ਚੇਤਰੇਚੇਤਅਚੇਤਮਹਾਜੜਭੇਖਕੇਕੀਨੇਅਲੇਖਨਪੈਹੈ॥੧੯॥
ਹੇ ਮਹਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸਮਝ! (ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ) ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਲੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਭੇਖ ਦੇ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਅਲੇਖ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ ॥੧੯॥
therefore O foolish creature! you away become careful even now, because by wearing a garb only, you will not be able to realise that Accountless Lord.19.
ਕਾਹੇਕਉਪੂਜਤਪਾਹਨਕਉਕਛੁਪਾਹਨਮੈਪਰਮੇਸਰਨਾਹੀ॥
ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ? (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ (ਆਦਿ) ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
Why do you worship stones?, because the Lord-God is not within those stones;
ਤਾਹੀਕੋਪੂਜਪ੍ਰਭੂਕਰਿਕੇਜਿਹਪੂਜਤਹੀਅਘਓਘਮਿਟਾਹੀ॥
ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
you may only worship Him, whose adoration destroys clusters of sins;
ਆਧਿਬਿਆਧਿਕੇਬੰਧਨਜੇਤਕਨਾਮਕੇਲੇਤਸਬੈਛੁਟਿਜਾਹੀ॥
ਆਧਿ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਆਧਿ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਬੰਧਨ ਹਨ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਨਾਮ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
With the remembrance on the Name of the Lord, the ties of all suffering are removed;
ਤਾਹੀਕੋਧਯਾਨੁਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਸਦਾਇਨਫੋਕਟਧਰਮਕਰੇਫਲੁਨਾਹੀ॥੨੦॥
ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਦੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ (ਕੋਈ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ॥੨੦॥
ever mediate on that Lord because the hollow religious will not bear any fruit.20.
ਫੋਕਟਧਰਮਭਯੋਫਲਹੀਨਜੁਪੂਜਸਿਲਾਜੁਗਿਕੋਟਿਗਵਾਈ॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਯੁਗ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਫੋਕਟ ਧਰਮ ਫਲੁਹੀਨ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
The hollow religion became fruitless and O being! you have lost crores of years by worshipping the stones;
ਸਿਧਿਕਹਾਸਿਲਕੇਪਰਸੈਬਲੁਬ੍ਰਿਧਘਟੀਨਵਨਿਧਿਨਪਾਈ॥
ਸਿਲਾ (ਮੂਰਤੀ) ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ (ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ) (ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ) ਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਵ੍ਰਿਧੀ ਘਟੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਂ ਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
you will not get power with the worship of stones; the strength and glory will only decrease;
ਆਜਹੀਆਜੁਸਮੋਜੁਬਿਤਯੋਨਹਿਕਾਜਿਸਰਯੋਕਛੁਲਾਜਿਨਆਈ॥
ਅਜ ਹੀ ਅਜ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਸੰਵਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਲੱਜਾ ਆਈ ਹੈ।
In this way, the time was lost uselessly and nothing was achieved and you were not ashamed;
ਸ੍ਰੀਭਗਵੰਤਭਜਯੋਨਅਰੇਜੜਐਸੇਹੀਐਸੇਸੁਬੈਸਗਵਾਈ॥੨੧॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! (ਤੂੰ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ (ਸਾਰੀ) ਉਮਰ ਗੰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੧॥
O foolish intellect! you have not remembered the Lord and have wasted your life in vain.21.
ਜੌਜੁਗਤੇਕਰਹੈਤਪਸਾਕੁਛਤੋਹਿਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੁਨਪਾਹਨਕੈਹੈ॥
ਜੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਯੁਗਾਂ ਤਕ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇਂ, (ਪਰ) ਤੈਨੂੰ (ਇਹ) ਪੱਥਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
You may even perform the austerities for an age, but these stones will not fulfill your wishes and please you;
ਹਾਥਿਉਠਾਇਭਲੀਬਿਧਿਸੋਜੜਤੋਹਿਕਛੂਬਰਦਾਨੁਨਦੈਹੈ॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੱਥ ਉਠਾ ਕੇ (ਉਹ ਪੱਥਰ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
they will not raise their hands and grant you the boon;
ਕਉਨਭਰੋਸੋਭਯਾਇਹਕੋਕਹੁਭੀਰਪਰੀਨਹਿਆਨਿਬਚੈਹੈ॥
ਦਸ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਭੀੜ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਉਣਗੇ।
They can't be trusted, because in the time of any difficulty, they will not reach and save you,
ਜਾਨੁਰੇਜਾਨੁਅਜਾਨਹਠੀਇਹਫੋਕਟਧਰਮਸੁਭਰਮਗਵੈਹੈ॥੨੨॥
ਹੇ ਬੇਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਹਠੀਲੇ! ਸੰਭਲ ਜਾ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੋਕਟ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਮ ਵਿਚ (ਤੂੰ) ਗਵਾਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨੨॥
therefore, O ignorant and persistent being! you may become careful, these hollow religious rituals will destroy your honour.22.
ਜਾਲਬਧੇਸਬਹੀਮ੍ਰਿਤਕੇਕੋਊਰਾਮਰਸੂਲਨਬਾਚਨਪਾਏ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੂਲ ਵੀ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
All the beings are entrapped in the nose of death and no Ram or Rasul (Prophet) could not escape form it;
ਦਾਨਵਦੇਵਫਨਿੰਦਧਰਾਧਰਭੂਤਭਵਿਖਉਪਾਇਮਿਟਾਏ॥
ਦੈਂਤ, ਦੇਵ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ, ਧਰਾਧਰ (ਪਰਬਤ) ਭੂਤ ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿਸ਼ਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
that Lord created demos, gods and all other beings living on the earth and also destroyed them;
ਅੰਤਮਰੇਪਛੁਤਾਇਪ੍ਰਿਥੀਪਰਿਜੇਜਗਮੈਅਵਤਾਰਕਹਾਏ॥
ਜੋ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਛਤਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਉਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Those who are known as incarnations in the world, they also ultimately repented and passed away;
ਰੇਮਨਲੈਲਇਕੇਲਹੀਕਾਲਕੇਲਾਗਤਕਾਹਿਨਪਾਇਨਧਾਏ॥੨੩॥
ਹੇ ਮੰਦ ਭਾਗੇ ਮਨ (ਤੂੰ) ਭਜ ਕੇ ਇਕਲੇ ਕਾਲ (ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ) ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥੨੩॥
therefore, O my mind! why do you not run catch the feet of that Supreme KAL i.e. the Lord.23.
ਕਾਲਹੀਪਾਇਭਇਓਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਗਹਿਦੰਡਕਮੰਡਲਭੂਮਿਭ੍ਰਮਾਨਯੋ॥
ਕਾਲ (ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਡੰਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਮੰਡਲ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Brahma came into being under the control of KAL (death) and taking his staff and pot his hand, he wandered on the earth;
ਕਾਲਹੀਪਾਇਸਦਾਸਿਵਜੂਸਭਦੇਸਬਦੇਸਭਇਆਹਮਜਾਨਯੋ॥
ਕਾਲ (ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਬਿਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ) ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
Shiva was also under the control of KAL and wandered in various countries far and near;
ਕਾਲਹੀਪਾਇਭਯੋਮਿਟਗਯੋਜਗਯਾਹੀਤੇਤਾਹਿਸਭੋਪਹਿਚਾਨਯੋ॥
ਕਾਲ (ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਟਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਬਾਰੇ (ਰੂਪ) ਪਛਾਣੇ ਹਨ।
The world under the control of KAL was also destroyed, therefore, all are aware of that KAL; therefore, all are aware of that KAL;
ਬੇਦਕਤੇਬਕੇਭੇਦਸਬੈਤਜਿਕੇਵਲਕਾਲਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਿਧਿਮਾਨਯੋ॥੨੪॥
ਵੇਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਤੇਬਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਸੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੇਦਾਂ (ਫਰਕਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਕਾਲ (ਪਰਮ-ਸੱਤਾ) ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੪॥
therefore, abandoning the differentiation of Vedas and Katebs, accept only KAL as the Lord, the ocean of Grace.24.
ਕਾਲਗਯੋਇਨਕਾਮਨਸਿਉਜੜਕਾਲਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਹੀਐਨਚਿਤਾਰਯੋ॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੂ ਕਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ (ਕਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
O fool! You have wasted your time in various desires and did not remember in your heart that most Gracious KAL or Lord;
ਲਾਜਕੋਛਾਡਿਨ੍ਰਿਲਾਜਅਰੇਤਜਿਕਾਜਿਅਕਾਜਕੇਕਾਜਸਵਾਰਯੋ॥
ਹੇ (ਮੂਰਖ!) ਲਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਲਜ (ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ) ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਸੰਵਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
O shameless! abandon your false shame, because that Lord has amended the works of all, forsaking the thought of good and bad;
ਬਾਜਬਨੇਗਜਰਾਜਬਡੇਖਰਕੋਚੜਿਬੋਚਿਤਬੀਚਬਿਚਾਰਯੋ॥
(ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਈ ਕਿ) ਵੱਡੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ-ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਖੋਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
O fool! why are you thinking of riding on the ass of maya instead of riding on elephants and horses?
