ਜਟੇਦੰਡਮੁੰਡੀਤਪੀਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ॥
ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ, ਦੰਡਧਾਰੀ, ਸਿਰ ਮੁੰਨੇ, ਤਪਸਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ,
ਸਧੀਸ੍ਰਾਵਗੀਬੇਦਬਿਦਿਆਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥੨੮॥
ਬੁਧੀਮਾਨ, ਸ੍ਰਾਵਗੀ (ਜੈਨੀ) ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਦ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ (ਸਦ ਲਿਆ) ॥੨੮॥
They included those with matted locks, Dandis, Mudis, ascetics, celibates, practisers and many other students and scholars of Vedic learning.28.
ਹਕਾਰੇਸਬੈਦੇਸਦੇਸਾਨਰੇਸੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ
ਬੁਲਾਏਸਬੈਮੋਨਮਾਨੀਸੁਬੇਸੰ॥
ਮੋਨੀ, ਮਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ।
The king of all the countries far and near and the silence-observing hermits were also called
ਜਟਾਧਾਰਜੇਤੇਕਹੂੰਦੇਖਪਈਯੈ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਵੀ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਵੇਖ ਲਏ,
ਬੁਲਾਵੈਤਿਸੈਨਾਥਭਾਖੈਬੁਲਈਯੈ॥੨੯॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ (ਪਾਰਸ) ਨਾਥ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੯॥
Wherever an ascetic with matted locks was seen, he was also invited with the permission of Parasnath.29.
ਫਿਰੇਸਰਬਦੇਸੰਨਰੇਸੰਬੁਲਾਵੈ॥
ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਵੇ ਫਿਰ ਗਏ।
ਮਿਲੇਨਤਿਸੈਛਤ੍ਰਛੈਣੀਛਿਨਾਵੈ॥
ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
The kings of all the countries were called and whosoever refused to meet the messengers, his canopy and the army were seixed
ਪਠੇਪਤ੍ਰਏਕੈਦਿਸਾਏਕਧਾਵੈ॥
ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਪੱਤਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ (ਬੰਦੇ) ਭਜਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਜਟੀਦੰਡਮੁੰਡੀਕਹੂੰਹਾਥਆਵੈ॥੩੦॥
ਕਿ ਜੋ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ, ਦੰਡਧਾਰੀ, ਸਿਰ ਮੁੰਨਿਆ ਕਿਧਰੋ ਹੱਥ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ, (ਲੈ ਆਓ) ॥੩੦॥
The letters and persons were sent to all directions, so that if any ascetic with matted locks, Dandi, Mundi was found, he was brought.30.
ਰਚ੍ਯੋਜਗਰਾਜਾਚਲੇਸਰਬਜੋਗੀ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਯੱਗ ਰਚਿਆ ਸੀ, ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਗੀ ਚਲੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਜਹਾਲਉਕੋਈਬੂਢਬਾਰੋਸਭੋਗੀ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਕੋਈ ਬਾਲਕ, ਬੁੱਢਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਨ ('ਭੋਗੀ') ਸੀ।
Then the king performed a Yajna, in which all the Yogis, children, old men came,
ਕਹਾਰੰਕਰਾਜਾਕਹਾਨਾਰਹੋਈ॥
ਕੀ ਰਾਜਾ, ਕੀ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ,
ਰਚ੍ਯੋਜਗਰਾਜਾਚਲਿਓਸਰਬਕੋਈ॥੩੧॥
ਸਭ ਕੋਈ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਯੱਗ ਰਚਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੩੧॥
Kings, paupers, men, women etc. all came for participation.31.
ਫਿਰੇਪਤ੍ਰਸਰਬਤ੍ਰਦੇਸੰਅਪਾਰੰ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਪਾਰ ਪੱਤਰ ਫਿਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਜੁਰੇਸਰਬਰਾਜਾਨ੍ਰਿਪੰਆਨਿਦੁਆਰੰ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਉਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਜੁੜ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
Invitations were sent to all the countries and all the kings reached at the gate of Parasnath
ਜਹਾਲੌਹੁਤੇਜਗਤਮੈਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਵੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਸਨ।
ਮਿਲੈਰੋਹਦੇਸੰਭਏਭੇਖਭਾਰੀ॥੩੨॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਭੇਖ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਹ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ ॥੩੨॥
All the ascetics with matted locks in the world, they all gathered together and reached before the king.32.
ਜਹਾਲਉਹੁਤੇਜੋਗਜੋਗਿਸਟਸਾਧੇ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਟ (ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ
ਮਲੇਮੁਖਬਿਭੂਤੰਸੁਲੰਗੋਟਬਾਧੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਤੇ ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਮਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਗੋਟ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
The practising Yogis, smeared with ashes and wearing lion-cloth and all sages resided there peacefully
ਜਟਾਸੀਸਧਾਰੇਨਿਹਾਰੇਅਪਾਰੰ॥
ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਪਾਰਾਂ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਮਹਾਜੋਗਧਾਰੰਸੁਬਿਦਿਆਬਿਚਾਰੰ॥੩੩॥
(ਉਹ) ਮਹਾਨ ਯੋਗਧਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ॥੩੩॥
Many great Yogis, scholars, and the ascetics with matted locks were seen there.33.
ਜਿਤੇਸਰਬਭੂਪੰਬੁਲੇਸਰਬਰਾਜਾ॥
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਚਹੂੰਚਕਮੋਦਾਨਨੀਸਾਨਬਾਜਾ॥
ਚੌਹਾਂ ਚੱਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵਜ ਗਏ।
All the kings were invited by Parasnath and in all the four directions, he became famous as a donor
ਮਿਲੇਦੇਸਦੇਸਾਨਅਨੇਕਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ॥
ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ
ਕਰੈਸਾਧਨਾਜੋਗਬਾਜੰਤ੍ਰਤੰਤ੍ਰੀ॥੩੪॥
ਜੋ ਯੋਗ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ (ਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ) ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੩੪॥
Many ministers of the countries gathered there, the musical instruments of the practising Yogis were played there.34.
ਜਿਤੇਸਰਬਭੂਮਿਸਥਲੀਸੰਤਆਹੇ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਨ,
ਤਿਤੇਸਰਬਪਾਰਸਨਾਥੰਬੁਲਾਏ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਸਨਾਥ ਨੇ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
All the saints who had come at that place, they were all called by Prasnath
ਦਏਭਾਤਿਅਨੇਕਭੋਜਅਰਘਦਾਨੰ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਘ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਲਜੀਪੇਖਦੇਵਿਸਥਲੀਮੋਨਮਾਨੰ॥੩੫॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਵਰਗ ('ਦੇਵ ਸਥਲੀ') ਵੀ ਲਜਾ ਗਈ ॥੩੫॥
He served them with various types of food and bestowed charities on them, seeing which the abode of the gods felt shy.35.
ਕਰੈਬੈਠਕੇਬੇਦਬਿਦਿਆਬਿਚਾਰੰ॥
(ਸਾਰੇ) ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੋਸਬੈਆਪੁਆਪੰਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜੁਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
All sitting there held consultations in their own way regarding Vedic learning
ਟਕੰਟਕਲਾਗੀਮੁਖੰਮੁਖਿਪੇਖਿਓ॥
ਇਕ ਟਕ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। (ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ) ਮੁਖ ਵਲ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਸੁਨ੍ਯੋਕਾਨਹੋਤੋਸੁਤੋਆਖਿਦੇਖਿਓ॥੩੬॥
ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ॥੩੬॥
All of them saw pointedly towards one another and whatever they had heard earlier with their ears, on that day they saw it there with their own eyes.36.
ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੋਸਬੈਆਪਆਪੰਪੁਰਾਣੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ
ਰੜੋਦੇਸਿਦੇਸਾਣਬਿਦਿਆਮੁਹਾਣੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਾਰਨੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਸਨ।
All of them opened up their Puranas and began to study their country’s lore
ਕਰੋਭਾਤਿਭਾਤੰਸੁਬਿਦਿਆਬਿਚਾਰੰ॥
ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਭੈਚਿਤਦੈਕੈਮਹਾਤ੍ਰਾਸਟਾਰੰ॥੩੭॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਟਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੭॥
They began to reflect fearlessly on their lore in various ways.37.
ਜੁਰੇਬੰਗਸੀਰਾਫਿਜੀਰੋਹਿਰੂਮੀ॥
ਬੰਗ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ, ਰਾਫ਼ਜ਼ੀ, ਰੋਹ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਮ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ
ਚਲੇਬਾਲਖੀਛਾਡਕੈਰਾਜਭੂਮੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਲਖ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਸਨ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਭੈਭਿੰਭਰੀਕਾਸਮੀਰੀਕੰਧਾਰੀ॥
ਭਿੰਭਰ ਦੇਸ ਵਾਲੇ, ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਧਾਰੀ,
ਕਿਕੈਕਾਲਮਾਖੀਕਸੇਕਾਸਕਾਰੀ॥੩੮॥
ਕਾਲਮਾਖੀ, ਕਾਸਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਖਿਚ ਲਏ ਸਨ ॥੩੮॥
There were gathered there the residents of Bang country, rafzi, Rohelas, Sami, Balakshi, Kashmiri, Kandhari and several Kal-mukhi Snnyasis.38.
ਜੁਰੇਦਛਣੀਸਸਤ੍ਰਬੇਤਾਅਰਯਾਰੇ॥
ਦੱਖਣ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦੀ, ਔਖੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਿਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ
ਦ੍ਰੁਜੈਦ੍ਰਾਵੜੀਤਪਤਤਈਲੰਗਵਾਰੇ॥
ਦ੍ਰਾਵੜ ਦੇਸ ਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਤੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਤਿਲੰਗ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ,
The southern scholars of Shastras and the Dravidian and Telangi Savants has also gathered there
ਪਰੰਪੂਰਬੀਉਤ੍ਰਦੇਸੀਅਪਾਰੰ॥
ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅਪਾਰ
ਮਿਲੇਦੇਸਦੇਸੇਣਜੋਧਾਜੁਝਾਰੰ॥੩੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੁਝਾਰੂ ਯੋਧੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ ॥੩੯॥
Alongwith them there were gathered warriors of Eastern and Northern countries.39.
