ਤਬਯਹਮੋਨਸਾਧਿਮਨਿਬੈਠੇਅਨਤਨਖੋਜਨਧਾਵੈ॥
ਤਦ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਚੁਪ ਸਾਧ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਖੋਜਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
He sits at one place silently and does not go in search of Him at any other place
ਜਾਕੀਰੂਪਰੇਖਨਹੀਜਾਨੀਐਸਦਾਅਦ੍ਵੈਖਕਹਾਯੋ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਅਦ੍ਵੈਸ਼ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
He, who is without any form or figure and who is non-dual and garbles,
ਜਉਨਅਭੇਖਰੇਖਨਹੀਸੋਕਹੁਭੇਖਬਿਖੈਕਿਉਆਯੋ॥੯੫॥
ਜਿਸ ਅਭੇਖ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਰੇਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਦਸੋ (ਭਲਾ) ਉਹ ਭੇਖ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੫॥
How can then he be comprehended through the medium of any garb?21.95.

SARANG BY THY GRACE
ਜੇਜੇਤਿਨਮੈਹੁਤੇਸਯਾਨੇ॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਸਨ,
They accepted Parasnath the knower of the Supreme Essence
ਪਾਰਸਪਰਮਤਤਕੇਬੇਤਾਮਹਾਪਰਮਕਰਮਾਨੇ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਤੱਤ ਦਾ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ।
Those who were very wise amongst those hermits with matted locks,
ਸਬਹਨਿਸੀਸਨ੍ਯਾਇਕਰਿਜੋਰੇਇਹਬਿਧਿਸੰਗਿਬਖਾਨੇ॥
ਸਭ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਮੂੰਹ) ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹਾ,
All of them bowed their heads and folded their hands
ਜੋਜੋਗੁਰੂਕਹਾਸੋਕੀਨਾਅਉਰਹਮਕਛੂਨਜਾਨੇ॥
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ (ਦੱਤਾਤ੍ਰੇ) ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਭਿੰਨ) ਹੋਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ।
They said, “Whatever you said to us as our Guru, we shall do the same
ਸੁਨਹੋਮਹਾਰਾਜਰਾਜਨਕੇਜੋਤੁਮਬਚਨਬਖਾਨੇ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਹੇ ਹਨ (ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਸੀਂ) ਸੁਣ ਲਏ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਹਮਦਤਬਕਤ੍ਰਤੇਸੁਨਕਰਿਸਾਚਹੀਐਅਨੁਮਾਨੇ॥
(ਪਰ) ਉਹ (ਬਚਨ) ਦੱਤਾਤ੍ਰੇ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।
O Sir! Whatever you have said, the same thing we heard from the sage Dutt and have perceived the Truth
ਜਾਨੁਕਪਰਮਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਤੇਨਿਕਸੇਮਹਾਰਸਨਰਸਸਾਨੇ॥
(ਉਹ ਬਚਨ) ਰਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਿਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਮਾਨੋ ਪਰਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਹੋਣ।
ਜੋਜੋਬਚਨਭਏਇਹਮੁਖਿਤੇਸੋਸੋਸਬਹਮਮਾਨੇ॥੯੬॥
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਬਚਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੰਨ ਲਏ ਹਨ ॥੯੬॥
You have uttered these words from your tongue like the sweet ambrosia and whatever you have uttered from your mouth, we accept, all of them.22.96.

ਜੋਗੀਜੋਗੁਜਟਨਮੋਨਾਹੀ॥
ਹੇ ਜੋਗੀ! ਜੋਗ ਜਟਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
O Yogis! the Yoga does not consist in the matted locks
ਭ੍ਰਮਭ੍ਰਮਮਰਤਕਹਾਪਚਿਪਚਿਕਰਿਦੇਖਿਸਮਝਮਨਮਾਹੀ॥
ਭੌਂ ਭੌਂ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਚ ਪਚ ਕੇ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਮਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਵੇਖੋ।
You may reflect in your mind and not be puzzled in illusions
ਜੋਜਨਮਹਾਤਤਕਹੁਜਾਨੈਪਰਮਗ੍ਯਾਨਕਹੁਪਾਵੈ॥
ਜੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਹਾ ਤੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਬਯਹਏਕਠਉਰਮਨੁਰਾਖੈਦਰਿਦਰਿਭ੍ਰਮਤਨਧਾਵੈ॥
ਤਦ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਰ ਦਰ ਭਰਮਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
When the mind, comprehending the Supreme Essence, realizes the Supreme Knowledge, then it stablises at one place and does not wander and run hither and thither
ਕਹਾਭਯੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਤਜਿਉਠਿਭਾਗੇਬਨਮੈਕੀਨਨਿਵਾਸਾ॥
ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੇ ਘਰ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਬਾਹਰ ਨੂੰ) ਭਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਨਤੋਰਹਾਸਦਾਘਰਹੀਮੋਸੋਨਹੀਭਯੋਉਦਾਸਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ।
What will you gain in the forest on forsaking the domestic life, because the mind will always be thinking about home and will not be able to get detached from the world
ਅਧਿਕਪ੍ਰਪੰਚਦਿਖਾਇਆਠਗਾਜਗਜਾਨਿਜੋਗਕੋਜੋਰਾ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਪੰਚ ਵਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਠਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਜੋਗ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
You people have deceived the world through the medium of Yoga on showing the special deceit
ਤੁਮਜੀਅਲਖਾਤਜੀਹਮਮਾਯਾਮਾਯਾਤੁਮੈਨਛੋਰਾ॥੯੭॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਯਾ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮਾਯਾ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਡਿਆ ॥੯੭॥
You have believed that you have forsaken maya, but in reality, maya has not left you.23.97.

ਭੇਖੀਜੋਗਨਭੇਖਦਿਖਾਏ॥
ਹੇ ਭੇਖ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਜੋਗ ਭੇਖ ਦਿਖਾਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਹਨਜਟਾਬਿਭੂਤਨਖਨਮੈਨਾਹਿਨਬਸਤ੍ਰਰੰਗਾਏ॥
ਨਾ ਜਟਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਨਾ ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਵਿਚ, ਨਾ ਨੌਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਰੰਗਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ।
O Yogis, the believers in various guises! You are only exhibiting the outer garb, but that Lord cannot be realized by growing matted locks, by smearing ashes, by growing nails and by wearing the dyed clothes
ਜੋਬਨਿਬਸੈਜੋਗਕਹੁਪਈਐਪੰਛੀਸਦਾਬਸਤਬਨਿ॥
ਜੇ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੋਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਪੰਛੀ ਸਦਾ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
If the Yoga had been achieved by residing in the forest, then the birds always live in the forest
ਕੁੰਚਰਸਦਾਧੂਰਿਸਿਰਿਮੇਲਤਦੇਖਹੁਸਮਝਤੁਮਹੀਮਨਿ॥
(ਜੇ ਸਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਲਗਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਹਾਥੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝੋ।
In the same way the elephant always puts the dust on his body why do you not understand it in your mind?
ਦਾਦੁਰਮੀਨਸਦਾਤੀਰਥਮੋਕਰ੍ਯੋਕਰਤਇਸਨਾਨਾ॥
(ਜੇ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਪਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ) ਡੱਡੂ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਛਲੀਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
The frogs and fish always take bath at the pilgrim-stations,
ਧ੍ਰਯਾਨਬਿੜਾਲਬਕੀਬਕਲਾਵਤਤਿਨਕਿਆਜੋਗੁਪਛਾਨਾ॥
(ਜੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਗਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੋਗ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਬਿਲਾ, ਬਗਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਗਲੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਗਾਈ ਰਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The cats and cranes are always seen meditating, but still they had not recognized Yoga
ਜੈਸੇਕਸਟਠਗਨਕਰਠਾਟਤਐਸੇਹਰਿਹਿਤਕੀਜੈ॥
(ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਠੱਗਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰਿ (ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ) ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ,
The manner in which your suffer agony for deceiving the people, in the same way make effort to absorb you mind in the Lord
ਤਬਹੀਮਹਾਗ੍ਯਾਨਕੋਜਾਨੈਪਰਮਪਯੂਖਹਿਪੀਜੈ॥੯੮॥
ਤਦ ਹੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੀ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ॥੯੮॥
Only then you will realise the Supreme Essence and would be able to quaff the nectar.24.98.

ਸੁਨਿਸੁਨਿਐਸੇਬਚਨਸਿਯਾਨੇ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ
ਉਠਿਉਠਿਮਹਾਬੀਰਪਾਰਸਕੇਪਾਇਨਸੋਲਪਟਾਨੇ॥
(ਸਾਰੇ) ਮਹਾਬੀਰ ਉਠ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਪਟ ਗਏ।
Hearing such wise words all the great hermits with matted locks clung to the feet of Parasnath
ਜੇਜੇਹੁਤੇਮੂੜਅਗਿਆਨੀਤਿਨਤਿਨਬੈਨਨਮਾਨੇ॥
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੇ।
ਉਠਿਉਠਿਲਗੇਕਰਨਬਕਬਾਦਹਮੂਰਖਮੁਗਧਇਆਨੇ॥
(ਉਹ) ਮੂਰਖ, ਬੇਅਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਆਣੇ ਉਠ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਬਕਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਗ ਗਏ।
Those who were foolish and ignorant, they did not accept the words of Parasnath and those fools, getting up, began to make an argument with Parasnath
ਉਠਿਉਠਿਭਜੇਕਿਤੇਕਾਨਨਕੋਕੇਤਕਿਜਲਹਿਸਮਾਨੇ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਠ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਬਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾ ਗਏ।
Some of them arose and ran away towards the forest and some of them merged themselves in water
ਕੇਤਕਭਏਜੁਧਕਹਿਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿਸੁਨਤਸਬਦੁਘਹਰਾਨੇ॥
(ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਗਰਜਵਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਡਟ ਗਏ।
Some of them prepared themselves for fighting
ਕੇਤਕਆਨਿਆਨਿਸਨਮੁਖਿਭਏਕੇਤਕਛੋਰਿਪਰਾਨੇ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਆ ਆ ਕੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ।
Some of them came in front of the king and some of them ran away from that place
ਕੇਤਕਜੂਝਿਸੋਭੇਰਣਮੰਡਲਬਾਸਵਲੋਕਿਸਿਧਾਨੇ॥੯੯॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ॥੯੯॥
Many of them went away to heaven after fighting in the battlefield.25.99.

ਜਬਹੀਸੰਖਸਬਦਘਹਰਾਏ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀ (ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗੂੰਜੇ,
ਜੇਜੇਹੁਤੇਸੂਰਜਟਧਾਰੀਤਿਨਤਿਨਤੁਰੰਗਨਚਾਏ॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਜੋ ਜੋ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਘੋੜੇ ਨਚਾਏ।
When the conch of war was blown, then all the warriors with matted locks caused the dancing of their horses
ਚਕ੍ਰਤਭਈਗਗਨਕੀਤਰੁਨੀਦੇਵਅਦੇਵਤ੍ਰਸਾਏ॥
ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ (ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ) ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਡਰਨ ਲਗੇ।
The heavenly damsels were wonder-struck
ਨਿਰਖਤਭਯੋਸੂਰਰਥਥੰਭਤਨੈਨਨਿਮੇਖਨਲਾਏ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਦਾ ਰਥ ਖੜੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ (ਉਧਰ) ਟਿਕ ਗਈਆਂ।
The gods and demons felt agitated the sun-god stopped his chariot in order to see that war
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਅਸਤ੍ਰਨਾਨਾਬਿਧਿਛਾਡੇਬਾਣਪ੍ਰਯੋਘਚਲਾਏ॥
ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਛਡੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਥੱਬੇ ਹੀ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
He saw that various types of arms and weapons were being used in that fighting
ਮਾਨਹੁਮਾਹਮੇਘਬੂੰਦਨਜ੍ਯੋਂਬਾਣਬ੍ਰਯੂਹਬਰਸਾਏ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਘਨਘੋਰ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਣੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਵਰ੍ਹ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
The arrows were being showered like rain-drops
ਚਟਪਟਚਰਮਬਰਮਪਰਚਟਕੇਦਾਝਤਤ੍ਰਿਣਾਲਜਾਏ॥
