ਚਿਤੰਤਾਸਚੀਨੋਸਹੀਦਿਰਬਪਾਲੰ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਹੀ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਸਮਝੋ
ਉਠੈਜਉਨਕੇਰੂਪਕੀਜ੍ਵਾਲਮਾਲੰ॥੬੭॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿਣਗਾਂ ਉਠਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੬੭॥
O princess! see that king, the master of riches, from whose body the fires of beauty are arising.”67.
ਸਭੈਭੂਪਠਾਢੇਜਹਾਰਾਜਕੰਨਿਆ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਉਥੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ (ਗਈ)
ਬਿਖੈਭੂਤਲੰਰੂਪਜਾਕੇਨਅੰਨਿਆ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਰਗੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
Where there was the princess, all the kings were standing there
ਬਡੇਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀਬਡੇਗਰਬਕੀਨੇ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ, ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ,
ਤਹਾਆਨਿਠਾਢੇਬਡੀਸੈਨਲੀਨੇ॥੬੮॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਥੇ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ॥੬੮॥
There was none other so beautiful on the earth many egoistic canopied kings, taking their armies with them, came and stood there.68.
ਨਦੀਸੰਗਜਾਕੇਸਬੈਰੂਪਧਾਰੇ॥
(ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ) ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਆਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਸਬੈਸਿੰਧਸੰਗੰਚੜੇਤੇਜਵਾਰੇ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੇਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਹਨ।
“He, form whom the streams adopt the glory of their comeliness and from whom the oceans also spring up, not enduring His brilliance
ਬਡੀਕਾਇਜਾਕੀਮਹਾਰੂਪਸੋਹੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਰੂਪ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੈ।
ਲਖੇਦੇਵਕੰਨਿਆਨਕੇਮਾਨਮੋਹੈ॥੬੯॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਨਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਮੋਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੯॥
He, whose body is very big and whose beauty is magnificent and seeing whom, the heavenly maidens get allured.69.
ਕਹੋਨਾਰਤੋਕੌਇਹੈਬਰੁਨਰਾਜਾ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹੀ ਵਰੁਣ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਸੈਪੇਖਿਰਾਜਾਨਕੋਮਾਨਭਾਜਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਟੁਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
“O princess! All those different kings have come here seeing whom the pride of the kings is shattered
ਕਹਾਲੌਬਖਾਨੋਜਿਤੇਭੂਪਆਏ॥
ਕਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਾਂ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਕੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ।
ਸਬੈਬਾਲਕੌਲੈਭਵਾਨੀਬਤਾਏ॥੭੦॥
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਸ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੭੦॥
To what extent should I describe those kings who have come here?” That goddess showed the princess all those kings.70.

ਆਨਿਜੁਰੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਮੰਡਲਜੇਤਿਤੇਤਸਬੈਤਿਨਤਾਸਦਿਖਾਏ॥
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਰਾਜ-ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਜੁੜੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
All those kings who had come there, they were all shown to the princess
ਦੇਖਫਿਰੀਚਹੂੰਚਕ੍ਰਨਕੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਰਾਜਕੁਮਾਰਿਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਨਹੀਲਿਆਏ॥
ਚੌਹਾਂ ਚੱਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਪਿਛੇ ਪਰਤ ਗਈ (ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ।
She saw the kings in all the four directions, but did not like anyone
ਹਾਰਿਪਰਿਓਸਭਹੀਭਟਮੰਡਲਭੂਪਤਿਹੇਰਿਦਸਾਮੁਰਝਾਏ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਹਾਰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਇਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੁਰਝਾ ਗਏ।
The whole sphere of heroes was defeated and seeing such a situation, the kings also became dejected
ਫੂਕਭਏਮੁਖਸੂਕਗਏਸਬਰਾਜਕੁਮਾਰਿਫਿਰੇਘਰਿਆਏ॥੭੧॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਫਿਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਕ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਫਿਰ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਆ ਗਈ ॥੭੧॥
The faces of all of them shrank and all the princes returned to their homes.71.
ਤਉਲਗਿਆਨਗਏਅਜਿਰਾਜਸੁਰਾਜਨਰਾਜਬਡੋਦਲਲੀਨੇ॥
ਇਤਨੇ ਤਕ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਜਰਾਜ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਵੱਡੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਲਏ ਉਥੇ ਆ ਗਏ।
ਅੰਬਰਅਨੂਪਧਰੇਪਸਮੰਬਰਸੰਬਰਕੇਅਰਿਕੀਛਬਿਛੀਨੇ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਪਸ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ('ਸੰਬਰ ਅਰਿ') ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹੀਣਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ।
At that time, the king Aj, taking alongwith him him his big army, reached there, his unique silken garments were making the god of love feel shy
ਬੇਖਨਬੇਖਚੜੇਸੰਗਹ੍ਵੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਾਨਸਬੈਸੁਖਧਾਮਨਵੀਨੇ॥
ਵੰਨ ਸੁਵੰਨੇ ਬਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਜੋ ਯੋਧੇ) ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ (ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਹਾਣ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇ ਧਾਮ ਸਨ।
There were also many well-dressed other kings affording pleasure
ਆਨਿਗਏਜਰਿਕੰਬਰਸੇਅੰਬਰਸੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੰਬਰਕੀਨੇ॥੭੨॥
ਜ਼ਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਵਰਗੇ (ਸੋਹਣੇ) ਰਾਜਾ ਅਜ ਆ ਗਏ (ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਧਾਰਨ) ਕਪੜਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੰਬਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੭੨॥
The king Aj, wearing handsome garments reached there.72.
ਪਾਤਿਹੀਪਾਤਿਬਨਾਇਬਡੋਦਲਢੋਲਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗਸੁਰੰਗਬਜਾਇ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਵੱਡੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਕਤਾਰ ਜਿਹੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਢੋਲ, ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
His army made queues and his forces began to play on the small and big durms
ਭੂਖਨਚਾਰੁਦਿਪੈਸਬਅੰਗਬਿਲੋਕਿਅਨੰਗਪ੍ਰਭਾਮੁਰਛਾਏ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਚਮਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਮਧਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
On the bodies of al, the handsome ornaments were shining and the god of love also seeting their comeliness, was becoming unconscious
ਬਾਜਤਚੰਗਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗਉਪੰਗਸੁਰੰਗਸੁਨਾਦਸਬੈਸੁਨਿਪਾਏ॥
ਚੰਗ, ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਉਪੰਗ ਆਦਿ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਸੁਣ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਰੀਝਰਹੇਰਿਝਵਾਰਸਬੈਲਖਿਰੂਪਅਨੂਪਸਰਾਹਤਆਏ॥੭੩॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਰੀਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੭੩॥
All were listening to the sounds of the musical instruments and all seeing their unique beauty, were getting pleased.73.
ਜੈਸਸਰੂਪਲਖਿਓਅਜਿਕੋਹਮਤੈਸਸਰੂਪਨਅਉਰਬਿਚਾਰੇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ।
The beauty of king Aj that we saw, had not seen the same beauty of anyone else before
ਚੰਦਿਚਪਿਓਲਖਿਕੈਮੁਖਕੀਛਬਿਛੇਦਪਰੇਉਰਮੈਰਿਸਮਾਰੇ॥
(ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਖਿਝ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਛੇਕ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The moon seeing his comeliness, hid himself and his heart burnt with jealousy
ਤੇਜਸਰੂਪਬਿਲੋਕਿਕੈਪਾਵਕਚਿਤਿਚਿਰੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਅਉਰਨਜਾਰੇ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਤੇਜ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਵੀ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੜ੍ਹ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
The fire seeing his elegance, was irritated and he abandoned his burning activity
ਜੈਸਪ੍ਰਭਾਲਖਿਓਅਜਿਕੋਹਮਤੈਸਸਰੂਪਨਭੂਪਨਿਹਾਰੇ॥੭੪॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ('ਪ੍ਰਭਾ') ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਵੇਖੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਅਸੀਂ (ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ) ਰਾਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ॥੭੪॥
The kind of beauty that the king Aj has, the same beauty we have never seen before.74.
ਸੁੰਦਰਜੁਆਨਸਰੂਪਮਹਾਨਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਚਹੁੰਚਕਮੈਹਮਜਾਨਿਓ॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਮਹਾਨ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੈ, ਚੌਹਾਂ ਚੱਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ) ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
He was winsome youth and had a shapely figure, which was considered foremost in all the four directions
ਭਾਨੁਸਮਾਨਪ੍ਰਭਾਨਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਕਿਰਾਵਕਿਰਾਨਮਹਾਨਬਖਾਨਿਓ॥
ਸੂਰਜ ਸਮਾਨ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ। (ਉਹ) ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਣਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ) ਮਹਾਨ ਦਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He was radiant like the sun and was a great sovereign amongst kings
ਦੇਵਅਦੇਵਚਕੇਅਪਨੇਚਿਤਿਚੰਦਸਰੂਪਨਿਸਾਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਓ॥
ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਰਾਤ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
The gods and others were all wonder-struck to see him and the night considered him as moon
ਦਿਉਸਕੈਭਾਨੁਮੁਨਿਓਭਗਵਾਨਪਛਾਨਮਨੈਘਨਮੋਰਨਮਾਨਿਓ॥੭੫॥
ਦਿਨ ਨੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਦਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੫॥
The day imagined him as the sun and the peacocks thought of him as the cloud.75.
ਬੋਲਿਉਠੇਪਿਕਜਾਨਬਸੰਤਚਕੋਰਨਚੰਦਸਰੂਪਬਖਾਨਿਓ॥
ਕੋਇਲ ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁਤ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਬੋਲ ਪਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚਕੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
The rain-birds raised their voice considering him as spring and the partridges thought of his as moon
ਸਾਤਿਸੁਭਾਵਲਖਿਓਸਭਸਾਧਨਜੋਧਨਕ੍ਰੋਧਪ੍ਰਤਛਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਿਓ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸਾਧਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਿ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਖ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ।
The saints thought of him as peace and the warriors apparently as anger
ਬਾਲਨਬਾਲਸੁਭਾਵਲਖਿਓਤਿਹਸਤ੍ਰਨਕਾਲਸਰੂਪਪਛਾਨਿਓ॥
ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਲ ਸੁਭਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
The children considered him as a good-natured child and the enemies as KAL (death)
ਦੇਵਲਦੇਵਅਦੇਵਨਕੈਸਿਵਰਾਜਨਰਾਜਿਬਡੋਜੀਅਜਾਨਿਓ॥੭੬॥
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਵ, ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੬॥
The gods thought of him as god, the ghosts and fiends as Shiva and the kings as the Sovereign.76.
ਸਾਧਨਸਿਧਸਰੂਪਲਖਿਓਤਿਹਸਤ੍ਰਨਸਤ੍ਰਸਮਾਨਬਸੇਖਿਓ॥
ਸਾਧਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
The saints saw him as a Siddha (adept) and the enemies as enemy
ਚੋਰਨਭੋਰਕਰੋਰਨਮੋਰਨਤਾਸੁਸਹੀਘਨਕੈਅਵਿਰੇਖਿਓ॥
ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਮੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਕਾਲੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
The thieves saw him s early morn and the peacocks as cloud
ਕਾਮਸਰੂਪਸਭੈਪੁਰਨਾਰਨਸੰਭੂਸਮਾਨਸਬੂਗਨਦੇਖਿਓ॥
ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਗਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ('ਸੰਭੂ') ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
All the women considered him as god of love and all the ganas as Shiva
ਸੀਪਸ੍ਵਾਤਿਕੀਬੂੰਦਤਿਸੈਕਰਿਰਾਜਨਰਾਜਬਡੋਤਿਹਪੇਖਿਓ॥੭੭॥
ਸਿੱਪ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਤੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤਕਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੭॥
The shell saw him as the rain-drop and the kings as the Sovereing.77.
ਕੰਬਰਜਿਉਜਰਿਕੰਬਰਕੀਢਿਗਤਿਉਅਵਿਨੰਬਰਤੀਰਸੁਹਾਏ॥
ਕੰਬਲ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਸ਼ਮੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਲ ਕੋਲ (ਪਿਆ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਚੰਗੇ ਚੰਗੇ) ਰਾਜੇ (ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠੇ ਲਗਦੇ ਸਨ।
The king Aj looked splendid on the earth just as the clouds in the sky
ਨਾਕਲਖੇਰਿਸਮਾਨਸੂਆਮਨਨੈਨਦੋਊਲਖਿਏਣਲਜਾਏ॥
(ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ) ਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤੋਤਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਨ ('ਏਣ') ਲਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Seeing his comely nose, the parrot got jealous and seeing both of his eyes, the wagtail felt shy
ਪੇਖਿਗੁਲਾਬਸਰਾਬਪੀਐਜਨੁਪੇਖਤਅੰਗਅਨੰਗਰਿਸਾਏ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਮਾਨੋ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Seeing his limbs, the rose got dead-drunks and the god of love got angry seeing his handsome neck
ਕੰਠਕਪੋਤਕਟੂਪਰਕੇਹਰਰੋਸਰਸੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਭੂਲਿਨਆਏ॥੭੮॥
ਕੰਠ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਬੂਤਰ, ਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਣਾ ਵੀ ਭੁਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੮॥
And the lions seeing his waist forgot themselves and were not able to reach their homes.78.
ਪੇਖਿਸਰੂਪਸਿਰਾਤਨਲੋਚਨਘੂਟਤਹੈਜਨੁਘੂਟਅਮੀਕੇ॥
(ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ('ਸਿਰਾਤ') ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ (ਜਦੋਂ) ਘੁਟਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਤਾਂ ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਘੁਟ ਪੀ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ।

ਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਬਜਾਵਤਤਾਲਬਤਾਵਤਹੈਜਨੋਆਛਰਹੀਕੇ॥
(ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ) ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤਾਲੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਇੰਜ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
The songs were being sung and the musical instruments were being played
ਭਾਵਤਨਾਰਿਸੁਹਾਵਤਗਾਰਦਿਵਾਵਤਹੈਭਰਿਆਨੰਦਜੀਕੇ॥
ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਲਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗਾਲੀਆਂ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਤੂਸੁਕੁਮਾਰਰਚੀਕਰਤਾਰਕਹੈਅਬਿਚਾਰਤ੍ਰੀਆਬਰਨੀਕੇ॥੭੯॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ (ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਲਈ ਹੀ) ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੯॥
The women in their pleasure were singing abusive songs and saying, “O prince! the Lord has created this princess for you, you may wed her.”79.
ਦੇਖਤਰੂਪਸਿਰਾਤਨਲੋਚਨਪੇਖਿਛਕੀਪੀਅਕੀਛਬਿਨਾਰੀ॥
ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਰਜਦੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪ੍ਰਿਯ (ਅਜ ਰਾਜਾ) ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਬਜਾਵਤਢੋਲਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗਮੁਚੰਗਨਕੀਧੁਨਿਭਾਰੀ॥
ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ; ਢੋਲ, ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ, ਮੁਚੰਗ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਧੁਨ ਗੂੰਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Seeing the glory of his eyes, the women were absorbed in love and were singing songs while playing on the drums
ਆਵਤਜਾਤਜਿਤੀਪੁਰਨਾਗਰਗਾਗਰਿਡਾਰਿਲਖੈਦੁਤਿਭਾਰੀ॥
ਜਿਤਨੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਗਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਟ ਕੇ (ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ) ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
All the women who were coming from outside the town, seeing he beauty of the king, they threw away their gowns and were only looking at his charming face
ਰਾਜਕਰੋਤਬਲੌਜਬਲੌਮਹਿਜਉਲਗਗੰਗਬਹੈਜਮੁਨਾਰੀ॥੮੦॥
(ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ) ਤਦ ਤਕ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੋ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਗੰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਮਨਾ ਵਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੮੦॥
Seeing the king they all desired, “O king! let it be the God’s will that you may rule as long as th
ਜਉਨਪ੍ਰਭਾਅਜਿਰਾਜਕੀਰਾਜਤਸੋਕਹਿਕੈਕਿਹਭਾਤਿਗਨਾਊ॥
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਖਾਨ ਕਰਾਂ?।
While describing the glory of king Aj. I accept that whatever similes the poets generally give,
ਜਉਨਪ੍ਰਭਾਕਬਿਦੇਤਸਬੈਜੌਪੈਤਾਸਕਹੋਜੀਅਬੀਚਲਜਾਊ॥
ਜੋ ਉਪਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਉਹੀ ਕਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
They are all discourteous and I feel shy while uttering them
ਹਉਚਹੂੰਓਰਫਿਰਿਓਬਸੁਧਾਛਬਿਅੰਗਨਕੀਨਕਹੂੰਕੋਈਪਾਊ॥
ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਫਿਰਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਤੋਂ (ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਅੰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ (ਉਪਮਾ) ਲਭ ਲਵਾਂ।

ਲੇਖਨਊਖਹ੍ਵੈਜਾਤਲਿਖੋਛਬਿਆਨਨਤੇਕਿਮਿਭਾਖਿਸੁਨਾਊ॥੮੧॥
ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਦਿਆਂ ਕਲਮ ਗੰਨੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਮੋਟੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ)। ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਵਾਂ ॥੮੧॥

ਨੈਨਨਬਾਨਚਹੂੰਦਿਸਮਾਰਤਘਾਇਲਕੈਪੁਰਬਾਸਨਡਾਰੀ॥
(ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਵਲ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ (ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਘਾਇਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The king with the arrows of his eyes, wounded all the townfolk
ਸਾਰਸ੍ਵਤੀਨਸਕੈਕਹਿਰੂਪਸਿੰਗਾਰਕਹੈਮਤਿਕਉਨਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥
ਸਰਸਵਤੀ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੈ।
Even Saravati is uncable to describe the charm of his beauty
ਕੋਕਿਲਕੰਠਿਹਰਿਓਨ੍ਰਿਪਨਾਇਕਛੀਨਕਪੋਤਕੀਗ੍ਰੀਵਅਨਿਆਰੀ॥
ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਇਕ (ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ) ਨੇ ਕੋਇਲ ਦਾ ਗਲਾ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਬੂਤਰ ਦੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਚੁਰਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ) ਅਭਿੰਨ ਹੈ।
The throat of the king is sweet like the nightingale and the neck like the pigeon
ਰੀਝਗਿਰੇਨਰਨਾਰਿਧਰਾਪਰਘੂਮਤਿਹੈਜਨੁਘਾਇਲਭਾਰੀ॥੮੨॥
(ਉਥੋਂ ਦੇ) ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ (ਰਾਜੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਕੋਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਘੁੰਮੇਰੀ ਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੮੨॥
Seeing his beauty, all are falling down on earth and getting wounded.82.

ਅਜ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਕਿਚੰਦ੍ਰਕਿਸੂਰਇਹਿਇਹਬਿਧਿਕਰਤਬਿਚਾਰ॥੮੩॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਹੈ ॥੮੩॥
The men and women are getting pleased on seeing the comeliness of form of king Aj and have not been able to decide whether he is Indra, Chandra of Surya.83.

ਨਾਗਨਕੇਛਉਨਾਹੈਂਕਿਕੀਨੇਕਾਹੂੰਟਉਨਾਹੈਂਕਿਕਾਮਕੇਖਿਲਉਨਾਹੈਂਬਨਾਏਹੈਂਸੁਧਾਰਕੇ॥
ਨਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਖਿਡੌਣੇ ਹਨ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Either he is mercurial like the young ones of serpents or someone has seen him like the one, who casts spells on the king Aj, has been specially created like the toy of the god of love
ਇਸਤ੍ਰਿਨਕੇਪ੍ਰਾਨਹੈਂਕਿਸੁੰਦਰਤਾਕੀਖਾਨਹੈਂਕਿਕਾਮਕੇਕਲਾਨਬਿਧਿਕੀਨੇਹੈਂਬਿਚਾਰਕੇ॥
ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ, (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਧਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
The king Aj is the breath of like for women, he is the mine of beauty and is skilful in the sexual sports
ਚਾਤੁਰਤਾਕੇਭੇਸਹੈਂਕਿਰੂਪਕੇਨਰੇਸਹੈਂਕਿਸੁੰਦਰਸੁਦੇਸਏਸਕੀਨੇਚੰਦ੍ਰਸਾਰਕੇ॥
ਚਤੁਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਰੂਪ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ।
He is the apparent manifestation of wisdom and amongst the kings he is charming like the moon
ਤੇਗਹੈਂਕਿਤੀਰਹੈਂਕਿਬਾਨਾਬਾਧੇਬੀਰਹੈਂਸੁਐਸੇਨੇਤ੍ਰਅਜਿਕੇਬਿਲੋਕੀਐਸੰਭਾਰਕੇ॥੮੪॥
ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਤੀਰ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਬਾਣ ਸਜਾਏ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਹਨ। ਸੋ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਰ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਲ) ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮੪॥
It is not clear whether he is the sword or the arrow or a bedecked warrior such a brave king Aj is being seen with great caution.84.
