ਕਰਿਯੋਕੋਪਕੈਜੁਧਭਾਤੰਅਨੇਕੰ॥੪੫॥
(ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੪੫॥
On the other side Daksha was alone on this side, Rudra was also alone both of them highly infuriated, waged the war in many ways.45.
ਗਿਰਿਯੋਜਾਨੁਕੂਟਸਥਲੀਬ੍ਰਿਛਮੂਲੰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਾੜ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਢੋਂ ਪੁਟਿਆ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਡਿਗਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗਿਰਿਯੋਦਛਤੈਸੇਕਟਿਯੋਸੀਸਸੂਲੰ॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਕਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ।
Rudra chopped the head Daksha with his trident and he fell down like an uprooted tree.
ਪਰਿਯੋਰਾਜਰਾਜੰਭਯੋਦੇਹਘਾਤੰ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਦਕਸ਼ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਦੇਹ (ਇਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ)
ਹਨਿਯੋਜਾਨਬਜ੍ਰੰਭਯੋਪਬਪਾਤੰ॥੪੬॥
ਮਾਨੋ (ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ) ਬੱਜਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਹਾੜ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੪੬॥
Daksha, the king of kings, fell down after his head was cut and he looked like the fallen mountain, whose wings had been cut by Indra with his weapon Vajra.46.
ਗਯੋਗਰਬਸਰਬੰਭਜੋਸੂਰਬੀਰੰ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਭਜ ਗਏ
ਚਲਿਯੋਭਾਜਅੰਤਹਪੁਰਹੁਐਅਧੀਰੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਣੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜ਼ਨਾਨ-ਖ਼ਾਨੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਵੜੇ।
All the pride of Daksha was shattered and the mighty Rudra destroyed him completely.
ਗਰੇਡਾਰਅੰਚਰਪਰੈਰੁਦ੍ਰਪਾਯੋ॥
ਗੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਲੂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ
ਅਹੋਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੀਜੈਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕੈਸਹਾਯੰ॥੪੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੇ, "ਹੇ ਰੁਦਰ! ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੋ" ॥੪੭॥
Then Rudra, getting impatient, speedily came to Antaipura, where everyone came with the cloth around his neck and falling at his feet said, “O Rudra be merciful to us, protect and help us”.47.

ਹਮਤੁਮਰੋਹਰਿਓਜਨਜਾਨਾ॥
ਹੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ! ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ,
ਤੁਮਹੋਮਹਾਤਪੀਬਲਵਾਨਾ॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਤਪਸਵੀ ਤੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੋ।
“O Shiva we have not recognized thee, you are supremely mighty and an ascetic.”
ਸੁਨਤਬਚਨਭਏਰੁਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ॥
(ਇਹ) ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
ਅਜਾਸੀਸਨ੍ਰਿਪਜੋਰਿਉਤਾਲਾ॥੪੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਕਰੇ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਰਾਜੇ (ਦੇ ਧੜ) ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੪੮॥
Hearing these words, Rudra become gracious and he caused Daksha to become alive again and get up.48.
ਰੁਦ੍ਰਕਾਲਕੋਧਰਾਧਿਆਨਾ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ 'ਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ' ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਿਆ
ਬਹੁਰਿਜੀਯਾਇਨਰੇਸਉਠਾਨਾ॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਕਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Then Rudra meditated upon the Lord and restored the life of all other kings.
ਰਾਜਸੁਤਾਪਤਿਸਕਲਜੀਯਾਏ॥
ਫਿਰ ਦਕਸ਼ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਤੀ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਕਉਤਕਨਿਰਖਿਸੰਤਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਏ॥੪੯॥
(ਇਸ ਕੌਤਕ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੪੯॥
He restored the life of the husband of all the princesses and seeing this wonderful performance, all the saints were extremely peeased.49.
ਨਾਰਿਹੀਨਸਿਵਕਾਮਖਿਝਾਯੋ॥
(ਸਤੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਨ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਿਝਾਇਆ,
ਤਾਤੇਸੁੰਭਘਨੋਦੁਖੁਪਾਯੋ॥
ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ।
The god of love troubled greatly the god Shiva, who was without his consort, with which Shiva remained in great agony.
ਅਧਿਕਕੋਪਕੈਕਾਮਜਰਾਯਸ॥
(ਪਰ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਕਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਬਿਤਨਨਾਮਤਿਹਤਦਿਨਕਹਾਯਸ॥੫੦॥
ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਮ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ 'ਬਿਤਨ' (ਤਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਜਾਂ 'ਅਨੰਗ' ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਣ ਲਗਾ ॥੫੦॥
Being extremely vexed, once in great fury, Shiva reduced Kamdev (the god of love) to ashes and from that day this god was called Anang (body-less).50.

ਵਹੁਜੋਜਰੀਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੀਦਾਰਾ॥
ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ (ਹਵਨ-ਕੁੰਡ) ਵਿਚ ਸੜ ਗਈ ਸੀ,
ਤਿਨਿਹਿਮਗਿਰਿਗ੍ਰਿਹਿਲਿਯਅਵਤਾਰਾ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ।
After having been burnt and died, the wife of Rudra was born in the house of Himalaya.
ਛੁਟੀਬਾਲਤਾਜਬਸੁਧਿਆਈ॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਬਾਲਪਣ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਆਨੀ ਆਈ
ਬਹੁਰੋਮਿਲੀਨਾਥਕਹੁਜਾਈ॥੧॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪਈ ॥੧॥
After the end of her childhood, when she attained the age of puberty, she was again united with her Lord Shiva.1.
ਜਿਹਬਿਧਿਮਿਲੀਰਾਮਸੋਸੀਤਾ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੀਤਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਸੀ,
ਜੈਸਕਚਤੁਰਬੇਦਤਨਗੀਤਾ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੀਤਾ (ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਧਾਰਾ) ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,
Just as Sita, on meeting Rama, became one with him just as Gita and Vedic ideology are one
ਜੈਸੇਮਿਲਤਸਿੰਧਤਨਗੰਗਾ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਗਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਤਿਯੋਮਿਲਿਗਈਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੈਸੰਗਾ॥੨॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਪਾਰਬਤੀ) ਰੁਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ॥੨॥
Just as, on meeting the sea, the Ganges becomes one with the sea, in the same manner, Parvati and Shiva became one.2.
ਜਬਤਿਹਬ੍ਯਾਹਿਰੁਦ੍ਰਘਰਿਆਨਾ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ
ਨਿਰਖਿਜਲੰਧਰਤਾਹਿਲੁਭਾਨਾ॥
ਤਾਂ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
When, after wedding, Rudra brought her to his home, the demon Jalandhar was allured on seeing her
ਦੂਤਏਕਤਹਦੀਯਪਠਾਈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਦੂਤ ਭੇਜਿਆ
ਲਿਆਉਰੁਦ੍ਰਤੇਨਾਰਿਛਿਨਾਈ॥੩॥
ਕਿ ਰੁਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆਓ ॥੩॥
He sent a messenger , saying this: “Go and bring that women, after seizing her from Rudra.”3.

ਜਲੰਧਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ
Jalandhar said :
ਕੈਸਿਵਨਾਰਿਸੀਗਾਰਕੈਮਮਗ੍ਰਿਹਦੇਹਪਠਾਇ॥
"ਹੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ! ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਭੇਜ ਦੇ,
ਨਾਤਰਸੂਲਸੰਭਾਰਕੇਸੰਗਿਲਰਹੁਮੁਰਿਆਇ॥੪॥
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ" ॥੪॥
Jalandhar told his messenger to say this to Shiva : “O Shiva, either send your bedecked wife to me, or hold up your trident and wage war with me.”4.

ਅਬਕਹੋਬਿਸਨਤ੍ਰੀਯਾਕੀਬਾਤਾ॥
ਹੁਣ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ (ਲੱਛਮੀ) ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
How this story occurred? In this context, I relate the story of the wife of Vishnu :
ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦਾਰਿਕਦਿਨਏਕਪਕਾਏ॥
ਲੱਛਮੀ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਬੈਂਗਣ ਪਕਾਏ ਸਨ,
ਦੈਤਸਭਾਤੇਬਿਸਨੁਬੁਲਾਏ॥੫॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਵਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੫॥
One day, he cooked the brinjals in her home and at the same time, Vishnu was called by the assembly of demons, where he went.5.
