ਅਧਿਕਮੁਨਿਬਰਜਉਕੀਯੋਬਿਧਪੂਰਬਹੋਮਬਨਾਇ॥
ਬਹੁਤੇ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਧੀ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ,
ਜਗਕੁੰਡਹੁਤੇਉਠੇਤਬਜਗਪੁਰਖਅਕੁਲਾਇ॥੫੦॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ) ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਯੱਗ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੱਗ ਕੁੰਡ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਠ ਖੜੋਤਾ ॥੫੦॥
When many sages and hermits performed the havan in appropriate manner, then from the sacrificial pit arose the agitated sacrificial purushas.50.
ਖੀਰਪਾਤ੍ਰਕਢਾਇਲੈਕਰਿਦੀਨਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਆਨ॥
(ਯੱਗ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੀਰ ਦਾ ਬਰਤਨ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਭੂਪਪਾਇਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਭਯੋਜਿਮੁਦਾਰਦੀਲੈਦਾਨ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਦਸ਼ਰਥ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਗਲਾ ਦਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰੰਸਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ)।
They had a milkpot in their hands, which they gave to the king. The kiing Dasrath was so much pleased on obtaining it, just as a pauper is pleased on receiving a gift.
ਚਤ੍ਰਭਾਗਕਰਯੋਤਿਸੈਨਿਜਪਾਨਲੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਰਾਇ॥
ਦਸ਼ਰਥ ਨੇ (ਖੀਰ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਏਕਏਕਦਯੋਦੁਹੂਤ੍ਰੀਅਏਕਕੋਦੁਇਭਾਇ॥੫੧॥
ਇਕ-ਇਕ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ (ਰਾਣੀ ਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ) ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੫੧॥
The king divided it into four parts with his own hands and gave one part each to two queen and two parts to the third one.51.
ਗਰਭਵੰਤਭਈਤ੍ਰਿਯੋਤ੍ਰਿਯਛੀਰਕੋਕਰਿਪਾਨ॥
(ਉਸ) ਖੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨੋ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਤਾਹਿਰਾਖਤਭੀਭਲੋਦਸਦੋਇਮਾਸਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ॥
ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਗਰਭ) ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

ਮਾਸਤ੍ਰਿਉਦਸਮੋਚਢਯੋਤਬਸੰਤਨਹੇਤਉਧਾਰ॥
ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵਾਂ ਮਹੀਨਾ (ਜਦ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਧਾਰ ਲਈ
ਰਾਵਣਾਰਿਪ੍ਰਗਟਭਏਜਗਆਨਰਾਮਅਵਤਾਰ॥੫੨॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ ॥੫੨॥

ਭਰਥਲਛਮਨਸਤ੍ਰੁਘਨਪੁਨਿਭਏਤੀਨਕੁਮਾਰ॥

ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਨਬਾਜੀਯੰਨ੍ਰਿਪਰਾਜਬਾਜਨਦੁਆਰ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
Then the three princes named Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan were born and various kinds of musical instruments were played at the gate of Dasrath’s palace.
ਪਾਇਲਾਗਬੁਲਾਇਬਿਪਨਦੀਨਦਾਨਦੁਰੰਤਿ॥
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਸਤ੍ਰੁਨਾਸਤਹੋਹਿਗੇਸੁਖਪਾਇਹੈਂਸਭਸੰਤ॥੫੩॥
(ਹੁਣ) ਵੈਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਣਗੇ ॥੫੩॥
Bowing at the feet of Brahmins, he gave them innumerable gifts and all the people felt that now the enemies will be destroyed nad the saints will attain peace and comfort.53.
ਲਾਲਜਾਲਪ੍ਰਵੇਸਟਰਿਖਬਰਬਾਜਰਾਜਸਮਾਜ॥
ਲਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਜੇ ਘੋੜੇ
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਨਦੇਤਭਯੋਦਿਜਪਤਨਕੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਰਾਜ॥
ਅਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ-ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਸ਼ਰਥ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
Wearing the necklaces of diamonds and jewels, the sages are extending th royal glory and the king is presenting documents to the twice-born (dvijas) for gold and silver.
ਦੇਸਅਉਰਬਿਦੇਸਭੀਤਰਠਉਰਠਉਰਮਹੰਤ॥
ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਹੰਤ ਨੱਚ ਉੱਠੇ ਸਨ।
ਨਾਚਨਾਚਉਠੇਸਭੈਜਨੁਆਜਲਾਗਬਸੰਤ॥੫੪॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ) ਮਾਨੋ ਅੱਜ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਲੀ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੫੪॥
The chieftains of various places are exhibiting their delight and all the people are dancing like the frolicsome people in the spring season.54.
ਕਿੰਕਣੀਨਕੇਜਾਲਭੂਖਤਿਬਾਜਅਉਗਜਰਾਜ॥
ਘੁੰਘਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ
ਸਾਜਸਾਜਦਏਦਿਜੇਸਨਆਜਕਉਸਲਰਾਜ॥
ਸਜਾ-ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦਸ਼ਰਥ ਅੱਜ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

ਰੰਕਰਾਜਭਏਘਨੇਤਹਰੰਕਰਾਜਨਜੈਸ॥
ਜੋ ਮਹਾਂ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਕੰਗਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਰਾਮਜਨਮਤਭਯੋਉਤਸਵਅਉਧਪੁਰਮੈਐਸ॥੫੫॥
ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਉਤਸਵ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ॥੫੫॥
There has been festival in Ayodhya on the birth of ram that the beggars laden with gifts have become kinglike.55.
ਦੁੰਦਭਅਉਰਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗਤੂਰਤੁਰੰਗਤਾਨਅਨੇਕ॥
ਧੌਂਸੇ, ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ, ਤੂਰ, ਤਰੰਗ ਤੇ ਬੀਨ ਆਦਿ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਸਨ,
ਬੀਨਬੀਨਬਜੰਤਛੀਨਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਬੀਨਬਿਸੇਖ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਰੀਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ।
The tunes of drums and clarionets are being heard alongwith the sound of flutes and lyres.
ਝਾਝਬਾਰਤਰੰਗਤੁਰਹੀਭੇਰਨਾਦਿਨਿਯਾਨ॥
ਝੰਝ, ਬਾਰ, ਤਰੰਗ, ਤੁਰੀ, ਭੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਤਰੀ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਮੋਹਿਮੋਹਿਗਿਰੇਧਰਾਪਰਸਰਬਬਯੋਮਬਿਵਾਨ॥੫੬॥
(ਅਜਿਹੇ) ਰਾਗ ਰੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵਿਮਾਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੫੬॥
The sound of bells, walrus and kettledrums are audible and these sound are so attaractive that the air-vehicles of gods, being impressed are coming down to the earth.56.
ਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਬਿਦੇਸਦੇਸਨਹੋਤਮੰਗਲਚਾਰ॥
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਗਲਾਚਾਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਬੈਠਿਬੈਠਿਕਰੈਲਗੇਸਬਬਿਪ੍ਰਬੇਦਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਸਭ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਵੇਦ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।

ਧੂਪਦੀਪਮਹੀਪਗ੍ਰੇਹਸਨੇਹਦੇਤਬਨਾਇ॥
ਰਾਜ ਭਵਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਵਿੱਚ (ਲੋਕੀਂ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਫੂਲਿਫੂਲਿਫਿਰੈਸਭੈਗਣਦੇਵਦੇਵਨਰਾਇ॥੫੭॥
ਗਣ, ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤੇ ਦੇਵ ਰਾਜ (ਇੰਦਰ) ਫੁਲੇ ਫੁਲੇ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੫੭॥
Because of the incense and earthen lamps, the palace of the king has become so impressive that Indra alongwith gods are moving hither and thither in their delight.57.
ਆਜਕਾਜਭਏਸਬੈਇਹਭਾਤਿਬੋਲਤਬੈਨ॥
ਅੱਜ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ-(ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਭੂੰਮਭੂਰਉਠੀਜਯਤਧੁਨਬਾਜਬਾਜਤਗੈਨ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਸਨ।
All the people are saying that on that day all their wishes have been fulfilled. The earth is filled with shouts of victory and the musical instruments are being played in the sky.
ਐਨਐਨਧੁਜਾਬਧੀਸਭਬਾਟਬੰਦਨਵਾਰ॥
ਘਰ-ਘਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੰਡੀਆਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਧਨਵਾਰ ਸਜੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
ਲੀਪਲੀਪਧਰੇਮਲਯਾਗਰਹਾਟਪਾਟਬਜਾਰ॥੫੮॥
ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਚੰਦਨ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਬ ਪੋਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ॥੫੮॥
There are small flags at all the places, there are greetings on all the paths and all shops and bazaars have been plastered with sandalwood.58.
ਸਾਜਿਸਾਜਿਤੁਰੰਗਕੰਚਨਦੇਤਦੀਨਨਦਾਨ॥
ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਮਸਤਹਸਤਿਦਏਅਨੇਕਨਇੰਦ੍ਰਦੁਰਦਸਮਾਨ॥
ਅਨੇਕ ਹੀ ਮਸਤ ਹਾਥੀ ਵੀ (ਦਾਨ) ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਸਨ।
The poor people are being given the horses decorated with gold, and many intoxicated elephants like Airavat (the elephant of Indra) are being given in charity.
ਕਿੰਕਣੀਕੇਜਾਲਭੂਖਤਦਏਸਯੰਦਨਸੁਧ॥
ਘੁੰਘਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੰਗੇ ਰਥ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਗਾਇਨਨਕੇਪੁਰਮਨੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਆਵਤਬੁਧ॥੫੯॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਲੂਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਮਾਨੋ ਇਹ ਗਵਈਇਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੫੯॥
The horses studded with bells are being given as gifts it appears that in the city of singers, the prudence is coming by itself.59.
ਬਾਜਸਾਜਦਏਇਤੇਜਿਹਪਾਈਐਨਹੀਪਾਰ॥
ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਇੰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਦਯੋਸਦਯੋਸਬਢੈਲਗਯੋਰਨਧੀਰਰਾਮਵਤਾਰ॥
ਰਣ-ਧੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਦਿਨੋ ਦਿਨ ਵਧਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
The innumerable horses and elephants were given as gifts by the king on one hand and Ram began to grow day by day on the other hand.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਨਕੀਸਭੈਬਿਧਦੀਨਤਾਹਿਸੁਧਾਰ॥
ਸ਼ਸ਼ਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਅਸਟਦਯੋਸਨਮੋਗਏਲੈਸਰਬਰਾਮਕੁਮਾਰ॥੬੦॥
ਅੱਠ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸਿੱਖ ਲਿਆ ॥੬੦॥
He was taught all the required wisdom of the arms and religious texts and Ram learned everything within eight days (i.e. a very short period).60.
ਬਾਨਪਾਨਕਮਾਨਲੈਬਿਹਰੰਤਸਰਜੂਤੀਰ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਨੁੱਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਚਾਰੇ ਭਰਾ) ਸੂਰਜੂ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਪੀਤਪੀਤਪਿਛੋਰਕਾਰਨਧੀਰਚਾਰਹੁੰਬੀਰ॥
ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੀਲੇ-ਪੀਲੇ ਪਟਕੇ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਸਨ।

ਬੇਖਬੇਖਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਕੇਬਿਹਰੰਤਬਾਲਕਸੰਗ॥

ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ-ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਬਰੰਗੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਤਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ॥੬੧॥
Seeing all the princes moving together, eh waves of Saryu exhibited many coloured garments.61.
ਐਸਿਬਾਤਭਈਇਤੈਉਹਓਰਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਮਿਤ੍ਰ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਇਧਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ (ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ) ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਮਿੱਤਰ ਨੇ
ਜਗਕੋਸੁਕਰਿਯੋਅਰੰਭਨਤੋਖਨਾਰਥਪਿਤ੍ਰ॥
(ਆਪਣੇ) ਪਿਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਯੱਗ ਆਰੰਭ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
All this was going on this side and on the other side Vishwamitra began a Yajna for the worship of his manes.
