Pauree:
ਠਠਾਮਨੂਆਠਾਹਹਿਨਾਹੀ॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਫਿਰ ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੁਖਾਂਦੇ,
T'HAT'HA: Those who have abandoned all else,
ਜੋਸਗਲਤਿਆਗਿਏਕਹਿਲਪਟਾਹੀ॥
ਜੋ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ (ਮੋਹ) ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੇ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
and who cling to the One Lord alone, do not make trouble for anyone's mind.
ਠਹਕਿਠਹਕਿਮਾਇਆਸੰਗਿਮੂਏ॥
(ਪਰ) ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ) ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਬਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜਦੇ ਹਨ,
Those who are totally absorbed and preoccupied with Maya are dead;
ਉਆਕੈਕੁਸਲਨਕਤਹੂਹੂਏ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ।
they do not find happiness anywhere.
ਠਾਂਢਿਪਰੀਸੰਤਹਸੰਗਿਬਸਿਆ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਠੰਡ ਪਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
One who dwells in the Society of the Saints finds a great peace;
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਨਾਮੁਤਹਾਜੀਅਰਸਿਆ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਮਰਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam becomes sweet to his soul.
ਠਾਕੁਰਅਪੁਨੇਜੋਜਨੁਭਾਇਆ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
That humble being, who is pleasing to his Lord and Master
ਨਾਨਕਉਆਕਾਮਨੁਸੀਤਲਾਇਆ॥੨੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਰੂਪ ਅੱਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ) ਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੮॥
- O Nanak, his mind is cooled and soothed. ||28||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥

ਡੰਡਉਤਿਬੰਦਨਅਨਿਕਬਾਰਸਰਬਕਲਾਸਮਰਥ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I bow down, and fall to the ground in humble adoration, countless times, to the All-powerful Lord, who possesses all powers.
ਡੋਲਨਤੇਰਾਖਹੁਪ੍ਰਭੂਨਾਨਕਦੇਕਰਿਹਥ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਉਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ-) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਥਿੜਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ॥੧॥
Please protect me, and save me from wandering, God. Reach out and give Nanak Your Hand. ||1||

ਡਡਾਡੇਰਾਇਹੁਨਹੀਜਹਡੇਰਾਤਹਜਾਨੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਅਸਲ ਪੱਕੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਵਾਲਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
DADDA: This is not your true place; you must know where that place really is.
ਉਆਡੇਰਾਕਾਸੰਜਮੋਗੁਰਕੈਸਬਦਿਪਛਾਨੁ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਕੀਹ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਹੈ।
You shall come to realize the way to that place, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਇਆਡੇਰਾਕਉਸ੍ਰਮੁਕਰਿਘਾਲੈ॥
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਬੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਘਾਲਾਂ ਘਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
This place, here, is established by hard work,
ਜਾਕਾਤਸੂਨਹੀਸੰਗਿਚਾਲੈ॥
ਪਰ (ਮੌਤ ਆਇਆਂ) ਇਸ ਦਾ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
but not one iota of this shall go there with you.
ਉਆਡੇਰਾਕੀਸੋਮਿਤਿਜਾਨੈ॥
ਉਸ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ-ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
The value of that place beyond is known only to those,
ਜਾਕਉਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਪੂਰਨਭਗਵਾਨੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
upon whom the Perfect Lord God casts His Glance of Grace.
ਡੇਰਾਨਿਹਚਲੁਸਚੁਸਾਧਸੰਗਪਾਇਆ॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਾਲਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
That permanent and true place is obtained in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy;
ਨਾਨਕਤੇਜਨਨਹਡੋਲਾਇਆ॥੨੯॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਇਸ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਡੋਲਦਾ ॥੨੯॥
O Nanak, those humble beings do not waver or wander. ||29||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥

ਢਾਹਨਲਾਗੇਧਰਮਰਾਇਕਿਨਹਿਨਘਾਲਿਓਬੰਧ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ) ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਢਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ, ਕੋਈ ਇਕ ਭੀ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਿਆ,
When the Righteous Judge of Dharma begins to destroy someone, no one can place any obstacle in His Way.
ਨਾਨਕਉਬਰੇਜਪਿਹਰੀਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਸਨਬੰਧ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਤਾ ਜੋੜਿਆ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲੇ ॥੧॥
O Nanak, those who join the Saadh Sangat and meditate on the Lord are saved. ||1||

ਢਢਾਢੂਢਤਕਹਫਿਰਹੁਢੂਢਨੁਇਆਮਨਮਾਹਿ॥
ਹੋਰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਭਾਲ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ)।
DHADHA: Where are you going, wandering and searching? Search instead within your own mind.
ਸੰਗਿਤੁਹਾਰੈਪ੍ਰਭੁਬਸੈਬਨੁਬਨੁਕਹਾਫਿਰਾਹਿ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀ ਜੰਗਲ ਜੰਗਲ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਢੂੰਢਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹੋ?
God is with you, so why do you wander around from forest to forest?
ਢੇਰੀਢਾਹਹੁਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਅਹੰਬੁਧਿਬਿਕਰਾਲ॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ) ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਢੇਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿਉ।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, tear down the mound of your frightful, egotistical pride.
ਸੁਖੁਪਾਵਹੁਸਹਜੇਬਸਹੁਦਰਸਨੁਦੇਖਿਨਿਹਾਲ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਖਿੜ ਪਏਗਾ, ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ, ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਵੋਗੇ।
You shall find peace, and abide in intuitive bliss; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan, you shall be delighted.
ਢੇਰੀਜਾਮੈਜਮਿਮਰੈਗਰਭਜੋਨਿਦੁਖਪਾਇ॥
ਜਿਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਢੇਰੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who has such a mound as this, dies and suffers the pain of reincarnation through the womb.
ਮੋਹਮਗਨਲਪਟਤਰਹੈਹਉਹਉਆਵੈਜਾਇ॥
ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ) ਚੰਬੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who is intoxicated by emotional attachment, entangled in egotism, selfishness and conceit, shall continue coming and going in reincarnation.
ਢਹਤਢਹਤਅਬਢਹਿਪਰੇਸਾਧਜਨਾਸਰਨਾਇ॥
ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਇਸ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Slowly and steadily, I have now surrendered to the Holy Saints; I have come to their Sanctuary.
ਦੁਖਕੇਫਾਹੇਕਾਟਿਆਨਾਨਕਲੀਏਸਮਾਇ॥੩੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ (ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਜੀਆਂ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਾਹੀਆਂ ਕੱਟੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੦॥
God has cut away the noose of my pain; O Nanak, He has merged me into Himself. ||30||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥
Shalok:
ਜਹਸਾਧੂਗੋਬਿਦਭਜਨੁਕੀਰਤਨੁਨਾਨਕਨੀਤ॥
(ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੂਤੋ! ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ, ਜਿਥੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੁਸਾਂ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ।
Where the Holy people constantly vibrate the Kirtan of the Praises of the Lord of the Universe, O Nanak
ਣਾਹਉਣਾਤੂੰਣਹਛੁਟਹਿਨਿਕਟਿਨਜਾਈਅਹੁਦੂਤ॥੧॥
(ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀ ਉਥੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਖ਼ੁਨਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ) ਨਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਬਚਾਂਗਾ, ਨਾਹ ਤੁਸੀ ਬਚੋਗੇ ॥੧॥
- the Righteous Judge says, "Do not approach that place, O Messenger of Death, or else neither you nor I shall escape!" ||1||

ਣਾਣਾਰਣਤੇਸੀਝੀਐਆਤਮਜੀਤੈਕੋਇ॥
ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਉਮੈ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਜੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਏ।
NANNA: One who conquers his own soul, wins the battle of life.
ਹਉਮੈਅਨਸਿਉਲਰਿਮਰੈਸੋਸੋਭਾਦੂਹੋਇ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੇ ਦ੍ਵੈਤ ਨਾਲ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ।
One who dies, while fighting against egotism and alienation, becomes sublime and beautiful.
ਮਣੀਮਿਟਾਇਜੀਵਤਮਰੈਗੁਰਪੂਰੇਉਪਦੇਸ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਅਜਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
One who eradicates his ego, remains dead while yet alive, through the Teachings of the Perfect Guru.
ਮਨੂਆਜੀਤੈਹਰਿਮਿਲੈਤਿਹਸੂਰਤਣਵੇਸ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਬਰਦੀ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੋ।
He conquers his mind, and meets the Lord; he is dressed in robes of honor.
ਣਾਕੋਜਾਣੈਆਪਣੋਏਕਹਿਟੇਕਅਧਾਰ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ-ਪਰਨਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ,
He does not claim anything as his own; the One Lord is his Anchor and Support.
ਰੈਣਿਦਿਣਸੁਸਿਮਰਤਰਹੈਸੋਪ੍ਰਭੁਪੁਰਖੁਅਪਾਰ॥
ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Night and day, he continually contemplates the Almighty, Infinite Lord God.
ਰੇਣਸਗਲਇਆਮਨੁਕਰੈਏਊਕਰਮਕਮਾਇ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ-ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
He makes his mind the dust of all; such is the karma of the deeds he does.
ਹੁਕਮੈਬੂਝੈਸਦਾਸੁਖੁਨਾਨਕਲਿਖਿਆਪਾਇ॥੩੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਭਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਉੱਘੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੧॥
Understanding the Hukam of the Lord's Command, he attains everlasting peace. O Nanak, such is his pre-ordained destiny. ||31||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥

ਤਨੁਮਨੁਧਨੁਅਰਪਉਤਿਸੈਪ੍ਰਭੂਮਿਲਾਵੈਮੋਹਿ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਵੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਅਗੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਧਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ)
I offer my body, mind and wealth to anyone who can unite me with God.
ਨਾਨਕਭ੍ਰਮਭਉਕਾਟੀਐਚੂਕੈਜਮਕੀਜੋਹ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਤੇ ਸਹਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਮ ਦੀ ਘੂਰੀ ਭੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਹਮ ਭੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
O Nanak, my doubts and fears have been dispelled, and the Messenger of Death does not see me any longer. ||1||

ਤਤਾਤਾਸਿਉਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕਰਿਗੁਣਨਿਧਿਗੋਬਿਦਰਾਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਾਇ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ,
TATTA: Embrace love for the Treasure of Excellence, the Sovereign Lord of the Universe.
ਫਲਪਾਵਹਿਮਨਬਾਛਤੇਤਪਤਿਤੁਹਾਰੀਜਾਇ॥
ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅੱਗ ਦੀ) ਤਪਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਗੀ।
You shall obtain the fruits of your mind's desires, and your burning thirst shall be quenched.
