ਗਿਰੇਬਾਰੁਣੰਬਿਥਰੀਲੁਥਜੁਥੰ॥
ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਥੀ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਖਿੱਲਰੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਖੁਲੇਸੁਰਗਦੁਆਰੰਗਏਵੀਰਅਛੁਥੰ॥੪੧੧॥
ਸੁਅਰਗ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਏ ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਅੰਦਰ ਚਲੇ) ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੧੧॥
Because of the falling arrows, the clusters of corpses re lying scattered and the gates of haven have opened for the brave warriors.411.

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਰਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ,
ਲੰਕਬੰਕਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਭਯੋਦਸਸਿਰਮਹਾਸਕ੍ਰੁਧ॥੪੧੨॥
ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਵਣ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਿਲੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੪੧੨॥
In this way, the army opposing Ram was killed and Ravana, sitting in the beautiful citadel of Lanka got highly infuriated.412.

ਤਬੈਮੁਕਲੇਦੂਤਲੰਕੇਸਅਪੰ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤ ਕੈਲਾਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
ਮਨੰਬਚਕਰਮੰਸਿਵੰਜਾਪਜਪੰ॥
(ਜੋ) ਮਨ, ਬਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਜਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਪਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
Then, remembering the name of Shiva through his mind, speech and action, Ranana, the king of Lanka, sent his messengers to Kumbhkaran.
ਸਭੈਮੰਤ੍ਰਹੀਣੰਸਮੈਅੰਤਕਾਲੰ॥
(ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ) ਅੰਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਜੋਏਕਚਿਤੰਸੁਕਾਲੰਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੰ॥੪੧੩॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੂ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ ॥੪੧੩॥
All of them were without the strength of mantra and knowing about their impending end, they were remembering the one Beneficent Immanent Lord.413.
ਰਥੀਪਾਇਕੰਦੰਤਪੰਤੀਅਨੰਤੰ॥
ਫਿਰ ਰਥਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ, ਪੈਦਲ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ-
ਚਲੇਪਖਰੇਬਾਜਰਾਜੰਸੁਭੰਤੰ॥
ਪਾਖਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜੇ ਰਾਜ-ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਵੀ (ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਣ ਲਈ) ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।
The warriors on foot, on horses, on elephants and in chariots, wearing their armours, marched forward
ਧਸੇਨਾਸਕਾਸ੍ਰੋਣਮਝੰਸੁਬੀਰੰ॥
(ਉਹ ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ) ਨਾਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ
ਬਜੇਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਰੇਡੰਕਡਉਰੂਨਫੀਰੰ॥੪੧੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਡੰਕ, ਡੌਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਧੌਂਸੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹੜੇ ਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਜਾਣ ਲੱਗੇ ॥੪੧੪॥
They all penetrated into the nose and of Kumbhkaran and began to play their tabors and other musical instruments.414.
ਬਜੈਲਾਗਬਾਦੰਨਿਨਾਦੰਤਿਵੀਰੰ॥
ਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ (ਨੇ ਕੰਨ ਪਾੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ) ਸੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਜਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਉਠੈਗਦਸਦੰਨਿਨਦੰਨਫੀਰੰ॥
ਧੌਂਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੀਰਵੀਂ ਸੁਰ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਲੱਗੀ,
The warriors played their musical instruments which resounded at high pitch.
ਭਏਆਕੁਲੰਬਿਆਕਲੰਛੋਰਿਭਾਗਿਅੰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਲੋਕੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਥਾਨ) ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ,
ਬਲੀਕੁੰਭਕਾਨੰਤਊਨਾਹਿਜਾਗਿਅੰ॥੪੧੫॥
ਪਰ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਨਾ ਜਾਗਿਆ ॥੪੧੫॥
All of them, like children, fled in a state of perplexity, but even then the mighty Kumbhkaran did not awake.415.
ਚਲੇਛਾਡਿਕੈਆਸਪਾਸੰਨਿਰਾਸੰ॥
ਜਾਗਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ) ਚਲੇ ਗਏ।
ਭਏਭ੍ਰਾਤਕੇਜਾਗਬੇਤੇਉਦਾਸੰ॥
ਭਰਾ ਦੇ (ਨਾ) ਜਾਗਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
Finding themselves helpless in not being able to awaken Kumbhkaran, all of them felt disappointed and started going away and become anxious on becoming unsuccessful in their endeavour
ਤਬੈਦੇਵਕੰਨਿਆਕਰਿਯੋਗੀਤਗਾਨੰ॥
ਤਦੇ ਦੇਵ ਕੰਨਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
ਉਠਯੋਦੇਵਦੋਖੀਗਦਾਲੀਸਪਾਨੰ॥੪੧੬॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨ ਜਾਗ ਪਿਆ। (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਦਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਈ ॥੪੧੬॥
Then the daughters of gods i.e. Kumbhkaran awoke and took his mace in his hand.416.
ਕਰੋਲੰਕਦੇਸੰਪ੍ਰਵੇਸੰਤਿਸੂਰੰ॥
ਲੰਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਰਮੇ 'ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨ' ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ,
ਬਲੀਬੀਸਬਾਹੰਮਹਾਸਸਤ੍ਰਪੂਰੰ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ) ਵੀਹਾਂ ਬਾਹਵਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਵਣ) ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
That mighty warrior entered Lanka, where there was the mighty hero Ravana of twenty arms, bedecked with great weapons.
