ਭਾਜਿਚਲੌਤ੍ਰਿਯਦੇਤਗਹਾਈ॥੪੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਭਜਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਤਾਂ ਇਹ) ਇਸਤਰੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਪਕੜਾ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ॥੪੧॥
But if I try to run away, she will get me caught.(41)
ਤਾਤੇਯਾਕੀਉਸਤਤਿਕਰੋ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਾਂ
ਚਰਿਤਖੇਲਿਯਾਕੋਪਰਹਰੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਖੇਡ ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਤੋਂ) ਪਿਛਾ ਛੁੜਾਵਾਂ।
‘It will be better if I praise her and through dramatisation get rid of her.
ਬਿਨੁਰਤਿਕਰੈਤਰਨਿਜਿਯਮਾਰੈ॥
ਰਤੀ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ (ਇਹ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।
‘Without agreeing to commit sex, she will kill me.
ਕਵਨਸਿਖ੍ਯਮੁਹਿਆਨਿਉਬਾਰੈ॥੪੨॥
ਕੌਣ (ਅਜਿਹਾ) ਸਿੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ (ਜੋ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਬਚਾ ਲਏ? ॥੪੨॥
‘I wish some disciple of mine could come and save me.’(42)

ਧੰਨ੍ਯਤਰੁਨਿਤਵਰੂਪਧੰਨ੍ਯਪਿਤੁਮਾਤਤਿਹਾਰੋ॥
ਹੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ! ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਧੰਨ ਹਨ।
(He said to her), ‘You are admirable and so are your mother and father.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯਤਿਹਾਰੇਦੇਸਧੰਨ੍ਯਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨਹਾਰੋ॥
ਤੇਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵੀ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ।
‘Your country is commendable and commendable are your sustainers.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯਕੁਅਰਿਤਵਬਕ੍ਰਤਅਧਿਕਜਾਮੈਛਬਿਛਾਜੈ॥
ਹੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਇਸਤਰੀ! ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਛਬੀ ਛਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,
‘Your face, which is very pretty, is so meritorious,
ਹੋਜਲਜਸੂਰਅਰੁਚੰਦ੍ਰਦ੍ਰਪਕੰਦ੍ਰਪਲਖਿਭਾਜੈ॥੪੩॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਮਲ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ (ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ) ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੩॥
‘That, even, the Lotus- flower, Sun, Moon and Cupid lose their vanity.(43)
ਸੁਭਸੁਹਾਗਤਨਭਰੇਚਾਰੁਚੰਚਲਚਖੁਸੋਹਹਿ॥
(ਤੇਰਾ) ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਸੁਭਾਗਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਚੰਚਲ ਨੈਣ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਫਬਦੇ ਹਨ।
‘Your body is blissful and your eyes are coquettish.
ਖਗਮ੍ਰਿਗਜਛਭੁਜੰਗਅਸੁਰਸੁਰਨਰਮੁਨਿਮੋਹਹਿ॥
ਪੰਛੀਆਂ, ਹਿਰਨਾਂ, ਯਕਸ਼ਾਂ, ਸੱਪਾਂ, ਦੈਂਤਾਂ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ, ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਮੋਹ ਰਹੀ ਹੈਂ।
‘You are winsome to all, the birds, deer, beasts, reptiles and demons,
ਸਿਵਸਨਕਾਦਿਕਥਕਿਤਰਹਿਤਲਖਿਨੇਤ੍ਰਤਿਹਾਰੇ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਮਾਨਸ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਥਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
‘Shiva and all his four sons have languished by looking at your eyes.
ਹੋਅਤਿਅਸਚਰਜਕੀਬਾਤਚੁਭਤਨਹਿਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਹਮਾਰੇ॥੪੪॥
ਪਰ ਬੜੇ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਇਹ) ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਭਦੇ ॥੪੪॥
‘But the strange phenomena is that your eyes have not been able to penetrate into my heart.’(44)

ਪੌਢਤੀਅੰਕਪ੍ਰਜੰਕਲਲਾਕੋਲੈਕਾਹੂਸੋਭੇਦਨਭਾਖਤਜੀਕੋ॥
(ਇਸਤਰੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਵਕੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਪਲੰਘ ਉਤੇ ਲੇਟ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ।
(She replied,) ‘Cuddling you I will lie down on the bed and will never divulge this secret to anyone.
ਕੇਲਕਮਾਤਬਹਾਤਸਦਾਨਿਸਿਮੈਨਕਲੋਲਨਲਾਗਤਫੀਕੋ॥
ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਰਾਤ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮ-ਕਲੋਲ ਫਿਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੇ।
‘Frolicking thus, whole night will pass, and, even the Cupids play will seem trivial.
ਜਾਗਤਲਾਜਬਢੀਤਹਮੈਡਰਲਾਗਤਹੈਸਜਨੀਸਭਹੀਕੋ॥
ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਜਾਗਣ ਤੇ (ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਜ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
‘I am living on dreams (about you) and wake up afraid of losing you.
ਤਾਤੇਬਿਚਾਰਤਹੌਚਿਤਮੈਇਹਜਾਗਨਤੇਸਖਿਸੋਵਨਨੀਕੋ॥੪੫॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਇਸ ਜਾਗਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਸੌਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੫॥
‘I would rather die, than to wake up from such a dream.’(45)

ਬਹੁਰਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਤਿਹਰਾਇਸੋਯੌਬਚਕਹਿਯੋਸੁਨਾਇ॥
ਫਿਰ (ਉਸ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬੋਲ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਏ।
Then she declared loudly and told, the Raja.
ਆਜਭੋਗਤੋਸੋਕਰੌਕੈਮਰਿਹੌਬਿਖੁਖਾਇ॥੪੬॥
ਮੈਂ ਅਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ॥੪੬॥
‘Either I will have sex with you or I will kill myself by taking poison.’(46)
ਬਿਸਿਖੀਬਰਾਬਰਿਨੈਨਤਵਬਿਧਨਾਧਰੇਬਨਾਇ॥
ਵਿਧਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨੈਣ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ,
(Raja,) ‘God has created your eyes like sharp arrows,
ਲਾਜਕੌਚਮੋਕੌਦਯੋਚੁਭਤਨਤਾਤੇਆਇ॥੪੭॥
(ਪਰ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲਾਜ ਦਾ ਕਵਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਚੁਭਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ॥੪੭॥
‘But He has endowed me modesty and that is why they cannot pierce me.(47)
ਬਨੇਠਨੇਆਵਤਘਨੇਹੇਰਤਹਰਤਗ੍ਯਾਨ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਨੈਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸਜੇ ਸੰਵਰੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਹਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
‘Your eyes are penetrating and on the very first sight they oust the knowledge.
ਭੋਗਕਰਨਕੌਕਛੁਨਹੀਡਹਕੂਬੇਰਸਮਾਨ॥੪੮॥
(ਪਰ) ਗਲਘੋਟੂ ਬੇਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ (ਖਿਚ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੪੮॥
‘But for me, having no attraction for sex, they are merely like berries.’(48)
ਧੰਨ੍ਯਬੇਰਹਮਤੇਜਗਤਨਿਰਖਿਪਥਿਕਕੌਲੇਤ॥
ਸਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੇਰ (ਬ੍ਰਿਛ) ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਰਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੇਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
(She) ‘Worthy are those berries whom whole world can see,
ਬਰਬਸਖੁਆਵਤਫਲਪਕਰਿਜਾਨਬਹੁਰਿਘਰਦੇਤ॥੪੯॥
(ਬੇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ) ਮਲੋ ਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਫਲ ਖੁਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੯॥
‘And the trees, whose fruit people eat and go home satisfied.’(49)
ਅਟਪਟਾਇਬਾਤੇਕਰੈਮਿਲ੍ਯੋਚਹਤਪਿਯਸੰਗ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਅਟਪਟੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ (ਉਹ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Talking nonsensically, she was becoming impatient to meet her love.
ਮੈਨਬਾਨਬਾਲਾਬਿਧੀਬਿਰਹਬਿਕਲਭਯੋਅੰਗ॥੫੦॥
(ਉਹ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਅੰਗ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੫੦॥
Her each and every limb was demanding, because she was absolutely stung with the passion.(50)

ਸੁਧਿਜਬਤੇਹਮਧਰੀਬਚਨਗੁਰਦਏਹਮਾਰੇ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਰਤ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ ਹੈ, (ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ) ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
(Raja) ‘Since the time I realized the sense of maturity, which my Guru had taught,
ਪੂਤਇਹੈਪ੍ਰਨਤੋਹਿਪ੍ਰਾਨਜਬਲਗਘਟਥਾਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਤੇਰੀ ਇਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹਨ,
“Aye My Son, so long as there is life m your body,
ਨਿਜਨਾਰੀਕੇਸਾਥਨੇਹੁਤੁਮਨਿਤਬਢੈਯਹੁ॥
(ਤਦ ਤਕ) ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿ
“You promise to enhance love with your own wife,
ਪਰਨਾਰੀਕੀਸੇਜਭੂਲਿਸੁਪਨੇਹੂੰਨਜੈਯਹੁ॥੫੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਜ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਈਂ ॥੫੧॥
“But never, even by mistake, bed with else’s wife.(51)
ਪਰਨਾਰੀਕੇਭਜੇਸਹਸਬਾਸਵਭਗਪਾਏ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਭਗ-ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।
“By relishing else’s wife, Inder, the god was showered with female genitals.
ਪਰਨਾਰੀਕੇਭਜੇਚੰਦ੍ਰਕਾਲੰਕਲਗਾਏ॥
ਪਰਾਈ ਨਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਲੰਕ ਲਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
“By relishing else’s wife, Moon was blemished.
ਪਰਨਾਰੀਕੇਹੇਤਸੀਸਦਸਸੀਸਗਵਾਯੋ॥
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਗਵਾਉਣੇ ਪਏ।
“By relishing else’s wife, Ten Headed Raawana lost all his ten heads.
ਹੋਪਰਨਾਰੀਕੇਹੇਤਕਟਕਕਵਰਨਕੌਘਾਯੋ॥੫੨॥
(ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਕੌਰਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ॥੫੨॥
“By relishing else’s wife all the clan of Korav was annihilated.(52)
ਪਰਨਾਰੀਸੌਨੇਹੁਛੁਰੀਪੈਨੀਕਰਿਜਾਨਹੁ॥
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤਿਖੀ ਛੁਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸਮਝੋ।
“The love with else’s wife is like a sharp dagger.
ਪਰਨਾਰੀਕੇਭਜੇਕਾਲਬ੍ਯਾਪਯੋਤਨਮਾਨਹੁ॥
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪੀ ਮੌਤ ਸਮਝੋ।
“The love with else’s wife is an invitation to death.
ਅਧਿਕਹਰੀਫੀਜਾਨਿਭੋਗਪਰਤ੍ਰਿਯਜੋਕਰਹੀ॥
ਜੋ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੱਕਾਰ ('ਹਰੀਫ਼ੀ') ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
“The one who thinks himself to be very brave and indulges carnally with else’s wife,
ਹੋਅੰਤਸ੍ਵਾਨਕੀਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਹਾਥਲੇਾਂਡੀਕੇਮਰਹੀ॥੫੩॥
(ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ) ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਡਾਲ ('ਲੇਂਡੀ') ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੩॥
“He is killed in the hands of a coward like a dog.”(53)
ਬਾਲਹਮਾਰੇਪਾਸਦੇਸਦੇਸਨਤ੍ਰਿਯਆਵਹਿ॥
ਹੇ ਬਾਲਾ! ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
“Listen lady! Women come to us from far off lands,
ਮਨਬਾਛਤਬਰਮਾਗਿਜਾਨਿਗੁਰਸੀਸਝੁਕਾਵਹਿ॥
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਿਤ ਵਰ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
“They bow their heads and wish for boons.
ਸਿਖ੍ਯਪੁਤ੍ਰਤ੍ਰਿਯਸੁਤਾਜਾਨਿਅਪਨੇਚਿਤਧਰਿਯੈ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੀਆਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
“Those Sikhs (disciples) are like my sons and their wives like my daughters.
ਹੋਕਹੁਸੁੰਦਰਿਤਿਹਸਾਥਗਵਨਕੈਸੇਕਰਿਕਰਿਯੈ॥੫੪॥
ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਰਮਣ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ? ॥੫੪॥
“Tell me, now, the pretty one, how could I copulate with them.”(54)
