ਅਪਨੀਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕਰਹੁਭਗਵੰਤਾ॥
ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਆਪਣੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ।
Please shower me with Your Mercy, O Lord God!
ਛਾਡਿਸਿਆਨਪਬਹੁਚਤੁਰਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਸਾਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ,
I have given up my excessive cleverness and scheming,
ਸੰਤਨਕੀਮਨਟੇਕਟਿਕਾਈ॥
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਫੜ।
and I have taken the support of the Saints as my mind's support.
ਛਾਰੁਕੀਪੁਤਰੀਪਰਮਗਤਿਪਾਈ॥
ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
Even a puppet of ashes attains the supreme status,
ਨਾਨਕਜਾਕਉਸੰਤਸਹਾਈ॥੨੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਤਾਂ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੩॥
O Nanak, if it has the help and support of the Saints. ||23||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥
Shalok:
ਜੋਰਜੁਲਮਫੂਲਹਿਘਨੋਕਾਚੀਦੇਹਬਿਕਾਰ॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਧੱਕਾ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੜਾ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਸਰੀਰ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Practicing oppression and tyranny, he puffs himself up; he acts in corruption with his frail, perishable body.
ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿਬੰਧਨਪਰੇਨਾਨਕਨਾਮਛੁਟਾਰ॥੧॥
ਉਹ 'ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ' 'ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ' ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਕੜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਛੁਡਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
He is bound by his egotistical intellect; O Nanak, salvation comes only through the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||

Pauree:
ਜਜਾਜਾਨੈਹਉਕਛੁਹੂਆ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ,
JAJJA: When someone, in his ego, believes that he has become something,
ਬਾਧਿਓਜਿਉਨਲਿਨੀਭ੍ਰਮਿਸੂਆ॥
ਉਹ ਇਸ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਇਉਂ ਬੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੋਤਾ (ਚੋਗੇ ਦੇ) ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਲਿਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਫੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
he is caught in his error, like a parrot in a trap.
ਜਉਜਾਨੈਹਉਭਗਤੁਗਿਆਨੀ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਭਗਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ,
When he believes, in his ego, that he is a devotee and a spiritual teacher,
ਆਗੈਠਾਕੁਰਿਤਿਲੁਨਹੀਮਾਨੀ॥
ਤਾਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
then, in the world hereafter, the Lord of the Universe shall have no regard for him at all.
ਜਉਜਾਨੈਮੈਕਥਨੀਕਰਤਾ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਵਖਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
When he believes himself to be a preacher,
ਬਿਆਪਾਰੀਬਸੁਧਾਜਿਉਫਿਰਤਾ॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਫੇਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਫੇਰੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੌਦਾ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਅਗੇ ਹੀ ਵੇਚਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਭੀ ਆਪ ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੱਟਦਾ)।
he is merely a peddler wandering over the earth.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਜਿਹਹਉਮੈਮਾਰੀ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
But one who conquers his ego in the Company of the Holy,
ਨਾਨਕਤਾਕਉਮਿਲੇਮੁਰਾਰੀ॥੨੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੪॥
O Nanak, meets the Lord. ||24||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥
Shalok:
ਝਾਲਾਘੇਉਠਿਨਾਮੁਜਪਿਨਿਸਿਬਾਸੁਰਆਰਾਧਿ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ (ਇਤਨਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਯਾਦ ਕਰ।
Rise early in the morning, and chant the Naam; worship and adore the Lord, night and day.
ਕਾਰ੍ਹਾਤੁਝੈਨਬਿਆਪਈਨਾਨਕਮਿਟੈਉਪਾਧਿ॥੧॥
ਕੋਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ) ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਝਗੜੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹੀ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਇਗਾ ॥੧॥
Anxiety shall not afflict you, O Nanak, and your misfortune shall vanish. ||1||
ਪਉੜੀ॥
Pauree:
ਝਝਾਝੂਰਨੁਮਿਟੈਤੁਮਾਰੋ॥
(ਹੇ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ!) ਤੇਰਾ (ਹਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ) ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਇਗਾ,
JHAJHA: Your sorrows shall depart,
ਰਾਮਨਾਮਸਿਉਕਰਿਬਿਉਹਾਰੋ॥
ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਵਣਜ ਕਰ।
when you deal with the Lord's Name.
ਝੂਰਤਝੂਰਤਸਾਕਤਮੂਆ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜਿਆ ਬੰਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਝੋਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
The faithless cynic dies in sorrow and pain;
ਜਾਕੈਰਿਦੈਹੋਤਭਾਉਬੀਆ॥
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
his heart is filled with the love of duality.
ਝਰਹਿਕਸੰਮਲਪਾਪਤੇਰੇਮਨੂਆ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਝੜ ਜਾਣਗੇ,
Your evil deeds and sins shall fall away, O my mind,
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਥਾਸੰਤਸੰਗਿਸੁਨੂਆ॥
ਸਤਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣ।
listening to the ambrosial speech in the Society of the Saints.
ਝਰਹਿਕਾਮਕ੍ਰੋਧਦ੍ਰੁਸਟਾਈ॥
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
Sexual desire, anger and wickedness fall away,
ਨਾਨਕਜਾਕਉਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਗੁਸਾਈ॥੨੫॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨੫॥
O Nanak, from those who are blessed by the Mercy of the Lord of the World. ||25||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥

ਞਤਨਕਰਹੁਤੁਮਅਨਿਕਬਿਧਿਰਹਨੁਨਪਾਵਹੁਮੀਤ॥
ਹੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ! (ਬੇ-ਸ਼ਕ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਤਨ ਤੁਸੀ ਕਰ ਵੇਖੋ, (ਇਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ) ਟਿਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ।
You can try all sorts of things, but you still cannot remain here, my friend.
ਜੀਵਤਰਹਹੁਹਰਿਹਰਿਭਜਹੁਨਾਨਕਨਾਮਪਰੀਤਿ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਵੋਗੇ, ਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
But you shall live forevermore, O Nanak, if you vibrate and love the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

ਞੰਞਾਞਾਣਹੁਦ੍ਰਿੜੁਸਹੀਬਿਨਸਿਜਾਤਏਹਹੇਤ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਪੱਕੀ ਸਮਝ ਲਵੋ ਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੋਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ;
NYANYA: Know this as absolutely correct, that this ordinary love shall come to an end.
ਗਣਤੀਗਣਉਨਗਣਿਸਕਉਊਠਿਸਿਧਾਰੇਕੇਤ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਕੁ (ਜੀਵ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਨਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
You may count and calculate as much as you want, but you cannot count how many have arisen and departed.
ਞੋਪੇਖਉਸੋਬਿਨਸਤਉਕਾਸਿਉਕਰੀਐਸੰਗੁ॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ (ਅੱਖੀਂ) ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ, (ਫਿਰ) ਪੀਡੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਏ?
Whoever I see shall perish. With whom should I associate?
ਞਾਣਹੁਇਆਬਿਧਿਸਹੀਚਿਤਝੂਠਉਮਾਇਆਰੰਗੁ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ! ਇਉਂ ਠੀਕ ਜਾਣ ਕਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੈ।
Know this as true in your consciousness, that the love of Maya is false.
ਞਾਣਤਸੋਈਸੰਤੁਸੁਇਭ੍ਰਮਤੇਕੀਚਿਤਭਿੰਨ॥
ਅਜੇਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
He alone knows, and he alone is a Saint, who is free of doubt.
ਅੰਧਕੂਪਤੇਤਿਹਕਢਹੁਜਿਹਹੋਵਹੁਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਤ੍ਰੁੱਠਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
He is lifted up and out of the deep dark pit; the Lord is totally pleased with him.
ਞਾਕੈਹਾਥਿਸਮਰਥਤੇਕਾਰਨਕਰਨੈਜੋਗ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਰਥਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਬਬ ਬਣਾਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਭੀ ਹੈ (ਇਹੀ ਇਕ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ, "ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ" ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ)
God's Hand is All-powerful; He is the Creator, the Cause of causes.
ਨਾਨਕਤਿਹਉਸਤਤਿਕਰਉਞਾਹੂਕੀਓਸੰਜੋਗ॥੨੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਹ) ਸਬਬ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੬॥
O Nanak, praise the One, who joins us to Himself. ||26||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥

ਟੂਟੇਬੰਧਨਜਨਮਮਰਨਸਾਧਸੇਵਸੁਖੁਪਾਇ॥
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਮੋਹ-ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
The bondage of birth and death is broken and peace is obtained, by serving the Holy.
ਨਾਨਕਮਨਹੁਨਬੀਸਰੈਗੁਣਨਿਧਿਗੋਬਿਦਰਾਇ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ-ਦਾ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
O Nanak, may I never forget from my mind, the Treasure of Virtue, the Sovereign Lord of the Universe. ||1||

ਟਹਲਕਰਹੁਤਉਏਕਕੀਜਾਤੇਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਨਕੋਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ (ਜਾਚਕ) ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
Work for the One Lord; no one returns empty-handed from Him.
ਮਨਿਤਨਿਮੁਖਿਹੀਐਬਸੈਜੋਚਾਹਹੁਸੋਹੋਇ॥
ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ ਮੂੰਹ-ਮੰਗਿਆ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
When the Lord abides within your mind, body, mouth and heart, then whatever you desire shall come to pass.
ਟਹਲਮਹਲਤਾਕਉਮਿਲੈਜਾਕਉਸਾਧਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ॥
ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੋਵੇ।
He alone obtains the Lord's service, and the Mansion of His Presence, unto whom the Holy Saint is compassionate.
ਸਾਧੂਸੰਗਤਿਤਉਬਸੈਜਉਆਪਨਹੋਹਿਦਇਆਲ॥
ਤੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤਦੋਂ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ।
He joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, only when the Lord Himself shows His Mercy.
ਟੋਹੇਟਾਹੇਬਹੁਭਵਨਬਿਨੁਨਾਵੈਸੁਖੁਨਾਹਿ॥
ਅਸਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
I have searched and searched, across so many worlds, but without the Name, there is no peace.
ਟਲਹਿਜਾਮਕੇਦੂਤਤਿਹਜੁਸਾਧੂਸੰਗਿਸਮਾਹਿ॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਾ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਭੀ ਲਾਂਭੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਭੀ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ)।
The Messenger of Death retreats from those who dwell in the Saadh Sangat.
ਬਾਰਿਬਾਰਿਜਾਉਸੰਤਸਦਕੇ॥
ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Again and again, I am forever devoted to the Saints.
ਨਾਨਕਪਾਪਬਿਨਾਸੇਕਦਿਕੇ॥੨੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਡਿੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੰਦ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੭॥
O Nanak, my sins from so long ago have been erased. ||27||
ਸਲੋਕੁ॥
Shalok:
ਠਾਕਨਹੋਤੀਤਿਨਹੁਦਰਿਜਿਹਹੋਵਹੁਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ (ਕੋਈ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ)।
Those beings, with whom the Lord is thoroughly pleased, meet with no obstacles at His Door.
ਜੋਜਨਪ੍ਰਭਿਅਪੁਨੇਕਰੇਨਾਨਕਤੇਧਨਿਧੰਨਿ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਬੜੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Those humble beings whom God has made His own, O Nanak, are blessed, so very blessed. ||1||
