ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਣਾ, ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਰਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹੋਂ ਪੁਟਣਾ (ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਆਦਿ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਭਾ ਹੈ;
Thy Nature from the very beginning is to punish the multitudes of vicious people, to destroy the demons and to uproot the tyrants.

(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਡਉਰੂ ਡਮ ਡਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਬੁਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਫਰਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Thy tabor is played in the battlefield and Thy lion roars and with Thy strength and glory, Thy arms quiver.
ਲੰਕੁੜੀਆਫਾਧੈਆਯੁਧਬਾਂਧੈਸੈਨਬਿਮਰਦਨਕਾਲਅਸੁਰੰ॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਗੇ ਛਾਲਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਹੋਵੇ।
Furnished with armour, Thy soldiers take strides over the field, Thou art the slayer of armies and the death of the demons.
ਅਸਟਾਯੁਧਚਮਕੈਭੂਖਣਦਮਕੈਅਤਿਸਿਤਝਮਕੈਫੁੰਕਫਣੰ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ) ਅੱਠ (ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗਹਿਣੇ ਲਿਸ਼ਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, (ਮਾਨੋ) ਅਤਿ ਚਿੱਟੇ (ਸੱਪ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਫੁੰਕਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
The eight weapons glisten in Thy hands like ornaments; Thou art gleaming like lighting and hissing like snakes.

ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਝੂਲਦੇ ਝੰਡਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੱਪ ਵਾਂਗ ਸ਼ੂਕਦੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
O Goddess! Thou flashest like lightning, Thy flags oscillate, Thy serpents hiss, O Conqueror of the warriors.
ਸਰਧਾਰਬਿਬਰਖਣਿਦੁਸਟਪ੍ਰਕਰਖਣਿਪੁਸਟਪ੍ਰਹਰਖਣਿਦੁਸ਼ਟਮਥੇ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਸੀਟ ਘਸੀਟ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਬਲਵਾਨ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਧਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou causest the rain of the arrows and makest the tyrants trampled in the battlefield; Thou givest great delight to the Yoginin 'pusit', who drank the blood of Raktavija demon and destroyest the scoundrels.

Thou laughest like the flash of lightining, Thou abidest in winsome elegance, Thou givest birth to the world.

ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਜ਼ਾਲਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਵਾਲੀ,
O Deity of profound principles, O Pious-natured Goddess, Thou art the devourer of the demon Raktavija, enhancer of the zeal for warfare and fearless dancer.
ਸ੍ਰੋਣੰਤਅਚਿੰਤੀਅਨਲਬਿਵੰਤੀਜੋਗਜਯੰਤੀਖੜਗਧਰੇ॥
ਲਹੂ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਗਨੀ ਉਗਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਯੋਗ-ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੜਗ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou art the drinker of blood, emitter of fire (from the mouth), the conqueror of Yoga and wielder of the Sword.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰਮਰਦਨਪਾਪਬਿਨਾਸਨਧਰਮਕਰੇ॥੫॥੨੧੫॥
ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ! (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੫॥੨੧੫॥

ਅਘਓਘਨਿਵਾਰਣਿਦੁਸਟਪ੍ਰਜਾਰਣਿਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਉਬਾਰਣਿਸੁੱਧਮਤੇ॥
(ਹੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਮਤ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou art the effacer of all the sins, the burner of the tyrants, Protector of the world and possessor of the world and possessor of pure intellect.
ਫਣੀਅਰਫੁੰਕਾਰਣਿਬਾਘਬਕਾਰਣਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਣਿਸਾਧਮਤੇ॥
(ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਏ) ਫੁੰਕਾਰਦੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਮਤ ਵਾਲੀ,
The snakes hiss (on Thy neck), Thy vehicle, the lion roars, Thou operatest arms, but are of saintly disposition.
ਸੈਹਥੀਸਨਾਹਨਿਅਸਟਪ੍ਰਬਾਹਨਿਬੋਲਨਿਬਾਹਨਿਤੇਜਅਤੁਲੰ॥
ਸੈਹਥੀ (ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਅੱਠਾਂ ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਕਵਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਤੁੱਲ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou earnest arms like 'saihathi' in Thy eight long arms, Thou art True to Thy words and Thy Glory is Immeasurable
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰਮਰਦਨਭੂਮਿਅਕਾਸਪਤਾਲਜਲੰ॥੬॥੨੧੬॥
ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਮੀ, ਆਕਾਸ਼, ਪਾਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ (ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ! ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੬॥੨੧੬॥
Hail, hail, O Slayer of Mahishasura! Pervading in earth, sky, nether-world and water.6.216.
ਚਾਚਰਚਮਕਾਰਨਚਿਛੁਰਹਾਰਨਧੂਮਧੁਕਾਰਨਦ੍ਰਪਮਥੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਚਿੱਛੁਰ ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ (ਬੋਟੀ ਬੋਟੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ;
Thou art the brandisher of the sword, vanquisher of the demon Chichhur. Carder of Dhumar Lochan like cotton and masher of ego.
ਦਾੜ੍ਹੀਪ੍ਰਦੰਤੇਜੋਗਜਯੰਤੇਮਨੁਜਮਥੰਤੇਗੂੜ੍ਹਕਥੇ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ) ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਨਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ (ਸੋਹਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਕੇ) ਦੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਯੋਗਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਗੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੂੜ੍ਹ ਬ੍ਰਿੱਤਾਂਤ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thy teeth are like grains of pomegranate, Thou art the conqueror of the Yoga, masher of men and Deity of profound principles.
ਕਰਮਪ੍ਰਣਾਸਣਿਚੰਦਪ੍ਰਕਾਸਣਿਸੂਰਜਪ੍ਰਤੇਜਣਿਅਸਟਭੁਜੇ॥
ਕਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੂਰਜ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੀਬਰ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਠ ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ,
O the Goddess of eight long arms! Thou art the destroyer of sinful actions with moonlike light and sunlike Glory.

ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਭਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਧੁਜਾ! (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੭॥੨੧੭॥

ਘੁੰਘਰੂਘਮੰਕਣਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਝਮੰਕਣਿਫਣੀਅਰਿਫੁੰਕਾਰਣਿਧਰਮਧੁਜੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੁੰਘਰੂ ਛਣਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੱਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਫੁੰਕਾਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਧੁਜਾ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ,
O Goddess of the banner of Dharma! The bells of Thy anklets clink, Thy arms gleam and Thy serpents hiss.
ਅਸਟਾਟਪ੍ਰਹਾਸਨਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਨਿਵਾਸਨਦੁਸਟਪ੍ਰਨਾਸਨਚੱਕ੍ਰਗਤੇ॥
ਠਾਹ-ਠਾਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਚੱਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਤਿਮਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
O Deity of loud laughter! Thou abidest in the world, destroyest the tryants and movest in all directions.
ਕੇਸਰੀਪ੍ਰਵਾਹੇਸੁੱਧਸਨਾਹੇਅਗਮਅਥਾਹੇਏਕਬ੍ਰਿਤੇ॥
ਸ਼ੇਰ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਪੱਕੇ ਕਵਚ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਗੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਾਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ, ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast the lion as Thy vehicle and art clad in pure armour, Thou art Unapproachable and Unfathomable and the Power of One Transcendent Lord.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰਮਰਦਨਆਦਿਕੁਮਾਰਿਅਗਾਧਬ੍ਰਿਤੇ॥੮॥੨੧੮॥

ਸੁਰਨਰਮੁਨਿਬੰਦਨਦੁਸਟਿਨਿਕੰਦਨਿਭ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਬਿਨਾਸਨਮ੍ਰਿਤਮਥੇ॥
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ, ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੰਦਨਾ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਭ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਸਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
All the gods, men and sages bow before Thee, O the masher of tyrants! Destroyer of the vicious and even the ruinous of Death.
ਕਾਵਰੂਕੁਮਾਰੇਅਧਮਉਧਾਰੇਨਰਕਨਿਵਾਰੇਆਦਿਕਥੇ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਵਰੂ ਦੀ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ (ਕਾਮੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਵੀ!) ਤੂੰ ਨੀਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਨਰਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਸੇ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਵਾਲੀ,
O Virgin Deity of Kamrup! Thou art the liberator of the lowly, Protector from death and called the Primal Entity.
ਕਿੰਕਣੀਪ੍ਰਸੋਹਣਿਸੁਰਨਰਮੋਹਣਿਸਿੰਘਾਰੋਹਣਿਬਿਤਲਤਲੇ॥
ਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਘੁੰਘਰੂਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੜਾਗੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਤਲ (ਦੂਜਾ ਪਾਤਾਲ) ਤਕ ਵਿਚਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast a very beautiful, ornamental string round Thy waist, Thou hast bewitched gods and men, Thou mountest the lion and also pervadest the nether-world.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਸਭਠੌਰਨਿਵਾਸਨਬਾਇਪਤਾਲਅਕਾਸਅਨਲੇ॥੯॥੨੧੯॥
ਪੌਣ, ਪਾਤਾਲ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈਂ, (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੯॥੨੧੯॥
Hail, hail, O All-Pervading Deity! Thou art there in air, nether-world, sky and fire.9.219.
ਸੰਕਟੀਨਿਵਾਰਨਿਅਧਮਉਧਾਰਨਿਤੇਜਪ੍ਰਕਰਖਣਿਤੁੰਦਤਬੇ॥
(ਹੇ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਨੀਚਾਂ ਦਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੀ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ (ਤੁੰਦ) ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou art the remover of suffenings, liberator of the lowly, Supremely Glorious and hast irate disposition.
ਦੁਖਦੋਖਦਹੰਤੀਜ੍ਵਾਲਜਯੰਤੀਆਦਿਅਨਾਦਿਅਗਾਧਿਅਛੇ॥
ਦੁਖਾਂ-ਦੋਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਗਨੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਚਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਆਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਾਧ ਅਤੇ ਅਛੇਦ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou burnest the sufferings and blemisges, Thou art the conqueror of fire, Thou art the Primal, without beginning, Unfathomable and Unassailable.
ਸੁਧਤਾਸਮਰਪਣਿਤਰਕਬਿਤਰਕਣਿਤਪਤਪ੍ਰਤਾਪਣਿਜਪਤਜਿਵੇ॥
ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਅਰਪਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤਪਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੀ, ਜਪਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou blessest with punity, remover of reasonings, and giver of Glory to ascetics engaged in meditation.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਸਸਤ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਕਰਖਣਿਆਦਿਅਨੀਲਅਗਾਧਅਭੇ॥੧੦॥੨੨੦॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਿ, ਅਨੀਲ (ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ) ਅਗਾਧ ਅਤੇ ਅਭੈ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ! (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦॥੨੨੦॥
Hail, hail, O operator of arms! The Primal, Stainless, Unfathomable and Fearless Deity! 10.220.
ਚੰਚਲਾਚਖੰਗੀਅਲਕਭੁਜੰਗੀਤੁੰਦਤੁਰੰਗਣਿਤਿੱਛਸਰੇ॥
ਚੰਚਲ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਫੁਰਤੀਲੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਿਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast agile eyes and limbs, Thy hair are like snakes, Thou hast sharp and pointed arrows and Thou art like a nimble mare.
ਕਰਕਸਾਕੁਠਾਰੇਨਰਕਨਿਵਾਰੇਅਧਮਉਧਾਰੇਤੂਰਭੁਜੇ॥
ਤਿਖਾ ਕੁਹਾੜਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਨਰਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਬੀਆਂ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou art holding an axe in Thy hand, Thou O long-armed Deity! Protectest from hell and liberatest the sinners.
ਦਾਮਨੀਦਮੰਕੇਕੇਹਰਲੰਕੇਆਦਿਅਤੰਕੇਕ੍ਰੂਰਕਥੇ॥
ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਚਮਕ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਰਗੇ ਪਤਲੇ ਲਕ ਵਾਲੀ, ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਕਠੋਰ ਕਥਾ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou gleamest like lightning seated on the back of Thy lion, Thy frightful discourses create a sense of horror.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਰਕਤਾਸੁਰਖੰਡਣਿਸੁੰਭਚਕ੍ਰਤਨਿਸੁੰਭਮਥੇ॥੧੧॥੨੨੧॥
ਰਕਤਬੀਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਨਿਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਧਣ ਵਾਲੀ! (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੧॥੨੨੧॥

ਬਾਰਜਬਿਲੋਚਨਿਬ੍ਰਿਤਨਬਿਮੋਚਨਿਸੋਚਬਿਸੋਚਨਿਕਉਚਕਸੇ॥
(ਹੇ) ਕਮਲ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਫਿਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਵਚ ਕਸਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast lotus-eyes, Thou art, O wearer of armour! The remover of sufferings, griefs and anxieties.
ਦਾਮਨੀਪ੍ਰਹਾਸੇਸੁਕਸਰਨਾਸੇਸੁਬ੍ਰਿਤਸੁਬਾਸੇਦੁਸਟਗ੍ਰਸੇ॥
ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤੋਤੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਨਕ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੁਵ੍ਰਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਪੁਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਸਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast laughter like lightning, and nostrils like parrot; Thou hast superb conduct, and beautiful dress. Thou seizest the tyrants.

ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਾਲੀ, ਵੇਦ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤੇਜ਼ ਘੋੜੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਖੰਡਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast a winsome body like lightning, Thou art associated thematically with Vedas, O demon-destroying Deity! Thou hast very swift horses to ride upon.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰਮਰਦਨਆਦਿਅਨਾਦਿਅਗਾਧਉਰਧੰ॥੧੨॥੨੨੨॥
ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਿ, ਅਨਾਦਿ, ਅਗਾਧ, ਉਪਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਠਣ ਵਾਲੀ! (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੨॥੨੨੨॥
Hail, hail, O Slayer of Mahishasura, the Primal, beginningless, Unfathomable, the Uppermost Deity.12.222.
ਘੰਟਕਾਬਿਰਾਜੈਰੁਣਝੁਣਬਾਜੈਭ੍ਰਮਭੈਭਾਜੈਸੁਨਤਸੁਰੰ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਕ ਨਾਲ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਕਿੰਨਕੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਇਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਵਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਭਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਭੈ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ;
Listening to the tune of the harmonious resounding of the bell (in Thy camp), all the fears and illusions vanish away.
ਕੋਕਲਸੁਨਲਾਜੈਕਿਲਬਿਖਭਾਜੈਸੁਖਉਪਰਾਜੈਮਧਉਰੰ॥
ਉਸ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕੋਇਲ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ (ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ;
The nightingale, listening to the tune, feels inferior; the sins are effaced and joy wells up in the heart.
ਦੁਰਜਨਦਲਦੱਝੈਮਨਤਨਰਿੱਝੈਸਭੈਨਭੱਜੈਰੋਹਰਣੰ॥
(ਹੇ) ਦੁਰਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤਨ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੀਝਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੈ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਭੱਜਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
The forces of the enemies are scoched, their minds and bodies experience great suffening; when Thou showest Thy anger; in the battlefield, the forces cannot even run out of fear.
ਜੈਜੈਹੋਸੀਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰਮਰਦਨਚੰਡਚਕ੍ਰਤਨਆਦਿਗੁਰੰ॥੧੩॥੨੨੩॥
ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਚੰਡ ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਆਦਿ-ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਜੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ! (ਤੇਰੀ) ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੩॥੨੨੩॥
Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura, masher of the demon Chand and worshipped from the very beginning. 13.223.
ਚਾਚਰੀਪ੍ਰਜੋਧਨਦੁਸਟਬਿਰੋਧਨਰੋਸਅਰੋਧਨਕ੍ਰੂਰਬ੍ਰਿਤੇ॥
(ਹੇ) ਚੰਗੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਰੋਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਕਠੋਰ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੀ,
Thou hast superb arms and armour including sword, Thou art the enemy of tyrants, O Deity of frightful remperament: Thou stoppest only in great anger.
