ਲਖੇਨੈਨਬਾਕੇਮਨੈਮੀਨਮੋਹੈਲਖੇਜਾਤਕੇਸੂਰਕੀਜੋਤਿਛਾਈ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨੈਣ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਮੱਛੀ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ) ਅੱਗੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਫਿੱਕੀ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
The fish is allured by seeing her eyes and her beauty seems like the extension of sunlight.
ਮਨੋਫੂਲਫੂਲੇਲਗੇਨੈਨਝੂਲੇਲਖੇਲੋਗਭੂਲੇਬਨੇਜੋਰਐਸੇ॥
(ਮਸਤੀ ਨਾਲ) ਨੈਣ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜੋੜ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਸੀਤਾ)!
Seeing her eyes they appear like the blossomed lotus and all the people in the forest are extremely enchanted by her beauty.
ਲਖੇਨੈਨਥਾਰੇਬਿਧੇਰਾਮਪਿਆਰੇਰੰਗੇਰੰਗਸਾਰਾਬਸੁਹਾਬਜੈਸੇ॥੨੯੮॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਰਾਮ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੰਨੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੂਹੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ (ਮਤਵਾਲੇ) ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੯੮॥
O Sita! seeing your intoxicated eyes Ram himself seems pierced by them.298.
ਰੰਗੇਰੰਗਰਾਤੇਮਯੰਮਤਮਾਤੇਮਕਬੂਲਿਗੁਲਾਬਕੇਫੂਲਸੋਹੈਂ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਨੈਣ) ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਰੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੀ ਮਸਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਮਨ ਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Your eyes are intoxicated, having been dyed in your love and it seems that they are lovely roses.
ਨਰਗਸਨੇਦੇਖਕੈਨਾਕਐਂਠਾਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਰਾਜਕੇਦੇਖਤੈਂਮਾਨਮੋਹੈਂ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਨਰਗਿਸ ਨੇ ਨੱਕ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ) ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ (ਸਬੋ-ਰੋਜ਼) ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨੇ ਅਸਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The narcissus flowers are expressing contempt with jealousy and the does on seeing her are feeling blow at their self-respect,
ਸਬੋਰੋਜਸਰਾਬਨੇਸੋਰਲਾਇਆਪ੍ਰਜਾਆਮਜਾਹਾਨਕੇਪੇਖਵਾਰੇ॥
(ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਾਰਨੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The wine in spite of all its strength is not feeling itself equivalent to thhe ardent passion of Sita in the whole world,
ਭਵਾਤਾਨਕਮਾਨਕੀਭਾਤਪਿਆਰੀਨਿਕਮਾਨਹੀਨੈਨਕੇਬਾਨਮਾਰੇ॥੨੯੯॥
ਪਿਆਰੀ (ਸੀਤਾ) ਦੀਆਂ ਭਵਾਂ ਖਿੱਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਟੇਢੀਆਂ ਹਨ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੀਤਾ ਨੇ) ਕਮਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੯੯॥
Her eyebrows are lovely like the bow and from those eyebrows she is discharging the arrows of her eyes.299.

ਜਿਥੇ ਉਚੇ-ਉਚੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਹਨ, ਉਚੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਬੋਹੜ ਦੇ ਤਾੜ ਦੇ ਦਰਖੱਤ ਹਨ, ਅਜਿਹੀ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਪ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਵੋ, ਅਜਿਹਾ (ਦਲੇਰ) ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?
Where there are high saal trees and Banyan trees and the large tanks, who is the person who performs austerities
ਜਾਕੀਛਬਦੇਖਦੁਤਖਾਡਵਕੀਫੀਕੀਲਾਗੈਆਭਾਤਕੀਨੰਦਨਬਿਲੋਕਭਜੇਮੌਨਹੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਖਾਂਡਵ ਬਣ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਫਿੱਕੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਨੰਦਨ ਬਾਗ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
And seeing whose beauty, the beauty of Pandavas seems devoid of radiance and the forests of heaven feel it better to keep silent on observing his beauty?
ਤਾਰਨਕੀਕਹਾਨੈਕਨਭਨਨਿਹਰਾਯੋਜਾਇਸੂਰਜਕੀਜੋਤਤਹਾਚੰਦ੍ਰਕੀਨਜਉਨਹੈ॥
ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵੀ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਉਥੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਚਾਨਣੀ ਵੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
There is so much dense shade there that not to speak of the stars, the sky is also not seen there, the light of the sun and moon does not reach there.
ਦੇਵਨਨਿਹਾਰਯੋਕੋਊਦੈਤਨਬਿਹਾਰਯੋਤਹਾਪੰਛੀਕੀਨਗੰਮਜਹਾਚੀਟੀਕੋਨਗਉਨਹੈ॥੩੦੦॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ (ਕੋਈ) ਦੈਂਤ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਉਥੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੀੜੀ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ ॥੩੦੦॥
No god or demon lives and the birds and even an ant has no access there.300.

ਅਤੇ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ

ਅਤੇ ਬਕ-ਝਕ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਆ ॥੩੦੧॥
Seeing the ignorant persons )Ram-Laksman) as good food, a demon named Viradh came forwards and in this way there came a calamitous situation in their peaceful lives.301.

ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਤੇ ਉਤਰ ਆਏ ॥੩੦੨॥
