ਕਉਨਕਉਨਉਚਾਰੀਐਕਰਿਸੂਰਸਰਬਬਿਬੇਕ॥੫੪॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਏ ॥੫੪॥
Many of various names ruled over many places and with power of intellect, whose names should be mentioned, with their description? 54.
ਸਪਤਦੀਪਨਸਪਤਭੂਪਭੁਗੈਲਗੇਨਵਖੰਡ॥
ਸੱਤਾ ਦੀਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੌਂ ਖੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਗਣ ਲਗੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ)।
ਭਾਤਿਭਾਤਿਨਸੋਫਿਰੇਅਸਿਬਾਧਿਜੋਧਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਯੋਧੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਇਧਰ ਉਧਰ) ਫਿਰਨ ਲਗੇ।
The king ruled over seven continents and nine regions and taking up their swords, in various ways, they moved at all places powerfully
ਦੀਹਦੀਹਅਜੀਹਦੇਸਨਿਨਾਮਆਪਿਭਨਾਇ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਨਾ ਜਿਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਆਪ ਸੁਣਾਉਣ ਲਗੇ।
ਆਨਿਜਾਨੁਦੁਤੀਭਏਛਿਤਿਦੂਸਰੇਹਰਿਰਾਇ॥੫੫॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਇੰਦਰ (ਹਰਿ) ਰਾਜਾ ਉਪਸਥਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੫੫॥
They forcefully promulgated their names and it seemed that they were the incarnation of the Lord on the earth.55.
ਆਪਆਪਸਮੈਸਬੈਸਿਰਿਅਤ੍ਰਪਤ੍ਰਫਿਰਾਇ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜੀਤਿਜੀਤਿਅਜੀਤਜੋਧਨਰੋਹਕ੍ਰੋਹਕਮਾਇ॥
ਰੋਹ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਤ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ (ਅਧੀਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ)।
They continued to conquer furiously the invincible warriors, swinging the canopies over the heads of one another
ਝੂਠਸਾਚਅਨੰਤਬੋਲਿਕਲੋਲਕੇਲਅਨੇਕ॥
ਅਨੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਝੂਠ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੌਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾਵਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
ਅੰਤਿਕਾਲਸਬੈਭਛੇਜਗਿਛਾਡੀਆਨਹਿਏਕ॥੫੬॥
ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਡਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੫੬॥
Garrying on behavior conquer furiously the invincible warriors, Swinging the canopies over the ultimately became the food of KAL ( death).56.
ਆਪਅਰਥਅਨਰਥਅਪਰਥਸਮਰਥਕਰਤਅਨੰਤ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਰਥ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਥ ਲੋਕ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਨਰਥ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਅੰਤਿਹੋਤਠਟੀਕਛੂਪ੍ਰਭੂਕੋਟਿਕ੍ਯੋਨਨਕਰੰਤ॥
ਅੰਤ ਤੇ (ਉਹੀ) ਕੁਝ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ (ਉਪਾ) ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ।
The powerful people perform many sinful action and unjust deeds, for their interest, but ultimately they have to appear before the Lord
ਜਾਨਬੂਝਪਰੰਤਕੂਪਲਹੰਤਮੂੜਨਭੇਵ॥
ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕਤਾ ਦਾ) ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਬੁਝ ਕੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The being deliberately falls into the well and dose not know the secret of the Lord
ਅੰਤਿਕਾਲਤਬੈਬਚੈਜਬਜਾਨਹੈਗੁਰਦੇਵ॥੫੭॥
ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਬਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ ਜਦ ਗੁਰੂਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ॥੫੭॥
He will only save himself from death, when he will comprehend that Guru-Lord.57.
ਅੰਤਿਹੋਤਠਟੀਭਲੀਪ੍ਰਭਮੂੜਲੋਗਨਜਾਨਿ॥
ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
The fools do not know that ultimately we feet shy before the Lord
ਆਪਅਰਥਪਛਾਨਹੀਤਜਿਦੀਹਦੇਵਨਿਧਾਨ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕ) ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਛਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
These fools forsaking their supreme father, the Lord, only recognize their own interest
ਧਰਮਜਾਨਿਕਰਤਪਾਪਨਯੌਨਜਾਨਤਮੂੜ॥
ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ (ਪਾਖੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਧਰਮ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਰਬਕਾਲਦਇਆਲਕੋਕਹੁਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਗੂੜਅਗੂੜ॥੫੮॥
ਉਸ ਦਿਆਲੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਧ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੮॥
They commit sins in the name of religion and they do not know even this much that this is the profound myself of the compassionate of the Name of the Lord.58
ਪਾਪਪੁੰਨਪਛਾਨਹੀਕਰਿਪੁੰਨਕੀਸਮਪਾਪ॥
(ਉਹ) ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਪੁੰਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਰਮਜਾਨਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਜਾਪਨਜਪੈਲਾਗਕੁਜਾਪ॥
(ਉਹ) ਕੁਜਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਪ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ।
They are ever absorbed in evil action considering sin as virtue and virtue as sin, the holy as unholy and without knowing the remembrance of the Name of the Lord:
ਸਿਧਠਉਰਨਮਾਨਹੀਬਿਨੁਸਿਧਠਉਰਪੂਜੰਤ॥
ਸਿੱਧ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
The being does not believe in the good place and worship bad place
ਹਾਥਿਦੀਪਕੁਲੈਮਹਾਪਸੁਮਧਿਕੂਪਪਰੰਤ॥੫੯॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਪਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫੯॥
In such a position he falls in the well, even having the lamp in his hand.59.
ਸਿਧਠਉਰਨਮਾਨਹੀਅਨਸਿਧਪੂਜਤਠਉਰ॥
ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ('ਸਿਧ') ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਥਾਪਿਤ ('ਅਨਸਿਧ') ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Having on belief in holy places, he worship the unholy ones
ਕੈਕੁਦਿਵਸਚਲਾਹਿਗੇਜੜਭੀਤਕੀਸੀਦਉਰ॥
(ਉਹ) ਮੂਰਖ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤਕ ਕੰਧ ਉਤੇ ਦੌੜਨ ਵਾਂਗ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਣਗੇ।
But for now many days he will be able to run such a cowardly race ?
ਪੰਖਹੀਨਕਹਾਉਡਾਇਬਨੈਨਹੀਨਨਿਹਾਰ॥
ਖੰਭਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਪੰਛੀ) ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਡੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ (ਕਿਵੇਂ) ਵੇਖੇਗਾ।
Hoe can one fly without the wings? And how can one see without the eyes? How can one go to the battlefield without weapons
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਹੀਨਜੁਧਾਨਪੈਠਬਅਰਥਹੀਨਬਿਚਾਰ॥੬੦॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਣਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਥ (ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ) ਹੀਣਾ (ਕਿਵੇਂ) ਵਿਚਾਰ (ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ) ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੬੦॥
And without understaning the meaning how can one understand any problem?.60.
ਦਰਬਹੀਣਬਪਾਰਜੈਸਕਅਰਥਬਿਨੁਇਸਲੋਕ॥
ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦਰਬ (ਧਨ) ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝੇ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਧਨ ('ਅਰਥ') ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਆਂਖਹੀਣਬਿਲੋਕਬੋਜਗਿਕਾਮਕੇਲਅਕੋਕ॥
ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ (ਵਿਅਕਤੀ) ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਣ ਸਕਦਾ।
How can one indulge in trade without wealth? How can one visualise the lustful actions without eyes?
ਗਿਆਨਹੀਣਸੁਪਾਠਗੀਤਾਬੁਧਿਹੀਣਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਗਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀਣਾ ਗੀਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹਿੰਮਤਹੀਨਜੁਧਾਨਜੂਝਬਕੇਲਹੀਣਕੁਮਾਰ॥੬੧॥
ਹਿੰਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਯੋਧਾ ਲੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ (ਸ਼ੋਭਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ) ॥੬੧॥
How can one recite Gita without knowledge and reflect upon it without intellect? How can one go to the battlefield without counrage.61
ਕਉਨਕਉਨਗਨਾਈਐਜੇਭਏਭੂਮਿਮਹੀਪ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਸ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣੀਏ।
ਕਉਨਕਉਨਸੁਕਥੀਐਜਗਿਕੇਸੁਦ੍ਵੀਪਅਦ੍ਵੀਪ॥
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਦੀਪਾਂ (ਦੇ ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ ਕਰੀਏ।
How many kings were there? To want extent they be enumerated, and how far should the continents and regions of the world be described?
ਜਾਸੁਕੀਨਗਨੈਵਹੈਇਮਿਔਰਕੀਨਹਿਸਕਤਿ॥
ਜਿਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਯੌਨਐਸਪਹਚਾਨੀਐਬਿਨੁਤਾਸੁਕੀਕੀਏਭਗਤਿ॥੬੨॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਵੇਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੬੨॥
I have enumerated, only those which have come within my sight, I am unable to enumerate more and the this is also not possible without His devotion.62.
ਇਤਿਰਾਜਾਭਰਥਰਾਜਸਮਾਪਤੰ॥੩॥੫॥
ਇਥੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਭਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ।

ਹੁਣ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਗਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ:

ਸ੍ਰੇਸਟਸ੍ਰੇਸਟਭਏਜਿਤੇਇਹਭੂਮਿਆਨਿਨਰੇਸ॥
ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
ਤਉਨਤਉਨਉਚਾਰਹੋਤੁਮਰੇਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਅਸੇਸ॥
ਤੇਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
All the superb kings who had ruled over the earth, O Lord! With thy Grace, I describe at of them
ਭਰਥਰਾਜਬਿਤੀਤਭੇਭਏਰਾਜਾਸਗਰਰਾਜ॥
ਭਰਤਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਗਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੀਤਪਸਾਕਰੀਲੀਅਲਛਸੁਤਉਪਰਾਜਿ॥੬੩॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਦੀ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਲੱਖ ਪੁਤਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਲਏ ॥੬੩॥
There was king sagar after Bharat, who meditated on Rudra and performed austerities, he obtained the boon of one lakh sons.63.
ਚਕ੍ਰਬਕ੍ਰਧੁਜਾਗਦਾਭ੍ਰਿਤਸਰਬਰਾਜਕੁਮਾਰ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਟੇਢੇ ਚੱਕਰ, ਧੁਜਾਵਾਂ, ਗਦਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਕ (ਰਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ)।
ਲਛਰੂਪਧਰੇਮਨੋਜਗਿਆਨਿਮੈਨਸੁਧਾਰ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਆ ਕੇ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਣ।
They were princes of discus, banners and maces and it seemed that the god of love had manifested himself in lakhs of forms
ਬੇਖਬੇਖਬਨੇਨਰੇਸ੍ਵਰਜੀਤਿਦੇਸਅਸੇਸ॥
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ (ਬਾਣੇ) ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਦੇਸ ਜਿਤ ਲਏ ਹਨ।
ਦਾਸਭਾਵਸਬੈਧਰੇਮਨਿਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਨਰੇਸ॥੬੪॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਲੋਕ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਸ ਭਾਵ ਰਖਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੬੪॥
They conquered various countries and became kings considering them sovereigns became their servants.64.
ਬਾਜਮੇਧਕਰੈਲਗੈਹਯਸਾਲਿਤੇਹਯਚੀਨਿ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਗਰ ਅਸ਼੍ਵਮੇਧ ਯੱਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਗਾ (ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਘੋੜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਘੋੜਾ ਚੁਣ ਲਿਆ।
They selected a fine horse from their stable and decided to perform Ashvamedha Yajna
ਬੋਲਿਬੋਲਿਅਮੋਲਰਿਤੁਜਮੰਤ੍ਰਮਿਤ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸ਼ਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਰਿਤਜ (ਵੇਦ ਪਾਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੱਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ) ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ, ਮਿਤਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ।
They invited the ministers, friends and Brahmins
ਸੰਗਦੀਨਸਮੂਹਸੈਨਬ੍ਰਯੂਹਬ੍ਰਯੂਹਬਨਾਇ॥
(ਵੱਖਰੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ) ਟੋਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਲ ਸਹਿਤ (ਘੋੜੇ ਨਾਲ) ਤੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਜਤ੍ਰਤਤ੍ਰਫਿਰੈਲਗੇਸਿਰਿਅਤ੍ਰਪਤ੍ਰਫਿਰਾਇ॥੬੫॥
(ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਛੱਤਰ ਝੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਧਰ ਉਧਰ ਫਿਰਨ ਲਗੇ ॥੬੫॥
After that they gave groups of their forces to their ministers, who moved here and there, swinging the canopies over their heada.65.
ਜੈਤਪਤ੍ਰਲਹ੍ਯੋਜਹਾਤਹਸਤ੍ਰੁਭੇਸਭਚੂਰ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਗਏ ਉਥੇ ਵਿਜੈ-ਪੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
They obtained letter of victory from all the places and all their enemies were smashed
ਛੋਰਿਛੋਰਿਭਜੇਨਰੇਸ੍ਵਰਛਾਡਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਕਰੂਰ॥
ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ।
All the such kings ran away, forsaking their weapons
ਡਾਰਿਡਾਰਿਸਨਾਹਿਸੂਰਤ੍ਰੀਆਨਭੇਸਸੁਧਾਰਿ॥
ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਵਚ ਉਤਾਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਭਾਜਿਭਾਜਿਚਲੇਜਹਾਤਹਪੁਤ੍ਰਮਿਤ੍ਰਬਿਸਾਰਿ॥੬੬॥
ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਭਜ ਚਲੇ ॥੬੬॥
These warriors, putting off their armours, assuming the guise of women and forgetting their sons and friends, ran away here and there.66.
ਗਾਜਿਗਾਜਿਗਜੇਗਦਾਧਰਿਭਾਜਿਭਾਜਿਸੁਭੀਰ॥
ਗਦਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਇਰ ਲੋਕ ਭਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The mace-wielders thundered and the cowards fled away
ਸਾਜਬਾਜਤਜੈਭਜੈਬਿਸੰਭਾਰਬੀਰਸੁਧੀਰ॥
ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਜ਼ੋ, ਸਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਭਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਬੇਸੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Many warriors leaving their paraphernalia ran away
ਸੂਰਬੀਰਗਜੇਜਹਾਤਹਅਸਤ੍ਰਸਸਤ੍ਰਨਚਾਇ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਗਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ-ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜੀਤਿਜੀਤਿਲਏਸੁਦੇਸਨਜੈਤਪਤ੍ਰਫਿਰਾਇ॥੬੭॥
ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ ਵਿਜੈ ਪੱਤਰ ਫਿਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੭॥
Wherever there brave warriors thundered, activating their arms and weapons, they obtained victory and got the letter of conquest.67.
ਜੀਤਿਪੂਰਬਪਛਿਮੈਅਰੁਲੀਨਦਛਨਿਜਾਇ॥
ਪੂਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਤਾਕਿਬਾਜਚਲ੍ਯੋਤਹਾਜਹਬੈਠਿਥੇਮੁਨਿਰਾਇ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਜਿਥੇ ਮਹਾਮੁਨੀ (ਕਪਿਲ) ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ, ਘੋੜਾ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਧਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
They conquered the East, West and south and now the horse reached there where the grate sage Kapila was sitting
ਧ੍ਰਯਾਨਮਧਿਹੁਤੇਮਹਾਮੁਨਿਸਾਜਬਾਜਨਦੇਖਿ॥
ਮਹਾਮੁਨੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, (ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਸੁਸਜਿਤ ਘੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
ਪ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਪਛਖਰੋਭਯੋਰਿਖਿਜਾਨਿਗੋਰਖਭੇਖ॥੬੮॥
ਗੋਰਖ ਭੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ (ਘੋੜਾ) ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖੜੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੬੮॥
He was absorbed in meditation, he did not see the home, which seeing him in the guise of Gorakh, stood behind him.68.
ਚਉਕਚਿਤਰਹੇਸਬੈਜਬਦੇਖਿਨੈਨਨਬਾਜ॥
(ਘੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਲ ਰਹੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਚੌਂਕ ਪਏ ਜਦੋਂ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਘੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
When all the warriors did not see the horse, they were wonderstruks
ਖੋਜਿਖੋਜਿਥਕੇਸਬੈਦਿਸਚਾਰਿਚਾਰਿਸਲਾਜ॥
ਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ (ਘੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ) ਲਭ ਲਭ ਕੇ ਥਕ ਗਏ।
And in their shame, began to search for the horse in all the four direction
ਜਾਨਿਪਯਾਰਗਯੋਤੁਰੰਗਮਕੀਨਚਿਤਿਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਫਿਰ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਘੋੜਾ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਗਰਖਾਤਖੁਦੈਲਗੇਰਣਧੀਰਬੀਰਅਪਾਰ॥੬੯॥
ਅਪਾਰ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਸਗਰ (ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ) ਟੋਏ ਪੁਟਣ ਲਗੇ ॥੬੯॥
Thinking this that the horse had gone to the nether-world, they tried to enter that world by digging a comprehensive pit.69.
ਖੋਦਿਖੋਦਿਅਖੋਦਿਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਕ੍ਰੋਧਜੋਧਅਨੰਤ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਯੋਧੇ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਟੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਟ ਪੁਟ ਕੇ ਸੁਟੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਭਛਿਭਛਿਗਏਸਬੈਮੁਖਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਾਦੁਤਿਵੰਤ॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮੂੰਹ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਪੁਟ ਪੁਟ ਕੇ ('ਭਛਿ ਭਛਿ') ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
The furious warriors began to dig the earth and the brightness of their faces became earth like
ਸਗਰਖਾਤਖੁਦੈਲਗੇਦਿਸਖੋਦਦਛਨਸਰਬ॥
ਜਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੱਖਣ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਟ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ
ਜੀਤਿਪੂਰਬਕੋਚਲੇਅਤਿਠਾਨਕੈਜੀਅਗਰਬ॥੭੦॥
ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤਣ ਚਲ ਪਏ ॥੭੦॥
In this way when they made the whole of the South an abyss, then they conquering it advanced towards the East.70.
ਖੋਦਦਛਨਕੀਦਿਸਾਪੁਨਿਖੋਦਪੂਰਬਦਿਸਾਨ॥
ਦੱਖਣ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਟ ਕੇ (ਖੋਜ ਲਿਆ)
ਤਾਕਿਪਛਮਕੋਚਲੇਦਸਚਾਰਿਚਾਰਿਨਿਧਾਨ॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅਠਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰ (ਸਗਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ) ਪੂਰਬ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਟ ਕੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਲ ਚਲ ਪਏ।
After digging the south and the east, those warriors, who were experts in all the sciences, fell upon the west
ਪੈਠਿਉਤਰਦਿਸਾਜਬੈਖੋਦੈਲਗੇਸਭਠਉਰ॥
ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਟਣ ਲਗੇ
ਅਉਰਅਉਰਠਟੈਪਸੂਕਲਿਕਾਲਿਠਾਟੀਅਉਰ॥੭੧॥
(ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਮੂਰਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚਾਰ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਸੋਚ ਲਿਆ ਪਰ ਕਲਿਯੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਧਾਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੭੧॥
When, advancing towards the north, they began to dig the earth, they were thinking sometime else in their minds, but the Lord had thought otherwise.71.
