ਤਿਨਿਚਉਬਿਸੈਫਲਹੀਨ॥
ਉਹ ਚੌਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਤੋਂ ਸਖਣੇ ਹਨ।
He, who not recognized the One Lord, the twenty-four are fruitless for him
ਜਿਨਏਕਕੋਪਹਿਚਾਨ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਤਿਨਿਚਉਬਿਸੈਰਸਮਾਨ॥੪੮੧॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੌਵੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੪੮੧॥
He, who feels the presence of One and recognizes him, he can feel the happiness of the twenty-four.481.

ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਦ ਛੰਦ:
VICHITRA PAD STANZA
ਏਕਹਿਜਉਮਨਿਆਨਾ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਦੂਸਰਭਾਵਨਜਾਨਾ॥
ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਵੈਤ ਭਾਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਦੁੰਦਭਿਦਉਰਬਜਾਏ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਜ਼ਮਾਨੇ ('ਦਉਰ') ਵਿਚ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵਜਾਏ ਹਨ
ਫੂਲਸੁਰਨਬਰਖਾਏ॥੪੮੨॥
(ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ) ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੮੨॥
The sage absorbed his mind in the One Lord and did not allow any other idea to enter his mind, then the gods showered flowers, beating their drums.482.
ਹਰਖੇਸਬਜਟਧਾਰੀ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ (ਯੋਗੀ) ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ
ਗਾਵਤਦੇਦੇਤਾਰੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਤਾੜੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The sages, getting delighted, clapped their hands and began to sing
ਜਿਤਤਿਤਡੋਲਤਫੂਲੇ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ (ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ) ਫੁਲੇ ਘੁੰਮਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੇਸਬਦੁਖਭੂਲੇ॥੪੮੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖ ਭੁਲ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੪੮੩॥
They forgot their domestic worries and moved here and there happily.483.

ਬਹੁਬਰਖਜਬੈਤਪਸਾਤਿਹਕੀਨੀ॥
ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤਕ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ
ਗੁਰਦੇਵਕ੍ਰਿਆਜੁਕਹੀਧਰਲੀਨੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਕਹੀ ਸੀ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
In this way, when the sages performed austerities for many years and did all according to the bidding of their Guru
ਤਬਨਾਥਸਨਾਥਹੁਐਬ੍ਯੋਤਬਤਾਈ॥
ਤਦ ਨਾਥ ਨੇ ਜੁਗਤ ਦਸ ਕੇ ਸਨਾਥ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਤਬਹੀਦਸਓਦਿਸਿਸੂਝਬਨਾਈ॥੪੮੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ) ॥੪੮੪॥
The great sage told them many methods and in this way, they obtained the wisdom of knowledge of all the ten directions.484.
ਦਿਜਦੇਵਤਬੈਗੁਰਚਉਬਿਸਕੈਕੈ॥
ਤਦ (ਉਹ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੇਵਤਾ (ਦੱਤ) ਚੌਬੀਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ
ਗਿਰਿਮੇਰਗਏਸਭਹੀਮੁਨਿਲੈਕੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉਤੇ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
In this way, the sage adopting twenty-four Gurus, went on the Sumeru mountain alongwith other sages
ਤਪਸਾਜਬਘੋਰਤਹਾਤਿਨਕੀਨੀ॥
ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਥੇ ਘੋਰ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ,
ਗੁਰਦੇਵਤਬੈਤਿਹਯਾਸਿਖਦੀਨੀ॥੪੮੫॥
ਤਦ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੪੮੫॥
There he performed severe austerities and then the Guru Dutt, gave these instructions to all of them.485.

ਗਿਰਿਮੇਰੁਗਏਰਿਖਿਬਾਲਕਲੈ॥
ਰਿਸ਼ੀ (ਦੱਤ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉਤੇ ਗਏ,
ਧਰਸੀਸਜਟਾਭਗਵੇਪਟਕੈ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
The sage having matted locks on his head and wearing ochre-coloured clothed on his body, went on the Sumeru mountain alongwith his disciples
ਤਪਘੋਰਕਰਾਬਹੁਬਰਖਦਿਨਾ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤਕ (ਉਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਘੋਰ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ
ਹਰਿਜਾਪਨਛੋਰਸਏਕਛਿਨਾ॥੪੮੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛਡਿਆ ॥੪੮੬॥
There he performed austerities in various for many years and did not forget the Lord even for an instant.486.
ਦਸਲਛਸੁਬੀਸਸਹੰਸ੍ਰਬ੍ਰਖੰ॥
ਦਸ ਲਖ ਅਤੇ ਵੀਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਤਕ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ
ਤਪਕੀਨਤਹਾਬਹੁਭਾਤਿਰਿਖੰ॥
ਉਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ।
There the sages performed austerities in various ways for ten lakh twenty thousand years
ਸਬਦੇਸਨਦੇਸਚਲਾਇਮਤੰ॥
ਸਭ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਮਤ ਚਲਾਇਆ।
ਮੁਨਿਦੇਵਮਹਾਮਤਿਗੂੜਗਤੰ॥੪੮੭॥
ਮਹਾ ਮੁਨੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਗਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ॥੪੮੭॥
Then they propagated the secret doctrines of that great sage in all the countries far and near.487.
ਰਿਖਿਰਾਜਦਸਾਜਬਅੰਤਭਈ॥
ਜਦ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਅੰਤ-ਦਸ਼ਾ ਆ ਗਈ,
ਬਲਜੋਗਹੁਤੇਮੁਨਿਜਾਨਲਈ॥
(ਤਦ) ਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ) ਜਾਣ ਲਈ।
When the final hour of that great sage arrived, the great sage came to know of it with the strength of Yoga
ਧੂਅਰੋਜਗਧਉਲੁਰਜਾਨਿਜਟੀ॥
ਮੁਨੀ ਯੋਗੀ ('ਜਟੀ') ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਧੂੰਏ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ।
ਕਛੁਅਉਰਕ੍ਰਿਆਇਹਭਾਤਿਠਟੀ॥੪੮੮॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ॥੪੮੮॥
Then that sage with matted locks, considering this world like a cloud of smoke, formulated a plan of another activity.488.
ਸਧਿਕੈਪਵਨੈਰਿਖਜੋਗਬਲੰ॥
ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਤੇ ਪਵਨ (ਸੁਆਸ) ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਲਿਆ
ਤਜਿਚਾਲਕਲੇਵਰਭੂਮਿਤਲੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤਲ ਉਤੇ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਚਲਦੇ ਬਣੇ।
Controlling the wind with the strength of Yoga, relinquishing his body left the earth
ਕਲਫੋਰਿਉਤਾਲਕਪਾਲਕਲੀ॥
ਦਸਮ ਦੁਆਰ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਕਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੋੜ ਕੇ
ਤਿਹਜੋਤਿਸੁਜੋਤਿਹਮਧਮਿਲੀ॥੪੮੯॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਹਾਨ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ॥੪੮੯॥
Breaking the skull, his light of the soul merged in the supreme light of the Lord.489.
ਕਲਕਾਲਕ੍ਰਵਾਲਕਰਾਲਲਸੈ॥
ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੰਦਰ ('ਕਲ') ਭਿਆਨਕ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਗਜੰਗਮਥਾਵਰਸਰਬਕਸੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਲ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The KAL (death) streches his dreadful sword always o all categories of beings
ਜਗਕਾਲਹਿਜਾਲਬਿਸਾਲਰਚਾ॥
ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਜਾਲ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
ਜਿਹਬੀਚਫਸੇਬਿਨਕੋਨਬਚਾ॥੪੯੦॥
ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੪੯੦॥
It has created the large net of this world, from which none had been able to escape.490.

ਦੇਸਬਿਦੇਸਨਰੇਸਨਜੀਤਿਅਨੇਸਬਡੇਅਵਨੇਸਸੰਘਾਰੇ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਜਿਤ ਲਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ('ਅਨੇਸ') ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ('ਅਵਨੇਸ') ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ।
ਆਠੋਈਸਿਧਸਬੈਨਵਨਿਧਿਸਮ੍ਰਿਧਨਸਰਬਭਰੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਾਰੇ॥
ਅੱਠਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਨੌਂ ਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਨਾਲ ਘਰ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
This KAL (death) has killed the great sovereigns of all the countries and the earth, who had eight powers, nine treasures, all kinds of accomplishments
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮੁਖੀਬਨਿਤਾਬਹੁਤੈਘਰਿਮਾਲਭਰੇਨਹੀਜਾਤਸੰਭਾਰੇ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਵਰਗੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ (ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ) ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਘਰ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਸੰਭਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
Moon-faced women and unlimited wealth
ਨਾਮਬਿਹੀਨਅਧੀਨਭਏਜਮਅੰਤਿਕੋਨਾਗੇਹੀਪਾਇਸਿਧਾਰੇ॥੪੯੧॥
(ਉਹ) ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਣੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯਮ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ (ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਨੰਗੇ ਪੈਰ ਹੀ ਗਏ ॥੪੯੧॥
They all left this world with naked feet under the control of Yama, without the remembrance of the Name of the Lord.491.
ਰਾਵਨਕੇਮਹਿਰਾਵਨਕੇਮਨੁਕੇਨਲਕੇਚਲਤੇਨਚਲੀਗਉ॥
ਰਾਵਨ ਦੇ, ਮਹਿਰਾਵਨ ਦੇ, ਮਨੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ, ਨਲ ਦੇ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਨਾਲ (ਮੈਂ-ਭਾਵ ਦੁਨੀਆ) ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ।
Even Ravan and Mehravan were helpless before him
