ਜਦੋਂ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਰ ਖਾ ਲਈ
ਭਯੋਅੰਤ੍ਰਧ੍ਯਾਨੰਕਰਿਯੋਜਾਨੁਤੰਤੰ॥
(ਤਦੋਂ) ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਧਿਆਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਮਾਨੋ (ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ) ਤੰਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
The gods were defeated in the war and Vishnu, thinking over it disappeared, with the help of Tantric science.
ਮਹਾਮੋਹਨੀਰੂਪਧਾਰਿਯੋਅਨੂਪੰ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਮਹਾ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਦਾ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ,
ਛਕੇਦੇਖਿਦੋਊਦਿਤਿਯਾਦਿਤਿਭੂਪੰ॥੨੦॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ॥੨੦॥
Then he manifested himself in the unique form of Maha-Mohini, seeing whom, the chief of the demons and gods were highly pleased.20.

ਮਹਾਮੋਹਨੀਰੂਪਧਾਰਿਯੋਅਪਾਰੰ॥
(ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ) ਮਹਾ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਪਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ
Vishnu transformed himself into form of Maha Mohini
ਰਹੇਮੋਹਿਕੈਦਿਤਿਆਦਿਤਿਯਾਕੁਮਾਰੰ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਦਿਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਿਤਿ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਦੈਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ) ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
Seeing which both and the demons were allured.
ਛਕੇਪ੍ਰੇਮਜੋਗੰਰਹੇਰੀਝਸਰਬੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰੀਝ ਗਏ
All of them wanted to please her and thought of sharing her love
ਤਜੈਸਸਤ੍ਰਅਸਤ੍ਰੰਦੀਯੋਛੋਰਗਰਬੰ॥੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ, ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧॥
And all abandoned their weapons and also their prride.1.
ਫੰਧੇਪ੍ਰੇਮਫਾਧੰਭਯੋਕੋਪਹੀਣੰ॥
(ਸਾਰੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਫੰਧੇ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
All of them, having been entrapped in her noose of love, forsook their anger,
ਲਗੈਨੈਨਬੈਨੰਧਯੋਪਾਨਿਪੀਣੰ॥
(ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਨੈਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ (ਦੇ ਬਾਣ ਲਗੇ) ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਦੀ) ਮਦਿਰਾ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਦੌੜੇ।
And rushed towards her in order to relish the wantonness of her eyes and the sweetness of her words
ਗਿਰੇਝੂੰਮਿਭੂਮੰਛੁਟੇਜਾਨਪ੍ਰਾਣੰ॥
(ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ) ਘੁਮੇਰੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੀ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ।
All of them, while swinging, fell on the earth as though they were lifeless
ਸਭੈਚੇਤਹੀਣੰਲਗੇਜਾਨਬਾਣੰ॥੨॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਹੀਣ ਹੋਣ ਲਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੀਰ ਲਗੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹ ਨਾ ॥੨॥
All become without consciousness as though they were hit by the arrows.2.
ਲਖੇਚੇਤਹੀਣੰਭਏਸੂਰਸਰਬੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਤੋ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਛੁਟੇਸਸਤ੍ਰਅਸਤ੍ਰੰਸਭੈਅਰਬਖਰਬੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਅਰਬ ਖਰਬ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
Seeing all of the without consciousness, the weapons and arms were discharged by the gods
ਭਯੋਪ੍ਰੇਮਜੋਗੰਲਗੇਨੈਨਐਸੇ॥
(ਮੋਹਨੀ ਦੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਵਿਚ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਗੀਆਂ ਸਨ,
The demons began to die and felt that they were considered worthy of love for Mohini.
ਮਨੋਫਾਧਿਫਾਧੇਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਰਾਜਜੈਸੇ॥੩॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀਰੇ ਹਿਰਨ ਨੇ (ਹਿਰਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਫੰਧੇ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
They appeared like the lion entrapped in a snare.3.
ਜਿਨੈਰਤਨਬਾਟੇਤੁਮਊਤਾਹਿਜਾਨੋ॥
ਮੋਹਨੀ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਰਤਨ ਵੰਡੇ, ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ) ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਕਥਾਬ੍ਰਿਧਤੇਬਾਤਥੋਰੀਬਖਾਨੋ॥
ਕਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਧਣ (ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ) ਥੋੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
You know the story of thee distribution of the jewels
ਸਬੈਪਾਤਿਪਾਤੰਬਹਿਠੈਸੁਬੀਰੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ (ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ) ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ।
Therefore for fear of the increase in narration, I relate it only in brief
ਕਟੰਪੇਚਛੋਰੇਤਜੇਤੇਗਤੀਰੰ॥੪॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਕਮਰਕਸੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੪॥
All the warriors, loosening the waist-garments and forsaking the sword, sat in a line.4.

ਕਲਪਬ੍ਰਿਛੁਲਛਮੀਕਰਿਲੀਆ॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਲਪ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਤੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਖ ਲਏ।
Dhanwantri was given for the world and the wish-fulfilling tree and Lakshmi were given to gods.
ਸਿਵਮਾਹੁਰਰੰਭਾਸਭਲੋਕਨ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲ-ਕੂਟ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਪੱਛਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ
Shiva was given the poison and Rambha, the heavenly damsel, was given to al other people
ਸੁਖਕਰਤਾਹਰਤਾਸਭਸੋਕਨ॥੫॥
ਜੋ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸੋਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ ॥੫॥
She was the giver of al comforts and the destroyer of the sufferings.5.

ਸਸਿਕ੍ਰਿਸਕੇਕਰਬੇਨਮਿਤਮਨਿਲਛਮੀਕਰਿਲੀਨ॥
ਖੇਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਕਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ (ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ) ਅਤੇ ਕੌਸਤੁਭ ਮਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਖਿਆ।
Maha Mohini took the moon in his own hand for giving it to someone and also the gem and Laksmi for keeping it with herself
ਉਰਿਰਾਖੀਤਿਹਤੇਚਮਕਪ੍ਰਗਟਦਿਖਾਈਦੀਨ॥੬॥
(ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਗਲੇ ਵਿਚ (ਹਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ) ਪਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਦਿਸਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੬॥
She concealed the gem and Lakshmi for keeping it with herself
ਗਾਇਰਿਖੀਸਨਕਉਦਈਕਹਲਉਕਰੋਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਮਧੇਨੁ ਗਊ ਦਿੱਤੀ, (ਸੁ ਮੈਂ) ਕਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਾਂ।
The wish-fulfilling cow was given to the sages how far can I describe all these things
ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਸੋਧਕਬੀਅਨਮੁਖਨਲੀਜਹੁਪੂਛਿਸੁਧਾਰ॥੭॥
(ਹੇ ਸਰੋਤਿਓ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖ਼ੁਦ) ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛ ਕੇ (ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ) ਸੋਧ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ ॥੭॥
You may improve (their description) by feflecting on the Shastras and asking the poets.7.

ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ (ਇਸ ਵੰਡ ਤੋਂ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਸਨ
ਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਰਾਜਜੈਸੇਸੁਨੇਨਾਦਕਾਨੰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਘੰਟਾਹੇੜਾ) ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਕੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹੀਰਾ ਹਿਰਨ (ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Both the gods and demons were swinging like the king or deer, who gets absorbed in the sound of music.
ਬਟੇਰਤਨਸਰਬੰਗਈਛੂਟਰਾਰੰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਰਤਨ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ, ਲੜਾਈ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਧਰਿਯੋਐਸਸ੍ਰੀਬਿਸਨੁਪੰਚਮਵਤਾਰੰ॥੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੮॥
All the jewels were distributed and the dispute ended in this way, the fifth incarnation of the Vishnu became apparent.8.

ਭਗਵਾਨ (ਮੋਹਨੀ) ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਗਏਠਾਮਠਾਮੰਸਬੈਦੇਵਦਾਨੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਠਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ।
In this way, the god Vishnu distributed the honey and ambrosia and all gods and demons went away to their places.
ਪੁਨਰਦ੍ਰੋਹਬਢਿਯੋਸੁਆਪੰਮਝਾਰੰ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਫਿਰ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ।
ਭਜੇਦੇਵਤਾਦਈਤਜਿਤੇਜੁਝਾਰੰ॥੧॥
ਦੇਵਤੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਝਾਰੂ ਦੈਂਤ ਜਿਤ ਗਏ ॥੧॥
Again the enmity grew between both of them and the war was waged in which the gods fled and could not withstand the demons.1.
ਹਿਰਿਨ੍ਰਯੋਹਿਰਿੰਨਾਛਸੰਦੋਇਬੀਰੰ॥
ਹਿਰਨਕਸ਼ਪ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਨਾਖਸ਼ (ਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਦੋ ਦੈਂਤ ਵੀਰ (ਹੋਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ)
Hiranayaksha and Hiranayakashipu, both the demon brothers,
