ਤਨਸਾਵਰੇਰਾਵਰੇਅੰਹੁਲਸੰ॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਂਵਲਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
In the same manner Thy dark body hath its glow.
ਰਦਪੰਗਤਿਦਾਮਿਨੀਅੰਦਮੰਕੰ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ) ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੈ
The chain of Thy teeth glitters like lightning
ਘਟਘੁੰਘਰਘੰਟਸੁਰੰਘਮਕੰ॥੫੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਘੁੰਘਰੂਆਂ ਤੇ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧੁਨੀ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰਜ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ॥੫੮॥
The melody of the small bells and gongs is like the thunder of the clouds. 58.
ਭੁਜੰਗਪ੍ਰਯਾਤਛੰਦ॥
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ:
BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਘਟਾਸਾਵਣੰਜਾਣਸ੍ਯਾਮੰਸੁਹਾਯੰ॥
(ਤੇਰਾ) ਸਾਂਵਲਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਘਟਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
Thy beauty appears elegant like the dark clouds of the month of Sawan
ਮਣੀਨੀਲਨਗਿਯੰਲਖਸੀਸਨਿਆਯੰ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਂਵਲੇ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਨੀਲ ਮਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਂਵਲੇਪਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੀਨ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ)।
Comprehending Thy beautiful form the mountain of blue gems hath bent its head.
ਮਹਾਸੁੰਦਰਸ੍ਯਾਮੰਮਹਾਅਭਿਰਾਮੰ॥
(ਤੇਰਾ) ਮਹਾਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਾਂਵਲਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਭਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
The most beautiful black colour highly fascinates the mind
ਮਹਾਰੂਪਰੂਪੰਮਹਾਕਾਮਕਾਮੰ॥੫੯॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਰੂਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਹਾ ਰੂਪ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਮਹਾ ਕਾਮ ਹੈ ॥੫੯॥
Thou art the most beautiful of the beautiful once and the most passionate of he passionate once.59.
ਫਿਰੈਚਕ੍ਰਚਉਦਹਪੁਰੀਯੰਮਧਿਆਣੰ॥
ਚੌਦਾਂ ਪੁਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ (ਤੇਰਾ) ਚੱਕਰ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Order of KAL is prevalent in all the fourteen worlds.
ਇਸੋਕੌਨਬੀਯੰਫਿਰੈਆਇਸਾਣੰ॥
ਅਜਿਹਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਜੋ (ਤੇਰੀ) ਆਗਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਸਕੇ।
Who is the other one who hath the audacity to refuse His Order?
ਕਹੋਕੁੰਟਕੌਨੇਬਿਖੈਭਾਜਬਾਚੇ॥
ਦਸੋ, ਕਿਹੜੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਲ (ਉਹ) ਭਜ ਕੇ ਬਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Tell me , in which direction you can flee and remain safe?
ਸਭੰਸੀਸਕੇਸੰਗਸ੍ਰੀਕਾਲਨਾਚੈ॥੬੦॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਨਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦॥
Since the KAL dances over the heads of all.60.
ਕਰੇਕੋਟਕੋਊਧਰੈਕੋਟਿਓਟੰ॥
(ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਕੋਈ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਕਿਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਲੈ ਲਏ,
Through one may erect millions of forts and may remain under their protection
ਬਚੈਗੋਨਕਿਉਹੂੰਕਰੈਕਾਲਚੋਟੰ॥
(ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ) ਕਾਲ ਚੋਟ ਕਰੇਗਾ (ਉਹ) ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਗਾ।
Even then in the case of a blow of KAL he will not be saved in any way.
ਲਿਖਜੰਤ੍ਰਕੇਤੇਪੜੰਮੰਤ੍ਰਕੋਟੰ॥
(ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ) ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਯੰਤ੍ਰ ਲਿਖ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਲਏ,
Though one may write many Yantras and recite millions of mantras
ਬਿਨਾਸਰਨਿਤਾਕੀਨਹੀਔਰਓਟੰ॥੬੧॥
ਬਿਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਓਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੬੧॥
Even then he cannot be saved. No other shelter can save one without His refuge.61.
ਲਿਖੰਜੰਤ੍ਰਥਾਕੇਪੜੰਮੰਤ੍ਰਹਾਰੈ॥
ਯੰਤ੍ਰ ਲਿਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਥਕ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ।
The writers of Yantras have grown weary and the reciters of mantras have accepted defeat.
ਕਰੇਕਾਲਕੇਅੰਤਲੈਕੇਬਿਚਾਰੇ॥
ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਤਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ,
But ultimately they all have been destroyed by KAL.
ਕਿਤਿਓਤੰਤ੍ਰਸਾਧੇਜੁਜਨਮਬਿਤਾਇਓ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਧ ਲਏ,
Many Tantras have been tamed and in such endeavours one hath wasted his birth.
ਭਏਫੋਕਟੰਕਾਜਏਕੈਨਆਇਓ॥੬੨॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਨਮ ਹੀ ਬਿਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ (ਉਦਮ) ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਇਕ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ ॥੬੨॥
All have become useless and none hath proved useful.62.
ਕਿਤੇਨਾਸਮੂੰਦੇਭਏਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ॥
ਕਈ ਨਾਸਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ,
Many have become Brahmacharis and have closed their nostrils (in their process of contemplation).
ਕਿਤੇਕੰਠਕੰਠੀਜਟਾਸੀਸਧਾਰੀ॥
ਕਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਧਾਰੀਆਂ,
Many have worn Kanthi (necklace) on their necks and have matted hair on their heads.
ਕਿਤੇਚੀਰਕਾਨੰਜੁਗੀਸੰਕਹਾਯੰ॥
ਕਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਨ ਪੜਵਾ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਯੋਗੀਰਾਜ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ,
Many have got their ears perforated and caused others to call them great Yogis.
ਸਭੇਫੋਕਟੰਧਰਮਕਾਮੰਨਆਯੰ॥੬੩॥
(ਪਰ ਇਹ) ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਫੋਕੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਨੂੰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ॥੬੩॥
All such religious observances were useless and none of them became useful.63.
ਮਧੁਕੀਟਭੰਰਾਛਸੇਸੰਬਲੀਅੰ॥
ਮਧੁ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਟਭ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
There had been mighty demon-kings like Madhu and Kaitabh
ਸਮੇਆਪਨੀਕਾਲਤੇਊਦਲੀਅੰ॥
(ਪਰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਵਾਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The KAL crushed them on their turn.
ਭਏਸੁੰਭਨੈਸੁੰਭਸ੍ਰੋਣੰਤਬੀਜੰ॥
ਸ਼ੁੰਭ, ਨਿਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਅਤੇ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ (ਵਰਗੇ ਰਾਖਸ਼) ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
Then there were Sumbah
ਤੇਊਕਾਲਕੀਨੇਪੁਰੇਜੇਪੁਰੇਜੰ॥੬੪॥
(ਪਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਪੁਰਜ਼ਾ ਪੁਰਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ) ॥੬੪॥
Nisumbh and Sranavat Beef. They were also chopped into bits by KAL.64.
ਬਲੀਪ੍ਰਿਥੀਅੰਮਾਨਧਾਤਾਮਹੀਪੰ॥
ਬਲੀ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਧਾਤਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ
The mighty king Prithu and the great sovereign like Mandhata
ਜਿਨੈਰਥਚਕ੍ਰੰਕੀਏਸਾਤਦੀਪੰ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਰਥ ਦੇ ਪਹੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਤ ਦੀਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ,
Who had demarcated seven continents with his chariot-wheel.
ਭੁਜੰਭੀਮਭਰਥੰਜਗੰਜੀਤਡੰਡਿਯੰ॥
(ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਭੀਮ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੀਆਂ) ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ (ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਤੇ) ਮਹਾਭਾਰਤ (ਦੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ) ਜਗਤ ਜਿਤਣ (ਜਿਤਨਾ ਗੌਰਵ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ) ਅਤੇ (ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
The king Bhim and the Bharat, who had conquered and brought the world under their control with the strength of arms
ਤਿਨੈਅੰਤਕੇਅੰਤਕੌਕਾਲਖੰਡਿਯੰ॥੬੫॥
(ਪਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਯਮਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਕਾਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੬੫॥
. They were all destroyed by KAL when they were nearing their end.65.
ਜਿਨੈਦੀਪਦੀਪੰਦੁਹਾਈਫਿਰਾਈ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੀਪਦੀਪਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਦੁਹਾਈ ਫਿਰਾਈ
He who hath created the frightening dominance of His Name.
ਭੁਜਾਦੰਡਦੈਛੋਣਿਛਤ੍ਰੰਛਿਨਾਈ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਆਪਣੀਆਂ) ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ,
He who had snatched the earth from the Kshatriyas with the strength of staff-like arms.
ਕਰੇਜਗਕੋਟੰਜਸੰਅਨਿਕਲੀਤੇ॥
ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਯੱਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ,
He who had performed millions of Yajnas (sacrifices) and erned multi-faceted approbation.
ਵਹੈਬੀਰਬੰਕੇਬਲੀਕਾਲਜੀਤੇ॥੬੬॥
(ਪਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਂਕੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਜਿਤ ਲਿਆ ॥੬੬॥
Even that winsome warrior (Parasuram) hath been conquered by KAL.66.
ਕਈਕੋਟਲੀਨੇਜਿਨੈਦੁਰਗਢਾਹੇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਕਰੋੜ ਕਿਲੇ ਜਿਤ ਲਏ ਜਾਂ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
Those who had conquered millions of forts and razed them.
ਕਿਤੇਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਨਕੇਸੈਨਗਾਹੇ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਧੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
Those who had treaded the forces of innumerable warriors.
ਕਈਜੰਗਕੀਨੇਸੁਸਾਕੇਪਵਾਰੇ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਲੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਸਾਕੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ (ਰਚਾਏ)
Those who had indulged in many wars events and disputes
ਵਹੈਦੀਨਦੇਖੈਗਿਰੇਕਾਲਮਾਰੇ॥੬੭॥
ਉਹ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਡਿਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੇਖੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੭॥
I have seen them subdued and killed by KAL.67
ਜਿਨੈਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀਕਰੀਕੋਟਿਜੁਗਿਯੰ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਤਕ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ
Those who had ruled for millions of ages
ਰਸੰਆਨਰਸੰਭਲੀਭਾਂਤਿਭੁਗਿਯੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਕਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੇਵਨ ਕੀਤਾ,
And had enjoyed nicely the pleasures and vicious tastes.
ਵਹੈਅੰਤਕੋਪਾਵਨਾਗੇਪਧਾਰੇ॥
ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਨੰਗੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਹੀ ਗਏ,
They had ultimately gone with naked feet. I have seen them having been subdued
ਗਿਰੇਦੀਨਦੇਖੇਹਠੀਕਾਲਮਾਰੇ॥੬੮॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਠੀ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਡਿਗਿਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੬੮॥
Fallen and killed by the persistent KAL.68.
ਜਿਨੈਖੰਡੀਅੰਦੰਡਧਾਰੰਅਪਾਰੰ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਪਾਰ ਦੰਡਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
He who had destroyed many kings
ਕਰੇਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾਸੂਰਚੇਰੇਦੁਆਰੰ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਤੇ ਦਾਸ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ,
He who had enslaved the moon and the sun in his house.
ਜਿਨੈਇੰਦ੍ਰਸੇਜੀਤਕੇਛੋਡਿਡਾਰੇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਵਰਗਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
He (as Ravana) had conquered the god Indra in war
ਵਹੈਦੀਨਦੇਖੇਗਿਰੇਕਾਲਮਾਰੇ॥੬੯॥
ਉਹ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੀਨ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੯॥
And later released him. I have seen (him and Meghnad) being subdued fallen and killed by KAL.69.
