ਹਮਹਜ੍ਵਾਨਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਹਨਾਮਦਾਰ॥੧੦੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮੀ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ॥੧੦੮॥
And all the stalwart young men were eliminated.(108)
ਜ਼ਿਸਿੰਧੀਵਅਰਬੀਵਐਰਾਕਰਾਇ॥
ਸਿੰਧ, ਅਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਇਰਾਕ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ
All the horses, the ones from Sindh, Arabia and Iraq,
ਬਕਾਰਆਮਦਹਅਸਪਚੂੰਬਾਦੁਪਾਇ॥੧੦੯॥
ਹਵਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਘੋੜੇ (ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ) ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ॥੧੦੯॥
Which were very fast, were annihilated.(109)
ਬਸੇਕੁਸ਼ਤਹਸਰਹੰਗਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਹਸ਼ੇਰ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ, ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ
Many lion-hearted valiant persons were exterminated,
ਬੇਵਕਤੇਤਰਦਦਬਕਾਰੇਦਲੇਰ॥੧੧੦॥
ਜੋ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੧੦॥
Who, at the time of need, showed exceptional courage.(110)
ਬਗੁਰਰੀਦਨਆਮਦਦੁਅਬਰੇਸਿਯਾਹ॥
ਦੋ ਕਾਲੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਗਜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਏ।
Two clouds (of fighters) came roaring,
ਨਮੇਖ਼ੂਨਮਾਹੀਲਕੋਤੇਗ਼ਮਾਹ॥੧੧੧॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਮੱਛਲੀਆਂ ਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਮਕਾਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈਆਂ ॥੧੧੧॥
Their action flew blood to the highest skies.(111)
ਬਜੰਗਅੰਦਰੂੰਗਉਗ਼ਹੇਗ਼ਾਜ਼ੀਯਾ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ੂਬ ਰੌਲਾ ਮਚਿਆ
Hue and cry was raised in the fields,
ਜ਼ਿਮੀਂਤੰਗਸ਼ੁਦਅਜ਼ਸੁਮੇਤਾਜ਼ੀਯਾ॥੧੧੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੧੧੨॥
And the earth was trampled over by the hoofs of the horses.(112)
ਸੁਮੇਬਾਦਪਾਯਾਨਫ਼ੌਲਾਦਨਾਲ॥
ਹਵਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਫੌਲਾਦੀ ਸੁੰਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ
Flying like wind, the horses had the steel hoofs,
ਜ਼ਿਮੀਗ਼ਸ਼ਤਪੁਸ਼ਤੇਪਿਲੰਗੀਮਿਸਾਲ॥੧੧੩॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਚਿਤਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਿਠ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਿਤਕਬਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੧੧੩॥
Which made the earth look like the back of leopard.(113)
ਚਰਾਗ਼ੇਜਹਾਨੇਖ਼ੁਮਹਬਾਦਹਖ਼ੁਰਦ॥
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ (ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ) ਪੀ ਲਿਆ
In the mean time the lamp of the universe drank the wine from the pitcher (sunset),
ਸਰੇਤਾਜਦੀਗਰਬਿਰਾਦਰਸਪੁਰਦ॥੧੧੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਦਾ ਤਾਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਭਾਵ-ਸੂਰਜ ਡੁਬ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ) ॥੧੧੪॥
And endowed the crown on the head of the brother (moon).(114)
ਬਰੋਜ਼ੇਚਹਾਰਮਤਪੀਦਆਫ਼ਤਾਬ॥
ਚੌਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੂਰਜ ਤਪਿਆ
When the sun appeared on the fourth day,
ਬਜਿਲਵਹਦਰਆਵੇਖ਼ਤਜਰਰੀਂਤਨਾਬ॥੧੧੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਲਗ਼ਾਮਾਂ ਖਿਚ ਲਈਆਂ ॥੧੧੫॥
And radiated its golden rays,(115)
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਰਵਸ਼ਮਰਦਾਨਬਸਤੰਦਕਮਰ॥
ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਲਕ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਮਨ (ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਬਣੀਆਂ)
Then, girding up their lions,
ਯਮਾਨੀਕਮਰਦਾਸਤਬਰਰੋਪਿਸਰ॥੧੧੬॥
ਕਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢਕ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੧੬॥
They took the bow of the Yaman and shielded their faces.(116)
ਚੁਹੋਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਬਜੋਸ਼ੀਦਜੰਗ॥
ਜਦ ਯੋਧੇ ਹੋਸ਼ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜੋਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਏ
They assimilated their senses, and the rage for fight blew,
ਬਰੋਸਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਚੁਕੋਸ਼ਸ਼ਪਿਲੰਗ॥੧੧੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਚਿਤਰੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਗ ਗਏ ॥੧੧੭॥
And they became extremely wrathful.(117)
ਚੁਅਮਰੋਜ਼ਕੁਸ਼ਤੰਦਦਹਿਹਜ਼ਾਰਫ਼ੀਲ॥
ਚੌਥੇ ਦਿਨ (ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਦਸ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਹਾਥੀ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ
On the fourth day, ten thousand elephants were killed,
ਦੁਦਹਿਹਜ਼ਾਰਅਸਪੋਚੁਦਰਯਾਇਨੀਲ॥੧੧੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਨੀਲ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਚਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ੧੨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਘੋੜੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ॥੧੧੮॥
And twelve thousand lightening horses were slain.(118)
ਬਕਾਰਆਮਦਹਪਿਯਾਦਹਸੀਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰ॥
(ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ) ਤਿੰਨ ਲੱਖ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ
Three hundred thousands of foot-soldiers were liquidated,
ਜਵਾਮਰਦਸ਼ੇਰਾਨਅਜ਼ਮੂਦਹਕਾਰ॥੧੧੯॥
ਜੋ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਜਵਾਂ ਮਰਦ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ॥੧੧੯॥
Who were like the lions and very adept.(119)
ਕੁਨਦਜ਼ਰਹੇਰਥਚਹਾਰੋਹਜ਼ਾਰ॥
ਚਾਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰਥ ਟੋਟੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ
Four thousands chariots were shattered,
ਬਸ਼ੇਰਅਫ਼ਕਨੋਜੰਗਆਮੁਖ਼ਤਹਕਾਰ॥੧੨੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਵੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ॥੧੨੦॥
And many killers of the lions were decimated, too.(120)
ਕਿਅਜ਼ਚਾਰਤੀਰਅਸਪਕੁਸ਼ਤਸ਼ਚਹਾਰ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਚਾਰ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾ ਕੇ (ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ) ਚਾਰ ਘੋੜੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ
Four horses of Subhat Singh were slaughtered,
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਤੀਰਕੁਸ਼ਤਸ਼ਸਰੇਬਹਿਲਦਾਰ॥੧੨੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਤੀਰ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੨੧॥
The second arrow pierced through the head of his chariot- driver.(121)
ਸਿਯਮਤੀਰਜ਼ਦਹਰਦੋਅਬਰੂਸ਼ਿਕੰਜ॥
ਤੀਜੀ ਵਾਰ (ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਵਟਿਆਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ,
The third arrow hit above his eyebrows,
ਕਿਮਾਰੇਬਪੇਚੀਦਜ਼ਿਸਉਦਾਇਗੰਜ॥੧੨੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਏ ਸੱਪ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਲ ਖਾਣ ਲਗਾ ॥੧੨੨॥
And he felt like a snake had been forced out of a treasure.(122)
ਚਹਾਰਮਬਿਜ਼ਦਤੀਰਖ਼ਬਰਸ਼ਨਿਯਾਫ਼ਤ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਚੌਥਾ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਰਤ ਭੁਲ ਗਈ।
When the fourth arrow was hit, he lost all his consciousness,
ਕਿਭਰਮਸ਼ਬਬਰਖ਼ਾਸਤਧਰਮਸ਼ਨਤਾਫ਼ਤ॥੧੨੩॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਰਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਗਿਆ ਵੀ ਭੁਲ ਗਈ ॥੧੨੩॥
His determination fled away and forgot his sense of righteousness.(123)
ਬਿਜ਼ਦਚੂੰਚੁਅਮਕੈਬਰੇਨਾਜ਼ਨੀਂ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਚੌਥਾ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ)
As the fourth arrow had penetrated nearby his wind-pipe,
ਬਖ਼ੁਰਦੰਦਸ਼ਹਿਰਗਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਦਜ਼ਿਮੀਂ॥੧੨੪॥
ਸ਼ਾਹ ਰਾਗ ਉਤੇ ਵਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੧੨੪॥
And he had fallen on the ground.(124)
ਬਿਦਾਨਿਸਤਕਿਈਂਮਰਦਪਯਮੁਰਦਹਗ਼ਸ਼ਤ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਅੱਧਮੋਇਆ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ
It became apparent that the man was almost dead,
ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਬੂਮਹਮਚੁਨੀਸ਼ੇਰਮਸਤ॥੧੨੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਮਸਤ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੨੫॥
As he had dropped down like an inebriated lion.(125)
ਕਿਅਜ਼ਰਥਬਿਯਾਮਦਬਰਾਮਦਜ਼ਿਮੀ॥
ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਰਥ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਆਈ
She stepped out of her chariot, and stepped down on the ground,
ਖ਼ਰਾਮੀਦਹਸ਼ੁਦਪੈਕਰੇਨਾਜ਼ਨੀ॥੧੨੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਪੁਤਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਲ ਪਈ ॥੧੨੬॥
She looked like very delicate but steadfast.(126)
ਬਯਕਦਸਤਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤਯਕਪ੍ਯਾਲਹਆਬ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਲਿਆ
She had a cup of water in her hand,
ਬਨਿਜ਼ਦੇਸ਼ਹਿਆਮਦਚੁਪਰਰਾਉਕਾਬ॥੧੨੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਕਾਬ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਡ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ ਪੂਰੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ) ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੧੨੭॥
And glided to approach him (Subhat Singh).(127)
ਬਿਗੋਯਦਕਿਏਸ਼ਾਹਿਆਜ਼ਾਦਮਰਦ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਐ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ!
(She) spoke, ‘Oh, You the strange man of Royalty,,
ਚਿਰਾਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਹਹਸਤੀਤੁਦਰਖ਼ੂਨਗਰਦ॥੧੨੮॥
ਤੂੰ ਲਹੂ ਅਤੇ ਘਟੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਸੁਤਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੨੮॥
‘Why are you lumbering in the blood ridden dust?(128)
ਹੁਮਾਜਾਨਜਾਨੀਤੁਅਮਨੌਜਵਾ॥
ਹੇ ਜਵਾਂ ਮਰਦ! ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹਾਂ
‘I am the same, your life and love, and you at the prime of your youth,
ਬਦੀਦਨਤੁਰਾਆਮਦਮਈਜ਼ਮਾ॥੧੨੯॥
ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਇਥੇ ਆਈ ਹਾਂ ॥੧੨੯॥
‘Currently, I have come to have a glimpse of you.’(129)
ਬਿਗੋਯਦਕਿਏਬਾਨੂਏਨੇਕਬਖ਼ਤ॥
(ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਐ ਨੇਕ ਬਖ਼ਤ!
(He) said, ‘Oh, you the kind hearted,
ਚਿਰਾਤੋਬਿਯਾਮਦਦਰੀਂਜਾਇਸਖ਼ਤ॥੧੩੦॥
ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਈ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩੦॥
‘Why have you come to this place full of afflictions?’(130)
ਅਗਰਮੁਰਦਹਬਾਸ਼ੀਦਿਯਾਰੇਮਲਾਸ॥
(ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਈ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ) ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਲੋਥ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂ
(She,) ‘If you were dead, I would have come to take your body.,
ਵਗ਼ਰਜ਼ਿੰਦਹਹਸਤੀਬਯਜ਼ਦਾਸੁਪਾਸ॥੧੩੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂ ॥੧੩੧॥
‘But, as you are still alive, I would like to thank the Almighty.’(131)
ਅਜ਼ਾਗੁਫ਼ਤਨੀਹਾਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਆਮਦਸੁਖ਼ਨ॥
ਉਸ (ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ) ਦੇ ਬੋਲ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ) ਚੰਗੇ ਲਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਿਆ,
He embraced her with soft-spoken oration,
