ਵੇਜੁਧਜੀਤਤੇਜਾਹਿਗੇਕਹਾਦੋਇਤੇਦੀਨਨਰ॥੩੭੭॥
ਕੀ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਦੀਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਜਾਣਗੇ ॥੩੭੭॥
The person about whom you are talking, both of them are very low and helpless men, how shall then they win the war?377.
ਕਹਿਹਾਰਯੋਕਪਿਕੋਟਿਦਈਤਪਤਿਏਕਨਮਾਨੀ॥
ਕਪੀ (ਅੰਗਦ) ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੀ।
Angad, the monkey-chief, advice Ravana several times, but he did not accept his advice.
ਉਠਤਪਾਵਰੁਪਿਯੋਸਭਾਮਧਿਸੋਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ॥
(ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ) ਉਹ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ (ਅੰਗਦ) ਨੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੈਰ ਗੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ-ਜੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੈਰ ਉਖਾੜ ਕੇ ਪੁੱਟ ਸਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ। ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰ ਪੁੱਟਣ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।)
When he got up, he firmly planted his foot in the assembly and challenged them to remove his foot (from the floor)
ਥਕੇਸਕਲਅਸੁਰਾਰਪਾਵਕਿਨਹੂੰਨਉਚਕਯੋ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਗਾ ਥੱਕੇ, ਪਰ (ਅੰਗਦ ਦਾ ਪੈਰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਉਖੜਿਆ।
None of the demons could do that and accepted defeat
ਗਿਰੇਧਰਨਮੁਰਛਾਇਬਿਮਨਦਾਨਵਦਲਥਕਯੋ॥
ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਥੱਕ ਕੇ ਅਣਮੰਨੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ।
Many of them fell down unconscious because of their spent-up strength.
ਲੈਚਲਯੋਬਭੀਛਨਭ੍ਰਾਤਤਿਹਬਾਲਪੁਤ੍ਰਧੂਸਰਬਰਨ॥
ਧੂੰਏ ਜਿਹੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਅੰਗਦ) (ਰਾਵਣ ਦੇ) ਭਰਾ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਨੂੰ ਉਥੋਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਚਲਿਆ।
That earthen-coloured Angad left the court of Ravana alongwith Vibhishan.
ਭਟਹਟਕਬਿਕਟਤਿਹਨਾਸਕੇਚਲਿਆਯੋਜਿਤਰਾਮਰਨ॥੩੭੮॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਰਾਵਣ ਦੇ) ਕਠੋਰ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਵੀ ਰੋਕ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ, ਉਹ ਉਥੇ ਚਲਾ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿਥੇ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਰਣ-ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੋਭਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੩੭੮॥
When the demons tried to obstruct him, he routed and destroyed them and winning the battle in favour of Ram, he came to him.378.
ਕਹਿਬੁਲਯੋਲੰਕੇਸਤਾਹਿਪ੍ਰਭਰਾਜੀਵਲੋਚਨ॥
ਕਮਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਨੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ) ਨੂੰ 'ਲੰਕੇਸ਼' ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।
Angad said on reaching, “O lotus-eyed Ram! the king of Lanka has called you for war.”
ਕੁਟਲਅਲਕਮੁਖਛਕੇਸਕਲਸੰਤਨਦੁਖਮੋਚਨ॥
(ਰਾਮ ਦੇ) ਮੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਟੇਢੀਆਂ ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਾਂ ਫਬ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਉਹ) ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
At that time some curly locks of hair were walking and looking at the beauty of his anguished face
ਕੁਪੈਸਰਬਕਪਿਰਾਜਬਿਜੈਪਹਲੀਰਣਚਖੀ॥
ਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਦਰ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹਨ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
The monkeys who had been victorious over Ravana earlier, were highly enraged on listening to the word of Angad about Ravana.
ਫਿਰੈਲੰਕਗੜਿਘੇਰਿਦਿਸਾਦਛਣੀਪਰਖੀ॥
ਫਿਰ ਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਖਿਆ।
They marched towards the South in order to advance towards Lanka.
ਪ੍ਰਭਕਰੈਬਭੀਛਨਲੰਕਪਤਿਸੁਣੀਬਾਤਿਰਾਵਣਘਰਣਿ॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਘਰ ਵਾਲੀ (ਮੰਦੋਦਰੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ) ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਕਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ('ਲੰਕੇਸ਼') ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
When, on this side Mandodari, the wife of Ravana, learnt about the scheme of Ram for making Vibhishana the king of Lanka,
ਸੁਧਿਸਤਤਬਿਬਿਸਰਤਭਈਗਿਰੀਧਰਣਪਰਹੁਐਬਿਮਣ॥੩੭੯॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਧਾਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਈ ॥੩੭੯॥
She fell down unconscious on the earth.379.

ਸੂਰਬੀਰ (ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਭਿਆਨਕ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੇਵ! ਭੱਜ ਜਾਓ, ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਾਮ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
The warriors are decorating themselves and the horrible battle-drums are resounding, O my husband! You may flee for your safety because Ram has arrived
ਬਾਲਮਾਰਯੋਬਲੀਸਿੰਧਪਾਟਯੋਜਿਨੈਤਾਹਿਸੌਬੈਰਿਕੈਸੇਰਚਾਏ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਬਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੁੱਲ ਬੰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਵੈਰ ਰਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ?
He who has killed Bali, who has splitted the sea and created the passage, why have you created enmity with him?
ਬਯਾਧਜੀਤਯੋਜਿਨੈਜੰਭਮਾਰਯੋਉਨੈਰਾਮਅਉਤਾਰਸੋਈਸੁਹਾਏ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ 'ਬਿਰਾਧ' ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਜੰਭਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਓਹੀ ਸੋਭਾਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹਨ।
He, who has killed Byadh and Jambasur, it is the same power, which has manifested itself as Ram
ਦੇਮਿਲੋਜਾਨਕੀਬਾਤਹੈਸਿਆਨਕੀਚਾਮਕੇਦਾਮਕਾਹੇਚਲਾਏ॥੩੮੦॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਓ, ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਮ ਦੇ ਦੰਮ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਚਲਾਏ ਹਨ ॥੩੮੦॥
Return Sita to him and see him, this is the only wise thing, do not try to introduce the coins of leather.380.
ਰਾਵਣਬਾਚ॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ-

ਬਯੂਹਸੈਨਾਸਜੋਘੋਰਬਾਜੇਬਜੋਕੋਟਿਜੋਧਾਗਜੋਆਨਨੇਰੇ॥
ਮੈਂ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਵਯੂਹ ਸਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਭਿਆਨਕ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਣਗੇ, ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਯੋਧੇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਗੱਜਣਗੇ।
Even if there is siege of army on all the four sides and there may be the resonance of horrible sound of war-drums and millions of warriors may roar near me
ਸਾਜਸੰਜੋਅਸੰਬੂਹਸੈਨਾਸਭੈਆਜਮਾਰੋਤਰੈਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਤੇਰੇ॥
ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਚ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ (ਮੈਂ) ਅੱਜ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
Even then I shall, on wearing my armours, destroy them within your sight
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਜੀਤੋਕਰੋਜਛਰੀਤੋਧਨੰਨਾਰਿਸੀਤਾਬਰੰਜੀਤਜੁਧੈ॥
(ਵੇਖੀਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਇੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੱਛਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਸੀਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
I shall conquer Indra and loot all she treasure of Yaksha and after winning the war, I shall wed Sita.
ਸੁਰਗਪਾਤਾਲਆਕਾਸਜੁਆਲਾਜਰੈਬਾਚਿਹੈਰਾਮਕਾਮੋਰਕ੍ਰੂਧੈ॥੩੮੧॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਅਰਗ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਸੜਣਗੇ। ਤਾਂ ਕੀ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ) ਰਾਮ ਬਚ ਜਾਏਗਾ ॥੩੮੧॥
If with the fire of my fury, when the sky, netherworld and heaven burn, then how Ram will remain safe before me?381.

ਤਾਰਕਾਜਾਤਹੀਘਾਤਕੀਨੀਜਿਨੈਅਉਰਸੁਬਾਹਮਾਰੀਚਮਾਰੇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਤਾੜਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਬਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਮਾਰੀਚ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
He who has killed Taraka, Subahu and Marich,
ਬਯਾਧਬਧਯੋਖਰੰਦੂਖਣੰਖੇਤਥੈਏਕਹੀਬਾਣਸੋਂਬਾਲਮਾਰੇ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਬਿਰਾਧ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ, 'ਖਰ' ਤੇ ਦੂਖਣ' ਖੇਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਤੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And also killed Viradh and Khar-Dushan, and killed Bali with one arrow
ਧੁਮ੍ਰਅਛਾਦਅਉਜਾਬੁਮਾਲੀਬਲੀਪ੍ਰਾਣਹੀਣੰਕਰਯੋਜੁਧਜੈਕੈ॥
'ਧੁਮ੍ਰ-ਅੱਛ' 'ਜਾਂਬਮਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੀ (ਅਕੰਪਨ) ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
He who has destroyed Dhumraksha and Jambumali in the war,
ਮਾਰਿਹੈਂਤੋਹਿਯੌਸਯਾਰਕੇਸਿੰਘਜਯੋਲੇਹਿਗੇਲੰਕਕੋਡੰਕਦੈਕੈ॥੩੮੨॥
ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਗਿੱਦੜ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਂਗ (ਓਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ) ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ 'ਧੌਸਾ' ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਲੰਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਣਗੇ ॥੩੮੨॥
He will conquer you by challenging you and kill you like a lion killing a jackal.382.

ਰਾਵਣ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ-

ਚਉਰਚੰਦ੍ਰੰਕਰੰਛਤ੍ਰਸੂਰੰਧਰੰਬੇਦਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਰਰੰਦੁਆਰਮੇਰੇ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ 'ਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਚੌਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੂਰਜ ਛੱਤਰ ਧਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਵੇਦ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।
The moon waves the fly-whisk over my head, the sun catches hold of my canopy and Brahma recites Vedas at my gate
ਪਾਕਪਾਵਕਕਰੰਨੀਰਬਰਣੰਭਰੰਜਛਬਿਦਿਆਧਰੰਕੀਨਚੇਰੇ॥
ਅਗਨੀ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਰਸੋਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਰੁਣ (ਦੇਵਤਾ) ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੱਛ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਧਰ (ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
The god of fire prepares my food, the god Varuna brings water for me and the Yakshas teach various sciences
ਅਰਬਖਰਬੰਪੁਰੰਚਰਬਸਰਬੰਕਰੇਦੇਖੁਕੈਸੇਕਰੌਬੀਰਖੇਤੰ॥
ਅਰਬਾਂ ਖਰਬਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਮੈਂ) ਚੱਬ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ) ਵੇਖੇਂਗੀ (ਜੇ ਮੈਂ) ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਵੀਰਤਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I have enjoyed the comforts of millions of heavens, you may see how I kill the warriors
ਚਿੰਕਹੈਚਾਵਡਾਫਿੰਕਹੈਫਿਕਰੀਨਾਚਹੈਬੀਰਬੈਤਾਲਪ੍ਰੇਤੰ॥੩੮੩॥
ਇੱਲਾਂ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਮਾਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਗਿੱਦੜੀਆਂ (ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ) ਫਿਰਨਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਤ, ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਤੇ ਬੈਤਾਲ ਨੱਚਣਗੇ ॥੩੮੩॥
I shall wage such a horrible war that the vultures will become happy, the vampires will roam and the ghosts and fiends will dance.383.
ਮਦੋਦਰੀਬਾਚ॥
ਮੰਦੋਦਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ-

ਤਾਸਨੇਜੇਢੁਲੈਘੋਰਬਾਜੇਬਜੈਰਾਮਲੀਨੇਦਲੈਆਨਢੂਕੇ॥
ਉਧਰ ਨੇਜ਼ੇ ਝੂਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਭਿਆਨਕ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਰਾਮ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ) ਆਣ ਢੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
Look there, the swinging lances are visible, the terrible instruments are resounding and Ram has arrived with his mighty forces
ਬਾਨਰੀਪੂਤਚਿੰਕਾਰਅਪਾਰੰਕਰੰਮਾਰਮਾਰੰਚਹੂੰਓਰਕੂਕੇ॥
ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਪਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਾਰੋ-ਮਾਰੋ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੂਕਾਂ ਪੈ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
The sound of “kill, kill” is emanating form the army of monkeys from all the four sides
ਭੀਮਭੇਰੀਬਜੈਜੰਗਜੋਧਾਗਜੈਬਾਨਚਾਪੈਚਲੈਨਾਹਿਜਉਲੌ॥
ਜਦ ਤਕ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਭੇਰੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਜਦੀਆਂ, ਜੰਗ ਲਈ ਯੋਧੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਲਕਾਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੀਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦੇ,
O Ravana! till the time the war-drums resound and the thundering warriors discharge their arrows
ਬਾਤਕੋਮਾਨੀਐਘਾਤੁਪਹਿਚਾਨੀਐਰਾਵਰੀਦੇਹਕੀਸਾਤਤਉਲੌ॥੩੮੪॥
ਤਦ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦੇਹ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਮੰਨੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣੋ ॥੩੮੪॥
Recognising the opportunity before that, accept my saying for the protection of your body (and leave the idea of war).384.
ਘਾਟਘਾਟੈਰੁਕੌਬਾਟਬਾਟੈਤੁਪੋਐਂਠਬੈਠੇਕਹਾਰਾਮਆਏ॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਘਾਟਾਂ ਰੁਕ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, (ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ) ਕੀ ਆਕੜ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋ? ਰਾਮ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਖੋਰਹਰਾਮਹਰੀਫਕੀਆਂਖਤੈਚਾਮਕੇਜਾਤਕੈਸੇਚਲਾਏ॥
ਹੇ ਹਰਾਮ-ਖ਼ੋਰ! ਵੈਰੀ (ਹਰੀਫ਼) ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਚੰਮ (ਦੇ ਸਿੱਕੇ) ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਲਾਏ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ?

ਤੇਰਾ ਘਰ ਬਹੁਤ (ਬਿਸੀਆਰ) ਖੁਆਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੌਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ।

ਹੇ ਬਾਵਲੀ ਔਰਤ! ਕੀ ਭੰਡਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈਂ, ਕੰਗਲੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ।
O foolish prostitute! why do you prattle Stop the praises of Ram
ਕਾਢਹੋਬਾਸਿਦੈਬਾਨਬਾਜੀਗਰੀਦੇਖਿਹੋਆਜਤਾਕੋਤਮਾਸਾ॥
(ਇੰਦਰ-ਜਾਲ ਦੀ) ਜੋ ਖੇਡ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਭੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਧੂਪ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕੱਢਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ।

ਭਾਜਜੈਹੈਕਹਾਬਾਟਿਪੈਹੈਂਊਹਾਮਾਰਿਹੌਬਾਜਜੈਸੇਬਟੇਰੇ॥੩੮੬॥
ਕਿੱਥੇ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਰਸਤਾ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਲੱਭਣਗੇ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਇਉਂ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਜ ਬਟੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੮੬॥
