ਦੇਸਦੇਸਨਕੇਸਬੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਆਨਿਕੈਤਹਿਠਉਰ॥
ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ
ਜਾਨਿਪਾਨਪਰੈਸਬੈਗੁਰੁਦਤਸ੍ਰੀਸਰਮਉਰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਮੌਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੱਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰਨੀਂ ਆ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
The kings of various countries from far and near fell at the feet of the supreme Guru Dutt at that place
ਤਿਆਗਿਅਉਰਨਏਮਤਿਏਕਹੀਮਤਿਠਾਨ॥
ਹੋਰ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਇਕ (ਦੱਤ ਵਾਲਾ) ਮੱਤ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
They all abandoned the new sects and joined the one sect of Yoga
ਆਨਿਮੂੰਡਮੁੰਡਾਤਭੇਸਭਰਾਜਪਾਟਨਿਧਾਨ॥੧੩੫॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਠਾਠਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਵਾ ਲਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੫॥
They abandoned their royal responsibilities and came to get done their tonsure ceremony.135.
ਆਨਿਆਨਿਲਗੇਸਬੈਪਗਜਾਨਿਕੈਗੁਰਦੇਵ॥
(ਦੱਤ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇਵ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਆ ਆ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਸਬੈਭ੍ਰਿਤਾਬਰਅਨੰਤਰੂਪਅਭੇਵ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਅਭੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਤ (ਦੱਤ ਪਾਸ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ)।
All of them, considering him as the Supreme Guru, came to bow at his feet and Dutt was also the great purusha comprehending the secret of weapons and Shastras
ਅਛਿਦਗਾਤਅਛਿਜਰੂਪਅਭਿਦਜੋਗਦੁਰੰਤ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਅਣਛਿਜ ਅਤੇ ਅਛਿਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਜਿਸ ਦੇ) ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਪਾਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ।
His body was invincible, the form indestructible and he had achieved oneness in Yoga
ਅਮਿਤਉਜਲਅਜਿਤਪਰਮਉਪਜਿਓਸੁਦਤਮਹੰਤ॥੧੩੬॥
(ਜੋ) ਅਮਿਤ, ਉਜਲਾ, ਅਜਿਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਦੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੬॥
He has manifested himself in the form of unlimited, lustrous and unconquerable power.136.
ਪੇਖਿਰੂਪਚਕੇਚਰਾਚਰਸਰਬਬ੍ਯੋਮਬਿਮਾਨ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚਰ ਅਚਰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ (ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਬਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ (ਵਿਚ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ)।
The animate and inanimate creation and the gods of heaven, were wonder-struck on seeing his figure and
ਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਰਹੇਨਰਾਧਪਚਿਤ੍ਰਰੂਪਸਮਾਨ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਦੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਚਿਤਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
The kings looked splendid like the pretty portraits here and there
ਅਤ੍ਰਛਤ੍ਰਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਕੋਤਜਿਜੋਗਲੈਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸ॥
ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ, ਛਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਯੋਗ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
They all had forsaken their arms and canopies, had been initiated into Sannyas and Yoga and
ਆਨਿਆਨਿਕਰੈਲਗੇਹ੍ਵੈਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਉਦਾਸ॥੧੩੭॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਗ ਉਦਾਸ (ਵਿਰਕਤ) ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆ ਆ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਕਰਨ) ਲਗ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੭॥
Had come to him as ascetics from all directions and were there at his feet.137.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਉਪਿੰਦ੍ਰਚਕੇਸਬੈਚਿਤਚਉਕਿਯੋਸਸਿਭਾਨੁ॥
ਇੰਦਰ, ਉਪਿੰਦਰ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵੀ ਚੌਂਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Indra, Upendra, Surya, Chandra etc. all marveled in their mind and
ਲੈਨਦਤਛਨਾਇਆਜਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਮੋਰਮਹਾਨ॥
(ਇੰਦਰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਅਜ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੱਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਹ ਨਾ ਲਏ।
Were thinking that the great Dutt may not seize their kingdom
ਰੀਝਰੀਝਰਹੇਜਹਾਤਹਾਸਰਬਬ੍ਯੋਮਬਿਮਾਨ॥
ਸਾਰੇ (ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਬਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ
All were getting pleased in the sky, sitting in their vehicles and
ਜਾਨਜਾਨਸਬੈਪਰੇਗੁਰਦੇਵਦਤਮਹਾਨ॥੧੩੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂਦੇਵ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੮॥
Were considering Dutt as the great Guru.138.
ਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਦਿਸਾਵਿਸਾਨ੍ਰਿਪਰਾਜਸਾਜਬਿਸਾਰ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ
ਆਨਿਆਨਿਸਬੋਗਹੇਪਗਦਤਦੇਵਉਦਾਰ॥
ਆ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਦਾਰ ਦੱਤ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Here and there, in all the directions, the kings, forgetting their royal responsibilities, had caught the feet of the supremely generous Dutt
ਜਾਨਿਜਾਨਿਸੁਧਰਮਕੋਘਰਮਾਨਿਕੈਗੁਰਦੇਵ॥
(ਦੱਤ ਨੂੰ) ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂਦੇਵ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ,
Considering him as the treasure of dharma and the great Guru,
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਮਾਨਸਬੈਲਗੇਮਨਛਾਡਿਕੈਅਹੰਮੇਵ॥੧੩੯॥
ਮਨ ਦੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸਹਿਤ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੯॥
All had abandoned their ego and had dedicated themselves affectionately in his service.139.
ਰਾਜਸਾਜਸਬੈਤਜੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਭੇਸਕੈਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The kings had worn the garb of Sannyas and Yoga, leaving their royal responsibilities and
ਆਨਿਜੋਗਕਰੈਲਗੇਹ੍ਵੈਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਉਦਾਸ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਹਨ।
Becoming unattached, they had begun the practice of Yoga
ਮੰਡਿਅੰਗਿਬਿਭੂਤਉਜਲਸੀਸਜੂਟਜਟਾਨ॥
ਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਮਲ ਕੇ ਉਜਲੇ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੂੜਾ (ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ)।
Smearing their bodies with ashes and wearing matted locks on their heads,
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਨਸੌਸੁਭੇਸਭਰਾਜਪਾਟਨਿਧਾਨ॥੧੪੦॥
ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਠਾਠਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੪੦॥
Various types of kings had gathered there.140.
ਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਬਿਸਾਰਿਸੰਪਤਿਪੁਤ੍ਰਮਿਤ੍ਰਕਲਤ੍ਰ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ (ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਿਤਰ, ਇਸਤਰੀ, ਸੰਪੱਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ
All the kings, leaving their property, wealth, son friends and the attachment of he queens,
ਭੇਸਲੈਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਕੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਛਾਡਿਕੈਜਯਪਤ੍ਰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਵਿਜੈ-ਪੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Their honours and victories, they adopted Sannyas and Yoga and have come there
ਬਾਜਰਾਜਸਮਾਜਸੁੰਦਰਛਾਡਕੇਗਜਰਾਜ॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ,
They came and sat there as ascetics here and there gathering together from all directions,
ਆਨਿਆਨਿਬਸੇਮਹਾਬਨਿਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਉਦਾਸ॥੧੪੧॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਉਦਾਸ (ਵਿਰਕਤ) ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਹਾ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵਸੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੪੧॥
Leaving behind elephants and horses and their fine society.141.

ਇਹਭਾਤਿਸਰਬਛਿਤਕੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਛੇਤੀ
ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਜੋਗਲਾਗੇਉਤਾਲ॥
ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ।
In this way, all the kings of the earth immediately joined the path of Sannyas and Yoga
ਇਕਕਰੈਲਾਗਿਨਿਵਲਿਆਦਿਕਰਮ॥
ਇਕ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਉਲੀ ਆਦਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਗ ਗਏ ਹਨ
ਇਕਧਰਤਧਿਆਨਲੈਬਸਤ੍ਰਚਰਮ॥੧੪੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੰਮ ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੪੨॥
Someone performed the Neoli Karma (purging of insestines) and someone wearing the garments of hide, was absorbed in meditation.142.
ਇਕਧਰਤਬਸਤ੍ਰਬਲਕਲਨਅੰਗਿ॥
ਇਕਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਛਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ
ਇਕਰਹਤਕਲਪਇਸਥਿਤਉਤੰਗ॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਕਲਪ (ਜਿੰਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਂਹ) ਉੱਚੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹਨ।
Someone is wearing the garments of a recluse and someone is standing straight with a special notion
ਇਕਕਰਤਅਲਪਦੁਗਧਾਅਹਾਰ॥
ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਆਹਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਇਕਰਹਤਬਰਖਬਹੁਨਿਰਾਹਾਰ॥੧੪੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੪੩॥
Someone subsists only on milk and someone abides without eating and srinking.143.
ਇਕਰਹਤਮੋਨਮੋਨੀਮਹਾਨ॥
ਇਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਮੋਨੀ ਚੁਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਕਕਰਤਨ੍ਯਾਸਤਜਿਖਾਨਪਾਨ॥
ਇਕ ਖਾਣਾ ਪੀਣਾ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those great saints observed silence and many practiced Yoga without eating and drinking
ਇਕਰਹਤਏਕਪਗਨਿਰਾਧਾਰ॥
ਇਕ (ਕੇਵਲ) ਇਕ ਪੈਰ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਧਾਰ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਕਬਸਤਗ੍ਰਾਮਕਾਨਨਪਹਾਰ॥੧੪੪॥
ਇਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਚ, ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੪੪॥
Many stood on one foot without and support and many resided in villages, forests and mountains.144.
ਇਕਕਰਤਕਸਟਕਰਧੂਮ੍ਰਪਾਨ॥
ਇਕ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਲ ਧੂਮਰ-ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਕਕਰਤਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਨਸਨਾਨ॥
ਇਕ ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Many taking in smoke endured suffering and many took baths of different kinds
ਇਕਰਹਤਇਕਪਗਜੁਗਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ॥
ਇਕ (ਕੇਵਲ) ਇਕ ਪੈਰ ਉਤੇ ਯੁਗ (ਜਿੰਨੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤਕ ਖੜੋਤੇ) ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਈਊਰਧਬਾਹਮੁਨਿਮਨਮਹਾਨ॥੧੪੫॥
ਕਈ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੫॥
Many stood on their foot for ages and many great sages turned their arms upwards.145.
ਇਕਰਹਤਬੈਠਿਜਲਿਮਧਿਜਾਇ॥
ਇਕ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਕਤਪਤਆਗਿਊਰਧਜਰਾਇ॥
ਇਕ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਬੜ ਬਾਲ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸੇਕ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Someone sat down in water and many made themselves warm by burning fire
ਇਕਕਰਤਨ੍ਯਾਸਬਹੁਬਿਧਿਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ॥
ਇਕ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੋਗ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
