ਸਿਵਧਾਇਚਲਿਯੋਤਿਹਮਾਰਨਕੋ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ
ਜਗਕੇਸਬਜੀਵਉਧਾਰਨਕੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ।
For the protection of the beings of the world and the killing of that demon, the god Shiva moved forward.
ਕਰਿਕੋਪਿਤਜਿਯੋਸਿਤਸੁਧਸਰੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਇਕ) ਬਹੁਤ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਤੀਰ ਛਡਿਆ
ਇਕਬਾਰਹੀਨਾਸਕੀਯੋਤ੍ਰਿਪੁਰੰ॥੧੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਪੁਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੧॥
In great fury, shot one arrow and only with arrow, he destroyed that demon of Tripura, named Tripura.11.
ਲਖਿਕਉਤੁਕਸਾਧਸਬੈਹਰਖੇ॥
(ਇਸ) ਕੌਤਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਧ (ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ
ਸੁਮਨੰਬਰਖਾਨਭਤੇਬਰਖੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਗੀ।
Seeing this performance all the saints were pleased and gods showered flowers form heaven.
ਧੁਨਿਪੂਰਰਹੀਜਯਸਦਹੂਅੰ॥
ਜੈ-ਜੈ-ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਧੁਨੀ ਗੂੰਜਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ,
ਗਿਰਿਹੇਮਹਲਾਚਲਕੰਪਭੂਅੰ॥੧੨॥
ਹਿਮਾਲੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿਚ ਹਲਚਲ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਕੰਬਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ ॥੧੨॥
The sound of “hail, hail” resound, there was consternation on Himalaya mountain and the earth tembled.12.
ਦਿਨਕੇਤਕਬੀਤਗਏਜਬਹੀ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ
ਅਸੁਰੰਧਕਬੀਰਬੀਯੋਤਬਹੀ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਅੰਧਕ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਵੀਰ (ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ)।
After a long time, another demons named Andhakasura came on the scene
ਤਬਬੈਲਿਚੜਿਯੋਗਹਿਸੂਲਸਿਵੰ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਬਲਦ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਚਲਿਆ।
ਸੁਰਚਉਕਿਚਲੇਹਰਿਕੋਪਕਿਵੰ॥੧੩॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਚੌਂਕ ਗਏ ॥੧੩॥
Mounting his bull and holding his trident, Shiva moved forward (to chastise him). Seeing his terrible form, the gods were also startled.13.
ਗਣਗੰਧ੍ਰਬਜਛਸਬੈਉਰਗੰ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਗਣਾਂ, ਗੰਧਰਬਾਂ, ਯਕਸ਼ਾਂ, ਸੱਪਾਂ
ਬਰਦਾਨਦਯੋਸਿਵਕੋਦੁਰਗੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ
Shiva marched forward alongwith Ganas, Gandharavas, Yakshas and Nagas and Durga also granted boon to him.
ਹਨਿਹੋਨਿਰਖੰਤਮੁਰਾਰਿਸੁਰੰ॥
(ਕਿ) ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ (ਅੰਧਕ) ਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਮਾਰਨਗੇ
ਤ੍ਰਿਪੁਰਾਰਿਹਨਿਯੋਜਿਮਕੈਤ੍ਰਿਪੁਰੰ॥੧੪॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਪੁਰ (ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ) ਤ੍ਰਿਪੁਰ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧੪॥
The gods began to see that Shiva would kill Andhakasura in the same way as he had killed the demon Tripura.14.
ਉਹਓਰਿਚੜੇਦਲਲੈਦੁਜਨੰ॥
ਉਧਰੋਂ ਵੈਰੀ (ਅੰਧਕ) ਸੈਨਾ-ਦਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ
ਇਹਓਰਰਿਸ੍ਰਯੋਗਹਿਸੂਲਸਿਵੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਧਰੋਂ (ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
Form the other side that demons of vicious intellect started. From this side in great fury and holding the trident in his hand, Shiva moved.
ਰਣਰੰਗਰੰਗੇਰਣਧੀਰਰਣੰ॥
(ਉਹ) ਦੋਵੇਂ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
ਜਨਸੋਭਤਪਾਵਕਜੁਆਲਬਣੰ॥੧੫॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ) ਮਾਨੋ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਲਾਟਾਂ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੫॥
Intoxicated with war-tactics, the mighty warriors presented the scene like the blazing flames of fire in the forst.15.
ਦਨੁਦੇਵਦੋਊਰਣਰੰਗਰਚੇ॥
ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਝ ਗਏ।
ਗਹਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਬੈਰਸਰੁਦ੍ਰਮਚੇ॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
Both the demons and gods became absorbed in the war and bedecking themselves with weapons all the warriors enjoyed the relish of anger.
ਸਰਛਾਡਤਬੀਰਦੋਊਹਰਖੈ॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਹਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਣ ਛਡਦੇ ਸਨ
ਜਨੁਅੰਤਿਪ੍ਰਲੈਘਨਸੈਬਰਖੈ॥੧੬॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਪਰਲੋ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਦਲ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੬॥
The warriors of both the sides enjoyed the shooting of arrows and the arrows are being showered like the raining of clouds on the doomsday.16.
