ਬਕੈਬਰਕਮਾਕਰਦਬਾਰਸ਼ਕਰੀਮ॥੮੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਮਾਨ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੮੪॥
And began to emit arrows like a rain storm.(84)
ਚਪੋਰਾਸਤਓਕਰਦਖ਼ਮਕਰਦਰਾਸਤ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਸਿਧੇ ਅਤੇ ਟੇਢੇ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ
Swiftly moving his hands to the right and to the left,
ਗਰੇਵੇਕਮਾਚਰਖ਼ਚੀਨੀਬਿਖ਼ਾਸਤ॥੮੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੀਨ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੂੰਜ ਉਠੀ ॥੮੫॥
He used the Chinese bow, which thundered the skies.(85)
ਹਰਾਕਸਕਿਨੇਜ਼ਹਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਮੁਸ਼ਤ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਦੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਾਲਾ ਨੇਜ਼ਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾ,
Who-so-ever was struck with his spear,
ਦੁਤਾਗਸ਼ਤਮੁਸ਼ਤੇਹਮੀਚਾਰਗਸ਼ਤ॥੮੬॥
ਉਹ ਦੋ ਜਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੮੬॥
He was torn either into two or four pieces.(86)
ਬਿਯਾਵੇਖ਼ਤਬਾਦੀਗਰੇਬਾਜ਼ਪਰ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਜ ਚੰਬੜ ਗਏ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਜ਼ (ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ) ਚੰਬੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
She wanted to grab him like a vulture seizes its prey,
ਚੁਸੁਰਖ਼ਅਜ਼ਦਹਾਬਰਹਮੀਸ਼ੇਰਨਰ॥੮੭॥
ਜਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਅਜ਼ਦਹਾ (ਵੱਡਾ ਸੱਪ) ਸ਼ੇਰ ਮਰਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮੭॥
And a red reptile wrapped around a valiant man.(87)
ਚੁਨਾਬਾਨਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਤੀਰੋਤੁਫ਼ੰਗ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਜੰਗ ਹੋਈ
The intensity of the arrows was so great,
ਜ਼ਿਮੀਕੁਸ਼ਤਗਾਨਸ਼ਸ਼ੁਦਹਲਾਲਹਰੰਗ॥੮੮॥
ਕਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਦੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੮੮॥
That the soil got drenched with the blood.(88)
ਕੁਨਦਤੀਰਬਾਰਾਨਰੋਜ਼ੇਤਮਾਮ॥
ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੀ,
All day the arrows were showered,
ਕਸੇਰਾਨਗਸ਼ਤੀਦਮਕਸੂਦਕਾਮ॥੮੯॥
ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੀ ॥੮੯॥
But none came out to be victorious.(89)
ਅਜ਼ੋਜੰਗਜ਼ੋਮਾਦਗੀਮਾਦਹਗਸ਼ਤ॥
ਉਸ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ) ਥਕ ਕੇ ਮਾਂਦੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ
The brave ones became weary with tiredness,
ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਹਰਦੋਦਰਆਪਹਿਨਦਸਤ॥੯੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਗਏ ॥੯੦॥
And started to fell flat on the barren land.(90)
ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹਿਰੂਮੀਸਿਪਰਦਾਦਰੋਇ॥
'ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹਿ ਰੂਮੀ' (ਸੂਰਜ) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਢਾਲ ਰਖ ਲਈ
The Emperor, the Great, of Rome (sun) covered its face,
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਸ਼ਾਹਿਪੈਦਾਸ਼ੁਦਹਨੇਕਖ਼ੋਇ॥੯੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ (ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ) ਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੯੧॥
And other King (moon) coolly took over the reign.(91)
ਨਦਰਜੰਗਆਸੂਦਹਸ਼ੁਦਯਕਜ਼ਮਾ॥
ਇਸ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ (ਭਾਵ ਜਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ)
In this war, none attained the comfort,
ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਹਰਦੋਚੁਨੀਕੁਸ਼ਤਗਾ॥੯੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ॥੯੨॥
And both sides were felling flat like the dead bodies.(92)
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਰੋਜ਼ਬਰਖ਼ਾਸਤਹਰਦੋਬਜੰਗ॥
ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਉਠ ਖੜੋਤੇ
But next day again both became vivacious,
ਬਿਆਵੇਖ਼ਤਬਾਯਕਦਿਗ਼ਰਚੂੰਨਿਹੰਗ॥੯੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਮਗਰਮੱਛਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੜਨ ਲਗ ਪਏ ॥੯੩॥
And like crocodiles pounced upon each other.(93)
ਵਜ਼ਾਹਰਦੁਤਨਕੂਜ਼ਹਗਾਨੇਸ਼ੁਦਹ॥
ਉਥੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ (ਲੜ ਲੜ ਕੇ) ਕੁੱਬੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ
The bodies of both sides were torn apart,
ਕਜ਼ਾਸੀਨਹਗਾਹੀਨਅਰਵਾਸ਼ੁਦਹ॥੯੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ (ਭਾਵ-ਲਹੂ ਲੁਹਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ) ॥੯੪॥
And their chests were laden with blood.(94)
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਚੁਮੁਸ਼ਕੀਨਿਹੰਗ॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਮਗਰਮੱਛ) ਨਚਣ ਲਗੇ
They came dancing like black crocodiles,
ਬਸੇਬੰਗਸੀਬੋਜ਼ਬੰਗੋਪਿਲੰਗ॥੯੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਬੰਗਸ਼ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਚੀਨੀ ਘੋੜੇ ਚਿਤਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਕੁਦਣ ਲਗੇ ॥੯੫॥
And octopuses of the country of Bangash.(95)
ਕਿਅਬਲਕਸਿਯਾਹਅਬਲਕੋਬੋਜ਼ਬੋਰ॥
ਡਬਖੜਬੇ, ਕਾਲੇ, ਗਦਰੇ, ਚਿਤਰੇ ਘੋੜੇ
The lopsided, black, and spotted horses,
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਚੁਤਾਊਸਮੋਰ॥੯੬॥
ਮੋਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਚਣ ਲਗੇ ॥੯੬॥
Came in dancing like the peacocks.(96)
ਜ਼ਿਰਹਪਾਰਹਸ਼ੁਦਖ਼ੋਦਵਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਾਬਜੰਗ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਵਚ, ਟੋਪ, ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ
Various types of armours,
ਜ਼ਿਬਕਤਰਜ਼ਿਬਰਗ਼ਸ਼ਤਵਾਬਾਖ਼ੁਦੰਗ॥੯੭॥
ਸੰਜੋਅ ਟੋਟੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੯੭॥
Were torn apart into pieces in the fight.(97)
ਚੁਨਾਤੀਰਬਾਰਾਸ਼ਵਦਕਾਰਜ਼ਾਰ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਹੋਈ
The intensity of the arrows was so fierce,
ਜ਼ਿਬਕਤਰਜ਼ਿਜ਼ਿਰਹਾਬਰਾਰਦਸ਼ਰਾਰ॥੯੮॥
ਕਿ ਕਵਚਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਗਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਲਗ ਗਈਆਂ ॥੯੮॥
That fire started to emanate from the shields.(98)
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਚੁਸ਼ੇਰੇਨਿਹੰਗ॥
ਯੋਧਿਆਂ (ਦੇ ਘੋੜੇ) ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਚਣ ਲਗੇ
The braves commenced dancing like the lions,
ਜ਼ਿਮੀਗਸ਼ਤਸ਼ੁਦਹਮਚੁਪੁਸ਼ਤੇਪਿਲੰਗ॥੯੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਚਿਤਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਿਠ ਵਾਂਗ ਡਬਖੜਬੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੯੯॥
And with the hoofs of the horses, the soil looked like the back of leopard.(99)
ਚੁਨਾਜ਼੍ਰਯਾਦਹਸ਼ੁਦਆਤਸ਼ੇਤੀਰਬਾਰ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਤਨੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ
The fire was let loose with the showers of the arrows so much,
ਕਿਅਕਲਅਜ਼ਮਗ਼ਜ਼ਰਫ਼ਤਹੋਸ਼ਅਜ਼ਦਿਯਾਰ॥੧੦੦॥
ਕਿ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਮਾਗ਼, ਅਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਸ਼ ਠਿਕਾਣੇ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ ॥੧੦੦॥
That the intellect abandoned the minds, and the senses took their leave.(100)
ਚੁਨਾਆਵੇਖ਼ਤਹਰਦੋਹੁਮਾਜਾਇਜੰਗ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਉਲਝ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਮਿਆਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ
Both sides were absorbed to such an extent,
ਕਿਤੇਗ਼ਅਜ਼ਮਿਯਾਗਸ਼ਤਤਰਕਸ਼ਖਤੰਗ॥੧੦੧॥
(ਭਾਵ-ਟੁਟ ਗਈਆਂ) ਅਤੇ ਭਥਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤੀਰ ਮੁਕ ਗਏ ॥੧੦੧॥
That their scabbards became swordless and the quivers were all emptied.(101)
ਚੁਨਾਜੰਗਕਰਦੰਦਸੁਬਹਤਾਬਸ਼ਾਮ॥
(ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸਵੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਜੰਗ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੀ
From morning till evening they continued fighting,
ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਮੁਰਛਤਨਖ਼ੁਰਦੰਦਤਆਮ॥੧੦੨॥
ਕਿ ਰੋਟੀ ਤਕ ਨਾ ਖਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ॥੧੦੨॥
As they did not have time to take meals, they fell flat.(102)
ਜਿਖ਼ੁਦਮਾਦਹਸ਼ੁਦਹਰਦੁਦਰਜਾਇਜੰਗ॥
ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪ ਬਹੁਤ ਥਕ ਗਏ।
And the tiredness had ousted them absolutely,
ਚੁਸ਼ੇਰੋਯੀਆਨੋਚੁਬਾਜ਼ਾਪਿਲੰਗ॥੧੦੩॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਦੋ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ, ਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਚਿਤਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੜਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ॥੧੦੩॥
Because they had been fighting like two lions, two vultures or two leopards.(103)
ਚੁਹਬਸ਼ੀਬਰੁਦਦੁਜ਼ਦਦੀਨਾਰਜ਼ਰਦ॥
ਹਬਸ਼ੀ (ਚੋਰ) ਨੇ ਪੀਲੀ ਮੋਹਰ ਚੁਰਾ ਲਈ (ਭਾਵ-ਸੂਰਜ ਡੁਬ ਗਿਆ)
When the slave took away the golden crest (sun set).
ਜਹਾਗਸ਼ਤਚੂੰਗੁੰਬਜ਼ੇਦੂਦਗਰਦ॥੧੦੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਧੂੰਏਂ ਅਤੇ ਘਟੇ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੦੪॥
And the universe was enveloped in the darkness,(104)
ਸਿਯਮਰੋਜ਼ਚੌਗਾਬਿਬੁਰਦਆਫ਼ਤਾਬ॥
ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਦ ਸੂਰਜ (ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਰੂਪੀ) ਖੂੰਡੀ ਨਾਲ (ਰਾਤ ਰੂਪੀ) ਗੇਂਦ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ
Then on the third day the sun triumphed and came out,
ਜਹਾਗਸ਼ਤਚੂੰਰਉਸ਼ਨਸ਼ਮਾਹਿਤਾਬ॥੧੦੫॥
ਤਾਂ ਜਹਾਨ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦਨੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੦੫॥
And, like moon, everything became visible.(105)
ਬੁਬਰਖ਼ਾਸਤਹਰਦੋਅਜ਼ੀਂਜਾਇਜੰਗ॥
ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਉਠ ਪਏ
Once again, at the site of the war, they became alert,
ਰਵਾਕਰਦਹਰਸੂਇਤੀਰੋਤੁਫ਼ੰਗ॥੧੦੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ॥੧੦੬॥
And commenced to throw arrows and shoot the guns.(106)
ਚੁਨਾਗਰਮਸ਼ੁਦਆਤਸ਼ੇਕਾਰਜ਼ਾਰ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਜੰਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਚ ਪਈ
The fight flared again,
ਕਿਫ਼ੀਲੇਦੁਦਹਹਜ਼ਾਰਆਮਦਬਕਾਰ॥੧੦੭॥
ਤਾਂ ੧੨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਹਾਥੀ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ॥੧੦੭॥
And twelve thousand elephants were destroyed.(107)
ਬਕਾਰਆਮਦਹਅਸਪਹਫ਼ਤਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਸੱਤ ਲੱਖ ਘੋੜੇ
Seven hundred thousand horses were killed,
