ਜਿਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਸਨ, ਉਥੇ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ॥੨੩੭੦॥
Then, getting enraged, the demon Bakatra reached there where Krishna was standing.2370.

ਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਇਕਕਉਜਬਹੀਤਿਨਆਇਆਯੋਧਨਬੀਚਹਕਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਹਉਮਰਿਹਉਨਹੀਯੌਕਹਿਯੋਤਾਹਿਸੁਜਿਉਸਿਸੁਪਾਲਬਲੀਤੁਹਿਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
'ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ੁਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ'।
He challenged Krishna again in the war-arena and said, “The way in which you have killed the brave Shishupal, I shall not die like that
ਐਸੇਸੁਨਿਯੋਜਬਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਬੈਨਤਬੈਹਰਿਜੂਪੁਨਿਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਬਾਣ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ।
ਸਤ੍ਰੁਕੋਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਰਥਤੇਫੁਨਿਮੂਰਛਕੈਕਰਿਭੂਪਰਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥੨੩੭੧॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫਿਰ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਮੂਰਛਿਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨੩੭੧॥
Hearing this, Krishna held his arrow in his hand and made the enemy unconscious and knocked him down on the earth.2371.
ਲੈਸੁਧਿਹ੍ਵੈਸੋਊਲੋਪਗਯੋਫਿਰਿਕੋਪਭਰਿਯੋਰਨਭੀਤਰਆਯੋ॥
ਹੋਸ਼ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ (ਉਥੋਂ) ਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਫਿਰ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਬਾਪਕੋਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਹੀਕਉਕਟਿਮਾਯਾਕੋਕੈਇਕਮੂੰਡਦਿਖਾਯੋ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਛਲ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।
When the demon Bakatra regained consciousness, he disappeared and then, filled with anger, under the impact of maya, he cut the head of Krishna’s father and showed it to him
ਕੋਪਕੀਯੋਘਨਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਤਬੈਅਰੁਨੈਨਦੁਹੂਨਤੇਨੀਰਬਹਾਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੰਝੂ ਵਗਾਏ।
Krishna was extremely infuriated and the tears flowed out of his eyes
ਹਾਥਪੈਚਕ੍ਰਸੁਦਰਸਨਲੈਅਰਿਕੋਸਿਰਕਾਟਿਕੈਭੂਮਿਗਿਰਾਯੋ॥੨੩੭੨॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਚੱਕਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨੩੭੨॥
Now he took his discus in his hand and cutting the head of the enemy made it fall on the ground.2372.

ਜਾਹਿਸਿਵਾਦਿਕਬ੍ਰਹਮਨਿਮਿਓਸੁਸਦਾਅਪਨੇਚਿਤਬੀਚਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਆਦਿਕ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਤਿਹਕਉਤਬਹੀਕਬਹੀਕਿਰਪਾਨਿਧਿਰੂਪਦਿਖਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ (ਜ਼ਰੂਰ) ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who have remembered in their mind the creator of Brahma, Shiva etc. that Lord, the ocean of mercy appeared before them immediately
ਰੰਗਨਰੂਪਅਉਰਾਗਨਰੇਖਇਹੈਚਹੂੰਬੇਦਨਭੇਦਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਰੂਪ, ਰੰਗ, ਰੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਗ (ਮੋਹ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਇਸੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
He, who has no form, no colour and no dimension and whose mystery has been uttered by all the four Vedas
ਤਾਧਰਿਮੂਰਤਿਜੁਧਬਿਖੈਇਹਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਰਨਬੀਚਸੰਘਾਰਿਯੋ॥੨੩੭੩॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੭੩॥
The same manifesting himself, is busy in killing in the battlefield.2373.

ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਕੋਪਜਬਸਤ੍ਰਦ੍ਵੈਰਨਮੈਦਏਖਪਾਇ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਤੀਸਰਜੋਜੀਵਤਬਚਿਯੋਸੋਤਹਪਹੁਚਿਯੋਆਇ॥੨੩੭੪॥
(ਤਦ) ਜੋ ਤੀਜਾ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਬਚਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ॥੨੩੭੪॥
When Krishna, in his ire, killed two enemies in the fighting and the third one who survived, he also came in the battlefield.2374.
ਦਾਤਨਸੋਦੋਊਹੋਠਕਟਿਦੋਊਨਚਾਵਤਨੈਨ॥
ਉਹ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੋਠ ਕਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘੂਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਤਬਹਲਧਰਤਿਹਸੋਕਹੇਕਹਿਤਸ੍ਯਾਮਏਬੈਨ॥੨੩੭੫॥
ਤਦ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ, (ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਉਹੀ ਬੋਲ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੭੫॥
Cutting both his lips with his teeth and dancing both his eyes, Balram said this to him,2375

ਕਿਉਜੜਜੁਧਕਰੈਹਰਿਸਿਉਮਧੁਕੀਟਭਸੇਜਿਹਸਤ੍ਰੁਖਪਾਏ॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਧੁ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਟਭ ਵਰਗੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
“O fool! He, who killed the demons Madhu and Kaitabh
ਰਾਵਨਸੇਹਰਿਨਾਖਸਸੇਹਰਿਨਾਛਹੂਸੇਜਗਿਜਾਨਿਨਪਾਏ॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਵਰਗੇ, ਹਰਨਾਖਸ ਜਿਹੇ, ਹਰਨਾਛ ਵਰਗੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇ ਹਨ।
He, who finished Ravana, Hirannyakashipu,
ਕੰਸਹਿਸੇਅਰੁਸੰਧਿਜਰਾਸੰਗਦੇਸਨਦੇਸਨਕੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਆਏ॥
ਕੰਸ ਅਤੇ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਵਰਗਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ।
He killed Kansa, Jarasandh and the kings of various countries, why are you fighting with Him?
ਤੈਰੇਕਹਾਅਰੇਸੋਛਿਨਮੈਇਹਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਜਮਲੋਕਪਠਾਏ॥੨੩੭੬॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਅੜੇਂਗਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਯਮਲੋਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੨੩੭੬॥
You are nothing, He was despatched very great enemies to the abode of Yama.2376.
ਸ੍ਰੀਬਿਜਨਾਥਤਬੈਤਿਹਸੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਇਹਭਾਤਿਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
Then Krishna said this to him, “I killed Bakasura and Aghasura
ਮੈਬਕਬੀਰਅਘਾਸੁਰਮਾਰਿਸੁਕੇਸਨਿਤੇਗਹਿਕੰਸਪਛਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਮੈਂ ਬਕਾਸੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਘਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾੜ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਹੈ।
I knocked down Kansa by catching him from his hair
ਤੇਈਛੂਹਨਸੰਧਿਜਰਾਹੂਕੀਮੈਸੁਨਿਸੈਨਸੁਧਾਰਿਬਿਦਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਸੁਣ, ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਦੀ ਤੇਈ ਅਛੋਹਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
“I destroyed Jarasandh alongwith his twenty-three extralarge military units
ਤੈਹਮਰੇਬਲਅਗ੍ਰਜਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹਿਯੋਘਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਤੇਕਉਨਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥੨੩੭੭॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਲ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਰਾਬਰ) ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੭੭॥
Now you may tell me, whom do you think stronger than me?”2377.
ਮੋਹਿਡਰਾਵਤਹੈਕਹਿਯੌਮੁਹਿਕੰਸਕੋਬੀਰਬਕੀਬਕਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੰਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ 'ਬਕੀ' ਅਤੇ 'ਬਕ' ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੰਧਿਜਰਾਹੂਕੀਸੈਨਸਭੈਮੋਹਿਭਾਖਤਹੋਛਿਨਮਾਹਿਸੰਘਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Then he replied, “You are frightening me by saying this that you have killed in an instant Kansa, Bakasura and Jarasandh, the armies of Jarasandh etc.
ਮੋਕਉਕਹੈਬਲੁਤੇਰੋਅਰੇਮੇਰੇਪਉਰਖਅਗ੍ਰਜਕਉਨਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਓਇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਤੂੰ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਲ ਦੇ ਅਗੇ ਕੌਣ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
“You are asking me that who is more powerful than yourself? This is not the tradition of warriors
ਸੂਰਨਕੀਇਹਰੀਤਿਨਹੀਹਰਿਛਤ੍ਰੀਹੈਤੂਕਿਭਯੋਭਠਿਆਰਿਯੋ॥੨੩੭੮॥
ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਤੂੰ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਭਠਿਆਰਾ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਰੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ (ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਆਪ ਕਰਨ) ॥੨੩੭੮॥
And O Krishna! are you a Kshatriya or a grain-parcher?2378.
ਆਪਨੇਕੋਪਕੀਪਾਵਕਮੈਬਲਤੇਰੋਸਬੈਸਮਫੂਸਜਰੈਹੋ॥
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਫੂਸ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਾੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
“I shall burn your anger like the blade of grass in the fire of my rage
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਜਿਤੋਤੁਹਅੰਗਨਮੈਸੁਸਭੈਸਮਨੀਰਹਕੀਆਵਟੈਹੋ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਵੀ ਲਹੂ ਹੈ; ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਬਾਲ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
Whatever blood is in you body, I shall destroy it my boiling like water
ਦੇਗਚਾਆਪਨੇਪਉਰਖਕੋਰਨਮੈਜਬਹੀਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਚੜੈਹੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੇਗਚਾ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾਂਗਾ,
ਤਉਤੇਰੋਅੰਗਕੋਮਾਸੁਸਬੈਤਿਹਭੀਤਰਡਾਰਕੈਆਛੈਪਕੈਹੋ॥੨੩੭੯॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਕਾਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੨੩੭੯॥
“When I shall place the vessel of my power on the fire of my rage, then the flesh of your limbs will be cooked nicely without any care.”2379.
ਐਸੇਬਿਬਾਦਕੈਆਹਵਮੈਦੋਊਕ੍ਰੋਧਭਰੇਅਤਿਜੁਧੁਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
In this way, disputing, both engaged themselves in dreadful fighting in the battlefield
ਬਾਨਨਸਿਉਦਿਵਅਉਰਦਿਵਾਕਰਿਧੂਰਿਉਠੀਰਥਪਹੀਯਨਛਾਯੋ॥
ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਰਜ (ਢਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ) ਅਤੇ ਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਠੀ ਧੂੜ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਛਾ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
The dust arose with the discharge of arrow, which covered all the chariots etc. in order to see the pageant of war.
ਕਉਤੁਕਦੇਖਨਕਉਸਸਿਸੂਰਜਆਏਹੁਤੇਤਿਨਮੰਗਲਗਾਯੋ॥
ਇਸ ਕੌਤਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਸੂਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਮਈ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਏ ਹਨ।

ਅੰਤਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਤੇਜੀਤਸਕਿਯੋਸੋਊਅੰਤਹਿਕੇਫੁਨਿਧਾਮਿਸਿਧਾਯੋ॥੨੩੮੦॥
ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਿਤ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਯਮਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੩੮੦॥
The enemy ultimately could not gain victory over Krishna and reached the abode of Yama.2380.
ਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਹਨਿਯੋਅਰਿਕੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਕਰਿਗਾਢਅਯੋਧਨ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਕੜਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
In that dreadful fighting, Krishna killed the enemy
ਹ੍ਵੈਕੈਕੁਰੂਪਪਰਿਯੋਧਰਿਜੁਧਕੀਤਉਨਸਮੈਬਯਦੂਰਥਕੋਤਨ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਯਦੂਰਥ (ਵਿਦੂਰਥ) ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਕੁਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਪੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ।

ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਸੰਗਭਰਿਯੋਪਰਿਯੋਦੇਖਿਦਯਾਉਪਜੀਕਰੁਨਾਨਿਧਿਕੇਮਨਿ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਦਇਆ (ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਛੋਰਿਸਰਾਸਨਟੇਰਕਹਿਯੋਦਿਨਆਜੁਕੇਤੈਕਰਿਹੋਨਕਬੈਰਨ॥੨੩੮੧॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਕਦੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ॥੨੩੮੧॥
Seeing his body smeared with blood, Krishna, filled with mercy and apathy, abandoning his bow and arrows said, “Now from today, I shall nor fight.”2381.
