ਕਾਲਪੁਰਖਕੀਦੇਹਿਮੋਕੋਟਿਕਬਿਸਨਮਹੇਸ॥
'ਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ' ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਟ ਦੇਹ ਵਿਚ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ (ਮਹੇਸ਼) ਹਨ
In the body of the Immanent Lord, million of Vishnus and Shivas abide.
ਕੋਟਿਇੰਦ੍ਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਕਿਤੇਰਵਿਸਸਿਕ੍ਰੋਰਿਜਲੇਸ॥੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਇੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਵਰੁਣ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
Million of Indras, Brahmas, Suryas, Chandras and Varunas are present thre in His divine body.1.

ਸ੍ਰਮਿਤਬਿਸਨੁਤਹਰਹਤਸਮਾਈ॥
(ਅਵਤਾਰ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਕੇ) ਥਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਉਥੇ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਸਿੰਧੁਬਿੰਧੁਜਹਗਨਿਯੋਨਜਾਈ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ।
Fatigued by his work, Vishnu remains merged in Him and within that Immanent Lord, there are unaccountable oceans and worlds.
ਸੇਸਨਾਗਿਸੇਕੋਟਿਕਤਹਾ॥
ਉਥੇ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਵਰਗੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਹਨ
ਸੋਵਤਸੈਨਸਰਪਕੀਜਹਾ॥੨॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਸੱਪ ਦੀ ਸੇਜਾ ਤੇ (ਸੇਖਸਾਈ) ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The bed of Great serpent, on which that Immanent Lord sleeps, millions of Sheshanagas appear graceful near it.2.
ਸਹੰਸ੍ਰਸੀਸਤਬਧਰਤਨਜੰਗਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ,
ਸਹੰਸ੍ਰਪਾਵਕਰਸਹੰਸਅਭੰਗਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾ ਟੁਟਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਪੈਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹੱਥ ਹਨ,
He hath thousands of heads, trunks and legs He hath thousands of hands and feet, He, the Invincible Lord
ਸਹੰਸਰਾਛਸੋਭਤਹੈਤਾਕੇ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ (ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਤੇ) ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹਨ
ਲਛਮੀਪਾਵਪਲੋਸਤਵਾਕੇ॥੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੋਸਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
He hath thousands of eyes and al types of excellences kiss his feet.3.

ਮਧੁਕੀਟਭਕੇਬਧਨਮਿਤਜਾਦਿਨਜਗਤਮੁਰਾਰਿ॥
ਮਧੁ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਟਭ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ (ਸਚੇਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ)
The day on which Vishnu manifested himself for the killing of Madhu and Kaitabh,
ਸੁਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਤਾਕੋਕਹੈਚੌਦਸਵੋਅਵਤਾਰ॥੪॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਚੌਦਵਾਂ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
The poet Shyam knows him as fourteenth incarnation.4.

ਸ੍ਰਵਣਮੈਲਤੇਅਸੁਰਪ੍ਰਕਾਸਤ॥
(ਸੇਖਸਾਈ ਦੇ) ਕੰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਤੋਂ (ਮਧੁ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਟਭ) ਦੈਂਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ,
ਚੰਦਸੂਰਜਨੁਦੁਤੀਯਪ੍ਰਭਾਸਤ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
From the dross of the ear, the demons were born and were considered glorious like Chandra and Surya.
ਮਾਯਾਤਜਤਬਿਸਨੁਕਹੁਤਬਹੀ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡਦੀ ਹੈ
ਕਰਤਉਪਾਧਿਅਸੁਰਮਿਲਿਜਬਹੀ॥੫॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਦੈਂਤ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਪਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥
With the orders of the Immanent Lord, Vishnu abandoned maya and manifested himself at that time, when these demons indulged in riots.5.
ਤਿਨਸੋਕਰਤਬਿਸਨੁਘਮਸਾਨਾ॥
ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਬਰਖਹਜਾਰਪੰਚਪਰਮਾਨਾ॥
ਜੋ ਪੰਜ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Vishnu waged ferocious war with them for five thousand years .
ਕਾਲਪੁਰਖਤਬਹੋਤਸਹਾਈ॥
ਤਦ 'ਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ' ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨਿਹਨਤਕ੍ਰੋਧਉਪਜਾਈ॥੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
The Immanent Lord then helped Vishnu and in great fury, he destroyed both the demons.6.

ਧਾਰਤਹੈਐਸੋਬਿਸਨੁਚੌਦਸਵੋਅਵਤਾਰ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੈਂਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਰਨ ਲਈ
ਸੰਤਸੰਬੂਹਨਿਸੁਖਨਮਿਤਦਾਨਵਦੁਹੂੰਸੰਘਾਰ॥੭॥
ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੌਦਵਾਂ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
In this way, Vishnu manifested himself as the fourteenth incarnation and in order to give comfort to the saints, he destroyed both these demons.7.
ਇਤਿਸ੍ਰੀਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਨਾਟਕਗ੍ਰੰਥੇਮਧੁਕੈਟਭਬਧਹਚਤਰਦਸਵੋਅਵਤਾਰਬਿਸਨੁਸਮਾਤਮਸਤੁਸੁਭਮਸਤੁ॥੧੪॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੇ 'ਮਧੁ ਕੈਟਭ ਬਧ' ਚੌਦਵੇਂ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਬਿਸਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ, ਸਭ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ ॥੧੪॥

ਜਬਜਬਦਾਨਵਕਰਤਪਾਸਾਰਾ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੈਂਤ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਬਤਬਬਿਸਨੁਕਰਤਸੰਘਾਰਾ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Whenever the demons extend their rule, then Vishnu comes to destroy them.
ਸਕਲਅਸੁਰਇਕਠੇਤਹਾਭਏ॥
ਇਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ (ਕਿਸੇ) ਥਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ
ਸੁਰਅਰਿਗੁਰੁਮੰਦਰਿਚਲਿਗਏ॥੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਗੁਰੂ (ਸ਼ੁਕ੍ਰਾਚਾਰਯ) ਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ॥੧॥
Once all the demons gathered together ( seeing them ) the gods and their preceptors went to their abodes.1.
ਸਬਹੂੰਮਿਲਿਅਸਕਰਿਯੋਬਿਚਾਰਾ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ
ਦਈਤਨਕਰਤਘਾਤਅਸੁਰਾਰਾ॥
ਕਿ ਦੇਵਤੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
All the demons gathered together and thought out (over this issue), that Vishnu always destroys the demons
ਤਾਤੇਐਸਕਰੌਕਿਛੁਘਾਤਾ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਚਾਲ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵੇ
ਜਾਤੇਬਨੇਹਮਾਰੀਬਾਤਾ॥੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਬਣ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥
And now they should devise some plan, to settle the issue.2.
ਦਈਤਗੁਰੂਇਮਬਚਨਬਖਾਨਾ॥
ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ,
ਤੁਮਦਾਨਵੋਨਭੇਦਪਛਾਨਾ॥
"(ਹੇ ਦੈਂਤੋ!) ਤੁਸਾਂ ਨੇ (ਇਸ) ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
The preceptor of the demons (Shukracharya) said, “O demons, you have not understood this mystery till now
ਵੇਮਿਲਿਜਗਕਰਤਬਹੁਭਾਤਾ॥
ਉਹ (ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਯੱਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਕੁਸਲਹੋਤਤਾਤੇਦਿਨਰਾਤਾ॥੩॥
ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸੁਖ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਟਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
“The gods gather together and perform Yajnas (sacrifices), therefore thay always remain happy.3.
ਤੁਮਹੂੰਕਰੋਜਗਆਰੰਭਨ॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਯੱਗ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ,
ਬਿਜੈਹੋਇਤੁਮਰੀਤਾਤੇਰਣ॥
ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਵੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
You should also perform sacrifices, and then you will be victorious in the battlefield.
ਜਗਅਰੰਭ੍ਯਦਾਨਵਨਕਰਾ॥
(ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ) ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੱਗ ਆਰੰਭ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
