ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਛੁਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਹਿਲ ਗਿਆ।

ਸਰਸੇਲਸਿਲਾਸਿਤਐਸਬਹੇ॥
ਪੱਥਰ ਉਤੇ ਘਿਸਾ ਕੇ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਛੇ ਇੰਜ ਚਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਨਭਅਉਰਧਰਾਦੋਊਪੂਰਿਰਹੇ॥੧੭॥
ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਢੱਕੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ॥੧੭॥
The arrows, daggers and stones were flying and filling both the earth and the sky.17.
ਗਣਗੰਧ੍ਰਬਦੇਖਿਦੋਊਹਰਖੇ॥
ਗਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਪੁਹਪਾਵਲਿਦੇਵਸਭੈਬਰਖੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਲਾਵਾਂ ਬਰਸਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
The Ganas and Gandharvas, seeing both, were pleased and the gods showered flowers.
ਮਿਲਗੇਭਟਆਪਬਿਖੈਦੋਊਯੋ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੋਧੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ ਸਨ
ਸਿਸਖੇਲਤਰੈਣਿਹੁਡੂਹੁਡਜਿਯੋ॥੧੮॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਲਕ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ (ਜ਼ਿਦ-ਬਜ਼ਿਦੀ) ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੮॥
Two warriors were fighting with each other like the children competing with one another in their play during the night.18.

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
The warriors are thundering in the war and seeing them both the gods and demons are feeling shy
ਇਕਸੂਰਘਾਇਲਘੂੰਮਹੀ॥
ਕਈ ਇਕ ਘਾਇਲ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ)
ਜਨੁਧੂਮਿਅਧੋਮੁਖਧੂਮਹੀ॥੧੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਸੇਵਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੂਧੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਪੀ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੯॥
The brave fighters, who have been wounded, are roaming and it appears that the smoke is flying upwards.19.

ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਸਨ,
ਜੁਝੇਅਜੁਝਜੁਝਾਰਹੀ॥
ਨਾ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਜੂਝ ਕੇ ਵੀਰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
The brave fighters of many types are fighting bravely with one another.

ਝੰਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਫਰ-ਫਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਥਹਰੰਤਜੋਧਕਿਕਾਣਯੰ॥੨੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜ ਸਵਾਰ ਯੋਧੇ (ਫੁਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ) ਥਰਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੨੦॥
The lances and arrows are being hurled and the horses of the warriors are advancing hesitantly.20.

ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਬਰਛਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
Millions of horses are neighing and the warriors are showering arrows
ਛੁਟਕੰਤਸਾਇਕਸੁਧ॥
ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੀਰ ਚਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਮਚਿਯੋਅਨੂਪਮਜੁਧ॥੨੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ॥੨੧॥
The bows have slipped and fallen from the hands and in this way the terrible and unique war is being waged.21.

ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਲੜਦੇ ਸਨ)
ਜੁਝੇਅਨੰਤਸ੍ਵਾਰ॥
ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਸਵਾਰ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਸਨ।
Many types of warriors and innumerable horsemen are fighting with one another
ਬਾਹੈਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣਨਿਸੰਗ॥
ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਸੈਨਿਕ) ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ
ਮਚਿਯੋਅਪੂਰਬਜੰਗ॥੨੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ॥੨੨॥
They are striking their swords without any suspicion and in this way, a unique war is going on.22.

ਬਾਹਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣਸੁਬਾਣਭਟਗਣ॥
ਸੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਤੀਰ ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਅੰਤਿਗਿਰੈਪੁਨਿਜੂਝਿਮਹਾਰਣਿ॥
ਅੰਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਵੱਡੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਜੂਝ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਦੇ ਸਨ।
After striking their swords and arrows, the brave fighters ultimately fell down during that great war.
ਘਾਇਲਗੈਇਮਘਾਇਲਝੂਲੈ॥
ਜ਼ਖਮ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਘਾਇਲ ਇੰਜ ਝੂਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਫਾਗੁਨਿਅੰਤਿਬਸੰਤਸੇਫੂਲੈ॥੨੩॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਫਗਣ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਸੰਤ ਫੁਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਝੂਲਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੩॥
The wounded warriors are swinging like the blossomed spring at the end of the month of Phagun.23.

ਇਕਨਾਂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਾਂਹ ਇੰਜ ਲਗਦੀ ਸੀ
ਸੁੰਡਮਨੋਗਜਰਾਜਨਜੈਸੀ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਗਜ-ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਡ ਡਿਗੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
Somewhere the chopped arms of the warriors appear like the trunks of the elephants
ਸੋਹਤਏਕਅਨੇਕਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੰ॥
ਇਕ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਸਨ
ਫੂਲਖਿਲੇਜਨੁਮਧਿਫੁਲਵਾਰੰ॥੨੪॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਫੁਲਵਾੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਫੁਲ ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੨੪॥
The brave fighters appear beautiful like the flowers blooming in the garden.24.
ਸ੍ਰੋਣਰੰਗੇਅਰਿਏਕਅਨੇਕੰ॥
ਕਈ ਇਕ ਵੈਰੀ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਜ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ
ਫੂਲਰਹੇਜਨੁਕਿੰਸਕਨੇਕੰ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਕੇਸੂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਫੁਲ ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਣ।
The enemies were dyed with blood like many types of blooming flowers.
ਧਾਵਤਘਾਵਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੰ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ (ਇਧਰ ਉਧਰ) ਭਜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ
ਜਾਨੁਕਿਕੋਪਪ੍ਰਤਛਦਿਖਾਰੰ॥੨੫॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੫॥
After having been wounded with swords the brave soldiers were roaming like the manifestation of anger itself.25.

ਅਤੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਤਨੇ ਅਧਿਕ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਲਗੇ ਸਨ।
Many enemies fell down fighting and Narsingh, the incarnation of Vishnu also received many wounds.
ਕਾਟਿਗਿਰੇਭਟਏਕਹਿਵਾਰੰ॥
ਇਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ (ਨਰਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਸਾਬੁਨਜਾਨੁਗਈਬਹਿਤਾਰੰ॥੨੬॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਰ ਚਲ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੬॥
The chopped bits of the warriors were flowing in the stream of blood like the bubbles of foam.26.
ਪੂਰਪਰੇਭਏਚੂਰਸਿਪਾਹੀ॥
ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰ ਚੂਰ ਚੂਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ,
ਸੁਆਮਿਕੇਕਾਜਕੀਲਾਜਨਿਬਾਹੀ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਾਜ ਪਾਲੀ ਸੀ।
The fighting soldiers, having been cut into bits, fell down, but none of them put to disrepute the dignity of their master.
ਬਾਹਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣਨਬਾਣਸੁਬੀਰੰ॥
ਕਈ ਇਕ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ,

ਪਰ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਧੀਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੨੭॥
Showing the blows of the swords and arrows, the warriors fled away ultimately in great fear.27.
