ਚੁਕੋਹੇਰਵਾਹਮਚੁਦਰੀਆਇਨੀਲ॥੨੭॥
ਜੋ ਪਹਾੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਲ ਨਦੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਲਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੨੭॥
Which was extremely admired by his confidants.(27)
ਬਗੀਰਦਅਜ਼ੋਅਸਪਪਾਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ) ਪੰਜ ਲੱਖ ਘੋੜੇ ਲੈ ਲਏ
Proceeding as such, a period of twelve years had lapsed.
ਹਮਹਜਰਵਜ਼ੀਨੋਹਮਹਨੁਕਰਹਵਾਰ॥੨੮॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਠੀਆਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੜੀਆਂ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ॥੨੮॥
And undiminishable amount of wealth was amassed.(28)
ਖ਼ਰੀਦੰਦਸੇਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰੋਸ਼ੁਤਰ॥
(ਬਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਤਿੰਨ ਲੱਖ ਊਠ ਖ਼ਰੀਦ ਲਏ
The King was seated on the throne majestically.
ਹਮਹਜ਼ਰਹਬਾਰੋਹਮਹਨੁਕਰਹਪੁਰ॥੨੯॥
ਜੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ (ਸਾਮਾਨ) ਨਾਲ ਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ॥੨੯॥
When he (the Minister) walked in and the King of seven continents asked,(29)
ਵਜ਼ਾਦਾਲਨਉਸ਼ਹਿਰਆਜ਼ਮਬੁਬਸਤ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾਲ (ਦੇ ਦਾਣੇ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ) ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਸਾਇਆ,
‘Bring and present to me the papers,
ਕਿਨਾਮੇਅਜ਼ਾਸ਼ਹਿਰਦਿਹਲੀਸ਼ੁਦਸਤ॥੩੦॥
ਜਿਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਰਖਿਆ ॥੩੦॥
‘Which enumerate what I had endowed to my four sons.‘(30)
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਦਾਨਹਰਾਬਸਤਮੂੰਗੀਪਟਨ॥
ਦੂਜੇ (ਮੂੰਗੀ ਦੇ) ਦਾਣੇ (ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ) ਤੋਂ ਮੂੰਗੀ-ਪਟਨ (ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ) ਵਸਾਇਆ
The recording scribe picked up the pen,
ਚੁਦੋਸਤਾਪਸੰਦਸਤੁਦੁਸ਼ਮਨਫ਼ਿਕਨ॥੩੧॥
ਜੋ ਮਿਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ (ਦੇ ਦਿਲ) ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੧॥
And to reply, (he) raised his flag.(31)
ਬਗੁਜ਼ਰੀਦਦਹਦੋਬਰਈਂਨਮਤਸਾਲ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ
(The Raja asked,) ‘I had bequeathed them thousands (of rupees),
ਬਸੇਗਸ਼ਤਜੋਦਉਲਤੇਬੇਜ਼ਵਾਲ॥੩੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸ (ਇਤਨੀ) ਦੌਲਤ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਮੁਕਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੩੨॥
‘Examine the deed and open your tongue (to speak).(32)
ਚੁਬਿਨਸ਼ਸਤਬਰਤਖ਼ਤਮਾਨੋਮਹੀਪ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਾਨਧਾਤਾ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ,
‘Read from the paper and narrate,
ਬਪੁਰਸ਼ਸਦਰਾਮਦਸਹੇਹਫ਼ਤਦੀਪ॥੩੩॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦੀਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ (ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਪੁਛਿਆ ॥੩੩॥
‘How much I had given to each of them.‘(33)
ਬਿਗੋਯਦਬਪੇਸ਼ੀਨਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਬਿਯਾਰ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਲਿਆਓ
When he (the scribe) heard the command of the King,
ਚਿਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਅਮਮਨਬਪਿਸਰਾਚਹਾਰ॥੩੪॥
ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੪॥
Who had earned the praises and the status same as the gods.(34)
ਦਬੀਰੇਕਲਮਬਰਕਲਮਜਨਗਿਰਿਫ਼ਤ॥
ਕਲਮ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਮੁਨਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ) ਕਲਮ ਪਕੜ ਲਈ
(King stressed,) ‘Present to me, whatever beneficence I had endowed to,
ਜਵਾਬੇਸੁਖ਼ਨਰਾਅਲਮਬਰਗਰਿਫ਼ਤ॥੩੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਝੰਡਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ (ਭਾਵ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ) ॥੩੫॥
‘You, the lights of the world and stars of Yaman.‘(35)
ਬਗੁਫ਼ਤਾਚਿਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਏਸ਼ਾਹਜ਼ਾਰ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਵੇਖੋ
The first son replied, ‘Most of the elephants were killed in the wars,
ਬਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਬੁਬੀਂਤਾਜ਼ੁਬਾਨਸਬਿਯਾਰ॥੩੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਦਸੋ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਚਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੬॥
‘And the ones which were saved, I gave them out in charity like you do.‘(36)
ਬਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਬੁਬੀਂਤਾਬਿਗੋਯਦਜ਼ੁਬਾ॥
ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਦਸੋ
He asked the second son, ‘What have you done with the horses?‘
ਚਿਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਸ਼ੁਦਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਹਰਕਸਅਜ਼ਾ॥੩੭॥
ਕਿ ਹਰ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੭॥
(He replied), ‘I have given out some in charity and rest faced the death.‘(37)
ਚੁਬਿਸ਼ਨੀਦਸੁਖ਼ਨਅਜ਼ਮਹੀਪਾਨਮਾਨ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਨਧਾਤਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣੇ
(He) asked the third one to show him his camels.
ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਹਸਿਫ਼ਤਚੂੰਮਲਾਯਕਮਕਾਨ॥੩੮॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਦਵੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ ॥੩੮॥
‘To whom have you denoted them?‘(38)
ਬਯਾਰੀਮਰਾਪੇਸ਼ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਹਮਨ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਓ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ (ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ) ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ
He replied, ‘A number of them died in the wars,
ਚਰਾਗ਼ੇਜਹਾਆਫ਼ਤਾਬੇਯਮਨ॥੩੯॥
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਦੀਵਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਯਮਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਜੋ! ॥੩੯॥
‘And the remaining I gave in charity.‘(39)
ਬਿਗੋਯਦਕਿਮੁਰਦੰਦਬਾਜੇਮੁਹਿੰਮ॥
(ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਲੜਕੇ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ (ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਈ ਤਾਂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ
Then (he) asked the fourth one, ‘Oh, you the gentle one,‘
ਕਿਮਾਹਮਬਸਾਫ਼ੀਲਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਹਅਮ॥੪੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਚੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ (ਲੋਕਾਂ-ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ। (ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ) ॥੪੦॥
‘You, the one deserving royal canopy and the throne,(40)
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਰਾਬਪੁਰਸ਼ੀਦਅਪਸਚਕਰਦ॥
ਦੂਜੇ (ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਨੂੰ ਪੁਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ?
‘Where is the gift, which I granted you;
ਕਿਬਾਜ਼ੇਬਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦੁਬਾਜ਼ੇਬਿਮੁਰਦ॥੪੧॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ) ਕਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੪੧॥
‘One seed of moong and the half that of gram?‘(41)
ਸਿਅਮਰਾਬਪੁਰਸ਼ੀਦਸ਼ੁਤਰਾਨੁਮਾ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਤੀਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਊਠ (ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾ।
(He replied,) ‘If your command permits, I may present you,
ਕੁਜਾਤੋਬਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਏਜਾਨਮਾ॥੪੨॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ! ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੨॥
‘All the elephants, horses and many a camels.‘(42)
ਬਗੁਫ਼ਤਾਕਿਬਾਜ਼ੇਬਕਾਰਆਮਦੰਦ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਈ (ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿਚ) ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ
He brought forward ten hundred thousand stupefied elephants,
ਬਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰੂੰਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰਆਮਦੰਦ॥੪੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, (ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਕੋਈ ਊਠ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ) ॥੪੩॥
Which were adorned with gold and silver trappings.(43)
ਚੁਅਮਰਾਬਪੁਰਸ਼ੀਦਕਿਏਨੇਕਬਖ਼ਤ॥
ਚੌਥੇ (ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਨੂੰ ਪੁਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ!
He presented ten to twelve thousand horses,
ਸਜ਼ਾਵਾਰਦੇਹੀਮਸਾਯਾਨਤਖ਼ਤ॥੪੪॥
ਹੇ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ (ਪੁੱਤਰ)! ॥੪੪॥
Adorned with numerous gilded saddles.(44)
ਕੁਜਾਗਸ਼ਤਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਤੁਮਾਰਾਫ਼ਹੀਮ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਪੁਛਿਆ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਇਕ ਮੂੰਗੀ ਦਾ ਦਾਣਾ
He brought along steel helmets and armours,
ਯਕੇਦਾਨਹਮੁੰਗੋਦਿਗ਼ਰਨੁਖ਼ਦਨੀਮ॥੪੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਛੋਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਣਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੫॥
And also gilded animal-blankets, arrows, and expensive swords,(45)
ਸ਼ਵਦਗਰਹੁਕਮਤਾਬਿਯਾਰੇਮਪੇਸ਼॥
(ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ) ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂ
The camels from Baghdad, which were laden with ornamented clothes,
ਹਮਹਫ਼ੀਲੁਅਸਪੋਅਜ਼ੋਸ਼ੁਤਰਬੇਸ਼॥੪੬॥
ਜੋ ਹਾਥੀ, ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਊਠ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ) ॥੪੬॥
Plenty of gold, great number of clothes,(46)
ਨਜ਼ਰਕਰਦਫ਼ੀਲੇਦੋਦਹਿਹਜ਼ਾਰਮਸਤ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਸਤ ਹਾਥੀ (ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ) ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ
Ten neelams (precious stones), and many Dinars (coins),
ਪੁਰਅਜ਼ਜ਼ਰਬਾਰੋਹਮਹਨੁਕਰਹਬਸਤ॥੪੭॥
ਜੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ॥੪੭॥
By looking at them even eyes shuddered.(47)
ਹੁਮਾਅਸਪਪਾਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰਆਵਰੀਦ॥
ਉਹ ਪੰਜ ਲੱਖ ਘੋੜੇ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ
Through one seed of moong, he raised a city,
ਹੁਮਾਜ਼ਰਜ਼ੀਨਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰਆਵਰੀਦ॥੪੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਲਿਆਇਆ ॥੪੮॥
Which was given the name of Moongi-patam.(48)
ਹਮਹਖ਼ੋਦਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਾਨਬਰਗਸ਼ਤਵਾ॥
ਉਹ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ ਟੋਪ, ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਕਵਚ,
With the other, half of gram-seed, he raised another one,
ਬਸੇਤੀਰੁਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰਕੀਮਤਗਿਰਾ॥੪੯॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਿਆਇਆ ॥੪੯॥
And associating with his name, it was called Delhi.(49)
ਬਸੇਸ਼ੁਤਰਬਗਦਾਦਜ਼ਰਬਫ਼ਤਬਾਰ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਗਦਾਦੀ ਊਠ, ਸੋਨਾ, ਖ਼ੀਨਖ਼ਾਬ (ਦੇ ਕਪੜੇ)
The King approved this innovation and honoured him,
ਜ਼ਰੋਜਾਮਹਨੀਮਆਸਤੀਂਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ॥੫੦॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਆਸਤੀਨਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ॥੫੦॥
From then on gave him the name as Raja Daleep.(50)
ਕਿਦਹਿਨੀਲੁਦਹਿਪਦਮਦੀਨਾਰਜ਼ਰਦ॥
ਦਸ ਨੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਸ ਪਦਮ ਪੀਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਦੀਨਾਰ (ਮੋਹਰਾਂ) ਸਨ
The omens of royalty, which were depicted in him,
