ਕਹੂੰਬੀਨਬਾਜੈਕੋਊਬਾਸੁਰੀਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗਸਾਜੈਦੇਖੇਕਾਮਲਾਜੈਰਹੇਭਿਛਕਅਘਾਇਕੈ॥
ਕਿਤੇ ਬੀਨ ਵੱਜਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਤੇ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਸਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕਾਮ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਗਤੇ (ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ) ਰਸ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Somewhere the lyre is being played, somewhere flutes, drum and other musical instruments. On seeing all this the god of love is feeling shy and so mush charity was donated that the beggars feel satisfied.
ਰੰਕਤੇਸੁਰਾਜਾਭਏਆਸਿਖਅਸੇਖਦਏਮਾਗਤਨਭਏਫੇਰਐਸੋਦਾਨਪਾਇਕੈ॥੧੭੫॥
ਮੰਗਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਦਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਮੰਗਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਣਗੇ ॥੧੭੫॥
The poor became king-like and began to give blessings after receiving alms, no tendency for begging was left.175.
ਆਨਕੈਜਨਕਲੀਨੋਕੰਠਸੋਲਗਾਇਤਿਹੂੰਆਦਰਦੁਰੰਤਕੈਅਨੰਤਭਾਤਿਲਏਹੈਂ॥
ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਕ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਗਲ਼ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ, ਬੜਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
Janak came and hugged all the three to his bosom and honoured them in various ways.
ਬੇਦਕੇਬਿਧਾਨਕੈਕੈਬਯਾਸਤੇਬਧਾਈਬੇਦਏਕਏਕਬਿਪ੍ਰਕਉਬਿਸੇਖਸ੍ਵਰਨਦਏਹੈਂ॥
ਵੇਦ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਆਸ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਦੀ ਬਣਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ-ਬਹੁਤ ਮੋਹਰਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
The Vedic discipline was observed and the Brahmins recited the congratulatory Vedic mantras.
ਰਾਜਕੁਆਰਸਭੈਪਹਿਰਾਇਸਿਰਪਾਇਨਤੇਮੋਤੀਮਾਨਕਰਕੇਬਰਖਮੇਘਗਏਹੈਂ॥
ਰਾਜ-ਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਹਿਨਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੋਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਮਾਣਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਸ ਪਿਆ।
The king gave the gift of gold to each Brahmin, the princes were given presents and there was shower of gems.
ਦੰਤੀਸ੍ਵੇਤਦੀਨੇਕੇਤੇਸਿੰਧਲੀਤੁਰੇਨਵੀਨੇਰਾਜਾਕੇਕੁਮਾਰਤੀਨੋਬਯਾਹਕੈਪਠਏਹੈਂ॥੧੭੬॥
ਕਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਹਾਥੀ (ਦਾਨ) ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਧ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਨਵੇਂ ਘੋੜੇ (ਦਾਨ) ਦਿੱਤੇ । ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਰਾਜ-ਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੭੬॥
The white elephants and the brisk horses of Sindhu were presented to the princes, in this way all the three princes moved black after their wedding.176.

ਬਿਯਾਹਸੁਤਾਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੀਨ੍ਰਿਪਬਾਲੰ॥
ਰਾਜ-ਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ-ਕੁਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇ
ਮਾਗਬਿਦਾਮੁਖਿਲੀਨਉਤਾਲੰ॥
ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਾਇਗੀ ਮੰਗ ਲਈ।
After marrying the daughter of King Janak, the princes soon asked for permission to depart.
ਸਾਜਨਬਾਜਚਲੇਗਜਸੰਜੁਤ॥
ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ
ਏਸਨਏਸਨਰੇਸਨਕੇਜੁਤ॥੧੭੭॥
ਮਹਾਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਸਣੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ॥੧੭੭॥
This group of kings accompanied by elephants and horses, having many desires in their mind, started (for back journey).177.
ਦਾਜਸੁਮਾਰਸਕੈਕਰਕਉਨੈ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਜਨਕ ਨੇ ਜੋ) ਦਾਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ (ਸੁਮਾਰ) ਕੋਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਬੀਨਸਕੈਬਿਧਨਾਨਹੀਤਉਨੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਵੀ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ (ਇਕੱਤਰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
The dowry was given in such a great measure that even the Brahmins could not keep the same collectively.
ਬੇਸਨਬੇਸਨਬਾਜਮਹਾਮਤ॥
ਰੰਗਾਂ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਮਸਤ ਘੋੜੇ ਸਨ,
ਭੇਸਨਭੇਸਚਲੇਗਜਗਜਤ॥੧੭੮॥
ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ-ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਚਿੰਘਾੜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੭੮॥
Many types of horses and the thundering elephants in many garbs started moving.178.
ਬਾਜਤਨਾਦਨਫੀਰਨਕੇਗਨ॥
ਸੰਖ ਤੇ ਨਫ਼ੀਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਸਨ,
ਗਾਜਤਸੂਰਪ੍ਰਮਾਥਮਹਾਮਨ॥
ਮਹਾਨ ਕਠੋਰ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਗੱਜਦੇ ਸਨ।
The sound of fifes resounded and the mighty warriors thundered.
ਅਉਧਪੁਰੀਨੀਅਰਾਨਰਹੀਜਬ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਬਰਾਤ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ
ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਭਏਰਘੁਨੰਦਤਹੀਤਬ॥੧੭੯॥
ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸੁਆਗਤ ਲਈ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਏ ॥੧੭੯॥
When Oudhpuri was nearby, then all were welcomed by Ram.179.
ਮਾਤਨਵਾਰਿਪੀਯੋਜਲਪਾਨੰ॥
ਮਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਰ ਕੇ ਪੀਤਾ।
ਦੇਖਨਰੇਸਰਹੇਛਬਿਮਾਨੰ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
The mother drank water after its propitiatory offering to princes and the King Dasrath was highly pleased in his mind seeing this splendour.
ਭੂਪਬਿਲੋਕਤਲਾਇਲਏਉਰ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦਸ਼ਰਥ ਨੇ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲ਼ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ
ਨਾਚਤਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਭਏਪੁਰਿ॥੧੮੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰ (ਵਾਸੀ) ਨੱਚਣ ਅਤੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ ॥੧੮੦॥
On seeing the princes, the king hugged them to his bosom and all the people entered the city while dancing and singing.180.
ਭੂਪਜਬਯਾਹਜਬੈਗ੍ਰਹਆਏ॥
ਰਾਜ-ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਘਰ ਆਏ
ਬਾਜਤਭਾਤਿਅਨੇਕਬਧਾਏ॥
ਤਾਂ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਦੀਆਨੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗੇ
When the princes came home after their marriage, then many kinds of congratulatory songs were sung.
ਤਾਤਬਸਿਸਟਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰਬੁਲਾਏ॥
ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਟ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਮਿਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ
ਅਉਰਅਨੇਕਤਹਾਰਿਖਿਆਏ॥੧੮੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਉਥੇ ਆ ਗਏ ॥੧੮੧॥
Dasrath called Vasishtha and Sumantra and with them came several other sages.181.
ਘੋਰਉਠੀਘਹਰਾਇਘਟਾਤਬ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਘਟਾ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਗਰਜਣ ਲੱਗੀ
ਚਾਰੋਦਿਸਦਿਗਦਾਹਲਖਿਯੋਸਭ॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਵੇਖੀ।
At that time the clouds gathered on all the four sides and all saw apparently the flames of fire in all the four directions.
ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀਮਿਤ੍ਰਸਭੈਅਕੁਲਾਨੇ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਏ
ਭੂਪਤਿਸੋਇਹਭਾਤਬਖਾਨੇ॥੧੮੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦਸ਼ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ ॥੧੮੨॥
On seeing this all the ministers and friends became worried and request the king in the following manner.182.
ਹੋਤਉਤਪਾਤਬਡੇਸੁਣਰਾਜਨ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਉਪਦ੍ਰਵ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,
ਮੰਤ੍ਰਕਰੋਰਿਖਜੋਰਸਮਾਜਨ॥
ਰਿਸ਼ੀ-ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ।
“O King! There are many cases of providential wrath, tumult on all the four sides, therefore give thought to them by calling all the sages and advisers.
ਬੋਲਹੁਬਿਪਬਿਲੰਬਨਕੀਜੈ॥
ਦੇਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਲਵੋ,
ਹੈਕ੍ਰਿਤਜਗਅਰੰਭਨਕੀਜੈ॥੧੮੩॥
ਅਸ਼੍ਵਮੇਧ ਯੱਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ॥੧੮੩॥
“Call the Brahmins without delay and begin Krit Yajna.183.
ਆਇਸਰਾਜਦਯੋਤਤਕਾਲਹ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਮੰਤ੍ਰਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਬੁਧਬਿਸਾਲਹ॥
ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ (ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ)-
“O King! give instant orders for starting the Krit Yajna without delay,
ਹੈਕ੍ਰਿਤਜਗਅਰੰਭਨਕੀਜੈ॥
ਅਸ਼੍ਵਮੇਧ ਯੱਗ ਛੇਤੀ ਆਰੰਭ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਏ,
ਆਇਸਬੇਗਨਰੇਸਕਰੀਜੈ॥੧੮੪॥
(ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਜਲਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਏ ॥੧੮੪॥
“In view of the great wisdom of friends and ministers.”184.
ਬੋਲਿਬਡੇਰਿਖਲੀਨਮਹਾਦਿਜ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਮਹਾਂ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸੱਦ ਲਏ,
ਹੈਤਿਨਬੋਲਲਯੋਜੁਤਰਿਤਜ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਘੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਰਿਤਜ (ਯੱਗ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ।
The king called he eminent sages and great friends soon.
ਪਾਵਕਕੁੰਡਖੁਦਿਯੋਤਿਹਅਉਸਰ॥
ਅਗਨਿ ਕੁੰਡ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਗਾਡਿਯਖੰਭਤਹਾਧਰਮੰਧਰ॥੧੮੫॥
ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ 'ਧਰਮ ਖੰਭਾ' ਗੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੮੫॥
The sacrificial pit was dug up there and a pillar of righteousness was established.185.
ਛੋਰਿਲਯੋਹਯਸਾਰਹਤੇਹਯ॥
ਘੋੜ-ਸ਼ਾਲਾ (ਹਯ-ਸਾਰ) ਤੋਂ ਘੋੜਾ ਖੋਲ ਲਿਆ,
ਅਸਿਤਕਰਨਪ੍ਰਭਾਸਤਕੇਕਯ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਕੰਨ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਆਭਾ ਨੀਲੀ ਸੀ।
A horse was let off from the stable so that ending the glory of other king they may be conquered.
ਦੇਸਨਦੇਸਨਰੇਸਦਏਸੰਗਿ॥
ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਸੁੰਦਰਸੂਰਸੁਰੰਗਸੁਭੈਅੰਗ॥੧੮੬॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੮੬॥
The kings several countries were sent alongwith the horse and all of them were persons of beauteous limbs and the enhancer of glory.186.
