ਨਭਅਉਰਧਰਾਦੋਊਛਾਇਰਹੇ॥੧੭॥
ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਕ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧੭॥
The arrows were showered so intensely from both the sides, that there was shade on the earth and over the sky.17.
ਗਿਰਗੇਤਹਟੋਪਨਟੂਕਘਨੇ॥
ਉਥੇ ਟੋਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ
ਰਹਗੇਜਨੁਕਿੰਸਕਸ੍ਰੋਣਸਨੇ॥
(ਜੋ) ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਜੇ (ਇਉਂ ਮਲੂਮ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕੇਸੂ ਝੜੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਣ।
The helmets broke and fell in eh battlefield like the flowers saturated with blood.
ਰਣਹੇਰਿਅਗੰਮਅਨੂਪਹਰੰ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ,
ਜੀਯਮੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਬਿਚਾਰਕਰੰ॥੧੮॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੧੮॥
The unapproachable and unique Shiva thought over in this way in his mind.18.
ਜੀਯਮੋਸਿਵਦੇਖਿਰਹਾਚਕਕੈ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
ਦਲਦੈਤਨਮਧਿਪਰਾਹਕਕੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਪਿਆ।
And perplexed in his heart, Shiva, shouting loudly, jumped into the forces of the demons.
ਰਣਿਸੂਲਸੰਭਾਰਿਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਕਰੰ॥
ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਸੁਣਕੇਧੁਨਿਦੇਵਅਦੇਵਡਰੰ॥੧੯॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ (ਲਲਕਾਰੇ ਦੀ) ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਡਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ ॥੧੯॥
Holding his trident, he began to strike blows and hearing the sound of his blows, both the gods and demons were all filled with fear.19.
ਜੀਯਮੋਸਿਵਧ੍ਯਾਨਧਰਾਜਬਹੀ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ 'ਕਾਲ' ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਿਆ,
ਕਲਿਕਾਲਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਭਏਤਬਹੀ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ 'ਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ' ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
When Shiva meditated in his mind on the non-temporal Lord, the Lord was pleased at the same time.
ਕਹਿਯੋਬਿਸਨਜਲੰਧਰਰੂਪਧਰੋ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, "(ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰੋ
ਪੁਨਿਜਾਇਰਿਪੇਸਕੋਨਾਸਕਰੋ॥੨੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰੋ ॥੨੦॥
Vishnu was ordered to manifest himself as Jalndhar and in this way destroy the king of enemies.20.
ਭੁਜੰਗਪ੍ਰਯਾਤਛੰਦ॥

ਦਈਕਾਲਆਗਿਆਧਰਿਯੋਬਿਸਨਰੂਪੰ॥
ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸਜੇਸਾਜਸਰਬੰਬਨਿਯੋਜਾਨਭੂਪੰ॥
ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਜ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ (ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ) ਰਾਜਾ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਲਗਣ ਲਗਿਆ।
The Destroyer Lord commanded and Vishnu manifested himself in the form of Jalandhar, and bedecked in all manner, he appeared as a kiing.
ਕਰਿਯੋਨਾਥਯੋਆਪਨਾਰੰਉਧਾਰੰ॥
(ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ) ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਉਧਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਰਾਜਬ੍ਰਿੰਦਾਸਤੀਸਤਟਾਰੰ॥੨੧॥
ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਸ਼ਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਸਤੀ 'ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦਾ' ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਤ ਭੰਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੨੧॥
Vishnu manifested himself in this form in order to protect his wife, and in this way, he defiled the chastity of the extremely chaste Varinda.21.
ਤਜਿਯੋਦੇਹਿਦੈਤੰਭਈਬਿਸਨੁਨਾਰੰ॥
'ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦਾ' ਨੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਦੇਹ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਧਰਿਯੋਦੁਆਦਸਮੋਬਿਸਨੁਦਈਤਾਵਤਾਰੰ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵਾਂ (ਜਲੰਧਰ) ਦੈਂਤ ਦਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
Abandoning the body of demoness, Varinda again manifested herself as Lakshmi, the wife of Vishnu and in this way Vishnu assumed the twelfth incarnation in the form of a demon.
ਪੁਨਰਜੁਧੁਸਜਿਯੋਗਹੇਸਸਤ੍ਰਪਾਣੰ॥
ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜੰਗ ਹੋਣ ਲਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਫੜ ਲਏ।
ਗਿਰੇਭੂਮਿਮੋਸੂਰਸੋਭੇਬਿਮਾਣੰ॥੨੨॥
ਜੋ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਬਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੨੨॥
The war continued again and the warriors held their weapons in their hands the brave fighters began to fall in the battlefield and also the air-vehicles came down in order to take away the dead warriors from the battlefield.22.
ਮਿਟਿਯੋਸਤਿਨਾਰੰਕਟਿਯੋਸੈਨਸਰਬੰ॥
(ਇਧਰ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਸੱਤ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, (ਉਧਰ) ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਕਟੀ ਗਈ
ਮਿਟਿਯੋਭੂਪਜਾਲੰਧਰੰਦੇਹਗਰਬੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਮਿਟ ਗਿਆ।
On this side, the chastity of woman was defiled and on that side all the army was chopped. By this the pride of Jalandhar was shattered.
