ਏਕਏਕੰਹਿਰੈਂਝੂਮਝੂਮੰਮਰੈਂਆਪੁਆਪੰਗਿਰੈਂਹਾਕੁਮਾਰੇ॥
(ਮੇਰੀ ਇਕ) ਹਾਕ ਮਾਰਨ 'ਤੇ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ, ਘੁਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਖਾ-ਖਾ ਕੇ ਮਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ।
I shall search for each one and kill him, and all of them will fall down on listening to my challenge
ਲਾਗਜੈਹਉਤਹਾਭਾਜਜੈਹੈਜਹਾਫੂਲਜੈਹੈਕਹਾਤੈਉਬਾਰੇ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਉਥੇ ਹੀ, (ਮੈਂ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਫੁੱਲ ਵਰਗੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਚਾਓ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਗੇ।
Wherever they will run to, shall pursue them and reach there, they shall not be able to conceal themselves.
ਸਾਜਬਾਜੇਸਭੈਆਜਲੈਹਉਾਂਤਿਨੈਰਾਜਕੈਸੋਕਰੈਕਾਜਮੋਸੋ॥
ਅੱਜ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਜ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਭਾਏ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਵੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

ਬਾਨਰੰਛੈਕਰੋਰਾਮਲਛੈਹਰੋਜੀਤਹੌਹੋਡਤਉਤਾਨਤੋਸੋ॥੩੮੭॥
ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਲੱਛਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਤਦ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ 'ਹੋਡ' (ਸ਼ਰਤ) ਜਿੱਤਾਂਗਾ ॥੩੮੭॥
I shall destroy the army of monkeys, I shall kill ram and Lakshman and after conquering them I shall break to pieces your arrogance.387.
ਕੋਟਿਬਾਤੈਗੁਨੀਏਕਕੈਨਾਸੁਨੀਕੋਪਿਮੁੰਡੀਧੁਨੀਪੁਤਪਠੈ॥
ਮੰਦੋਦਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚਿਤਵੀਆਂ। ਪਰ (ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰ ਫੇਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ) ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਏਕਨਾਰਾਤਦੇਵਾਤਦੂਜੋਬਲੀਭੂਮਕੰਪੀਰਣੰਬੀਰਉਠੈ॥
ਇਕ ਬਲਵਾਨ 'ਨਰਾਂਤ' ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ 'ਦੇਵਾਂਤ' ਸੀ। (ਜਦੋਂ) ਸੂਰਮੇ ਰਣ ਲਈ ਉੱਠੇ, (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਕੰਬ ਗਈ।

ਸਾਰਭਾਰੰਪਰੇਧਾਰਧਾਰੰਬਜੀਕ੍ਰੋਹਕੈਲੋਹਕੀਛਿਟਛੁਟੈਂ॥
ਭਾਰੇ ਖੜਗ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਾਰ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗੀ। ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਛਿੱਟਾਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਵੱਲ ਉੱਡਣ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ।

ਰੁੰਡਧੁਕਧੁਕਪਰੈਘਾਇਭਕਭਕਕਰੈਬਿਥਰੀਜੁਥਸੋਲੁਥਲੁਟੈਂ॥੩੮੮॥
ਉਥੇ) ਧੜ ਧੁਕ-ਧੁਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ (ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲਹੂ) ਭਕ-ਭਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਲੋਥਾਂ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੰਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਢੇਰ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੩੮੮॥

ਪਤ੍ਰਜੁਗਣਭਰੈਸਦਦੇਵੀਕਰੈਨਦਭੈਰੋਰਰੈਗੀਤਗਾਵੈ॥
ਖ਼ੂਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੋਗਣਾਂ ਖੱਪਰ ਭਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਦੁਰਗਾ ਸੱਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਭੈਰੋ ਸਿੰਘ-ਨਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਿਸ਼ਾਚਨੀਆਂ) ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਜੱਛ, ਗੰਧਰਬ, ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਧਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਦ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਲੁਥਬਿਦੁਥਰੀਹੂਹਕੂਹੰਭਰੀਮਚੀਯੰਜੁਧਅਨੂਪਅਤੇਵੰ॥੩੮੯॥
ਲੋਥਾਂ ਖਿੰਡੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸ਼ੋਰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬਾ ਮਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਯੁੱਧ (ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ॥੩੮੯॥

(ਇਥੇ ਹਰ ਚਰਣ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਦੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸਾਗੜਦੀਸੂਰਸੰਮੁਹੇਨਾਗੜਦੀਨਾਰਦਮੁਨਿਨਚਯੋ॥
ਯੋਧੇ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰਦ ਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ ਨਾਚ ਸ਼ੂਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Seeing the warriors fighting with each other the sage Narad danced with joy
ਬਾਗੜਦੀਬੀਰਬੈਤਾਲਆਗੜਦੀਆਰਣਰੰਗਰਚਯੋ॥
ਬੀਰ ਬੈਤਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ (ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਫਾਗੜਦੀਫੁੰਕਫਿੰਕਰੀਰਾਗੜਦੀਰਣਗਿਧਰੜਕੈ॥
ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਦੜੀਆਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਰਝਾਂ ਬੋਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

There is shower of the arrows and the glimmer of the swords is visible
ਗਾਗੜਦੀਗਜਸੰਜਰੈਕਾਗੜਦੀਕਛੇਕਿੰਕਾਣੰ॥
ਹਾਥੀ ਘੁਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਘੋੜੇ ਬਿਦਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The elephants are thundering and the horses are running amuck
ਬੰਬਾਗੜਦੀਬਹਤਬੀਰਨਸਿਰਨਤਾਗੜਦੀਤਮਕਿਤੇਗੰਕੜੀਅ॥
ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਠੋਰ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
