ਖੇਮਕੁਸਲਸਹਜਆਨੰਦ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਟੱਲ ਸੁਖ, ਸੌਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣਗੇ;
Happiness, intuitive peace, poise and bliss
खेम कुसल सहज आनंद ॥
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਭਜੁਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ॥
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮ-ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ।
in the Company of the Holy, meditate on the Lord of supreme bliss.
साधसंगि भजु परमानंद ॥
ਨਰਕਨਿਵਾਰਿਉਧਾਰਹੁਜੀਉ॥
ਨਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ-
You shall be spared from hell - save your soul!
नरक निवारि उधारहु जीउ ॥
ਗੁਨਗੋਬਿੰਦਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਰਸੁਪੀਉ॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ (ਨਾਮ-) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਪੀ।
Drink in the ambrosial essence of the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
गुन गोबिंद अंम्रित रसु पीउ ॥
ਚਿਤਿਚਿਤਵਹੁਨਾਰਾਇਣਏਕ॥
ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਭੂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਹੁ,
Focus your consciousness on the One, the All-pervading Lord
चिति चितवहु नाराइण एक ॥
ਏਕਰੂਪਜਾਕੇਰੰਗਅਨੇਕ॥
ਜਿਸ ਇੱਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੰਗ ਹਨ।
He has One Form, but He has many manifestations.
एक रूप जा के रंग अनेक ॥
ਗੋਪਾਲਦਾਮੋਦਰਦੀਨਦਇਆਲ॥
ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਮੋਦਰ-
Sustainer of the Universe, Lord of the world, Kind to the poor,
गोपाल दामोदर दीन दइआल ॥
ਦੁਖਭੰਜਨਪੂਰਨਕਿਰਪਾਲ॥
ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਘਰ ਹੈ;
Destroyer of sorrow, perfectly Merciful.
दुख भंजन पूरन किरपाल ॥
ਸਿਮਰਿਸਿਮਰਿਨਾਮੁਬਾਰੰਬਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ।
Meditate, meditate in remembrance on the Naam, again and again.
सिमरि सिमरि नामु बारं बार ॥
ਨਾਨਕਜੀਅਕਾਇਹੈਅਧਾਰ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
O Nanak, it is the Support of the soul. ||2||
