ਉਠੀਝਾਲੂਕੰਤੜੇਹਉਪਸੀਤਉਦੀਦਾਰੁ॥
ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਕੰਤ! ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਠਾਂ ਤੇ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾਂ।
I rise early, O my Husband Lord, to behold Your Vision.
उठी झालू कंतड़े हउ पसी तउ दीदारु ॥
ਕਾਜਲੁਹਾਰੁਤਮੋਲਰਸੁਬਿਨੁਪਸੇਹਭਿਰਸਛਾਰੁ॥੩॥
ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੱਜਲ ਹਾਰ ਪਾਨ ਦਾ ਰਸ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਰਸ ਸੁਆਹ ਸਮਾਨ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
Eye make-up, garlands of flowers, and the flavor of betel leaf, are all nothing but dust, without seeing You. ||3||
