ਚਮਤਕਾਰਇਕਤੌਹਿਦਿਖੈਹੌ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
A miracle and, thereafter,
ਤਿਹਪਾਛੈਤੁਹਿਮੰਤ੍ਰਸਿਖੈਹੌ॥੧੬॥
ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੧੬॥
The magical charms will be taught to you.(16)

ਹੋਤਪੁਰਖਤੇਮੈਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਤ੍ਰਿਯਤੇਨਰਹ੍ਵੈਜਾਉ॥
ਮੈਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਤੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
‘1 will convert a man into a woman and a woman into a man.
ਨਰਹ੍ਵੈਸਿਖਵੌਮੰਤ੍ਰਤੁਹਿਤ੍ਰਿਯਹ੍ਵੈਭੋਗਕਮਾਉ॥੧੭॥
ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ॥੧੭॥
‘Becoming a man I will teach you charms and, then turning into a woman 1 will indulge in sexual play with you.’(17)

ਰਾਇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਪੁਰਖਮੰਤ੍ਰਦਾਇਕਪਿਤਾਮੰਤ੍ਰਦਾਇਕਤ੍ਰਿਯਮਾਤ॥
ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
‘The man who confers the charms is the father and a woman the mother.
ਤਿਨਕੀਸੇਵਾਕੀਜਿਯੈਭੋਗਨਕੀਨਜਾਤ॥੧੮॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ॥੧੮॥
‘One should provide them service instead of involving in sexual plays.(18)

ਬਹੁਬਰਿਸਨਲਗਿਜਾਨਿਸੇਵਗੁਰਕੀਜਿਯੈ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਬਰਸ ਤਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ
‘By rendering service and bowing head in obeisance to the Guru for
ਜਤਨਕੋਟਿਕਰਿਬਹੁਰਿਸੁਮੰਤ੍ਰਹਿਲੀਜਿਯੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਯਤਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
A long time, with great efforts, the charms are learnt.
ਜਾਹਿਅਰਥਕੇਹੇਤਸੀਸਨਿਹੁਰਾਇਯੈ॥
ਉਸ ਲਈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ) ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
‘You bow your head before him and
ਹੋਕਹੋਚਤੁਰਿਤਾਸੌਕ੍ਯੋਨਕੇਲਮਚਾਇਯੈ॥੧੯॥
ਹੇ ਚਤੁਰ! ਦਸੋ, (ਫਿਰ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਏ ॥੧੯॥
To learn you perform playful actions.’(l9)

ਤਬਜੋਗੀਇਹਭਾਤਿਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਜੋਗੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਤਵਭੇਟਨਹਿਤਭੇਖਬਨਾਯੋ॥
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਭੇਖ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
Thereafter ascetic added, ‘To meet you I have disguised myself like
ਅਬਮੇਰੇਸੰਗਭੋਗਕਮੈਯੈ॥
ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰੋ
ਆਨਪਿਯਾਸੁਭਸੇਜਸੁਹੈਯੈ॥੨੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ! (ਮੇਰੀ) ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸੇਜ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੋਵੋ ॥੨੦॥
This. ‘Now you bedeck my bed and enjoy sex with me.(20)

ਤਨਤਰਫਤਤਵਮਿਲਨਕੌਬਿਰਹਬਿਕਲਭਯੋਅੰਗ॥
ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਤਨ ਤੜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
‘My mind has been craving to meat you and every limb of my body is getting impassioned.
ਸੇਜਸੁਹੈਯੈਆਨਪਿਯਆਜੁਰਮੋਮੁਹਿਸੰਗ॥੨੧॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ! (ਮੇਰੀ) ਸੇਜ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਬਿਰਾਜੋ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਮਣ ਕਰੋ ॥੨੧॥
‘O my love! Come to my ravishing bed and enthral me with your company.(21)
ਭਜੇਬਧੈਹੌਚੋਰਕਹਿਤਜੇਦਿਵੈਹੌਗਾਰਿ॥
(ਜੇ) ਭਜੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਚੋਰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਪਕੜਵਾ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ (ਜੇ) ਛਡੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਗਾਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ।
‘But if you attempt to run away, 1 will get you caught by shouting “thief” and abuse you as well.
ਨਾਤਰਸੰਕਬਿਸਾਰਿਕਰਿਮੋਸੌਕਰਹੁਬਿਹਾਰ॥੨੨॥
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਮਣ ਕਰੋ ॥੨੨॥
‘Therefore, my love! Forget all the apprehensions and indulge with me in fornication.(22)
ਕਾਮਾਤੁਰਹ੍ਵੈਜੋਤਰੁਨਿਆਵਤਪਿਯਕੇਪਾਸ॥
ਕਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੀੜਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
‘If a woman comes to her husband tormented with the sexual desire,
ਮਹਾਨਰਕਸੋਡਾਰਿਯਤਦੈਜੋਜਾਨਨਿਰਾਸ॥੨੩॥
(ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਾਸ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾ ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ॥੨੩॥
‘And, if she faces disappointment, then, her husband is fit to be thrown into the hell.(23)
ਤਨਅਨੰਗਜਾਕੇਜਗੈਤਾਹਿਨਦੈਰਤਿਦਾਨ॥
ਜਿਸ (ਇਸਤਰੀ) ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਜੇ ਕਾਮ ਜਾਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਜੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ,
‘If a person does not grant the benevolence of carnal fulfillment to a
ਤਵਨਪੁਰਖਕੋਡਾਰਿਯਤਜਹਾਨਰਕਕੀਖਾਨਿ॥੨੪॥
ਉਸ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਥੇ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਜਿਥੇ ਨਰਕ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ ਹੈ ॥੨੪॥
Sex desirous woman, then, (that person), deserves to be cast off into hell.(24)

ਰਾਮਜਨੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਜਨਮਬਿਧਾਤੈਮੁਹਿਦਿਯਾ॥
ਵਿਧਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
‘God gave me birth into the house of a prostitute and
ਤਵਮਿਲਬੇਹਿਤਭੇਖਜੋਗਕੋਮੈਲਿਯਾ॥
ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਜੋਗ ਦਾ ਭੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
I disguised myself into an ascetic to meet you.
ਤੁਰਤਸੇਜਹਮਰੀਅਬਆਨਿਸੁਹਾਇਯੈ॥
ਹੁਣ ਤੁਰਤ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਜ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਕਰੋ।
‘Now you be quick and adorn my bed. I am your maid,
ਹੋਹ੍ਵੈਦਾਸੀਤਵਰਹੋਂਨਮੁਹਿਤਰਸਾਇਯੈ॥੨੫॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੀ, ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਹੋਰ) ਨਾ ਤਰਸਾਓ ॥੨੫॥
Please don’t torment me.(25)

ਕਹਾਭਯੋਸੁਘਰੇਭਏਕਰਤਜੁਬਨਕੋਮਾਨ॥
ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ (ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸੁਘੜ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
‘What if you are astute? You must not be proud of your youth.
ਬਿਰਹਬਾਨਮੋਕੋਲਗੇਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਨਦੀਜੈਜਾਨ॥੨੬॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਬਾਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਬਿਰਥਾ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਓ ॥੨੬॥
‘I am afflicted with the arrow of separation, don’t let it dissipate.(26)

ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਨਦੀਜੈਜਾਨਮੈਨਬਸਿਮੈਭਈ॥
(ਸਮੇਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਅਰਥ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਓ, ਮੈਂ (ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਂ।
‘Don’t lose this opportunity I am in the grip (of Cupid)
ਬਿਰਹਿਸਮੁੰਦਕੇਬੀਚਬੂਡਿਸਿਰਲੌਗਈ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਵਿਰਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਰ ਤਕ ਡੁਬੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਾਂ।
And drowning in the sea of passion up to brim.
ਭੋਗਕਰੇਬਿਨੁਮੋਹਿਜਾਨਨਹੀਦੀਜਿਯੈ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ
‘Don’t let me drown into the dense and dark cloudy night
ਹੋਘਨਵਾਰੀਨਿਸਹੇਰਿਗੁਮਾਨਨਕੀਜਿਯੈ॥੨੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਕਾਲੀ ਰਾਤ ਰੂਪ (ਮੇਰੀ ਕਾਮ ਅਵਸਥਾ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ॥੨੭॥
Without sexual fulfilment.(27)
ਦਿਸਨਦਿਸਨਕੇਲੋਗਤਿਹਾਰੇਆਵਹੀ॥
ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
‘People come from all the directions and get their mind pleasing
ਮਨਬਾਛਤਜੋਬਾਤਉਹੈਬਰਪਾਵਹੀ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹੀ ਵਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Aspirations fulfilled, then what wrong have I done?
ਕਵਨਅਵਗ੍ਰਯਾਮੋਰਿਨਤੁਮਕਹਪਾਇਯੈ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਗੁਸਤਾਖ਼ੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਮੈਂ) ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ।
‘You cannot narrate any as (I have done nothing wrong).
ਹੋਦਾਸਨਦਾਸੀਹ੍ਵੈਹੌਸੇਜਸੁਹਾਇਯੈ॥੨੮॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦਾਸਨ ਦਾਸੀ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੀ, (ਮੇਰੀ) ਸੇਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਕਰੋ ॥੨੮॥
‘I am your slave, please come to my bed’.(28)
ਮੰਤ੍ਰਸਿਖਨਹਿਤਧਾਮਤਿਹਾਰੇਆਇਯੋ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ) ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਖਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਆਇਆ ਸਾਂ।
(The Raja said), ‘I had come to you to learn the charms
ਤੁਮਆਗੈਐਸੇਇਹਚਰਿਤਬਨਾਇਯੋ॥
ਅਗੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
But you are playing such a drama.
ਮੈਨਤੁਹਾਰੇਸੰਗਭੋਗਕ੍ਯੋਹੂੰਕਰੋ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਾਂ।
‘Why should I indulge in sex with you?
ਹੋਧਰਮਛੂਟਨਕੇਹੇਤਅਧਿਕਮਨਮੈਡਰੋ॥੨੯॥
(ਆਪਣੇ) ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨੯॥
‘By doing this, I am afraid, I will go astray of my righteous path.’ (29)
