ਕਹਿਓਫਿਰਿਆਪਨਬਿਪਕੋਰੂਪਧਰਿਓਨਹੀਕਾਹੂਤੇਜਾਤਲਹਿਓ॥੨੩੧੮॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਆਪ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥੨੩੧੮॥
He himself assumed such a garb, that he may not be recognised by anyone.2318.
ਬਾਮਨਭੇਖਜਬੈਧਰਿਕੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੰਧਿਜਰਾਕੇਗਏਨ੍ਰਿਪਜਾਨੀ॥
ਜਦ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦਾ ਭੇਖ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ (ਤਾਂ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ।
ਨੈਨਨਿਹਾਰਵਡੇਭੁਜਦੰਡਸੁਛਤ੍ਰਿਨਕੀਸਭਰੀਤਿਪਛਾਨੀ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਛਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਏ।
When adopting the guise of a Brahmin, all of them went to the king Jarasandh, he, seeing long arms recognised them as Kshatriyas
ਤੇਈਸਬਾਰਭਿਰਿਯੋਹਮਸੋਸੋਊਹੈਜਿਹਦੁਆਰਵਤੀਰਜਧਾਨੀ॥
ਇਹ ਤੇਈ ਵਾਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਓਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਦੁਆਰਿਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਭੇਦਲਹਿਯੋਸਭਹੀਛਲਿਕੈਇਹਆਯੋਹੈਗੋਕੁਲਨਾਥਗੁਮਾਨੀ॥੨੩੧੯॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰਾ ਭੇਦ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਗੋਕੁਲ ਨਾਥ ਹੀ ਛਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੧੯॥
He also recognised that he is the same person who has fought with him from Dwarka for twenty-three times and the same Krishna has come to deceive him.2319.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਆਪਨਹੀਉਠਕੈਇਹਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਕਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸੁਣਾਇਆ।
ਤੇਈਸਬੇਰਭਜਿਯੋਹਰਿਸਿਉਹਰਿਕੌਤ੍ਵੈਏਕਹੀਬਾਰਭਜਾਯੋ॥
ਤੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੇਈ ਵਾਰ ਭਜਿਆ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਵਾਰ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ) ਭਜਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
Krishna himself stood and said to the king, “You have fled for twenty-three times in front of Krishna and only once you have caused him to run away
ਏਤੇਪੈਬੀਰਕਹਾਵਤਹੈਸੁਇਹੈਹਮਰੇਚਿਤਪੈਅਬਆਯੋ॥
ਇਤਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਵੀ (ਤੂੰ) ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ (ਵਿਚਾਰ) ਆਇਆ ਹੈ
“This thought has come to my mind that on this you are calling yourself a hero
ਬਾਮਨਹੁਇਤੁਹਿਸੇਸੰਗਛਤ੍ਰੀਕੇਚਾਹਤਹੈਕਰਜੁਧੁਮਚਾਯੋ॥੨੩੨੦॥
ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਅਸੀਂ) ਤੇਰੇ (ਵਰਗੇ) ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ॥੨੩੨੦॥
We, being Brahmins, want to fight with Kshatiya like you.2320.
ਬਲਿਮਾਪਿਕੈਦੇਹਦਈਹਰਿਕਉਸਭਹੋਰਰਹੇਨਬਿਚਾਰਕੀਯੋ॥
ਬਲਿ (ਰਾਜੇ) ਨੇ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਮਾਪ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਸਭ ਹੋੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ, (ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਹਿਯੋਕਾਤਨੁਹੈਭਗਵਾਨਸੋਭਿਛੁਕਮਾਗਤਦੇਹਬੀਯੋਨਬੀਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਕੀ (ਚੀਜ਼) ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਜੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਜਿਹਾ ਮੰਗਤਾ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਾਂ) ਦੇਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ (ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਦੇਣ ਯੋਗ) ਨਹੀਂ।
“The king Bali, without any other thought, gave his body to the Lord-god thinking that it was only the Lord who was standing at his door like begger and none else
ਸੁਨਿਰਾਮਜੂਰਾਵਨਮਾਰਕੈਰਾਜੁਭਿਭੀਛਨਦੇਹਿਤਿਹਤੇਨਲੀਯੋ॥
ਸੁਣ, ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ (ਵਾਪਸ) ਨਾ ਲਿਆ।
“Rama gave kingdom to Vibhishana after killing Ravana and did not get it back from him
ਹਮਰੇਅਬਮਾਗਤਹੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਕਿਉਚੁਪਠਾਨਿਰਹਿਓਸੁਕਚਾਤਹੀਯੋ॥੨੩੨੧॥
ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਹੁਣ ਚੁਪ ਕਿਉਂ ਸਾਧ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੨੧॥
Now my companions who are kings, are begging your person and you are standing there silently and hesitatingly.2321.
ਦੇਖਿਦਯੋਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਸੁਤਸੂਰਜਚਿਤਬਿਖੈਨਹੀਤ੍ਰਾਸਕੀਯੋਹੈ॥
ਵੇਖੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ (ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
“The god Surya gave his unique power (Kavach-kundal the armour-rings) and even then he was not frightened
ਦਾਸਭਯੋਹਰਿਚੰਦਸੁਨਿਯੋਸੁਤਕਾਜਨਲਾਜਕੀਓਰਿਧਯੋਹੈ॥
(ਰਾਜਾ) ਹਰਿਚੰਦ (ਚੰਡਾਲ ਦਾ) ਦਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਦੇ ਦਾਹ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਦੇ) ਕਾਰਜ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਾਈ ਸੀ।
The king Harish Chandra became a servant but his attachment with his son (and wife) could not degrade him
ਮੂੰਡਦਯੋਮਧੁਕਾਟਿਮੁਰਾਰਿਰਤੀਕੁਨਸੰਕਤਮਾਨਭਯੋਹੈ॥
ਮਧੁ (ਅਤੇ ਕੈਟਭ) ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਤਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੰਕਾਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
“Then, Krishna as Kshatriya fearlessly killed the demon mur
ਜੁਧਹਿਚਾਹਤਹੋਤਿਨਤੇਤੁਮਰੋਬਕਹਾਬਲਘਾਟਗਯੋਹੈ॥੨੩੨੨॥
ਓਹੀ ਬਕਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਲ ਘਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੨੨॥
Now the same Brahmins want to wage a war with you, but it appears that your strength has decilined.”2322.
ਪਛਮਸੂਰਚੜਿਯੋਸੁਨੀਯੈਉਲਟੀਫਿਰਿਗੰਗਬਹੀਅਬਆਵੈ॥
ਪੱਛਮ ਵਲੋਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਹੁਣ ਗੰਗਾ ਉਲਟੀ ਵਗਣ ਲਗ ਜਾਵੇ।
The sun can rise from the west, the Ganges can flow backwards,
ਸਤੁਟਰਿਓਹਰੀਚੰਦਹੂਕੋਧਰਨੀਧਰਤਿਆਗਧਰਾਤੇਪਰਾਵੈ॥
ਹਰਿਚੰਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਟਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੜ ਕੇ ਪਰੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣ।
Harish Chandra can fall down from his truth, the mountains can flee and leave the earth,
ਸਿੰਘਚਲੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਤੇਟਰਿਕੈਗਜਰਾਜਉਡਿਯੋਨਭਮਾਰਗਿਜਾਵੈ॥
ਸ਼ੇਰ ਹਿਰਨ ਤੋਂ (ਡਰ ਕੇ) ਪਿਛੇ ਹਟ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਥੀ ਉਡ ਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਲ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
The lion can be frightened by a deer and the elephant can fly but Arjuna said,
ਪਾਰਥਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹਿਯੋਤਬਭੂਪਤਿਤ੍ਰਾਸਭਰੈਨਹਿਜੁਧੁਮਚਾਵੈ॥੨੩੨੩॥
ਅਰਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ (ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੋਏਗਾ) ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਡਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੨੩੨੩॥
“I think, if all this happens, the king is so much frightened that he cannot wage a war,”2323.

ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਅਰਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਇਹੀਇਹਪਾਰਥਭੀਮਇਹੈਤਿਹਭੂਪਤਿਜਾਨੋ॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਅਰਜਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਭੀਮ ਹੈ।
When Arjuna said like this to Krishna, then the king thought that they were, in fact, Krishna, Arjuna and Bhima.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਭਜਿਯੋਹਮਤੇਇਹਬਾਲਕਯਾਸੰਗਹਉਲਰਿਹੋਸੁਬਖਾਨੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭਜ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ (ਅਰਜਨ) ਅਜੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਇਸ (ਭੀਮ) ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ
ਜੁਧੁਕੇਕਾਰਨਠਾਢੋਭਯੋਉਠਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਕਛੁਤ੍ਰਾਸਨਮਾਨੋ॥੨੩੨੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੜਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। (ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ॥੨੩੨੪॥
He said, “Krishna has fled before me, should I now fight with these children?” Saying this, he stood fearlessly for waging the war.2324.
ਭਾਰੀਗਦਾਹੁਤੀਧਾਮਿਘਨੀਇਕਭੀਮਕੌਆਪਕੋਅਉਰਮੰਗਾਈ॥
(ਉਸ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ) ਘਰ ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਰੀ ਗਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ, (ਉਹ) ਭੀਮ (ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ) ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੋਰ ਮੰਗਵਾ ਲਈ।
There was a very huge mace, in the house the king caused to be brought for himself and gave the other to Bhima,
ਏਕਦਈਕਰਿਭੀਮਹਿਕੇਇਕਆਪਨੇਹਾਥਕੇਬੀਚਸੁਹਾਈ॥
ਇਕ (ਗਦਾ) ਭੀਮ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ।
He took his mace in his hand and the other mace was given in the hand of Bhima, the fight began
ਰਾਤਿਕੋਸੋਇਰਹੈਸੁਖਪਾਇਸੁਦਿਵਸਕਰੈਉਠਿਨਿਤਲਰਾਈ॥
ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ (ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਸੁਖ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਸੌਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਨਿਤ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ।
ਐਸੇਕਥਾਦੁਹਬੀਰਨਕੀਮਨਬੀਚਬਿਚਾਰਕੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੁਨਾਈ॥੨੩੨੫॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੋ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ (ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈ ॥੨੩੨੫॥
They used to sleep at night and fight during the day and the story of the battle of both the warriors is related by the poet Shyam.2325.
ਭੀਮਗਦਾਗਹਿਭੂਪਪੈਮਾਰਤਭੂਪਗਦਾਗਹਿਭੀਮਪੈਮਾਰੀ॥
ਭੀਮ ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਗਦਾ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਭੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ।
ਰੋਸਭਰੇਬਲਵੰਤਦੋਊਲਰੈਕਾਨਨਮੈਜਨਕੇਹਰਿਭਾਰੀ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ (ਇੰਜ) ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
Bhima strikes the mace on the king and the king given the blow with his mace to Bhima. Both the warriors are fighting in fury with such intensity as if two lions are fighting in the forest
ਜੁਧਕਰੈਨਮੁਰੈਤਿਹਠਉਰਤੇਬਾਟਤਹੈਤਿਹਠਾਜਨੁਯਾਰੀ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਪਰ) ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯਾਰੀ ਵੰਡ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
They are fighting and not moving away from their determined places
ਯੌਉਪਜੀਉਪਮਾਚਤੁਰੇਜਨੁਖੇਲਤਹੈਫੁਲਥਾਸੋਖਿਲਾਰੀ॥੨੩੨੬॥
(ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੱਤਕਾ ਖੇਡ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੨੩੨੬॥
It seems that the sportsmen are standing stable while playing.2326.
ਦਿਵਸਸਤਾਈਸਜੁਧੁਭਯੋਜਬਭੂਪਜਿਤਿਯੋਬਲੁਭੀਮਹਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਸਤਾਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, (ਤਾਂ) ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਜਿਤ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭੀਮ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ।
After twenty-seven days of fighting, the king became victorious and Bhima was defeated
ਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਦਯੋਤਬਹੀਬਲੁਜੁਧਕੋਕ੍ਰੋਧਕੀਓਰਿਪਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ) ਬਲ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪੂਰਵਕ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ।
Then Krishna gave his own strength to him and shouted in anger
ਲੈਤਿਨਕਾਇਕਹਾਥਹਿਭੀਤਰਚੀਰਦਯੋਇਹਭੇਦਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਤੀਲਾ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੀਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਭੀਮ ਨੇ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਭੇਦ (ਪਾ ਲਿਆ)।
ਤੈਸੇਹੀਭੀਮਨੇਚੀਰਦਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਯੌਮੁਖਤੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥੨੩੨੭॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੀਮ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ (ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੨੩੨੭॥
He took a straw in his hand and cleaved it and saw towards Bhima with mysterious look, Bhima likewise cleaved the king according to the saying of poet Shyam.2327.

ਮਾਰਕੇਭੂਪਗਏਤਿਹਠਾਜਹਬਾਧੇਕਈਪੁਨਿਭੂਪਪਰੇ॥
ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ, ਫਿਰ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਥੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
After killing Jarasandh, they all went to that place, where he had imprisoned many kings
ਹਰਿਦੇਖਤਸੋਕਮਿਟੇਤਿਨਕੇਇਤਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਕੇਦ੍ਰਿਗਲਾਜਭਰੇ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਰਾਜਿਆਂ) ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗ਼ਮ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਧਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨੈਣ ਲਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ।
On seeing the Lord, their sufferings ended, but here the eyes of Krishna were filled with shyness (that he could not get them released earlier)
ਬੰਧਨਜੇਤਿਕਥੇਤਿਨਕੇਸਬਹੀਛਿਨਭੀਤਰਕਾਟਿਡਰੇ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਦਏਛੋਰਸਬੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਕਰੁਨਾਰਸੁਸੋਜਬਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਢਰੇ॥੨੩੨੮॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਰੁਣ ਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਸੀਜ ਗਏ, (ਤਦ) ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨੩੨੮॥
They were liberated form their restraints in an instant and by the grace of Krishna all of them were released.2328.
ਬੰਧਨਕਾਟਿਸਭੈਤਿਨਕੇਤਿਨਕਉਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਇਕਐਸੇਉਚਾਰੋ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਆਨਦਚਿਤਕਰੋਅਪੁਨੇਅਪੁਨੇਚਿਤਕੋਸਭਸੋਕਨਿਵਾਰੋ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੰਨਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗ਼ਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
After freeing them from their bondages, Krishna said to them, “Feeling delight in your mind, without any anxiety,
ਰਾਜਸਮਾਜਜਿਤੋਤੁਮਜਾਇਕੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਧਨੁਧਾਮਸੰਭਾਰੋ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਤਨਾ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਰਾਜ-ਪਾਟ ਹੈ, ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲੋ।
