ਸਾਰੇ ਵੀਰ ਯੋਧੇ ਅਧੀਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ
ਲਾਜਬਿਸਰਗਈਭਏਅਧੀਰਾ॥
ਲਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਛਡਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
All the warriors, abandoning their shyness and getting impatient left the battlefield and ran away.
ਹਿਰਿਨਾਛਸਤਬਆਪੁਰਿਸਾਨਾ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਹਿਰਨਕਸ਼ਪ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ
ਬਾਧਿਚਲ੍ਯੋਰਣਕੋਕਰਿਗਾਨਾ॥੨੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਗਾਨਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਿਆ ॥੨੮॥
Seeing this, Hirnayakashipu himself in great ire, moved forward for waging war.28.
ਭਰਿਯੋਰੋਸਨਰਸਿੰਘਸਰੂਪੰ॥
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਆ ਗਿਆ
ਆਵਤਦੇਖਿਸਮੁਹੇਰਣਿਭੂਪੰ॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੈਂਤ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
Seeing the Emperor coming towards him, Narsingh also got infuriated.
ਨਿਜਘਾਵਨਕੋਰੋਸਨਮਾਨਾ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ,
ਨਿਰਖਿਸੇਵਕਹਿਦੁਖੀਰਿਸਾਨਾ॥੨੯॥
ਪਰ ਸੇਵਕ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੯॥
He did not care for his wounds, because he was in extreme agony of seeing the suffering on his devotees.29.

ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਗਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ (ਜਟਾ) ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਡਰਾਉਣੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਗਜਿਆ।
ਉਡ੍ਯੋਹੇਰਿਬੀਰਾਨਕੇਮੁਖਿਨੂਰੰ॥
ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਉਡ ਗਿਆ।
Giving a jeck to his neck, Narsingh raised a terrible thunder and listening to his thunder, the faces of the heroes turned pale.
ਉਠ੍ਯੋਨਾਦਬੰਕੇਛੁਹੀਗੈਣਿਰਜੰ॥
ਉਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਾਦ ਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਧੂੜ ਨੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਢਕ ਲਿਆ।
ਹਸੇਦੇਵਸਰਬੰਭਏਦੈਤਲਜੰ॥੩੦॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਸਣ ਲਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੩੦॥
Because of that dreadful sound, the earth trembled and its dust touched the sky. All the gods began to smile and the heads of the demons bowed down with shame.30.
ਮਚ੍ਯੰਦੁੰਦਜੁਧੰਮਚੇਦੁਇਜੁਆਣੰ॥
ਦੁਅੰਦ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੁੱਧਵੀਰ ਵੀ ਭੜਕ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਤੜੰਕਾਰਤੇਗੰਕੜਕੇਕਮਾਣੰ॥
ਤੇਗਾਂ ਤੜਕ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਾਨਾਂ ਕੜਕ ਰਹੀਆ ਸਨ।
The dreadful war of both the heroic fighters got ablazed, and the clattering sound of the sword and the cracking sound of the bows was heard.

ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੜਿਆ
ਹੜੰਸ੍ਰੋਣਚਲੇਮਧੰਮੁਲਤਾਣੰ॥੩੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਹੂ ਦਾ ਹੜ ਵਗਣ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ ॥੩੧॥
The demon-king fought in great fury and there was a flood of blood in the battlefield.31.
ਕੜਕਾਰਤੇਗੰਤੜਕਾਰਤੀਰੰ॥
ਤੇਗਾਂ ਕੜਕ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਤੀਰ ਤੜਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਭਏਟੂਕਟੂਕੰਰਣੰਬੀਰਧੀਰੰ॥
ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਟੋਟੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
With the clattering of swords and the crackling noise of the arrows, the mighty and the enduring heroes were chopped into bits
ਬਜੇਸੰਖਭੂਰੰਸੁਢੋਲੰਢਮੰਕੇ॥
ਸੰਖ, ਤੁਰੀਆਂ ਵਜ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਢੋਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਢੰਮਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਰੜੰਕੰਕਬੰਕੇਡਹੈਬੀਰਬੰਕੇ॥੩੨॥
ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਾਂ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੀਰ ਜੁਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ॥੩੨॥
The conches, clarionets and drums resounded and the wanton soldiers, riding on the sharp horses stood firmly in the battlefield.32.
ਭਜੇਬਾਜਿਗਾਜੀਸਿਪਾਹੀਅਨੇਕੰ॥
ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ (ਗਾਜੀ) ਘੋੜ-ਸਵਾਰ ਆਦਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਭਜ ਗਏ।
ਰਹੇਠਾਢਿਭੂਪਾਲਆਗੇਨਏਕੰ॥
ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਭੂਪਾਲ (ਨਰਸਿੰਘ) ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਡਟ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ।
Many a warrior riding on the horses and elephants fled away and none of the chiefs could stand against Narsingh.
ਫਿਰਿਯੋਸਿੰਘਸੂਰੰਸੁਕ੍ਰੂਰੰਕਰਾਲੰ॥
