ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਵਾਸ, ਘੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੨੪੪੩॥
In this way, they discussed about Krishna for hours together.2443.
ਭੂਪਦਿਜੋਤਮਕੀਅਤਿਹੀਹਰਿਜੂਮਨਮੈਜਬਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥
ਉਤਮ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
Krishna sensed this love of the king and the Brahmin, and
ਮੇਰੇਹੈਧਿਆਨਕੇਬੀਚਪਰੇਇਹਅਉਰਕਥਾਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੀਜੁਬਿਸਾਰੀ॥
(ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਮੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਘਰ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
He thought that these people are only absorbed in his meditation leaving other domestic tasks
ਦਾਰੁਕਕਉਕਹਿਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਪੈਜੁਕਰੀਪ੍ਰਭਜੀਤਿਹਓਰਿਸਵਾਰੀ॥
ਰਥਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਚਾਲੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
He called his charioteer Daruk and caused his chariot to be driven to their side
ਸਾਧਨਜਾਇਸਨਾਥਕਰੋਅਬਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਇਹੈਜੀਅਧਾਰੀ॥੨੪੪੪॥
'ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਧ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਾਥ ਕਰਾਂ', ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਹੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰ ਲਈ ॥੨੪੪੪॥
He thought that he should gratify them by going within the sight of these helpless persons.2444.

ਤਬਜਦੁਪਤਿਦੁਇਰੂਪਬਨਾਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਇਕਦਿਜਕੈਇਕਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਆਯੋ॥
ਇਕ (ਰੂਪ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਆਇਆ।
Then Krishna manifested himself in tow forms, in one form he went to the king and in the other he went to the Brahmin
ਦਿਜਨ੍ਰਿਪਅਤਿਸੇਵਾਤਿਹਕਰੀ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਚਿਤਕੀਸਭਚਿੰਤਾਪਰਹਰੀ॥੨੪੪੫॥
ਚਿਤ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੨੪੪੫॥
Both the king and the Brahmin performed extreme service and relinquished all the afflictions of their mind.2445.

ਚਾਰਮਾਸਹਰਿਜੂਤਹਾਰਹੇਬਹੁਤੁਸੁਖਪਾਇ॥
ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਉਥੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਬਹੁਰੁਆਪੁਨੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਗਏਜਸਕੀਬੰਬਬਜਾਇ॥੨੪੪੬॥
ਫਿਰ ਯਸ਼ ਦਾ ਧੌਂਸਾ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਗਏ ॥੨੪੪੬॥
Krishna stayed there for four months happily and then he went back to his home causing the resounding of his trumpets.2446.
ਇਕਕਹਿਗੇਦਿਜਭੂਪਕਉਬ੍ਰਿਜਪਤਿਕਰਿਇਸਨੇਹੁ॥
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਾਰਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ (ਗੱਲ) ਕਹਿ ਗਏ
ਬੇਦਚਾਰਿਜਿਉਮੁਹਿਜਪੈਤਿਉਮੁਹਿਜਪੁਸੁਨਿਲੇਹੁ॥੨੪੪੭॥
(ਕਿ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਵੇਦ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਪੋ, (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਣ ਲਵੋ ॥੨੪੪੭॥
Krishna said to the king and the Brahmin with love, “The way in which all the four Vedas repeat my name, you may also repeat and listen to my Name.”2447.

ਕਾਬਿਧਿਗਾਵਤਹੈਗੁਨਬੇਦਸੁਨੋਤੁਮਤੇਸੁਕਇਉਜੀਯਆਈ॥
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਵੇਦ ਕਿਸ ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, "ਹੇ ਸ਼ੁਕਦੇਵ! ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ (ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰ) ਸੁਣਾਂ, (ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।"
ਤਿਆਗਿਸਭੈਫੁਨਿਧਾਮਕੇਲਾਲਚਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਪ੍ਰਭਕੀਜਸਤਾਈ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਯਸ਼ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
“O king! listen, how the Vedas eulogise Him and sing the praises of the Lord causing the relinquishment of all the domestic temptations
ਇਉਗੁਨਗਾਵਤਬੇਦਸੁਨੋਤੁਮਰੰਗਨਰੂਪਲਖਿਯੋਕਛੂਜਾਈ॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਧਿਆਨ ਪੂਰਵਕ) ਸੁਣੋ, ਵੇਦ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਰੰਗ, ਰੂਪ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
The Vedas says that the form and colour of that Lord are invisible. O king! I have never given you such an instruction
ਇਉਸੁਕਬੈਨਕਹੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਸਾਚਰਿਦੇਅਪੁਨੇਠਹਰਾਈ॥੨੪੪੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸ਼ੁਕਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਹੇ। ਰਾਜੇ (ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਏ ॥੨੪੪੮॥
Therefore abide this instruction in your mind.”2248.
ਰੰਗਨਰੇਖਅਭੇਖਸਦਾਪ੍ਰਭਅੰਤਨਆਵਤਹੈਜੁਬਤਇਯੈ॥
(ਉਸ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ-ਰੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ (ਹੱਥ) ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਜੇ ਦਸ ਸਕੀਏ।
That Lord has no form, no colour, no garb and no end
ਚਉਦਹੂਲੋਕਨਮੈਜਿਹਕੋਦਿਨਿਰੈਨਿਸਦਾਜਸੁਕੇਵਲਗਇਯੈ॥
ਚੌਦਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ, ਕੇਵਲ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
His praises are sung in all the fourteen worlds day and night
ਗਿਆਨਬਿਖੈਅਰੁਧਿਆਨਬਿਖੈਇਸਨਾਨਬਿਖੈਰਸਮੈਚਿਤਕਇਯੈ॥
ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ, ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ (ਰਸ) ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
His love should be kept in mind in meditation, spiritual pursuits and in the bath
ਬੇਦਜਪੈਜਿਹਕੋਤਿਹਜਾਪਸਦਾਕਰੀਯੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਯੌਸੁਨਿਲਇਯੈ॥੨੪੪੯॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਦ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਵੋ ॥੨੪੪੯॥
O king! He, whom the Vedas remember, He should always be remembered.”2449.
ਜਾਹਿਕੀਦੇਹਸਦਾਗੁਨਗਾਵਤਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਕੇਰਸਕੇਸੰਗਭੀਨੀ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਜੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਤਾਹਿਪਿਤਾਹਮਰੇਸੰਗਬਾਤਕਹੀਤਿਹਤੇਹਮਹੂਸੁਨਿਲੀਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
The Lord, whose praises are sung with love by all, my father (Vyas) also used to sing His praises which I have heard
ਜਾਪਜਪੈਸਭਹੀਹਰਿਕੋਸੁਜਪੈਨਹਿਹੈਜਿਹਕੀਮਤਿਹੀਨੀ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਨ) ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਪਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਹੀਣੀ ਹੈ।
ਤਾਹਿਸਦਾਰੁਚਿਸੋਜਪੀਐਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੋਸੁਕਦੇਵਇਹੈਮਤਿਦੀਨੀ॥੨੪੫੦॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਰੁਚੀ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ੁਕਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਇਹੀ ਮਤ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੨੪੫੦॥
Those who are of very low intellect, they only do not remember Him, “in this way Shukdev addressed the king, “O king! that Lord should always be remembered with love.”2450.
ਕਸਟਕੀਏਜੋਨਆਵਤਹੈਕਰਿਸੀਸਜਟਾਧਰੇਹਾਥਿਨਆਵੈ॥
ਜੋ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ (ਹੱਥ) ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਧਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
He, who is not realized on enduring many sufferings and wearing mattered locks
ਬਿਦਿਆਪੜੇਨਕੜੇਤਪਸੋਅਰੁਜੋਦ੍ਰਿਗਮੂੰਦਕੋਊਗੁਨਗਾਵੈ॥
ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਠੋਰ ਤਪ ਨਾਲ, ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੀਟਣ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ) ਨਹੀਂ (ਹੋਇਆ)।
Who is not realised by getting education, by performing austerities and closing the eyes
ਬੀਨਬਜਾਇਸੁਨ੍ਰਿਤਦਿਖਾਇਬਤਾਇਭਲੇਹਰਿਲੋਕਰਿਝਾਵੈ॥
ਬੀਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ, ਨਾਚ ਵਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ (ਉਪਦੇਸ਼) ਦਸ ਕੇ (ਕੋਈ ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਹਰਿ-ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਝਾ ਲਵੇ।
And who cannot be pleased by playing upon several types of musical instruments and by dancing
ਪ੍ਰੇਮਬਿਨਾਕਰਮੋਨਹੀਆਵਤਬ੍ਰਹਮਹੂਸੋਜਿਹਭੇਦਨਪਾਵੈ॥੨੪੫੧॥
(ਪਰ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨੪੫੧॥
That Brahman cannot be realized by anyone without love.2451.
ਖੋਜਰਹੇਰਵਿਸੇਸਸਿਸੇਤਿਹਕੋਤਿਹਕੋਕਛੁਅੰਤਨਆਯੋ॥
ਸੂਰਜ ਵਰਗੇ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਜਿਹੇ ਖੋਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, (ਪਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਅੰਤ (ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ।
He is being searched by Surya and Chandra, but they could not know his mystery
ਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੇਪਾਰਨਪਇਯਤਜਾਹਿਕੇਬੇਦਸਕੈਨਹਿਭੇਦਬਤਾਯੋ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਦ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਸ ਸਕੇ।
Even the ascetic like Rudra (Shiva) and also Vedas could not know His mystery
ਨਾਰਦਤੂੰਬਰਲੈਕਰਿਬੀਨਭਲੇਬਿਧਿਸੋਹਰਿਕੋਗੁਨਗਾਯੋ॥
ਨਾਰਦ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਣਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਰਿ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਹਨ।
Narada also sings His praises on his Vina (lyre), but according to the poet Shyam
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਬਿਨੁਪ੍ਰੇਮਕੀਏਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਇਕਸੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਇਕਪਾਯੋ॥੨੪੫੨॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਰਗਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨੪੫੨॥
Without love none could realise Krishna as Lord-God.2452.

ਜਬਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੋਸੁਕਯੌਕਹਿਯੋਤਬਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੁਕਕੇਸਾਥ॥
ਜਦ ਸ਼ੁਕਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਕਦੇਵ ਪਾਸ (ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ)
When Shukdev said this to the king, the king asked Shukdev, “How this can happen that in his birth the Lord may remain in agony and
ਹਰਿਜਨਦੁਖੀਸੁਖੀਸੁਸਿਵਰਹੈਸੁਕਹੁਮੁਹਿਗਾਥ॥੨੪੫੩॥
'ਹਰਿਜਨ' (ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਦੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ (ਭਗਤ) ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗਾਥਾ ਦਸੋ ॥੨੪੫੩॥
Shiva himself may remain in comfort, kindly enlighten me on this episode.”2453.

ਤਦ ਸ਼ੁਕਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ।
ਇਹੈਜੁਧਿਸਟਰਕੈਜੀਅਆਯੋ॥
ਇਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ) ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਰ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।

(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਸੋ ਪੁਛਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ (ਸਾਰਾ) ਭੇਦ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ ॥੨੪੫੪॥
Then the king said this to Shukdev, then Shukdev while replying said this, “The same thing also occurred in the mind of Yudhishtar and he had asked Krishna the same thing and Krishna had also explained this mystery to Yudhishtar.”2254.
