ਜਾਉਕਹਾਪਗਭੇਟਕਹਉਤੁਹ॥
ਕਿਥੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ? ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਹ ਕੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਰਾਮ!
ਲਾਜਨਲਾਗਤਰਾਮਕਹੋਮੁਹ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਲਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏਗੀ?
“O Ram! where should I go now after touching your feet? Shall I not be ashmed?
ਮੈਅਤਿਦੀਨਮਲੀਨਬਿਨਾਗਤ॥
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਤਿ ਦੀਨ, ਮਲੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹਾਂ।
ਰਾਖਲੈਰਾਜਬਿਖੈਚਰਨਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ॥੨੮੭॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਲਵੋ ॥੨੮੭॥
“I am extremely low, dirty and motionless. O Ram! manage your kingdom and glorify it with your ambrosial feet.”287.
ਚਛਬਿਹੀਨਸੁਪਛਜਿਮੰਕਰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪੰਛੀ (ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ)
ਤਿਉਪ੍ਰਭਤੀਰਗਿਰਯੋਪਗਭਰਥਰ॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਕੋਲ ਭਰਤ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ।
Just as a bird become sightless fells down, in the same way Bharat fell down before Ram.
ਅੰਕਰਹੇਗਹਰਾਮਤਿਸੈਤਬ॥
ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਫੜ ਕੇ ਗਲੇ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਰੋਇਮਿਲੇਲਛਨਾਦਿਭਯਾਸਭ॥੨੮੮॥
ਇੰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਛਮਣ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਰੋ-ਰੋ ਕੇ ਗਲੇ ਲੱਗੇ ॥੨੮੮॥
At the same time Ram hugged him to his bosom and there Lakshman and all the brother wept.288.
ਪਾਨਿਪੀਆਇਜਗਾਇਸੁਬੀਰਹ॥
ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ ਕੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਭਰਤ) ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਕੀਤਾ
ਫੇਰਿਕਹਯੋਹਸਸ੍ਰੀਰਘੁਬੀਰਹ॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ-
The brave Bharat was brought to his senses by giving water. Ram again said smilingly :
ਤ੍ਰਿਯੋਦਸਬਰਖਗਏਫਿਰਿਐਹੈ॥
ਤੇਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਬੀਤਣ ਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਤ ਆਵਾਂਗੇ।
ਜਾਹੁਹਮੈਕਛੁਕਾਜਕਿਵੈਹੈ॥੨੮੯॥
(ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ) ਜਾ, ਅਸਾਂ ਬਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੮੯॥
“After the elapse of thirteen years we shall return, now you go back because I have to fulfil some tasks in the forest.”289.
ਚੀਨਗਏਚਤੁਰਾਚਿਤਮੋਸਭ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਚਤੁਰ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਝ ਗਏ (ਕਿ) ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਬਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਣ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ
ਸ੍ਰੀਰਘੁਬੀਰਕਹੀਅਸਕੈਜਬ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ।
When Ram said this, then all the people understood its substance (that he had to kill the demons in the forest).
ਮਾਤਸਮੋਧਸੁਪਾਵਰਿਲੀਨੀ॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਵਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ) ਉੱਚਿਤ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਤ ਖਾ ਕੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ) (ਭਰਤ ਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ) ਖੜਾਵਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਈਆਂ
ਅਉਰਬਸੇਪੁਰਅਉਧਨਚੀਨੀ॥੨੯੦॥
(ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਾਂਗਾ, ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਝਾਕਾਂਗਾ ॥੨੯੦॥
Submitting reverently to the instructions of Ram and with pleased mind Bharat took the sandals of Ram and forgetting the recognition of Ayodhya, he began to live out of its limits.290.
ਸੀਸਜਟਾਨਕੋਜੂਟਧਰੇਬਰ॥
(ਭਰਤ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ) ਉੱਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਜੂੜਾ ਧਾਰ ਲਿਆ
ਰਾਜਸਮਾਜਦੀਯੋਪਊਵਾਪਰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ (ਰਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ) ਖੜਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Wearing matted hair on his head he dedicated all the royal task to those sandals.
ਰਾਜਕਰੇਦਿਨੁਹੋਤਉਜਿਆਰੈ॥
ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋਣ 'ਤੇ ਭਰਤ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ
ਰੈਨਿਭਏਰਘੁਰਾਜਸੰਭਾਰੈ॥੨੯੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ॥੨੯੧॥
During the day he used to fulfil his royal duties with the support of those sandals and during the night he protected them.291.
ਜਜਰਭਯੋਝੁਰਝੰਝਰਜਿਉਤਨ॥
ਝੂਰ-ਝੂਰ ਕੇ (ਭਰਤ ਦਾ) ਸਰੀਰ ਸੁਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਵਾਂਗ ਖੋਖਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ,
ਰਾਖਤਸ੍ਰੀਰਘੁਰਾਜਬਿਖੈਮਨ॥
ਪਰ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਸਾਈ ਰਖਿਆ।
The body of Bharat withered and become decrepit, but still he always kept the memory of Ram in his mind.
ਬੈਰਿਨਕੇਰਨਬਿੰਦਨਿਕੰਦਤ॥
(ਉਹ) ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਦਾ।
ਭਾਖਤਕੰਠਿਅਭੂਖਨਛੰਦਤ॥੨੯੨॥
ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਜਾਪਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ॥੨੯੨॥
Alongwith this he destroyed the groups of enemies and instead of ornaments he wore rosaries as necklaces.292.

JHOOLA STANZA
ਇਤੈਰਾਮਰਾਜੰ॥
(ਬਣ ਵਿੱਚ) ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ
ਕਰੈਦੇਵਕਾਜੰ॥
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਧਰੋਬਾਨਪਾਨੰ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਧਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
ਭਰੈਬੀਰਮਾਨੰ॥੨੯੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹਨ ॥੨੯੩॥
On this side the king ram is doing the duties of gods by killing the demons he looks like a mighty hero by taking the bow in his hand.293.
ਜਹਾਸਾਲਭਾਰੇ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਸਨ
ਦ੍ਰੁਮੰਤਾਲਨਯਾਰੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਸਨ,
ਛੁਏਸੁਰਗਲੋਕੰ॥
ਜੋ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਹ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਹਰੈਜਾਤਸੋਕੰ॥੨੯੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ॥੨੯੪॥
Where there were the trees of saal in the forest alongwith other trees and tans etc. its glory seemed heaven-like and was destroyer of all sorrows.294.
ਤਹਾਰਾਮਪੈਠੇ॥
ਉਸ ਬਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਮ ਜਾ ਵੜੇ
ਮਹਾਬੀਰਐਠੇ॥
ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੌਰਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਵੀਰ ਸਨ।
ਲੀਏਸੰਗਿਸੀਤਾ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਸੀਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
ਮਹਾਸੁਭ੍ਰਗੀਤਾ॥੨੯੫॥
ਜੋ ਦੈਵੀ ਗੀਤ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ ॥੨੯੫॥
Ram stayed at that spot and looked like a mighty warrior, Sita was with him who was like a divine song.295.
ਬਿਧੁੰਬਾਕਬੈਣੀ॥
(ਉਹ) ਕੋਇਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਬੋਲ ਵਾਲੀ,
ਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਰਾਜਨੈਣੀ॥
ਹਿਰਨ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ,
ਕਟੰਛੀਨਦੇਸੀ॥
ਪਤਲੇ ਲੱਕ ਵਾਲੀ
ਪਰੀਪਦਮਨੀਸੀ॥੨੯੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਪਦਮਨੀ ਵਰਗੀ (ਸੁੰਦਰ) ਹੈ ॥੨੯੬॥
She was a lady of sweet speech and her eyes were like the queen of deer, she had a slim and she looked like a fairy, a Padmini (amongst women).296.
ਝੂਲਨਾਛੰਦ॥
ਝੂਲਣਾ ਛੰਦ
JHOOLANA STANZA
ਚੜੈਪਾਨਬਾਨੀਧਰੇਸਾਨਮਾਨੋਚਛਾਬਾਨਸੋਹੈਦੋਊਰਾਮਰਾਨੀ॥
ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਬਾਣ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਸ਼ੋਭਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਣ ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਣ ਹੋਣ।
Ram looks glorious with the sharp arrows in his hands and Sita, the queen of Ram appears elegant with the beautiful arrows of her eyes.
ਫਿਰੈਖਿਆਲਸੋਏਕਹਵਾਲਸੇਤੀਛੁਟੇਇੰਦ੍ਰਸੇਤੀਮਨੋਇੰਦ੍ਰਧਾਨੀ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ) ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬੀ ਇੰਜ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਮਾਨੋ ਇੰਦਰ ਧਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਹਾ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਫਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
She roams with Ram, being absorbed into such thoughts as if having been ousted from his capital Indra was staggering hither and thither.
ਮਨੋਨਾਗਬਾਕੇਲਜੀਆਬਫਾਕੈਰੰਗੇਰੰਗਸੁਹਾਬਸੌਰਾਮਬਾਰੇ॥
ਸੀਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ (ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਾਂ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕੁੰਡਲਦਾਰ ਸੱਪ ਹੋਣ, (ਹੋਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਅੰਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਾੜੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੋਠ ਸੁਰਖ਼ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। (ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ)
The loose hair of her braids, causing shyness to the glory of nagas, are becoming a sacrifice to Ram.
ਮ੍ਰਿਗਾਦੇਖਿਮੋਹੇਲਖੇਮੀਨਰੋਹੇਜਿਨੈਨੈਕਚੀਨੇਤਿਨੋਪ੍ਰਾਨਵਾਰੇ॥੨੯੭॥
ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੱਛੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਵੀ (ਉਹ ਨੈਣ) ਦੇਖ ਲਏ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵਾਰਨੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੨੯੭॥
The deers looking at her are allured by her, the fishes looking at her beauty are feeling jealous of her he, whoever had seen her, had sacrified himself for her.297.
ਸੁਨੇਕੂਕਕੇਕੋਕਲਾਕੋਪਕੀਨੇਮੁਖੰਦੇਖਕੈਚੰਦਦਾਰੇਰਖਾਈ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ) ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਕੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵੱਟ ਖਾਇਆ।
The nightingale, listening to her speech, is getting angry on account of jealousy and the moon looking at her face is feeling shy like women,
