ਸੋਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਨੇਬਰਨੀਮਨਕੀਹਰਨੀਤਿਹਨਾਉਧਰਿਓਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਵਰਣਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ 'ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ' (ਮਨ ਮੋਹਕ) ਰਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,
The poet hath described this scence in a very attractive manner.,
ਗੇਰੂਨਗੰਪਰਕੈਬਰਖਾਧਰਨੀਪਰਿਮਾਨਹੁਰੰਗਢਰਿਓਹੈ॥੧੫੬॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਗੇਰੂ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ (ਨਗ) ਉਤੇ ਵਰਸ਼ਾ (ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਰੰਗ ਡੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੫੬॥
According to him, the colour of the ochre-mountain is melting and falling on earth in the rainy season.156.,
ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤਬਿੰਦੁਸੋਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਸੁਜੁਧਕਰਿਓਰਨਮਧਰੁਹੇਲੀ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨਾਲ ਘੋਰ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜੀ।
Filled with rage, Chandika waged a fierce war with Raktavija in the battlefield.,
ਪੈਦਲਮੈਦਲਮੀਜਦਇਓਤਿਲਤੇਜਿਮੁਤੇਲਨਿਕਾਰਤਤੇਲੀ॥
(ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ) ਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੜ ਕੇ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮਿਧ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਲੀ ਤੇਲ ਕੱਢਦਾ ਹੈ।
She pressed the army of the demons in an instant, just as the oilman presses the oil from the sesame seed.,
ਸ੍ਰੋਉਣਪਰਿਓਧਰਨੀਪਰਚ੍ਵੈਰੰਗਰੇਜਕੀਰੇਨੀਜਿਉਫੂਟਕੈਫੈਲੀ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲਿਲਾਰੀ ('ਰੰਗਰੇਜ਼') ਦੀ ਰੰਗ ਦੀ ਮਟਕੀ ('ਰੇਨੀ') ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਫੈਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
The blood is dripping on the earth just as the dyer’s colour-vessel cracks and the colour spreads.,
ਘਾਉਲਸੈਤਨਦੈਤਕੇਯੌਜਨੁਦੀਪਕਮਧਿਫਨੂਸਕੀਥੈਲੀ॥੧੫੭॥
ਦੈਂਤ (ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ) ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਇੰਜ ਲਿਸ਼ਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਫ਼ਾਨੂਸ (ਝਾੜ) ਦੀ ਥੈਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੫੭॥
The wounds of the demons glitter like the lamps in the containers.157.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਣਤਬਿੰਦਕੋਸ੍ਰਉਣਪਰਿਓਧਰਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਅਨੇਕਭਏਹੈ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ) ਅਨੇਕ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Wherever the blood of Raktavija fell, many Raktavijas rose up there.,
ਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਕੁਵੰਡਿਸੰਭਾਰਿਕੇਬਾਨਨਸਾਥਿਸੰਘਾਰਦਏਹੈ॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
Chandi caught hold of her ferocious bow and killed all of them with her arrows.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਸਮੂਹਸਮਾਇਗਏਬਹੁਰੋਸੁਭਏਹਤਿਫੇਰਿਲਏਹੈ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਸਮੇਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ, (ਤਦੋਂ) ਫਿਰ (ਹੋਰ) ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਫਿਰ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ) ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Through all the new born Raktavijas were killed, still more Raktavijas rose up, Chandi killed all of them.
ਬਾਰਿਦਧਾਰਪਰੈਧਰਨੀਮਾਨੋਬਿੰਬਰਹ੍ਵੈਮਿਟਕੈਜੁਗਏਹੈ॥੧੫੮॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬੁਲਬੁਲੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ, ਮਿਟਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੫੮॥
They all die and are reborn like bubbles produced by rain and then immediately becoming extinct.158.,
ਜੇਤਕਸ੍ਰਉਨਕੀਬੂੰਦਗਿਰੈਰਨਿਤੇਤਕਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਹ੍ਵੈਆਈ॥
ਜਿਤਨੀਆਂ ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਰਕਤਬੀਜ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
As many drops of blood of Raktavija fall on the ground, so many Raktavijas come into being.,
ਮਾਰਹੀਮਾਰਪੁਕਾਰਿਹਕਾਰਕੈਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਿਕੇਸਾਮੁਹਿਧਾਈ॥
(ਦੈਂਤ) ਮਾਰੋ-ਮਾਰੋ ਪੁਕਾਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲਲਕਾਰੇ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਢੁਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
Shouting loudly “kill her, kill her”, those demons run before Chandi.,
ਪੇਖਿਕੈਕੌਤੁਕਤਾਛਿਨਮੈਕਵਿਨੇਮਨਮੈਉਪਮਾਠਹਰਾਈ॥
ਉਸ ਛਿਣ ਦੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਪਮਾ ਸੁਝਦੀ ਹੈ
Seeing this scene at that very moment, the poet imagined this comparison,
ਮਾਨਹੁਸੀਸਮਹਲਕੇਬੀਚਸੁਮੂਰਤਿਏਕਅਨੇਕਕੀਝਾਈ॥੧੫੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਮਹੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਇਕੋ ਮੂਰਤ ਅਨੇਕ ਦਾ ਝਾਉਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੫੯॥
That in the glass-palace only one figure multiplies itself and appears like this.159.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਅਨੇਕਉਠੇਰਨਿਕ੍ਰੁਧਕੈਜੁਧਕੋਫੇਰਜੁਟੈਹੈ॥
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਫਿਰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੱਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Many Raktavijas rise and in fury, wage the war.,
ਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਿਕਮਾਨਤੇਬਾਨਸੁਭਾਨੁਕੀਅੰਸਸਮਾਨਛੁਟੈਹੈ॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ (ਅੰਸ) ਵਾਂਗ ਤੀਰ ਛੁਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
The arrows are shot from the ferocious bow of Chandi like the rays of the sun.,
ਮਾਰਿਬਿਦਾਰਦਏਸੁਭਏਫਿਰਿਲੈਮੁੰਗਰਾਜਿਮੁਧਾਨਕੁਟੈਹੈ॥
(ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ) ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। (ਦੇਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਜ ਕੁਟਦੀ ਹੈ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੋਹਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਧਾਨ ਕੁਟੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Chandi killed and destroyed them, but they rose up again, the goddess continued killing them like the paddy thrashed by the wooden pestle.
ਚੰਡਦਏਸਿਰਖੰਡਜੁਦੇਕਰਿਬਿਲਨਤੇਜਨਬਿਲਤੁਟੈਹੈ॥੧੬੦॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਖੰਡੇ ਨਾਲ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਇੰਜ ਵਖਰੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਬਿਲ-ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਿਲਫਲ ਟੁਟੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੬੦॥
Chandi hath separated their heads with her double-edged sword just as the fruit of marmelos breaks away from the tree.160.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਅਨੇਕਭਏਅਸਿਲੈਕਰਿਚੰਡਿਸੁਐਸੇਉਠੇਹੈ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਅਨੇਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਵਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਠ ਕੇ (ਵਧਦੇ ਹਨ)।
Many Raktavijas rising up, with swords in their hands, moved towards Chandi like this. Such demons rising from the drops of blood in great numbers, shower the arrows like rain.,
ਬੂੰਦਨਤੇਉਠਿਕੈਬਹੁਦਾਨਵਬਾਨਨਬਾਰਿਦਜਾਨੁਵੁਠੇਹੈ॥
ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇੰਜ) ਤੀਰ (ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ਮਾਨੋ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਝੜੀ ਲਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ।
Such demons rising from the drops of blood in great numbers, shower the arrows like rain.,
ਫੇਰਿਕੁਵੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਿਸੰਭਾਰਕੈਬਾਨਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਸੰਘਾਰਸੁਟੇਹੈ॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ (ਚੰਡੀ) ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
Chandi again took her ferocious bow in her hand shooting volley of arrows killed all of them.,
ਐਸੇਉਠੇਫਿਰਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਤੇਦੈਤਸੁਮਾਨਹੁਸੀਤਤੇਰੋਮਉਠੇਹੈ॥੧੬੧॥
(ਪਰ) ਫਿਰ ਲਹੂ ਤੋਂ ਦੈਂਤ ਇੰਜ ਉਠ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਠੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਮ ਖੜੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੬੧॥
The demons rise from the blood like the hair rising in cold season.161.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਭਏਇਕਠੇਬਰਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਕੇਘੇਰਿਲਇਓਹੈ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Many Raktavijas have gathered together and with force and swiftness, they have besieged Chandi.,
ਚੰਡਿਅਉਸਿੰਘਦੁਹੂੰਮਿਲਕੈਸਬਦੈਤਨਕੋਦਲਮਾਰਦਇਓਹੈ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Both the goddess and the lion together have killed all these forces of demons.,
ਫੇਰਿਉਠੇਧੁਨਿਕੇਕਰਿਕੈਸੁਨਿਕੈਮੁਨਿਕੋਛੁਟਿਧਿਆਨੁਗਇਓਹੈ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਫਿਰ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਧੁਨ ਕੀਤੀ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਛੁਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The demons rose up again and produced such a loud voice which broke the contemplation of the sages.,
ਭੂਲਗਏਸੁਰਕੇਅਸਵਾਨਗੁਮਾਨਨਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਗਇਓਹੈ॥੧੬੨॥
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਸ਼ ਗੁੰਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਦਾ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੨॥
All the efforts of goddess were lost, but the pride of Raktavija was not decreased.162.,

In this way, Chandika foutht with raktavija,
ਅਗਨਤਭਏਦਾਨਵਤਬੈਕਛੁਨਬਸਾਇਓਕ੍ਰੁਧ॥੧੬੩॥
ਪਰ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਦੈਂਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ (ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਸ ਨਾ ਚਲਿਆ ॥੧੬੩॥
The demons became innumerable and the ire of the goddess was fruitless. 163.,

ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤਣ ਲਈਆਂ।
The eyes of powerful Chandi became red with rage on seeing many demons on all the ten directions.,
ਤਬਲੈਕੇਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਜੁਕਾਟਦਏਅਰਿਫੂਲਗੁਲਾਬਕੀਜਿਉਪਖੀਆ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਖੜੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
She chopped with her sword all the enemies like the petals of roses.,
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਕੀਛੀਟਪਰੀਤਨਚੰਡਿਕੇਸੋਉਪਮਾਕਵਿਨੇਲਖੀਆ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ (ਇਕ) ਛਿਟ ਆ ਪਈ, ਉਸ (ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਦੀ) ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਝੀ
One drop of blood fell on the body of the goddess, the poet hath imagined its comparison in this way,
ਜਨੁਕੰਚਨਮੰਦਿਰਮੈਜਰੀਆਜਰਿਲਾਲਮਨੀਜੁਬਨਾਰਖੀਆ॥੧੬੪॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ('ਮੰਦਿਰ') ਵਿਚ ਜੜੀਏ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ('ਜਰਿ') ਵਿਚ ਲਾਲ ਮਣੀ ਫਬਾ ਕੇ ਰਖੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੬੪॥
In the temple of gold, the jeweler has got studded the red jewel in decoration.164.,
ਕ੍ਰੁਧਕੈਜੁਧਕਰਿਓਬਹੁਚੰਡਿਨੇਏਤੋਕਰਿਓਮਧੁਸੋਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ (ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਮਧੂ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਨਾਲ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ (ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ)।
With anger, Chandi fought a longg war, the like of which had earlier been foutht by Vishnu with the demons Madhu.,
ਦੈਤਨਕੇਬਧਕਾਰਨਕੋਨਿਜਭਾਲਤੇਜੁਆਲਕੀਲਾਟਨਿਕਾਸੀ॥
ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ (ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ (ਇਕ) ਲਾਟ ਕਢ ਲਈ।
In order to destroy the demons, the goddess hath drawn forth the flame of fire from her forehead.,
ਕਾਲੀਪ੍ਰਤਛਭਈਤਿਹਤੇਰਨਿਫੈਲਰਹੀਭਯਭੀਰੁਪ੍ਰਭਾਸੀ॥
ਉਸ (ਲਾਟ) ਤੋਂ ਕਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਈ (ਜੋ) ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਰਪੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੈ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਪਸਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ। (ਅਥਵਾ ਕਾਲੀ ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਈ)
From that flame, kali manifested herself and her glory spread like fear amongst cowards.,
ਮਾਨਹੁਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਸੁਮੇਰਕੋਫੋਰਿਕੈਧਾਰਪਰੀਧਰਿਪੈਜਮੁਨਾਸੀ॥੧੬੫॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਪਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੬੫॥
It seemed that breaking the peak of Sumeru, the of Yamuna hath fallen down .165.,
ਮੇਰੁਹਲਿਓਦਹਲਿਓਸੁਰਲੋਕੁਦਸੋਦਿਸਭੂਧਰਭਾਜਤਭਾਰੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਹਿਲ ਗਿਆ, ਦੇਵ-ਨਗਰੀ ਸਹਿਮ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਡੇ-ਵਡੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਭਜਣ ਲਗ ਪਏ।
The Sumeru shook and the heaven was terrified and the big mountains began to move speedily in all the ten directions.,
ਚਾਲਿਪਰਿਓਤਿਹਚਉਦਹਿਲੋਕਮੈਬ੍ਰਹਮਭਇਓਮਨਮੈਭ੍ਰਮਭਾਰੀ॥
ਚੌਦਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਲ-ਚਲ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਭਰਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
In all the fourteen worlds there was great commotion and a great illusion was created in the mind of Brahma.,
ਧਿਆਨਰਹਿਓਨਜਟੀਸੁਫਟੀਧਰਿਯੌਬਲਿਕੈਰਨਮੈਕਿਲਕਾਰੀ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ('ਜਟੀ') ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਵੀ ਲਗਿਆ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਫਟ ਗਈ (ਜਦੋਂ) ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ (ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ) ਕਿਲਕਾਰੀ ਮਾਰੀ।
The meditative state of Shiva was broken and the earth burst when with great force Kali shouted loudly.,
ਦੈਤਨਕੇਬਧਿਕਾਰਨਕੋਕਰਿਕਾਲਸੀਕਾਲੀਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਸੰਭਾਰੀ॥੧੬੬॥
ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ-ਸਮਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੬੬॥
In order to kill the demons, Kali hath taken the deathlike sword in her hand.166.,

ਚੰਡੀਕਾਲੀਦੁਹੂੰਮਿਲਿਕੀਨੋਇਹੈਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਕਿ
Chandi and Kali both together took this decision,
ਹਉਹਨਿਹੋਤੂਸ੍ਰਉਨਪੀਅਰਿਦਲਿਡਾਰਹਿਮਾਰਿ॥੧੬੭॥
ਮੈਂ (ਚੰਡੀ) ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ (ਕਾਲੀ) ਲਹੂ ਪੀਂਦੀ ਜਾ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ) ਵੈਰੀ ਦਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ ॥੧੬੭॥
“I shall kill the demons and thou drinkest their blood, in this way we shall kill all the enemies.”167.

ਕਾਲੀਅਉਕੇਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਲੈਚੰਡਿਸੁਘੇਰੇਸਬੈਬਨਜੈਸੇਦਵਾਪੈ॥
ਕਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ (ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਬਨ ਨੂੰ) ਦਾਵਾ ਅਗਨੀ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Taking Kali and the lion with her, Chandi besieged all the Raktavijas like the forest by the fire.,
ਚੰਡਿਕੇਬਾਨਨਤੇਜਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਤੇਦੈਤਜਰੈਜੈਸੇਈਟਅਵਾਪੈ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੈਂਤ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸੜ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਟਾਂ ਆਵੇ ਵਿਚ (ਸੜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ)।
With the power of the arrows of Chandi, the demons were burnt like bricks in the kiln.,
