ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਝਲਕਾਰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਾਨੋ ਝੜ ਵੇਲੇ ਝੁਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਝਲਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩੯੧॥
Which are falling with sound like the lightning from the sky.391.
ਨਾਗੜਦੀਨਾਰਾਤਕਗਿਰਤਦਾਗੜਦੀਦੇਵਾਤਕਧਾਯੋ॥
ਨਰਾਂਤਕ ਦੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਤਕ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਿਆ
When Narantak fell down, Devantak ran forward,
ਜਾਗੜਦੀਜੁਧਕਰਿਤੁਮਲਸਾਗੜਦੀਸੁਰਲੋਕਸਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਤੁਮਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਰ-ਲੋਕ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
And fighting bravely left for heven
ਦਾਗੜਦੀਦੇਵਰਹਸੰਤਆਗੜਦੀਆਸੁਰਣਰਣਸੋਗੰ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਦੇਵਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਗ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ।
On seeing this the gods were filled with joy and there was anguish in the army of demos
ਸਾਗੜਦੀਸਿਧਸਰਸੰਤਨਾਗੜਦੀਨਾਚਤਤਜਿਜੋਗੰ॥
ਸਿੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤ (ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਸਮਾਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਨਾਚ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
The Siddhas (adepts) and saints, forsaking their Yoga contemplation, began to dance
ਖੰਖਾਗੜਦੀਖਯਾਹਭਏਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿਖਲਪਾਗੜਦੀਪੁਹਪਡਾਰਤਅਮਰ॥
(ਜਦ) ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਤਾਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਵਰਸਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ
There was destruction of the army of demons and the gods showered flowers,
ਜੰਜਾਗੜਦੀਸਕਲਜੈਜੈਜਪੈਸਾਗੜਦੀਸੁਰਪੁਰਹਿਨਾਰਨਰ॥੩੯੨॥
ਸੁਅਰਗ ਲੋਕ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਜੱਪ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੨॥
And the males and females of the city of gods hailed the victory.392.
ਰਾਗੜਦੀਰਾਵਣਹਿਸੁਨਯੋਸਾਗੜਦੀਦੋਊਸੁਤਰਣਜੁਝੇ॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੂਝ ਮੋਏ ਹਨ।
Ravana also heard that both his sons, and many other warriors had died while fighting
ਬਾਗੜਦੀਬੀਰਬਹੁਗਿਰੇਆਗੜਦੀਆਹਵਹਿਅਰੁਝੇ॥
(ਹੋਰ ਵੀ) ਬਹੁਤ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, (ਅਤੇ ਕਈ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
The corpses lie scattered in the battlefield and the vultures, while tearing away the flesh, are shrieking
ਲਾਗੜਦੀਲੁਥਬਿਥੁਰੀਚਾਗੜਦੀਚਾਵੰਡਚਿੰਕਾਰੰ॥
ਲੋਥਾਂ ਖਿੰਡੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
The streams of blood have flowed in the battlefield,
ਨਾਗੜਦੀਨਦਭਏਗਦਕਾਗੜਦੀਕਾਲੀਕਿਲਕਾਰੰ॥
(ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ) ਮਿਝ (ਗਦ) ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਕਿਲਕਾਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
And the goddess Kali is raising horrible shots
ਭੰਭਾਗੜਦੀਭਯੰਕਰਜੁਧਭਯੋਜਾਗੜਦੀਜੂਹਜੁਗਣਜੁਰੀਅ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ) ਜੋਗਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਜੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
There has been a frightening war and the Yoginis, having gathered for drinking blood,
ਕੰਕਾਗੜਦੀਕਿਲਕਤਕੁਹਰਕਰਪਾਗੜਦੀਪਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਰੋਣਤਭਰੀਅ॥੩੯੩॥
ਜੋ ਕੂਹ-ਕੂਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਲਕਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਖੋਪਰ ਭਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੩॥
And having filled their bowls, they are shrieking violently.393.

ਪਾਗੜਦੀਪ੍ਰਹਸਤਪਠਿਯੋਦਾਗੜਦੀਦੈਕੈਦਲਅਨਗਨ॥
ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ (ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ) 'ਪ੍ਰਹਸਤ' ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਕਾਗੜਦੀਕੰਪਭੂਅਉਠੀਬਾਗੜਦੀਬਾਜੀਯਖੁਰੀਅਨਤਨ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ) ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤ ਕੰਬ ਗਈ।
Then Ravana sent innumerable soldiers with Prahasta for waging the war and the earth trembled under the impact of horses hoofs.
ਨਾਗੜਦੀਨੀਲਤਿਹਝਿਣਯੋਭਾਗੜਦੀਗਹਿਭੂਮਿਪਛਾੜੀਅ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ) 'ਨੀਲ' ਨੇ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਝਟਕਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਟਕਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
ਸਾਗੜਦੀਸਮਰਹਹਕਾਰਦਾਗੜਦੀਦਾਨਵਦਲਭਾਰੀਅ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਖਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਾਹਾ-ਕਾਰ ਮਚ ਗਈ।
Neel entangled himself with him and threw him on the ground and there was great lamentation in the demon forces.
ਘੰਘਾਗੜਦੀਘਾਇਭਕਭਕਕਰਤਰਾਗੜਦੀਰੁਹਿਰਰਣਰੰਗਬਹਿ॥
ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭਕ-ਭਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਹੂ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੰਜਾਗੜਦੀਜੁਯਹਜੁਗਣਜਪੈਕਾਗੜਦੀਕਾਕਕਰਕਰਕਕਹ॥੩੯੪॥
ਜੋਗਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਜਪ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂ ਚੀਰਵੀਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਂ-ਕਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੪॥
The wounds were inflicted from which the blood oozed out and flowed. The gatherings of Yoginis began to recite (their mantras) and the cawing of the crows was heard.394.
ਫਾਗੜਦੀਪ੍ਰਹਸਤਜੁਝੰਤਲਾਗੜਦੀਲੈਚਲਯੋਅਪਦਲ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਪ੍ਰਹਸਤ ਜੂਝਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲਿਆ,
ਭਾਗੜਦੀਭੂਮਿਭੜਹੜੀਕਾਗੜਦੀਕੰਪੀਦੋਈਜਲਥਲ॥
(ਤਦੋਂ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਫੜਾ-ਦਫੜੀ ਪਸਰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਲ ਥਲ ਕੰਬ ਗਏ।
Fighting very bravely alongwith his forces, Prahasta advance forward and with his movement the earth and the water felt a sensation
ਨਾਗੜਦੀਨਾਦਨਿਹਨਦਭਾਗੜਦੀਰਣਭੇਰਿਭਯੰਕਰ॥
ਧੌਂਸਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਘੋਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੂੰਜ ਨਿਕਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
There was dreadful sound and the dreadful resonance of drums was heard
ਸਾਗੜਦੀਸਾਗਝਲਹਲਤਚਾਗੜਦੀਚਮਕੰਤਚਲਤਸਰ॥
ਬਰਛੇ ਝਿਲਮਿਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੀਰ ਚਮਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The lances glittered and the shining arrows were discharged
ਖੰਖਾਗੜਦੀਖੇਤਿਖੜਗਖਿਮਕਤਖਹਤਚਾਗੜਦੀਚਟਕਚਿਨਗੈਂਕਢੈ॥
ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਖਹਿਬੜਣ ਲੱਗ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਚਿਣਗਾਂ ਕੱਢਣ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
There was rattling of spears and with their blows on the shields the sparks arose
ਠੰਠਾਗੜਦੀਠਾਟਠਟਕਰਮਨੋਠਾਗੜਦੀਠਣਕਠਠਿਅਰਗਢੈ॥੩੯੫॥
(ਢਾਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਨਾਲ) ਠਕ-ਠਕ (ਸ਼ਬਦ ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਠਠਿਆਰ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਘੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੩੯੫॥
Such a knocking sound was heard the sparks arose such a knocking sound was heard as though a tinker was fashioning a utensil.395.
ਢਾਗੜਦੀਢਾਲਉਛਲਹਿਬਾਗੜਦੀਰਣਬੀਰਬਬਕਹਿ॥
(ਕਿਧਰੇ) ਢਾਲਾਂ ਉਛਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਕਿਧਰੇ) ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਬੁਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
The shields sprang up and the warriors began to shout at each other with one tone
ਆਗੜਦੀਇਕਲੈਚਲੈਂਇਕਕਹੁਇਕਉਚਕਹਿ॥
ਇਕਨਾਂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਯੋਧੇ ਲੈ ਚਲੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਉਛਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The weapons were struck and they rose high and then fell down.
ਤਾਗੜਦੀਤਾਲਤੰਬੂਰੰਬਾਗੜਦੀਰਣਬੀਨਸੁਬਜੈ॥
ਛੈਣੇ, ਛੋਟੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਨਾ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਜ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
It appeared that the stringed musical instruments and lyers were played in one tune
ਸਾਗੜਦੀਸੰਖਕੇਸਬਦਗਾਗੜਦੀਗੈਵਰਗਲਗਜੈ॥
(ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ) ਸੰਖ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ) ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੰਗਾੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
The sound of the conches thundered all around
ਧੰਧਾਗੜਦੀਧਰਣਿਧੜਧੁਕਿਪਰਤਚਾਗੜਦੀਚਕਤਚਿਤਮਹਿਅਮਰ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਧੜਕਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੰਪਾਗੜਦੀਪੁਹਪਬਰਖਾਕਰਤਜਾਗੜਦੀਜਛਗੰਧ੍ਰਬਬਰ॥੩੯੬॥
ਜੱਛ ਤੇ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੬॥
The heart of he beat and seeing the dreadfulness of war the gods also wondered and the Yakshas, Gandharvas etc. began to shower flowers.396.
ਝਾਗੜਦੀਝੁਝਭਟਗਿਰੈਂਮਾਗੜਦੀਮੁਖਮਾਰਉਚਾਰੈ॥
ਸੂਰਮੇ ਜੂਝ ਕੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਮਾਰੋ-ਮਾਰੋ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
The warriors even falling down began to shout “Kill, Kill” from their mouths
ਸਾਗੜਦੀਸੰਜਪੰਜਰੇਘਾਗੜਦੀਘਣੀਅਰਜਣੁਕਾਰੈ॥
(ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਜੋ ਕਵਚ (ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਉਹ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਲੇ ਸੱਪ ਹੋਣ।
Wearing their gauzy armours they appeared like the waving dark clouds
ਤਾਗੜਦੀਤੀਰਬਰਖੰਤਗਾਗੜਦੀਗਹਿਗਦਾਗਰਿਸਟੰ॥
ਕਈ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਕਈ) ਭਾਰੀ ਗਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਾਗੜਦੀਮੰਤ੍ਰਮੁਖਜਪੈਆਗੜਦੀਅਛਰਬਰਇਸਟੰ॥
(ਕਈ) ਮੁਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਤਰ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ (ਕਈ ਆਪਣੇ) ਇਸ਼ਟ ਦੀ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
There was shower of maces and arrows and the heavenly damsels began to recite mantras in order to wed their dear warriors.
ਸੰਸਾਗੜਦੀਸਦਾਸਿਵਸਿਮਰਕਰਜਾਗੜਦੀਜੂਝਜੋਧਾਮਰਤ॥
(ਕਈ) ਸੱਚਾ-ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਯੋਧੇ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੰਸਾਗੜਦੀਸੁਭਟਸਨਮੁਖਗਿਰਤਆਗੜਦੀਅਪਛਰਨਕਹਬਰਤ॥੩੯੭॥
(ਜੋ) ਸੂਰਮੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਅਪਸਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੭॥
The heroes remembered Shiva and died while fighting and on their falling down the heavenly damsels advanced to wed them.397.

BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਇਤੈਉਚਰੇਰਾਮਲੰਕੇਸਬੈਣੰ॥
ਇਧਰ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਨੂੰ (ਲੰਕਾ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ) ਬੋਲ ਕਹੇ ਹਨ
ਉਤੈਦੇਵਦੇਖੈਚੜੈਰਥਗੈਣੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਧਰ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਰਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
On this side there is dialogue between Ram and Ravana and on the other side the gods mounted on their chariots in the sky are looking at this scene.
ਕਹੋਏਕਏਕੰਅਨੇਕੰਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੰ॥
(ਹੇ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ) ਇਕ-ਇਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਿਚਯ ਦਿਓ,
ਮਿਲੇਜੁਧਜੇਤੇਸਮੰਤੰਲੁਝਾਰੰ॥੩੯੮॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਲੜਾਕੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੮॥
All those warriors who are fighting in the battlefield, they can be described one by one in various ways.398.

ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਲਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਟਾ ਛੱਤਰ ਛੁਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
He, who has the spherical bow and on whose head the white canopy is rotating like a letter of victory
