ਸੁਨੋਭੂਪਇਕਕਹੋਂਕਹਾਨੀ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਇਕ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਏਕਪੁਰਖਉਪਜ੍ਯੋਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ) ਇਕ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
“O king! Listen, we tell you an episode
ਜਿਹਸਮਰੂਪਜਗਤਨਹੀਕੋਈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਏਕੈਘੜਾਬਿਧਾਤਾਸੋਈ॥੫॥
(ਉਸ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ) ਵਿਧਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਇਕੋ (ਉਸੇ) ਨੂੰ ਘੜਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
A very proud person has been born and there is none so beautiful like him it seems that the Lord (Providence) Himself had created him.5.
ਕੈਗੰਧ੍ਰਬਜਛਕੋਈਅਹਾ॥
(ਉਹ) ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਯਕਸ਼ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਨੁਕਦੂਸਰਭਾਨੁਚੜਰਹਾ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
“Either he is a Yaksha or Gandharva it appears that a second sun has arisen
ਅਤਿਜੋਬਨਝਮਕਤਤਿਹਅੰਗਾ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜੋਬਨ ਝਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਿਰਖਤਜਾਕੇਲਜਤਅਨੰਗਾ॥੬॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
His body is gleaming with youth and seeing him, even the god of love is feeling shy.”6.
ਭੂਪਤਿਦੇਖਨਕਾਜਬੁਲਾਵਾ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਪਹਿਲੇਦ੍ਯੋਸਸਾਥਚਲਆਵਾ॥
ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ (ਬੁਲਾਉਣ ਗਏ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
The king called him in order to see him and he (Parasnath) came on the very first day with the messengers
ਹਰਖਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਧਰਕੇਜਟਧਾਰੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਏ (ਪਰ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਧੜਕਣ ਲਗੇ।
ਜਾਨੁਕਦੁਤੀਦਤਅਵਤਾਰੀ॥੭॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ) ਮਾਨੋ ਦੱਤ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੭॥
The king was pleased in his heart on seeing him wearing matted locks and it appeared to him that he was the second incarnation of Dutt.7.
ਨਿਰਖਰੂਪਕਾਪੇਜਟਧਾਰੀ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਕੰਬਣ ਲਗ ਪਏ
ਯਹਕੋਊਭਯੋਪੁਰਖੁਅਵਤਾਰੀ॥
(ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚਣ ਲਗੇ) ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Seeing his figure the sages wearing matted locks trembled and thought he was some incarnation,
ਯਹਮਤਦੂਰਹਮਾਰਾਕੈਹੈ॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਤ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ
ਜਟਾਧਾਰਕੋਈਰਹੈਨਪੈਹੈ॥੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਗਾ ॥੮॥
who will finish their religion and no person with matted locks will survive.8.
ਤੇਜਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਨਿਰਖਿਤਬਰਾਜਾ॥
ਤਦ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਤੇਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ
ਅਤਿਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਪੁਲਕਤਚਿਤਗਾਜਾ॥
ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ (ਸ਼ਰੀਰ) ਰੋਮਾਂਚਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
The king, seeing the impact of his glory, was extremely pleased
ਜਿਹਜਿਹਾਲਖਾਰਹੇਬਿਸਮਾਈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਵਿਸਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ।
ਜਾਨੁਕਰੰਕਨਵੋਨਿਧਪਾਈ॥੯॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ) ਮਾਨੋ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਨੇ ਨੌਂ ਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੯॥
Whosoever saw him, he was pleased like one pauper obtaining nine treasures.9.
ਮੋਹਨਜਾਲਸਭਨਸਿਰਡਾਰਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਾਲ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਚੇਟਕਬਾਨਚਕ੍ਰਿਤਹ੍ਵੈਮਾਰਾ॥
(ਜਾਂ ਇੰਜ ਕਹੋ) ਕੌਤਕ ('ਚੇਟਕ') ਬਾਨ ਮਾਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
He put his net of allurement on all and all were getting succumbed in wonder
ਜਹਤਹਮੋਹਿਸਕਲਨਰਗਿਰੇ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ।
ਜਾਨਸੁਭਟਸਾਮੁਹਿਰਣਭਿਰੇ॥੧੦॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਭਿੜ ਕੇ (ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਹੋਣ) ॥੧੦॥
All the people getting fascinated fell down here and there like the warriors falling in battle.10.
ਨਰਨਾਰੀਜਿਹਜਿਹਤਿਹਪੇਖਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
ਤਿਹਤਿਹਮਦਨਰੂਪਅਵਿਰੇਖਾ॥
ਉਸ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
The man or woman, who saw him, considered him s the god of love
ਸਾਧਨਸਰਬਸਿਧਿਕਰਜਾਨਾ॥
ਸਾਧਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣਿਆ
ਜੋਗਨਜੋਗਰੂਪਅਨੁਮਾਨਾ॥੧੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਗ ਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੧੧॥
The hermits considered him as an adept and the Yogis as a great Yogi.11.
ਨਿਰਖਿਰੂਪਰਨਵਾਸਲੁਭਾਨਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਰਣਵਾਸ ਲੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਦੇਤਿਹਸੁਤਾਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਮਨਿਮਾਨਾ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੜਕੀ (ਵਿਆਹ) ਦਿਆਂ।
The group of queens was allured on seeing him and the king also decided to marry his daughter with him
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੋਭਯੋਜਬੈਜਾਮਾਤਾ॥
ਜਦ ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਈ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
ਮਹਾਧਨੁਖਧਰਬੀਰਬਿਖ੍ਯਾਤਾ॥੧੨॥
(ਤਦ) ਮਹਾਨ ਧਨੁਸ਼ਧਾਰੀ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧੨॥
When he became the son-in-law of the king, then he became famous as a great archer.12.
ਮਹਾਰੂਪਅਰੁਅਮਿਤਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੂ॥
(ਉਹ) ਮਹਾਨ ਰੂਪ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।
ਜਾਨੁਜਪੈਹੈਆਪਨਜਾਪੂ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ) ਮਾਨੋ (ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਵਾਏਗਾ।
That extremely beautiful and infinitely glorious persons was absorbed within himself
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਬੇਤਾਸੁਰਿਗ੍ਯਾਨਾ॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਬ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ
ਜਾਸਮਪੰਡਿਤਜਗਤਿਨਆਨਾ॥੧੩॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ॥੧੩॥
He was expert in the knowledge of Shastras and weapons and there was no Pandit like him in the world.13.
ਥੋਰਿਬਹਿਕ੍ਰਮਬੁਧਿਬਿਸੇਖਾ॥
ਆਯੂ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਥੋੜੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਨੁਕਧਰਾਬਿਤਨਯਹਿਭੇਖਾ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ('ਬਿਤਨ') ਨੇ ਇਹ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
He was like a Yaksha in human garb, not being troubled by the outer afflictions
ਜਿਹਜਿਹਰੂਪਤਵਨਕਾਲਹਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
ਸੋਸੋਚਮਕਚਕ੍ਰਿਹੁਐਰਹਾ॥੧੪॥
ਉਹ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੪॥
Whosoever saw his beauty, he was wonder-struck and duped.14.

SWAYYA
ਮਾਨਭਰੇਸਰਸਾਨਧਰੇਮਠਸਾਨਚੜੇਅਸਿਸ੍ਰੋਣਤਿਸਾਏ॥
(ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਰ) ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਸਾਣ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੀਰ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਮੱਠੀ ਸਾਣ ਉਤੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਸੀ ਹੈ।
He was glorious like the sword saturated with marrow
ਲੇਤਹਰੇਜਿਹਡੀਠਪਰੇਨਹੀਫੇਰਿਫਿਰੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਜਾਨਨਪਾਏ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ) ਹਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ) ਨਜ਼ਰ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਉਹ) ਫਿਰ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ।
Whomsoever he saw, he could not go back to his home
ਝੀਮਝਰੇਜਨਸੇਲਹਰੇਇਹਭਾਤਿਗਿਰੇਜਨੁਦੇਖਨਆਏ॥
ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਆਏ ਹਨ, (ਉਹ) ਘੁੰਮੇਰੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਬਰਛੇ ਦੇ ਸਲ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣ।
He, who came to see him he fell down swinging on the earth, whomsoever he saw, he was inflicted with the arrows of the god of love,
ਜਾਸੁਹਿਰੇਸੋਊਮੈਨਘਿਰੇਗਿਰਭੂਮਿਪਰੇਨਉਠੰਤਉਠਾਏ॥੧੫॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਾਮ ਦੀ (ਫਾਹੀ ਵਿਚ) ਫਸਿਆ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਠਾਇਆਂ ਉਠਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
He fell down there and writhed and could not get up to go.1.15.
ਸੋਭਤਜਾਨੁਸੁਧਾਸਰਸੁੰਦਰਕਾਮਕੇਮਾਨਹੁਕੂਪਸੁਧਾਰੇ॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ (ਨੇਤਰ) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣ।
It seemed that the store of lust had been opened and Parasnath looked splendid like the moon
ਲਾਜਿਕੇਜਾਨਜਹਾਜਬਿਰਾਜਤਹੇਰਤਹੀਹਰਲੇਤਹਕਾਰੇ॥
(ਜਾਂ) ਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹਨ, (ਜਾਂ) ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Even if there were ships stored with shyness and he allured everyone only on seeing
ਹਉਚਹੁਕੁੰਟਭ੍ਰਮ੍ਯੋਖਗਜ੍ਯੋਂਇਨਕੇਸਮਰੂਪਨਨੈਕੁਨਿਹਾਰੇ॥
ਮੈਂ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਘੁੰਮਿਆ ਹਾਂ, (ਪਰ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
In all the four directions, the persons like wandering birds were saying this that they had seen none so beautiful like him
