ਅਤਿਗਿਆਨਵੰਤਕਰਮਨਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ॥
ਅਤਿ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਆਸਗਾਤਹਰਿਕੋਅਧੀਨ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ।
He was extremely learned, expert in actions, beyond the desires and obedient to the Lord
ਛਬਿਦਿਪਤਕੋਟਸੂਰਜਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ॥
ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਚਕਰਹਾਚੰਦਲਖਿਆਸਮਾਨ॥੬੦॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦॥
His elegance was like the crores of suns and the moon was also wonder-struck on seeing him.60.
ਉਪਜਿਯਾਆਪਇਕਜੋਗਰੂਪ॥
(ਉਹ) ਆਪ ਹੀ 'ਇਕ' ਯੋਗ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਨਿਲਗੋਜੋਗਸਾਧਨਅਨੂਪ॥
ਫਿਰ ਅਨੂਪਮ ਯੋਗ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ।
He had manifested as the apparent form of yoga and then had been absorbed in the practice of Yoga
ਗ੍ਰਿਹਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਛਾਡਿਉਠਿਚਲਾਦਤ॥
ਦੱਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਉਠ ਚਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਮੰਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਨਿਰਮਲੀਮਤਿ॥੬੧॥
(ਉਹ) ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੧॥
That immaculate Dutt of pure intellect did the first thing of leaving his home.61.
ਜਬਕੀਨਜੋਗਬਹੁਦਿਨਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ॥
ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹਤੁ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤਕ ਯੋਗ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ,
ਤਬਕਾਲਦੇਵਰੀਝੇਨਿਦਾਨ॥
ਤਦ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਦੇਵ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ।
When he practiced Yoga for a long time, Kaldev (the Lord) was pleased with him
ਇਮਿਭਈਬਿਓਮਬਾਨੀਬਨਾਇ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੋਈ,
ਤੁਮਸੁਣਹੁਬੈਨਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਰਾਇ॥੬੨॥
ਹੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਰਾਜ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਣੋ ॥੬੨॥
At that time, there was a heavenly voice “O king of Yogis! Listen to what I say.”62.
ਆਕਾਸਬਾਨੀਬਾਚਿਦਤਪ੍ਰਤਿ॥
ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਿਹਾ -

ਪਾਧੜੀ ਛੰਦ:
PAADHARI STANZA
ਗੁਰਹੀਣਮੁਕਤਿਨਹੀਹੋਤਦਤ॥
ਹੇ ਦੱਤ! ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਣ (ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ) ਮੁਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏਗੀ।
ਤੁਹਿਕਹੋਬਾਤਸੁਨਿਬਿਮਲਮਤ॥
ਹੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, (ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਣ।
“O Dutt! Listen to me with pure intellect
ਗੁਰਕਰਹਿਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਤਬਹੋਗਿਮੁਕਤਿ॥
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ, ਤਦ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।
ਕਹਿਦੀਨਕਾਲਤਿਹਜੋਗਜੁਗਤ॥੬੩॥
ਕਾਲਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਇਹ) ਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੬੩॥
I say unto you that there can be no salvation without the Guru first of all, adopt a Guru, then you will be redeemed, in this way, KAL told the method of Yoga to Dutt.63.
ਬਹੁਭਾਤਿਦਤਦੰਡਵਤਕੀਨ॥
(ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਦੱਤ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੰਡਵਤ (ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ) ਕੀਤਾ
ਆਸਾਬਿਰਹਤਿਹਰਿਕੋਅਧੀਨ॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ (ਹੋ ਗਿਆ)।
Obedient to the Lord and abiding beyond the desires, Dutt prostrated before the Lord in various ways
ਬਹੁਭਾਤਜੋਗਸਾਧਨਾਸਾਧਿ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗਾ
ਆਦਗਜੋਗਮਹਿਮਾਅਗਾਧ॥੬੪॥
(ਜੋ) ਯੋਗ ਕਲੰਕ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਅਗਾਧ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੪॥
He practiced Yoga in different ways and spread the exaltation of Yoga.64.
ਤਬਨਮਸਕਾਰਕਰਿਦਤਦੇਵ॥
ਤਦ ਦੱਤ ਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ
ਉਚਰੰਤਪਰਮਉਸਤਤਿਅਭੇਵ॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਪਰਮ ਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਅਭੇਵ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਉਚਾਰੀ।
Then Dutt, bowing before the Lord, eulogized the Unmanifested Brahman who is the Sovereign of Sovereigns,
ਜੋਗੀਨਜੋਗਰਾਜਾਨਰਾਜ॥
(ਜੋ) ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ
ਅਨਭੂਤਅੰਗਜਹਤਹਬਿਰਾਜ॥੬੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਤੱਤ੍ਵਰਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਬਿਰਾਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੫॥
The supreme Yogi and with unique limbs pervades everywhere.65
ਜਲਥਲਬਿਯਾਪਜਿਹਤੇਜਏਕ॥
ਜਿਸ ਇਕ ਦਾ ਤੇਜ ਜਲ ਥਲ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਗਾਵੰਤਜਾਸੁਮੁਨਿਗਨਅਨੇਕ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ (ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮੁਨੀ ਲੋਗ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The splendour of that Lord Pervades in after an on plain and many sages sing His Praises
ਜਿਹਨੇਤਿਨੇਤਿਭਾਖੰਤਨਿਗਮ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਦ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੇਆਦਿਅੰਤਮਧਹਅਗਮ॥੬੬॥
ਉਹ ਆਦਿ, ਮੱਧ, ਅੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ ॥੬੬॥
He, whom the Vedas etc. call “Neti, neti” (not this, not this), that Lord is eternal and Pervades in beginning, in the middle and at the end.66.
ਜਿਹਏਕਰੂਪਕਿਨੇਅਨੇਕ॥
ਜਿਸ ਇਕ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੁਹਮੀਅਕਾਸਕਿਨੇਬਿਬੇਕ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਵਿਵੇਕ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ।
He who created many beings from one and with His Power of wisdom, created the earth and the sky
ਜਲਬਾਥਲੇਸਸਬਠੌਰਜਾਨ॥
ਜੋ ਜਲ, ਥਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਭੈਅਜੋਨਿਅਨਿਆਸਮਾਨ॥੬੭॥
ਜੋ ਭੈ ਰਹਿਤ, ਜੂਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੭॥
That fearless, birthless and beyond desires is there at all the places in water and on plain.67.
ਪਾਵਨਪ੍ਰਸਿਧਪਰਮੰਪੁਨੀਤ॥
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ, ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹੈ।
ਆਜਾਨਬਾਹਅਨਭਉਅਜੀਤ॥
(ਉਹ) ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਤਕ ਲੰਬੀਆਂ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ, ਭੈ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਜਿਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
He is supremely immaculate, sacred, pure, long-armed, fearless and unconquerable
ਪਰਮੰਪ੍ਰਸਿਧਪੂਰਣਪੁਰਾਣ॥
(ਉਹ) ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਾਣ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਹੈ।
ਰਾਜਾਨਰਾਜਭੋਗੀਮਹਾਣ॥੬੮॥
(ਉਹ) ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਭੋਗੀ ਹੈ ॥੬੮॥
He is the supremely eminent Purusha, the Sovereign of Sovereign and the great enjoyer.68.
ਅਨਛਿਜਤੇਜਅਨਭੈਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ॥
(ਉਹ) ਨਾ ਛਿਜੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਤਹ ਸਿੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਖੜਗਨਸਪੰਨਪਰਮੰਪ੍ਰਭਾਸ॥
(ਉਹ) ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ (ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਣ ਵਿਚ) ਮਾਹਿਰ ਹੈ (ਅਰਥਾਂਤਰ-ਛੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ) ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਜਲਾਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
That Lord has indestructible Lustre, Light-incarnation, Dagger-wielder and is eminent glorious
ਆਭਾਅਨੰਤਬਰਨੀਨਜਾਇ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਆਭਾ ਅਨੰਤ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਵਰਣਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ।
ਫਿਰਫਿਰੇਸਰਬਮਤਿਕੋਚਲਾਇ॥੬੯॥
ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਮੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੯॥
His infinite glory is indescribable He Pervades in all the religions.69.
ਸਬਹੂਬਖਾਨਜਿਹਨੇਤਿਨੇਤਿ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅਕਲੰਕਰੂਪਆਭਾਅਮੇਤ॥
(ਉਹ) ਅਮਿਤ ਆਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਕਲੰਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ।
Whom all call “Neti, neti” (not this, not this), the powers of all kinds abide at the feet of that Blemishless and Beauty-incarnate Lord
ਸਰਬੰਸਮ੍ਰਿਧਜਿਹਪਾਨਲਾਗ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਮ੍ਰਿਧੀਆਂ ਲਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਜਿਹਨਾਮਲੇਤਸਬਪਾਪਭਾਗ॥੭੦॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੭੦॥
And all the sins fly away with the remembrance of His Name.70.
ਗੁਨਸੀਲਸਾਧੁਤਾਕੇਸੁਭਾਇ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾ ਗੁਣ, ਸੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧੁਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਨੁਤਾਸਸਰਨਿਨਹੀਕੋਊਉਪਾਇ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
He has the temperament, qualities and gentleness like the saints and there is no other measure of achieving salvation without going under His shelter
