuminate all your anxieties.’(2)

ਕੈਲਾਖਰਕੇਰਾਵਕੀਏਕਹੁਤੀਬਰਨਾਰਿ॥
ਕੈਲਾਖਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ।
The Raja of Kailakhar had a very pretty lady.
ਰਾਜਨਸਟਕੇਹੇਤੁਤਿਨਚਿਤਮੈਕਿਯਾਬਿਚਾਰਿ॥੩॥
ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ (ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੩॥
Once in her mind she contemplated of destroying the monarchy.(3)

ਪ੍ਰੇਮਕੁਅਰਿਤਾਕੀਇਕਰਾਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੁੰਵਰੀ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਰਾਣੀ ਸੀ।
ਬਿਰਧਰਾਵਲਖਿਕਰਿਡਰਪਾਨੀ॥
ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਰਧ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਗਈ।
Prem Kumari was the name of that Rani.
ਯਾਕੇਧਾਮਏਕਸੁਤਨਾਹੀ॥
'ਇਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ'
Observing the Raja’s old age, she was always apprehensive.
ਇਹਚਿੰਤਾਤਾਕੇਚਿਤਮਾਹੀ॥੪॥
ਇਹ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ ॥੪॥
One factor always worried her the Raja had no male issue.( 4)

ਪੁਤ੍ਰਨਗ੍ਰਿਹਯਾਕੇਭਯੋਬਿਰਧਗਯੋਹ੍ਵੈਰਾਇ॥
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਿਰਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The Raja had no issue and he was getting old.
ਕੇਲਕਲਾਤੈਥਕਿਗਯੋਸਕਤਨਸੁਤਉਪਜਾਇ॥੫॥
ਕਾਮਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੫॥
He had lacked sexual potency and was unable to produce a child.(5)

ਤਾਤੇਕਛੂਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਬਨੈਯੇ॥
(ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ) ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ
ਰਾਜਧਾਮਤੇਜਾਨਨਦੈਯੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
(She thought) ‘I should conduct some manoeuvring and should not let the throne slip out of my hands.
ਪੂਤਅਨਤਕੌਲੈਕਰਿਪਰਿਯੈ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਾਲ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ
ਨਾਮਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਕੌਬਦਨਉਚਰਿਯੈ॥੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਸਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
‘I should get child through some body else and announce it to be of Raja.’(6)

ਗਰਭਵਤੀਇਕਤ੍ਰਿਯਹੁਤੀਲੀਨੀਨਿਕਟਿਬੁਲਾਇ॥
ਇਕ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ) ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
There was a pregnant lady, which she called to her house.
ਰਨਿਯਹਿਰਹਿਯੋਅਧਾਨਜਗਐਸੇਦਈਉਡਾਇ॥੭॥
'ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ'। ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਧੁਮਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੭॥
She let loose the rumour that the Rani was pregnant.(7)
ਅਧਿਕਦਰਬਤਾਕੌਦਯੋਮੋਲਪੁਤ੍ਰਤਿਹਲੀਨ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੁਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
She paid lot of money to that lady and bought her son.
ਸੁਤਉਪਜ੍ਯੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਰਾਇਕੇਯੌਕਹਿਉਤਸਵਕੀਨ॥੮॥
'ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ'। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮੰਨਾਇਆ ॥੮॥
The announcement of the birth of son of Raja gave her immense satisfaction.(8)
ਡੋਮਭਾਟਢਾਢੀਨਕੌਦੀਨਾਦਰਬੁਅਪਾਰ॥
ਡੂਮਾਂ, ਭੱਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਧਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ
She gave out abundant amounts in alms to the Bards and Minstrels
